€61.50 for 3 pizzas, so you’d expect something... First of all, we had to search hard to find the mini pizzas in the box. Because there are only vegetarian ingredients, we were unfortunately forced to choose the vegetarian pepperoni. I would recommend everyone buy a can of cat food at the nearby supermarket and spread it on a slice of bread. Then bake it in the oven at 200 degrees, and the result is the same. Thank me later for this lifehack.

The pizza was mediocre, the service incredibly unfriendly, and the prices extremely high. One large salami pizza, one large Margherita, and one small Margherita: 43 euros!!!

The worst restaurant meal I can remember having recently! I ordered the poke bowl; the rice tasted undercooked and at least a day old. My children’s veggie burger and cheeseburger were so greasy and falling apart that neither finished more than half, despite us being ravenously hungry. The cheeseburger was particularly disgusting — tasted like the cheapest possible meal filler. No one came by to check on us at any point after the food came. I had to find the waiter to pay. Paid over 100 euros for 3 people and had a TERRIBLE first introduction to Het Heijderbos. I pre ordered the buffet package for breakfast and dinner but now my kids don’t even want to try it, and I understand why. UPDATE: The buffet restaurant is excellent!

What an incredibly bad experience. To be honest, I had expected much more, especially at a resort where you pay a lot of money for your stay. The accommodations, the surroundings, and the facilities are beautifully maintained, but as soon as you start eating at this restaurant, it feels like you enter a completely different world. The service was downright terrible. We arrived with a small child, and I politely asked if someone could get a high chair. At that moment, there were literally only three tables on the terrace. Yet, I was told that I had to get the high chair myself. I stood there with a crying child in my arms, while the shift leader, Jeroen, made absolutely no effort to help. To me, that says it all about the hospitality and service orientation of this restaurant. Additionally, we had to wait a very long time for our food. When it was finally served, it turned out the order was wrong as well. No apologies, no sense that they really felt bad about it, but mostly an attitude as if it was all perfectly normal. A shift leader is supposed to set a good example for his team, but in this case, Jeroen showed absolutely no leadership or customer friendliness. Precisely someone in such a position should understand that a small gesture, like grabbing a high chair for a parent with a crying child, makes the difference between good and bad service. What I perhaps find most incomprehensible is that Center Parcs chooses to partner with a hospitality organization that delivers this level of service and quality. You pay a lot of money for a holiday at a beautiful park with nice facilities, but the hospitality completely detracts from it. The quality of the food is mediocre, the service is poor, and the price-quality ratio is completely off. For a park that presents itself as a premium holiday destination, this hospitality is a huge disappointment. It is a shame, because it significantly drags down the overall holiday experience. I hope Center Parcs will take a critical look at this, because this level absolutely does not fit with the rest of the park. Unfortunately for us, it is an experience we would rather not repeat.

Friendly staff, but we found the food disappointing; it took a long time before we received our food and the service is not very fast.

Very poor service. We ordered cocktails, and the lady spilled some of them when she brought them to the table. She didn't even wipe the table afterward; everything spilled onto the floor and our clothes. The cocktails didn't taste very good either. I definitely wouldn't recommend visiting.

We do not serve tap water for babies.

The service could be better: it took a very long time before we were seen, or there was too little staff; otherwise, what we ordered was fine, but it could be much more efficient.

We hadn't ordered anything complicated, and they couldn't even manage it. None of us finished our meals because we didn't want to put ourselves through that any longer. My wife's meal was okay, hence the two stars.

The atmosphere is great, but the price/quality ratio is terrible. The staff (during the day) is terrible: they don't walk around the designated areas, don't notice you, and return with an empty tray after serving while several tables were full of empty plates, etc. This improved considerably in the evening, but in the afternoon it was consistently terrible. The food prices are also excessive; you can't charge over €20 for a carpaccio sandwich, over €14 for a toasted sandwich, and over €25 for fish and chips. One of the lesser Grand Cafés in CP.

Very expensive, but edible. Small portion of schnitzel for €26, fries unsalted. Flammkuchen with salmon €20. Service was friendly, but the atmosphere is right in the middle of the main hall of Center Parcs, so it was noisy and crowded. For what it is, simply too expensive.

A beautiful Grand Café with a fun and extensive food and drink menu. Everything is catered for, from lunch and dinner to a kids' menu. It's also great that they offer local specialties from the area. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

We had tomato soup with toasted bread and pesto on the side, followed by coffee and cake (we really liked the chocolate cake, but the apple pie was also delicious). Everything tasted good and the price was perfectly reasonable. Unfortunately, service is rather slow when it's not busy, and when it's busy, you wait quite a while. Once your order is taken, it's quick, and the service was very friendly on our visit. This is also a great place to go with children. There's sometimes a show for kids in the afternoon and evening.

Dinner is not recommended. Chicken wings were very dry, the schnitzel was very thick and extremely dry, impossible to eat without a drink, and the fries were NOT salted, so it's better to order sauce with them. Very expensive for the quality. You have to order via a QR code, which we did after sitting around for 10 minutes, and then you have to pay directly via it. It's very inconvenient. You have to order a drink again and then order it again via the QR code. It makes you think twice about getting an energy drink at the supermarket.

We practically had to beg to be served. Drinks were expensive but okay. Nothing more. The food was beyond compare. A medium-sized Bollo (with meat substitute) on soft noodles for €19.95. The prices are too high for such snacks. There's a lack of fresh food. We really had a problem finding something tolerable to eat. Expensive is part of it. It would be nice if it were at least edible or if we could fill ourselves up. Big praise goes out to Tim. Since he arrived, the evening has been fantastic. Finally, someone from the service team who actually understands service.

Center Parcs is currently running a promotion ("See you soon" game) where you can redeem a voucher, for example, for a free pastry with a cup of coffee. We had one of these vouchers and wanted to use it immediately with our order. To our surprise, this wasn't allowed: the staff insisted we had to wait a while before returning, and we should come back later. When I asked why this wasn't allowed, I received no explanation. Moreover, the terms and conditions don't state anywhere that you can't redeem the voucher immediately. The result: we had to leave empty-handed and return an hour later to place the exact same order. Frankly, that feels rather illogical and unfriendly to customers. Especially considering the already high prices in the grand café, I still find this a strange and unnecessarily frustrating experience. It's a shame, because this kind of promotion should be fun and welcoming.

Really bad, ordered the Jungle chocolate ice cream, it was tasty but super small for 6.25 for that small thing is ridiculous.

Strawberry Daiquiri - the picture says it all... It's missing ice cubes, the decoration, and the taste is like a ready-made mix from a Tetra Pak. A shame for €11. Can't recommend it.

The service is a disaster. Either the employees are overwhelmed, or they're being forced to work. You had to clearly signal your presence every time you wanted to place an order, and then you felt like you were being asked for an annoying favor. The food was below average, and the prices were above average to expensive.

Serve a 10 euro cocktail that is 75% filled with ice with a dash of alcohol. A snack where I think everything was thrown on in 3 seconds with things that could easily have been removed with a little more time. Twigs for example. Speed ​​is more important than quality here. And with these blatant prices (Kibbelinges with fries almost 30€!) the bar is incredibly high and then you get something... well... fries were really really bad... And we are in Holland, which is indirectly considered an insult here To give fries 😅 (In the photo you can get it in 5 minutes for 22€ including drinks and it's a thousand times better!)

Had a great meal with the four of us. Good service from waiter Jan Willem. Satay + fries were tasty. Food is on the pricey side. But hey, that's the case everywhere these days.

The gin in the ginger was hard to find. Lots of ice grit and very little gin! Vega bitterballen were good and tasty.

If you're after poor service, poor quality food and poor value for money, this is the place to come. Takes 20 minutes to have a waiter take your order and then another 20 minutes to receive (the drinks).

Knowing how bad the restaurants often are in CP, lunch here was a positive surprise. The quality was good, service ok, and the environment is of course ideal for the children. Coffee not very good unfortunately and all in all over-priced in our opinion.

We ordered two pizzas to take away. The price was quite high, but the pizzas (Pizza Shoarma and Pizza Salmone) were also very tasty.

We ate several small meals and drinks here during our 1 week stay at the park. Unfortunately, as is known from the other restaurants in the park, everything here has a hefty price tag. The staff was a bit overwhelmed at times but very nice.

Service is a bit on the slow side... everything else is fine.

We (with four children) ordered fries plus a bit of meat, everything came quickly and was nicely presented. However, we have never eaten such bad fries in our lives... the highlight was the total price - just under 60 (!!!) euros. (A bottle of water, 4 fries, a schnitzel, a chicken stick) Since you don't have any other alternative to eat well and sensibly in Center Park, you're really at a loss...

Delicious food (we were at Nannos before, which was miserable), nice service, nice ambience.

Please don't mind the bad reviews. It is a real family spot with good entertainment for the children. And very important: the food on the menu is of good quality and the staff is super friendly and understands good service.

Got pizza to go: Salami pizza at almost €20 is way too expensive and doesn't taste convincing

€8,50 for 6 onion rings/6 squid rings Burnt black, technically there are 6 rings...but who gets the tiny ones? Poor slow service. Had to ask for napkins which never arrived. Manager took the 'rings' off our bill, no compensation offered.

Ordered a hamburger with cheese. First I wait 30 minutes and then I get one without cheese and by the way not tasty. When I ask for this, the waiter (Jean) reacts like a noisy toddler who tries to make a joke out of everything. Jean also manages to make a 5-year-old child cry for an ice cream. Really bad service.

Price excessive. Food tasted good. But for a baguette with herb butter €6 and a thin pizza €17 to take away. Can't be serious. Next time I would rather cook and take food with me.

We were here for dinner. There is something for everyone, whether burgers, pizza or pasta. Unfortunately the staff was a bit slow for us even though there wasn't much going on. Unfortunately, the prices here are a bit exaggerated, so you'll think about stopping by here more often.

Preislich etwas höher angesiedelt aber qualitativ und vom Service her super. Bei dem Schnitzel für 22,-€ kommt man schon ein wenig ins Schmunzeln. Bestellungen über den QR-Code scheinen schneller bearbeitet zu werden als klassisch aufgegebe.

Curry zonder smaak, peper en zout moeten toevoegen. Schnitzel goed maar duur en de saus rekenen ze nog +3€ aan. Ice tea meer dan 4€. Veel geld kwijt maar niet speciaal.

Bestellen net allebei een ijsje..krijgen niet wat er op de kaart staat...ijsje wat je kiest wordt blijkbaar gecombineerd met een ander ijsje van de kaart bij mij ontbrak frambozenijs..kreeg mango ..zat geen hazelnoten aardbeisaus en slagrooom op/bij. Bij mijn man ontbrak rum rozijnenijs en hij kreeg frambozen en vanille..de beloofde Boerenjongens bestond uit maar liefst 3 rozijnen..jammer..ik hoef hier niet nog eens een ijsje.

Voor de prijs die je betaald mag je vele male beter verwachten. De fish en chips waren matig, de friet heeft over de pan gevlogen een was niet gaar, en de kibbeling zelf was zo zompig als je het kan maken. De flammkuchen was ook niet top, bodem was niet gaar en de schil zat nog om de uien heen. Eten stond gelukkig snel op tafel, maar het was op dit tijdstip ook niet erg druk. Kortom, erg zonde. Het zou zoveel beter kunnen.

Haben uns eine Pizza zum mitnehmen bestellt, schneller Service und wirklich leckere Pizza. Jedoch etwas überteuert mit 17€ pro Pizza. Tipp: In der App vom Park, kann man von jedem Restaurant die Speisekarten sowie auch die Preise einsehen.

High price for low level food...

Ober Jan Willem is een absolute topper, de sfeer die hij neerzette was echt helemaal waanzinnig. De drankjes kwamen snel en het plezier nog sneller. Dikke tip om HIER de Crazy bingo te ervaren. Nogmaals ; Jan Willem is een fijne vent & zijn service was ongekend.

25 Minuten habe ich da gesessen und darauf gewartet bedient zu werden. Nach mehrmaligen Handzeichen hat sich dann eine Kellnerin erbarmt. Es war nichts los, 3 Kellner vor Ort, waren die ganze Zeit am reden. Bei einem zweiten Besuch war es ähnlich. Bei den Preisen so einen Service anzubieten ist dreist. 9€ für einen Cocktail, der aus dem Tetrapak ist und zu 75% aus Eis besteht.

Eten was erg lekker, en de bediening was erg vriendelijk! Ik weet niet waar de negativiteit vandaan komt. Als ik het vergelijk met de kookkunsten van mijn vriendin, is het uiteraard heerlijk eten. Maar goed, zonder grap is er naast de QR code optie om eten te bestellen, ook erg vriendelijke en sociale bediening. CenterParcs staat bekend om de sfeer, maar eten van kwaliteit voor een concurrerende prijs vergeken met restaurants in de grote stad, is de kers op de taart.

Essen war in Ordnung, Personal wirkt etwas unkoordiniert. Ein Stern weniger da das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis nicht passt, man merkt dass zu viel mit convenience gearbeitet wird, was ich für die aufgerufenen Preise nicht In Ordnung finde.

Service rapide. Pas de repas pour nous. Nous nous reposions le temps d'un apéritif. Serveur agréable, carte des bières et soft correcte.Seul point négatif : Mentionner la quantité sinon il sert 50 cl d'office.

Patat was veel te kort gebakken. Bitterballen waren veredelde soepgroenten-ballen. Bavaria bier op de tap. Toch twee sterren vanwege het vriendelijke personeel.

Good price-quality ratio for a restaurant in a vacation park. Taste is above average, and the quantity is satisfying! Has a good collection of draft (special) beers, which any beer lover would find it lovely. Has a bar which opens late. Staff very friendly and serving was quick and smooth.

Wat een ongelooflijk onpersoonlijke bedoeling! Bestellen kan alleen via de QR-code app, tenzij je er echt op staat persoonlijk te bestellen... dan gaan ze iemand roepen. Totaal onnodig, personeel staat lekker te keuvelen met elkaar. Na bestelling via de app wordt er wel snel uitgeserveerd. De manager die 1 keer in het half uur langs loopt neemt wel keurig bestellingen aan, neemt lege glazen mee, maakt de tafels schoon en loopt de poten uit z’n lijf. Wat ongelofelijk vaag! Ohja de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding... nee ja laat ook maar! Tip van de dag: als je heerlijk wilt eten voor minder geld, zowel lunch als diner, rij in tien minuten naar de Stadsherberg in Gennep! Dag 2: Wereld van verschil! Bediening zoals het hoort, alles naar wens! Is blijkbaar maar net welke ploeg er aan het werk is. Dag3: Opnieuw niks te klagen over de bediening. Blijkbaar ligt het er maar net aan wie je treft. Beoordeling aangepast van 1 ster naar 3. Prijs/kwaliteit blijft belachelijk.

Gezellig en vriendelijke mensen.

Normaal is dit bij Center Parcs een prima plek om even lekker te lunchen, maar het Grand Café op Heijderbos is geen reclame voor Center Parcs. Het duurt lang voordat er iemand een bestelling komt opnemen, ondanks dat het niet heel druk was. Het viel op dat dat bij meerdere tafels het geval was. Het eten en drinken kwam wel redelijk vlot. De kwaliteit van het eten was op zich prima. Wij hebben een club sandwich besteld (lekker, maar best veel; bijna anderhalf portie) en een kipsaté. Volgens het menu kon je kiezen uit een kleine of een normale portie. Wij kozen voor een kleine portie, maar toen er op de bon een normale bleek te staan, kwam de bediende met de verklaring 'ik kan een gewone of een XL aanslaan'. Oftewel niet zeuren, wees blij dat ik niet de extra dure variant (die helemaal niet op het menu staat) heb aangeslagen.

Gezellig druk, perso eels te kort

Preise wirklich sehr teuer. Zum Beispiel kosten Kibbeling und Pommes 18€. Das grenzt für diese Qualität schon an einer Unverschämtheit. Man darf aber natürlich nicht vergessen, dass man im Center Park ist. Die Kinder haben Animation und daher „muss“ man mit den hohen Preisen leben, denke ich.

Service très lent et des serveurs pas souriant

Gewoon een café zoals ieder park er wel een heeft, maar hier wel met uitermate langzaam personeel.

09.2018: In diesem Café bekommt man guten Kaffee und Eis. Die angebotenen Snacks sind leider deutlich überteuert! Die gebotenen shows für Kinder und Erwachsene haben uns gut gefallen! Das Personal war jederzeit freundlich und hilfsbereit! Update 08.2019 : Heute waren wir erneut im Grand Café. Das Essen war erneut lecker, aber teuer und das Personal war stets hilfsbereit.
