Gollem Aan Het Water in Oostelijke Eilanden/Kadijken

Watched Ajax yesterday at this cozy café. Afterwards, we had a few drinks downstairs. Great place!

Pub with mainly regulars from the neighbourhood, super friendly staff and delicious special beers!

Very reasonably priced considering it’s in the heart of Amsterdam. Lovely music and snacks! If you are looking for a cosy chilled atmosphere, this is your place!

Just wanted to have a beer at Gollem. Normally a nice, cozy place to do this (Anouk) (hence the 2 stars). I walked in, and there was no one there except the bartender and one of his acquaintances. I waited for 5 minutes, and the bartender kept chatting with someone I knew. After 5 minutes, I'd had enough, so I grabbed a newspaper and went upstairs to wait. I sat there for 25 minutes. No one came. I finished the newspaper and left. Unbelievable.

Another place in Amsterdam another mediocre experience regarding the service. Took more than five minutes to get acknowledged and another around ten minutes for a beer to arrive the table. I ordered a Bacchus kriek and received a Bacchus framboise. Said to myself never mind,either way I’m going to drink it. Then I ordered for the second time a Bacchus kriek only to be informed that they were out,which is ok with me so I got another beer. Along my second beer I also ordered a side of fries which I never received. The server seemed to be struggling in this place as I noticed that a lot of customers from the terrace where going to the bar to get their drinks themselves The beers are nice and they have a big selection to choose from. The food I can’t judge since I never got the fries I ordered

Ok was a rainy evening and therefore very quiet but the barman didn't feel like it either. Beer menu is quite conservative and Belgian oriented, if you are looking for something more exciting you can go to many places in Amsterdam better, besides the prices are also no reason to take a seat here.

11.40 euro really?? 👎🏻 and the excuse was “it’s Amsterdam….I’m sorry but there are better places in Amsterdam, with no attitude and reasonable prices

Great place to stop for a beer and some snacks, the cheese board, fried cheese sticks and beef dumplings were all very tasty.

Very nice place! Nice on the water in a quiet spot. Unfortunately, a boy around 25 works here who comes across as very arrogant/customer unfriendly.

I really like their own blonde beer. Fries were tasty as well. There are tables outside. Neighborhood is cozy.

Awesome spot to grab a beer or five. Plenty of seating on the main level, upstairs or on the patio if you are lucky. Sit enjoy a large selection of craft beers right on the canal. The service was also really friendly and helpful. I highly recommend traveling a bit off the beaten path to enjoy some of your afternoon at Gollem Aan Het Water.

On a sunny evening we enjoyed a beer tasting and a cheese plate. The beers that were served matched our preferences (we were asked in advance about any preferences and what you did not like). Everything was explained and poured enthusiastically. The terrace itself is not large, but very attractive!

We had some lovely beers: the bartender listened to what we like and recommended the perfect option! We also tried the Bitterballen with mustard and fries, which tasted amazing. It's a reasonably priced and lesser known place, mostly frequented by locals. Tourists should come here after a visit to the zoo!

We tried to order some food and got informed that the kitchen was closed, no problem we got some snacks from the bar. Order the tasting, they had no cheese, no problem we got offered more beer instead. What I didn’t like was that the guy behind the bar was eating some fried stuff from the kitchen when we just wanted to order the same haha don’t want to sell? Okay! But don’t eat 2m away from the table that just asked you for some food, not very professional… anyway… The German lady was lovely, we will be back before the kitchen closes and maybe have a better experience

The nicest staff and incredible terrace on the canal. I love this place! They have Brand, Gollem Blond, Gollem IPA, T’ij Zatte and Walhalla on tap. We ordered curly fries and the kimchi croquettes - which were so lovely. Can’t recommend enough.

This place is an ode to beer! Laidback atmosphere, very friendly and professional staff.

A pub with a terrace for nice days, for all people without a garden or terrace in the city. You can still park your bicycle there. But no further.

Cosy pub that is family friendly. Outside seating is available. Perfect if you want a quiet drink. The zoo is close by so there are opportunities to see some giraffes and elephants.

We came here for a drink and we really enjoyed it. They have a wide selection of beers; we had the Gollem Blond which we enjoyed. They have a great outdoor area as well as inside seating and the service was also incredible.

Fully recommend the beer and cheese tasting, we loved it so much! Sit right next to the water and enjoy the sun go by. Plus the staff is lovely :)

Heerlijk bierkroegje aan 't water. Nota bene in een oud pakhuis die vroeger doorgaans gebruikt werden voor gerst/mout opslag voor brouwerijen .leuk assortiment bieren en goede, vlotte bediening. Toppie.!
