Gio's Surinaams Eethuis in Noordhoek

I ordered well in advance to avoid delays. In the end, the food arrived 40 minutes after the agreed-upon time. When I called after half an hour to ask if it would be much longer, the woman on the phone wasn't very friendly and told me it was very busy and the delivery driver had just left. Finally, the food arrived, and it was cold. It wasn't properly packaged for the cold outside either. The food itself was tasteless. The potatoes weren't cooked through, but still hard. I ordered vegetarian roti, but you could taste that the long beans and potatoes had come into contact with the chicken. Not a big deal for me, but otherwise, it's just not good when you offer vegetarian dishes. The egg that came with it was bone hard, very cold, and gray inside. There were also hard bits in it. After a few bites, I started having stomach aches from the food. I vomited that same night. Probably spoiled food. Don't order here if you want food, because it's so spoiled that you'll only get a stomach ache.

I ordered a delicious saoto special. It was a large portion for me, and I could eat it twice. Delivery was fast and the delivery person was friendly.

Order here if you want food poisoning. You pay a fortune for spoiled food. The chicken satay was sour and smelled like cat pee, and everything was cold. Never again. Yuck, yuck.

A while back, we went to Gio Surinaams in Tilburg, just across the border. (We do that often.) We were even better! Authentic Surinamese dishes bursting with flavor, generous portions, and a warm, no-nonsense atmosphere, despite there being only a few tables. The service is genuinely friendly, and the food is prepared with love. You can feel it, you can taste it. Highly recommended for anyone who loves spicy, home-style comfort food. Fantastic!!!

Yesterday I ordered special roti chicken and today bami with chicken is good to eat, I will order from Gio's more often

Mega dry roti plate, almost no curry sauce in the containers, and the color of the curry is wrong. Not a good meal, first and last time. And expensive.

We think the chef is having an off day, because the food was terrible. The roti plate was so dry that it crumbled completely. The chicken with vegetables contained too much salt. The teloh cassava was also very dry and I could barely swallow it. The batfish was also too salty. The food was really bad and I won't order from here again!! V€€l for little.

Chicken and potatoes were dry and tasteless. Long beans were not tasty. Everything except Surinamese.

We had a bami satay special and a gadogado for 29 euros. The satay was completely burnt and gsdogado was raw. We have never eaten something so bad for so much money. They should be ashamed to give this away like this.

Recommended!! Food was well prepared and very tasty. The chicken was tender & the taste was good. You also get a lot of food (roti special), so I could even eat it twice. I was very full! Perfect when you don't feel like cooking. My husband and I enjoyed it, thank you!

Just got 2 sandwiches. One with bacon cha sieuw and one with bakkeljauw. Tasty sandwiches! The rolls themselves, the filling, the pepper could use a little more. Nice place and friendly people!

De porties zijn klein voor het bedrag dat je betaald. Het eten is tevens niet bijzonder van smaak. De service was wel goed.

Today I was on the phone with the owner of Gio's. Friendly woman, but unfortunately not open to helping a regular customer. An order has been prepared incorrectly. There was something wrong with the chicken satay and 1.5 hours later severe stomach complaints also occurred. Now it is the case that Mrs. I expect that I would not be the only customer who would experience this problem. (In other words, Mrs. does not believe that anything can go wrong if it only concerns one order). Since prices have skyrocketed recently, Mrs. was not open to reimbursing my (wrong) order. As a loyal customer of Gio's, I never saw this coming. So keep in mind that if your order is prepared incorrectly, there is a chance that you could be flashed by the company.

Delicious Surinamese food at Gio's. Here people really cook with love and very affordable. Ate in the restaurant and also had it delivered to your home. The owner is in the kitchen herself and makes everything fresh. I really enjoy her cooking. My compliments. 👌 I'm very surprised to read the bad reviews. If you are looking for a stick to hit, you will always find one. Read that someone thought the roti tasted chemically. I regularly peeked into the kitchen and saw that every roti is freshly made. I have already eaten several dishes here and they are all equally good. People also compare prices with businesses from Utrecht, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, etc. Wrong comparison. I have just returned from a day's stay with my son in Rotterdam and there the prices of vegetables, fruit, chicken and meat are at least 30% lower. There are also more wholesalers close to home. Here in Tilburg they are dependent on those wholesalers who charge higher prices due to the greater distance that has to be covered for delivery. It's sad that an entrepreneur who works so hard and cooks so well is being crushed like this.

If you order your moksi without chicken but add bacon instead, you will receive 2 pieces of chicken. If you call to report it (and yes, disappointed because you clearly stated it and the food is not really cheap), you get a rude employee on the line who also says in the background: I don't care! Eventually I got my bacon, but by then I had already finished eating, otherwise my noodles would have been cold. Not recommended!

Best lekker eten hoor, maar daar is helaas alles mee gezegd. Mijn 'vaste prik' bestelling bij Surinaamse eethuizen in het hele land is een blikje gemberbier, 1 vegetarische roti en een portie bakkeljouw. Helaas was een losse portie bakkeljouw hier niet mogelijk (!?), waarom niet werd niet uitgelegd. Heel bot en klantonvriendelijk. ik moest er rijst of een broodje of telo bij nemen, anders kreeg ik geen bakkeljouw. Nou ja. De roti plaat was echt niet goed, niet lekker en te dik, maar de rest was prima. De grootste schrik kwam bij het afrekenen. 26 euro! Elders bij diverse Surinaamse eet tenten in Utrecht, Rotterdam, Amsterdam betaal ik voor dezelfde bestelling 12 à 15 euro. Ook kon er niet gepind worden, en dat is echt niet van deze tijd. Ik moest bij het tankstation aan de overkant maar even cash pinnen... Ze rekenen voor middelmatig eten de hoofdprijs maar een paar cent voor een pinbetaling kan er niet af? Wat een afknapper. Ik kom hier niet meer terug.

Geweldige service en fantastiche gastvrijheid heerlijk gegeten

Bezorging en communicatie is goed. Personeel is heel vriendelijk en gemoedelijk! De roti zelf smaakt heel goed, alleen de smaakmaker, dus de saus/jus waar de bakkeljauw, aardappel en ei in ligt was erg aan de flauwe kant helaas. Ik vond het echt heel jammer, ondanks dat ik er toch van genoten had. Hopelijk wordt er hierin verbeterd! (Ook gezien de andere recensies), dit is sonde, niet nodig!

Vantevoren gebeld om mijn bestelling door te geven. Alles stond warm klaar bij aankomst. Afrekenen en thuis lekker kunnen genieten van Surinaams eten. ❤!

Lekker Surinaamse maaltijden .ook afhalen en bezorgen.

We hebben 2 uur moeten wachten op eten wat we hebben besteld. Verder geen tegemoetkoming. Het enige excuus wat ze geven is dat ze het druk hadden!! Erg slecht

Geen smaak, duur en super lange bezorgtijd (1,5 uur). Kip is smakeloos en droog, kousenband is gewoon diepvries sperzieboontjes, bara is taai en ga zo maar door..

Via Quiet gewonnen en wat was het lekker , Wij hebben zo genoten van het eten Zelfs mijn kinderen vroegen mama mogen we nog meer , wij hebben het gewonnen Maar bestellen is het zeker waard! Normaal moeten we 2 uur wachten tot het is bezorgd...en dan goed te eten...maar vandaag binnen een half uur bezorgd maar meer als de helft is de prullenbak in gegaan...hele zak was doorweekt en weinig aardappelen bij de roti en de rest was ook flink onder de maat...voorlopig geen gio meer voor ons en dat voor dat geld.?!

4 roti gehaald, half uur voor gereden. 1.5 minuut binnen, half uur terug. Het was heerlijk en nog goed warm. Iets meer aardappel en kousenband had gemogen! Over de smaak geen enkele klacht.

Iedereen die in Tilbug op bezoek komt, zou hiernaartoe moeten! Weinig plekken in Nederland waar je zulke heerlijke Surinaamse gerechten kan smullen. Vooral de roti, telo en sauto natuurlijk. Daarnaast behoort Gio’s eethuis ook wel tot de top. Heel simpel concept met afhaal/brengservice en het is altijd vers. Personeel werkt erg hard en snel!! Complimenten!

Wij bestellen hier regelmatig, altijd goed. Ik zelf ben vooral fan van hun soto soep speciaal en de roti. Vriendelijk personeel.

Eten was best goed, maar service was nin existend. Super jammer. Mooie plek maar gewoon service is gewoon niet goed.

Meestal bestellen we hier online en laten dan bezorgen. Eten is van behoorlijk constante kwaliteit, maar op drukke tijden minder van smaak, maar dan nog steeds zeer smakelijk. Ik kom zelf uit Den Haag en daar moet je ook echt zoeken naar een roti die zo smaakt als bij Gio's. Minpunt vind ik toch wel de hoge prijzen en het feit dat je voor belachelijk kleine cupjes sambal bij je eten standaard moet betalen! Een cupje sambal van het huis voor toch al niet goedkoop (maar wel lekker) eten moet er toch wel van af kunnen zou je denken.

Via Quiet een bestelling mogen doen; mw heeft voor ons een menu samen gesteld en dit was meer als voldoende én het belangrijkste héérlijk! Bij het wachten kregen we zelfs een blikje drinken. Top service.

Gerechten missen de kruiden en de hollandse zuinigheid aan kip kan echt niet. Voor mij de laatste keer.
