I had some really delicious fries, the service was friendly, but it's still a 3-star rating instead of a 5-star rating, as smoking is still permitted in the covered and heated area. This is, of course, the place where you'd want to eat your fries at this cold time of year. You don't want to sit with your children in the tobacco smoke or smell ashtrays. I thought that was a real shame, otherwise, the location is nice and the fries are delicious ✌🏼

Definitely don't eat here if you're gluten intolerant or celiac. The friendly man behind the counter started our conversation very friendly until I asked if he had anything gluten-free. He referred me to a folder on the counter that, in my opinion, didn't list all the snacks, but he also absolutely refused to bake my gluten-free snack separately. He didn't see the point. And he thought I was being a show-off. The fries are good, but if you want something with them, it wears off very quickly. I tried to explain to the man what I meant and wanted, but he interrupted me, so I couldn't even finish my story properly.

Delicious fries! But smoking among children eating is outdated. The only heated seating seems to be for smokers, not for children who, on a day like today, prefer to eat their fries in a heated spot. I also don't understand why a smoker can't stand outside for a cigarette and not right under the noses of small children eating. It's remarkable that sitting outside is still considered normal in 2025. A chip shop shouldn't want to set such an example. From now on, just get your fries from the neighbors.

A really nice location with plenty of seating for a quiet meal. The service is very friendly, and I have to say, the frietje stew was one of the best I've ever had. The fries are also truly fantastic, something a Belgian can be proud of, and the snacks were also delicious. In fact, an hour after our meal, we were still raving about the frietje stew. We only go there once a year to eat fries. As far as we are concerned, the best fries in Bergen op Zoom. Lots of choice in snacks. Friendly, experienced staff. Ample opportunities to sit and eat. Simple decor, but cozy. There is a lot of (free) parking, you are in a wooded area, but partly because of another children's play paradise/restaurant next door, it is often full. The Boshut is always a nice end to the day for us!

Well, how do you write something like that down... not well anyway. Quite a few things were missing from our order. That lady clearly didn't feel like working, which meant there was not a nice atmosphere inside. Not recommended. The only reason that this 'forest hut' is doing well is because people find the apple too expensive and too busy, so they just go here and get a nasty bite.

We regularly visit Frituur de Boshut. It is located in the wooded area of ​​our beautiful Bergen op Zoom. Here you can order delicious fries with a snack, or a delicious soft ice cream. The only thing they don't sell here is a hamburger sandwich. They serve this in cardboard containers. 👌Unfortunately, there is a plastic fork included. ☹️ The sauce is always minimal with fries with mayonnaise. You really have just enough. This could really be a bit more. They have a small indoor terrace. This is equipped with heaters. This is very nice during the colder time of the year. The only downside is that smoking is allowed here. There are ashtrays on the tables. When you're eating, I find it really disgusting if someone is smoking next to me. In addition, there are often children here, who are also exposed to this foul air. There is also a small outdoor terrace with picnic benches where you can sit covered or just in the sun. We think this is a chip shop with delicious fries.

Snack bar in a beautiful location that is also affordable and tasty. The first time for us but certainly not the last time.

I go there again and again with my family. My favorite is the strawberry crunch ice cream for dessert. The price is good for the quality and quantity you get. There are many seating areas and also covered.

We arrive just before 8 pm, I hadn't checked Google Maps to see when they close. I instinctively thought it was around 9 on a Saturday, but oh well. Don't go to a chip shop every week. I could just take my order and say “where do you want to eat?”: outside was no problem. Also received a buzzer. (Gives a signal when it's ready) Otherwise she would have given a signal or said that sitting outside is not possible. Ultimately I thought they would spend another half hour clearing and cleaning, but at 8:20 PM I ended up being looked away in a rude manner / witty remark by the boss and an angry-sounding young lady. Weird. Then just be clear.

Heerlijke lokatie waar je droog en verwarmd je frietje kunt eten.

Prima om een frietje te halen of buiten te zitten. Eten is lekker.

Lekkere frietjes in een leuke omgeving. Wil altijd druk rond etenstijd.

Essen war OK, aber nicht wirklich besonders hervorzuheben.

Lekker frituur snel en proper. Je kunt binnen als buiten eten of mee nemen…

Lekkere friet, helaas amper keuze voor de vegetarische eter. Roken onder de verwarmde dichte overkapping is toegestaan, wat niet prettig is als je met kinderen aan het eten bent. Update: Het stuk dat voor niet-rokers is was open en koud. Dit was mij niet ontgaan.

Amper m'n ijsje op , of de bestelling is al klaar. we hebben heerlijk gesmuld. De Boshut blijft voor mij een aanrader. Ondanks de de soms mindere reviews, blijft het gewoon een goed en lekker tentje. Oudoe en Bedankt !

Heerlijk even uitrusten en wat is het heerlijk om een lekkere softijs te nemen, de keuze is reuze! Je kunt zelf je samenstelling doen, heerlijk!

Lekkere frietjes, prijs kwaliteit prima...je kunt er goed overdekt zitten. Er is een dichte "serre" en er zijn ook een paar ruime zitjes onder een overkapping. Honden zijn welkom en er staan waterbakken, heel fijn als je net een wandeling in het bos hebt gemaakt. (Ook zeker de moeite waard!). Personeel is ook enthousiast en vriendelijk en we hebben niet lang hoeven wachten op onze bestelling.

Klein cafetaria met een niet super groot assortiment. Echter; wij gaan normaal naar de friettent hier in de wijk, maar deze is momenteel dicht door vakantie dus een keer voor de Boshut gekozen en ben verrast door de lekkere friet, niet te hard, personeel was vriendelijk en voor de rest de snacks ook gewoon goed. De mayo bij de sitostick was helaas wel vergeten, maar kan gebeuren. Voor iedereen hier die "klaagt" over de satesaus bij je speciaal en dat dat niet hoort; jawel, het is Bergen op Zoom en hier gaan ze er standaard vanuit dat je satesaus bij je speciaal wil als je dat niet wil dan dien je dat te zeggen. Overigens vroeg de dame die m'n bestelling opnam er wel gewoon naar :) . Al met al een prima zaak👍
