Wow , what a lovely Indian restaurant , very nice cosy vibe and the food was excellent Very glad we found this place and tried it after reading the reviews. Best Indian food we had experienced in a long time

Excellent grilled meat, location close to the center

Yesterday I went to eat at gauchos with my friends. We have been to several branches and this was the first time in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, some things went wrong, when we were served the main course everything was lukewarm. My meat was even cold and a friend who asked for medium rare had her meat just raw! This was quickly resolved by the staff when we indicated this. Subsequently, the side dishes also turned out to be lukewarm and after asking several times for a drink, they forgot to bring it. We decided not to have dessert and left after paying. I think it's a shame that the evening turned out this way and that the dishes were not good. The meat was very tasty once it was warm and the staff was very friendly! This is why I gave it 3 stars.

The interior of the place is spacious, the food is of good quality, and the prices are moderate. If you want to eat meat, I definitely recommend it. The tenderloin was very delicious. The waiters provided very good service.

The restaurant is really beautiful, and the food was outstanding. The truffle naan was BEYOND. The server who took our order was a little abrupt, and we felt kind of rushed, but it didn’t even matter. The food and wine more than made up for it. Would definitely go back.

Por quality steak, I asked for a medium rare and I got a rare bleeding steak and chewy, service was terrible, with minimal attention and our waiter was very rude to us when we were trying to pay for our check and leave. Do not recommend if you enjoy steaks and don’t want to be treated like a nuisance for it.

Honestly I was coming in with high expectations but what ruined this place was one of the servers (male short spanish guy) completely disrespectful when asking for the bill then proceeded to rush us with the payment. I would not recommend to anyone that wants good customer service. Also got my order wrong and still decided to have an attitude

Had a lovely meal at Gauchos in Amsterdam. We ordered the ribeye and salmon along with fries, corn on the cob, mushrooms, and salad. The food was well-seasoned and tasted great, though the corn was a little overdone on the grill. The restaurant is small and cozy, which adds to its charm. With two entrances—one being the smoking area—I was glad we were seated on the non-smoking side. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Loved it here, the atmosphere is as you'd expect in a steak restaurant. The service from the staff was on point, some good humour also. Steaks were cooked to perfection! Would recommend stopping here if you are in the area, great location for a walk afterwards.

Tasty food, everything was delicious and freshly prepared, friendly staff too. Great cosmopolitan cocktails too! Bit the cheapest place to eat but lovely meal and comfortable surroundings.

This spot is not recomended for Indian food. They have altered the food taste. I don't recommend for anyone who is looking forward to try Indian food

Décoration moderne , soignée, à l’ambiance tamisée. Carte de cuisine indienne , et un peu népalaise .Le personnel est accueillant et le service rapide . Nous avons pris le menu , avec dégustation variée. Tout était bon , bien cuisiné et épicé selon notre souhait . Le prix est très correct pour cette qualité . On y passe une bonne soirée.

Excellent sirloin steak and ribeye, fries and salad. The steaks were perfectly cooked and buttery soft. Great dining option! Carpaccio was too cold and therefore the taste was less..all in all a good enough. Pleasant staff and attentive service

Really economy choice, rump only 18EUR for one person is enough, sides mostly between 5-10EUR, and it tease also good, will back again

Classic Argentine restaurant in Amsterdam, not far from the central station. Small but stylish location, meat is the queen of the menu and fillet is king! The typical dessert with dulce de lece is also very good, recommended!

The atmosphere was very relaxed. We were delayed but the restaurant was very flexible. Dinner was great and very tasteful. The cocktails went along nicely. Staff was friendly and helpful.

our first dinner in Amsterdam and was perfection!! Only empty plates in sight, every piece of meat cooked exactly how was requested and not a degree above or below. Service was wonderful as well, and the ambience fit the style of the meal wonderfully. I don’t even have a picture of my meal, just the licked clean plate for proof.

Excellent quality meat. Picanha and Churrasco do Quadril of excellent quality and flavor. Very well made. The friendly and efficient staff.

We reserved the table but the booking system only allowed us to book for 4 people so my wife and daughter went ahead to explain and hope that they could sit us comfortably. They did manage to put us in a 6 seater table but then the manager decided to state that the table had to be available for 8:15 pm. I said quite emphatically that provided they do their normal good service then we should have no issues. Unfortunately things went south wrong and quickly. I asked for tap water and they offered only bottled water. After setting Thad walked for an hour and only wanted to quench my thirst quickly with some tap water and after some convincing I did finally get my tap water. My children wanted salmon but they only had one salmon. My wife and I really wanted their steak because usually it is so good. But today our medium cooked steak came out well done and dried and like it had been sitting on the side. We did actually have to chase our dinner and with the pressure they had put us under to get off our table we chased our dinner to which it came out quickly once someone asked the chefs for our meals. Honestly with the chips, bread, mushroom sides we were losing our appetite for the steak but it arrived 20 minutes after complaining. We will come again and hope for the same experience we have had several times before. We took the steak away in a "doggy bag" and hope we can cook it again to our liking. Great food and friendly staff but don't order water unless you're willing to pay 6,5€ for 0,75L of plain flat mineral water. For us it spoiled the whole experience.

Really great Indian food. Very delicious with varied spices that literally explodes in your mouth. Dining here was truly an experience. Service was also great. Who would ask for more.

Hoewel eerst van plan de vestiging in West uit te proberen toch Centrum genomen omdat de tram daar vrijwel langs komt. Ontvangen in een gezellige ambience. Diverse menu opties die leuk zijn als de keuken je onbekend is maar ook a la carte waar ik de voorkeur aan geef. Als voorgerechten nemen we de Vegetable Samosa's en de Sheek Kebab die beiden heel smekelijk zijn. Bij de Chicken Tikka Masala wordt gevraagd hoe pittig we die willen hebben en de 'medium' is zeker voldoende. De Lamb Biryani blijkt ook erg lekker. Kortom, de volgende keer ook die in West uitproberen!

We ordered mains and starters. The mains were birianis. They tasted really good. The service good as always. Will come back for sure.

Good Steakhouse in the city center of Amsterdam close to the Central Station. The waiters speed and reaction times could be improved as well as the waiting time for the main dishes. Food quality is good but all our steaks came overcooked. The offered to redo /exchange the meat which is fair but also food waste so we didn’t go for that option. Cheese bread as a starter is great. Overall ok but can be improved.

Excellent steaks!! This restaurant, right in the centre of Amsterdam makes the best steaks, nothing like all those tourist places around, this is great food. Also the service, unlike many restaurants in the Netherlands, is always great. Don't miss it, just 3 minutes from the central station and 4 minutes from the Dam square.

We were there for the second time. Simply delicious and excellent service. We will be back! Top steaks!

Good food, friendly people, good service

Very good food, a good ancho steak, good malbec, fries, dulce de leche pancake, when you arrive at the hotel a good Glifage lol very good, take the taxi on the parallel street in front of you when leaving the restaurant, the huber doesn't stop on this street .

If you are looking for perfect steak in Amsterdam, this is the place.

Excellent meats, very good service and affordable prices. They have menu options of two or three courses, different sizes (weights) of meats, that is, options for all budgets and appetites. Truly an excellent option to which I would return without hesitation.

The Spanish waitress girl, is so amazing, so kind, and great at her job.

Enorme lappen (voorbeeld) vlees lag bij binnenkomst op de bar bij de keuken onder een glazenbol. Dat is niet meer van deze tijd! Het was erg warm in het restaurant en het vlees verkleurde waar we bij zaten. De keuken zag vies en rommelig. We kregen alleen een stuk vlees en 3 blaadjes rucola. Alles was karig en onaantrekkelijk opgediend, ondanks wat wij er al extra bijbesteld hadden. Er wordt geen rekening gehouden met de veganisten onder ons. Hiervoor is geen keuze. De flensjes kwamen uit de magnetron. Er is totaal geen kwaliteit meer bij Gauchos.

Gauchos op de Spui is echt verschrikkelijk. Er hangt een rioolachtige lucht, vlees niet goed bereid en koud geserveerd. Er zat een smaakje aan de champignonnensaus wat k niet vertrouwde, aangebrande gegrilde champignon. Terwijl de locatie op Reguliersbreestraat echt heerlijk is!! Dus ik raad Gauchos daar zeker aan.

Good Argentinian restaurant in Amsterdam. They also have a couple of vegetarian options, but it's mainly recommended if you like meat. Food is good and service very nice. Carrot cake recommended

Onbeperkt spare ribs gegeten. Voldoende en goede kwaliteit. Enige minpunt is dat je de riolering rook door de hele zaak. Wc's stonken ook naar riool

Heel lekker eten, vriendelijke bediening, vlees was perfect gebakken. Groot voordeel is dat je het gewicht van je steak kan kiezen. Er was een foutje gebeurd bij de bestelling, maar dit was vlug en correct opgelost door de manager. Een absolute aanrader voor een lekker stukje vlees als je in Amsterdam bent!

Always a treat to come here with friends, my brother or with last time colleagues. We were a little early, the place take you back to brown stylish seventies, dim lights, cute ladies at the bar. We had a few shared starters, nice but little underwhelming for the price. Beers nothing special on tap, vodka very poor pour. Like in really... 8 vodkas and still only a drip no hey this drip is on the house? spareribs unlimited for the 3 of us. Fast, nice firmly cooked. And this is the problem... Gauchos relying on succes from past. Slow cooked spare ribs at braai near westerpark are way better. So in the gist, expensive, good but not great. A slow demise. You can do better find the joy of the art you had before!

Eten al zo lang ik er kom (ongeveer 30 jaar) consistent goed! Service ook al die jaren prima op orde! Prijs ad hoge kant, en als het druk is is het wel lawaaierig. Met een moeder met hoortoestel die alles op volle sterkte binnen krijgt, slurpt de drukke sfeer dan energie...

A bit pricey but good cuts of meat

Great ambience, table specific lightning that makes it romantic yet bright. Music enough to listen to it without interfering in your conversation. We went there for the all you can eat spare ribs. Came with a side ( we went for sweet potato fries and french fries). The ribs were to die for. Cooked to perfection properly grilled with one of the most delicious BBQ sauce to accompany it. For dessert we shared lemon sorbet which was perfect pallet cleansing after all that delicious ribs. We had the pleasure to be served by one very polite, friendly and sweet french lady.

Anders dan de andere filialen is de inrichting hier iet wat anders. Bediening was niet goed. Onervaren enkel karig Engels sprekende ober noteerde het ea verkeerd. Voor gerechten waren niet genoteerd, waardoor het hoofd gerecht gelijk kwam en terug moest naar de keuken! Verder waren de sides niet goed genoteerd. Wat onacceptabel was naar mijn mening was dat de frietjes ( we hadden eigenlijk de ambachtelijke dikke besteld maar goed) waren opnieuw gefrituurd, en bij ons op tafel gezet! Al bij al is dit een filiaal waar ik niet opnieuw zal reserveren daarom ook niet zal aanraden.

Essen sehr lecker. 😋 Fleisch perfekt gegrillt. Personal super freundlich und zuvorkommend.
