Unreal steak , atmosphere more relaxed date night sorta vibe , but would high recommend couldn’t fault it one bit !

Have to say called here on a spur of the moment and loved the place. Service is polite and attentive and food was incredible. Price was fair for the area well worth a visit !

Great if you want to have a frozen meal reheated, they absolutely don't cook here.

Delicious as always, both in Maastricht and here in Amsterdam. You won't find such delicious steaks anywhere else.

I was looking forward to a juicy piece of meat and ordered a 300-gram sirloin steak (Bife de Chorizo) on October 14th. When the meat was served, the young waitress asked, "Who's got the lomo?" I told her I'd ordered the sirloin steak, after which she picked up the plate and put it back down a moment later with an apology. I thought the apologies were for mentioning the wrong name. The meat was nicely prepared, but not juicy and fat-free, so completely different from what I'd ordered, and also on the dry side. Afterward, I learned that the bill had listed the 450-gram Churrasco de Cuadril. I shared my experience via the contact form on the website, but after more than three weeks, I still hadn't received a single response. What a shame! From Gauchos, you'd at least expect a response after such a mistake.

We arrived at 6:15 for our 6:30 reservation & were the 2nd table seated in the restaurant. We ordered the 3 steak meal to share for 2 cooked medium rare with the french fries with garlic & greens. The steaks were the best cooked steaks I’ve ever had. Very tender & cooked perfectly. The meal came out in short order. We also shared a bottle of Norton Merlot from Mendoza that was very good. Our waitress, Sarah, was so helpful. If we were staying longer, we would eat here again.

The food was delicious. I ordered a ribeye, very juicy and tender; cooked to perfection. The staff was very attentive and respectful. It was noisy inside, but I finally asked to go outside to the terrace to finish my dessert, and it was even better.

Location was amazing and staff was friendly. Food was good, but I excepted better for Argentinian grill place Hygiene can be better. I was looking at our waiter scratching and rubbing her nose all the time:( with the same hands she touches the food and everything on our table. Very sad I couldn’t enjoy the food after that.

They were really kind all the time, from the man who got us a table to the rest of the staff. Really grateful to Christian's full attention and help which turned a simple dinner into a special occassion. He advised us what to order because we were a bit lost and it was a total success. We will come back if we visit Amsterdam again.

When we came to Amasterdam for a business trip, we went to this restaurant. Meat dishes were good. An old restaurant. It had an authentic atmosphere.

I loved it. The entrecote was delicious. I highly recommend it. The service was 10/10. And the waitress spoke Spanish to me. For two people. With two entrecotes and potatoes, a delicious pickle sauce, mushroom and truffle sauce, and five beers, three large and two small. A total of 88 euros. Considering how expensive everything is in Amsterdam, the meat was 10/10, the service was 10/10, and everything was 10/10.

Ribs were nice but nothing spectacular. Service was good, but they didn't want to change orders. Not great, not terrible.

I had a great experience at Ashoka we were served by a very polite lady named Ranju she was very accommodating and made us feel really welcome! The food couldn’t have been better we will definitely recommend and return ourselves we had the butter chicken and the chicken madras for reference!

I ordered the churrasco and I do not recommend this restaurant. The food was not seasoned, no salt or pepper whatsoever. I added salt and pepper and it just didn’t do it for me. The cucumber salad was lackluster and so was the side salad we ordered. The pastel de nata was the only decent thing I ate. The wine was delicious, I ordered the Malbec. Will never eat there again!

El ambiente es excelente. Los camareros son muy amables y serviciales con la elección del menú. La cocina del norte de la India es muy auténtica. Probamos una variedad de platos vegetarianos, incluyendo entrantes, curry, biryani y rotis. La comida era simplemente increíble y las porciones eran generosas. Wonderfully tender bife de lomo. Good service. Recommended. A point of attention for the chef: do not leave the steak on the grill for too long because then it will no longer be medium rare, but well done. Received a new steak very quickly that was medium rare.

The sewer smell spoils the whole experience of the meal. Nasty smell of feces, I almost vomit while eating! I have always loved Gauchos, I have been going to it on Beethovenstraat for a long time. Now that this location has closed I have tried it a few times on the Spuistraat. The food is really good but I really hate that you have to eat steak for 120 euros in a sewer. We will not do this again

Definitely one of the best Nepalese/Indian restaurants we have dined in. Immaculately clean dining area, very polite and courteous waiter service together with very tasty dishes. Although there were lots of people dining whilst we were there, table service was calmly and efficiently executed and the ambiance which was in keeping with the cuisine felt very special. Should my wife and I return to Amsterdam we shall not miss another opportunity to savour their delights.

All very good. Starting with meat. The sirloin was exquisite. Tender and succulent. Also the really top accompaniments including the mushrooms presented as skewers, the spinach and the truffle patties. The desserts are also delicious, including the dulche de leche crepe. Ice cream and grilled pineapple. Staff all smiling and nice.

Tasty steak, but the service could be better The steak was tasty and well prepared, but unfortunately the service left much to be desired. I received a glass with someone else's lipstick, which is not very hygienic and can easily be avoided. Hopefully this will be paid more attention to in the future.

Excellent grilled meat, location close to the center

Yesterday I went to eat at gauchos with my friends. We have been to several branches and this was the first time in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, some things went wrong, when we were served the main course everything was lukewarm. My meat was even cold and a friend who asked for medium rare had her meat just raw! This was quickly resolved by the staff when we indicated this. Subsequently, the side dishes also turned out to be lukewarm and after asking several times for a drink, they forgot to bring it. We decided not to have dessert and left after paying. I think it's a shame that the evening turned out this way and that the dishes were not good. The meat was very tasty once it was warm and the staff was very friendly! This is why I gave it 3 stars.

The interior of the place is spacious, the food is of good quality, and the prices are moderate. If you want to eat meat, I definitely recommend it. The tenderloin was very delicious. The waiters provided very good service.

The restaurant is really beautiful, and the food was outstanding. The truffle naan was BEYOND. The server who took our order was a little abrupt, and we felt kind of rushed, but it didn’t even matter. The food and wine more than made up for it. Would definitely go back.

Honestly I was coming in with high expectations but what ruined this place was one of the servers (male short spanish guy) completely disrespectful when asking for the bill then proceeded to rush us with the payment. Por quality steak, I asked for a medium rare and I got a rare bleeding steak and chewy, service was terrible, with minimal attention and our waiter was very rude to us when we were trying to pay for our check and leave. Do not recommend if you enjoy steaks and don’t want to be treated like a nuisance for it.

Had a lovely meal at Gauchos in Amsterdam. We ordered the ribeye and salmon along with fries, corn on the cob, mushrooms, and salad. The food was well-seasoned and tasted great, though the corn was a little overdone on the grill. The restaurant is small and cozy, which adds to its charm. With two entrances—one being the smoking area—I was glad we were seated on the non-smoking side. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Décoration moderne , soignée, à l’ambiance tamisée. Carte de cuisine indienne , et un peu népalaise .Le personnel est accueillant et le service rapide . Nous avons pris le menu , avec dégustation variée. Tout était bon , bien cuisiné et épicé selon notre souhait . Le prix est très correct pour cette qualité . On y passe une bonne soirée.

Classic Argentine restaurant in Amsterdam, not far from the central station. Small but stylish location, meat is the queen of the menu and fillet is king! The typical dessert with dulce de lece is also very good, recommended!

our first dinner in Amsterdam and was perfection!! Only empty plates in sight, every piece of meat cooked exactly how was requested and not a degree above or below. Service was wonderful as well, and the ambience fit the style of the meal wonderfully. I don’t even have a picture of my meal, just the licked clean plate for proof.

We reserved the table but the booking system only allowed us to book for 4 people so my wife and daughter went ahead to explain and hope that they could sit us comfortably. They did manage to put us in a 6 seater table but then the manager decided to state that the table had to be available for 8:15 pm. I said quite emphatically that provided they do their normal good service then we should have no issues. Unfortunately things went south wrong and quickly. I asked for tap water and they offered only bottled water. After setting Thad walked for an hour and only wanted to quench my thirst quickly with some tap water and after some convincing I did finally get my tap water. My children wanted salmon but they only had one salmon. My wife and I really wanted their steak because usually it is so good. But today our medium cooked steak came out well done and dried and like it had been sitting on the side. We did actually have to chase our dinner and with the pressure they had put us under to get off our table we chased our dinner to which it came out quickly once someone asked the chefs for our meals. Hoewel eerst van plan de vestiging in West uit te proberen toch Centrum genomen omdat de tram daar vrijwel langs komt. Ontvangen in een gezellige ambience. Diverse menu opties die leuk zijn als de keuken je onbekend is maar ook a la carte waar ik de voorkeur aan geef. Als voorgerechten nemen we de Vegetable Samosa's en de Sheek Kebab die beiden heel smekelijk zijn. Bij de Chicken Tikka Masala wordt gevraagd hoe pittig we die willen hebben en de 'medium' is zeker voldoende. De Lamb Biryani blijkt ook erg lekker. Kortom, de volgende keer ook die in West uitproberen!

Good Steakhouse in the city center of Amsterdam close to the Central Station. The waiters speed and reaction times could be improved as well as the waiting time for the main dishes. Food quality is good but all our steaks came overcooked. The offered to redo /exchange the meat which is fair but also food waste so we didn’t go for that option. Cheese bread as a starter is great. Overall ok but can be improved.

Excellent steaks!! This restaurant, right in the centre of Amsterdam makes the best steaks, nothing like all those tourist places around, this is great food. Also the service, unlike many restaurants in the Netherlands, is always great. Don't miss it, just 3 minutes from the central station and 4 minutes from the Dam square.

Very good food, a good ancho steak, good malbec, fries, dulce de leche pancake, when you arrive at the hotel a good Glifage lol very good, take the taxi on the parallel street in front of you when leaving the restaurant, the huber doesn't stop on this street .

Excellent meats, very good service and affordable prices. They have menu options of two or three courses, different sizes (weights) of meats, that is, options for all budgets and appetites. Truly an excellent option to which I would return without hesitation.
