A cozy spot for a beer. The crowd is 30+, and the atmosphere is great. Lovely terrace in the summer. They serve a wide variety of beers, including draft beers. You can also enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner here. There's a small room on the first floor that you can reserve.

We didn't eat anything, but heating terrace on -2 was amazing .

The staff were very friendly and helpful in making our choices. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are warm and comfortable.

Service was far below par. Drink orders were forgotten or delivered late, and dishes weren't served at the same time.

Had to wait half an hour to order food. Then it took even longer. I asked for mayonnaise, and they gave me mayonnaise when I'd almost finished the food...

Last weekend, I went to dinner with a friend using a restaurant voucher. We received a friendly welcome upon arrival. We were seated upstairs, which looked old and the chairs were broken. The service took a long time, and they spoke mostly English. Once the food arrived, it was lukewarm. The chicken satay was undercooked and had a hair in it. I mentioned this to the staff, but they did give me a new, hot portion. Afterward, my friend ordered a cappuccino, which took 20 minutes to arrive. I wouldn't recommend it.

This place is great for drinks and some snacks, but stay away for the dinner. Overcooked pasta, almost raw fries and overall very mediocre overpriced food.

I went to lunch with some friends. We ordered three drinks. It took 25 minutes before they even noticed us and came to take our drinks. We waited 15 minutes for three soft drinks. We ordered bittergarnituur (a type of snack), nachos, and bread with aioli. When the food finally arrived, it was very disappointing. They claimed the bread came with aioli, but it was a kind of green substance that tasted like lemon dish soap. The nachos didn't come with guacamole; they had about a kilo of diced tomatoes on them. The nachos were incredibly soggy and just crumbs. The bittergarnituur was fine, but we missed the bitterballen (a type of meatball). The staff politely resolved the issue by removing the nachos from the bill. But I definitely don't recommend this!

Definitely not going back. We went for dinner with three people. It took a very long time, three hours for three courses. The carpaccio was delicious. The Central Burger was a meager cheeseburger missing several ingredients, including pulled pork. The dessert was fine but also took a long time. At the checkout, the desserts were listed separately on the receipt, even though they were part of the three-course menu. We pointed this out, plus the fact that the burger wasn't as described and the food took a long time. We had to settle for "apologies, we'll pass it on." Not going back.

Grossly overpriced for a simple cafe. €170 for 4 people with appetizers, main courses, and 2 drinks each. We had to wait an incredibly long time before anyone even saw us or even took a drink order. We had to wait half an hour for our appetizer; the carpaccio was like rubber. Then we had to wait another half hour for our main courses. The staff apparently prioritizes chatting with each other over serving their guests. The restrooms were also extremely dirty. The music was far too loud.

We ordered bittergarnituur (a Dutch snack) for 14 people, 3 snacks per person. The menu listed 24 snacks as €19.50, but we got a deal... Sure enough, €3.50 per person for 3 snacks. The math was pretty tough!

A great overall result, very friendly service, and a unique atmosphere. A "place to be." We'd be happy to return!

It was a cozy restaurant, friendly staff, and delicious food. The knife was dull, though; I could barely saw through the sandwich.

It's not convenient when you get your coffee first, and then your apple pie when it's finished. After asking twice, it finally arrives. The answer is that it's busy inside. And then, cleverly, we ask if we'd like another drink 😱. What do you think? The coffee and pastry were quite expensive. And yes, I know, I shouldn't complain, that's just how it is in the Netherlands.

On Saturday afternoon, we decided to have lunch at Centraal. After ordering, the drinks arrived quite quickly. The food, however, took a very long time. My tea was long gone, and no one came to ask if I wanted another drink or to check how long it would take. Forty-five minutes later, we received our simple "12-uurtje" (meal). It was truly shameful. A tiny glass of soup, three thick slices of dark brown bread, and! a tiny mini S fried egg. The menu listed the "12-uurtje" with cheese, and I wanted ham, so I ordered it. All I got was ham, one small square slice like you'd normally put on a toasted sandwich, and a croquette. Everything was completely cold. After eating with a heavy heart, we weren't even asked if we enjoyed it, not even when we paid. Of, yes, almost 45 euros for this bleak affair. Shame on you! You'd expect more from a café in the middle of the market square!

It's nice if you eat with 3 people and the 1 person gets their food 25 minutes later.

We come here several times a year with a group of friends. Lunch is excellent. The service is friendly and attentive.

This visit was a huge disappointment. The service was friendly and the beer was good, but the vegan mushroom pasta was downright awful. The only positive was that it was a well-filled plate, but there were very few mushrooms: they were a kind of oyster mushroom, which were rather tough, and one stray slice of button mushroom. The menu said it contained spinach; even then, you had to search for a few stray leaves. On top was a fair amount of arugula: nice and easy, you just toss it on top. To hide the rest of the contents? There were also a few shavings of Parmesan cheese on top, which was manageable. But it wasn't very tasty; it seemed like the cheese wasn't fresh. The sauce that went with it was sufficient, but certainly not flavorful. The pasta itself was white, thick, and didn't have a pleasant mouthfeel: more like a plate of thick vermicelli. The whole thing was rather bland; you shouldn't want to fix the tastelessness by sprinkling salt on it, but there wasn't any salt or pepper on the table either. I could have asked for it, but I didn't feel like it since I'd already sent the plate back to be reheated. It was lukewarm, almost cold, when I got it. They did reheat it, which took quite a while, and no one even bothered to mention the process, or that it would take a while. In short: you can have a beer here, but I wouldn't recommend it for food.

Great place in city center. Drinks are good and cocktails are delicious. Friendly personnel, but couple times they just missed our hand waves to order. We had some snacks which are less vegan friendly. More vegan options would be great.

Sat on the terrace here. It's a nice location with a few tables outside in the middle of the square. I didn't find the service at all friendly or welcoming. I had to call someone over for practically everything because they didn't really come over spontaneously. And when they did, they were completely disinterested. It's a shame, because it was a nice location. I also ordered some bittergarnituur (a type of Dutch snack), but it was pretty standard, like you get from a wholesaler, so nothing special.

We had a drink on the terrace. There was a wide selection of drinks. And the service was excellent despite the extremely hot weather.

The schnitzel comes out of the deep fryer. Boring plate. Pepper sauce isn't good.

Good place to have drinks, i like their beer selection, also ginger beer and passion fruit mocktail, 2nd floor view is beautiful. Service is good. I went there 3-4 time for different events. Good place in the center, recommended!

Edit: looks like free tap water is back on the menu boys! Updating to 5 stars! Really great food and they host Pubquiz every week. Giving a lower rating as they used to be open to serving free tap water but now they suddenly refused to do that.

Sat on the terrace with a healthy sandwich (pistolet) and a waldcorn salmon sandwich for my friend. The sandwiches are generously filled and the size of the pistolet surprised me, this was a large pistolet, but delicious. There was raw red onion on it, which was not announced on the menu, I just chose a healthy sandwich because they normally do not have raw onion. I slid the onion off, that was fine. The service people are friendly and do their best. My friend also liked the salmon sandwich so we enjoyed it.

On Monday 9 June we sat on the terrace, but unfortunately this was not a pleasant experience. The service did not pay attention to us at all; we had to wait a long time before we even got any attention. When we finally ordered our nachos (without onion, peppers and sauce), we did get a bowl that did contain onion, peppers and sauce after a long wait. After having indicated this to the service, we were promised that we would get a new bowl within 10 minutes. However, ten minutes later we were told that the peppers had already been mixed with the minced meat, and that we had to choose between no minced meat or another topping. We agreed to pulled pork, stated our preferences again, and then the waiting began again… It was not until more than half an hour later that we got the new nachos. Unfortunately, there were still pieces of onion in them, and the sauce had not been served separately as requested. The peppers were gone this time, but because the sauce had been poured over the nachos, the chips had become completely limp and soggy – which did not taste good. And at the end we had to pay an extra 5 euros without getting a receipt. All in all we sat there for over an hour and a half, hungry and frustrated. Too bad, because we were looking forward to a pleasant afternoon. This experience was far from pleasant, and we won't be back anytime soon.

I have eaten here several times and have experienced it as good. Unfortunately, there was something wrong with my sandwich (I won't go into detail). I explained this to the waitress. They handled it very well and professionally. They solved it immediately by offering a new dish that would not be on the bill. As the dish that was wrong with it. I am very happy because they solved it well and neatly! I would like to come back here again.

A good selection of Belgian beer and one of the most tasty Nacho chip snack plates I have had. The staff is welcoming, efficient and pleasant. A nice place to sit outside in the afternoon/evening sun.

It’s a shame I started my experience thirsty,as the snacks came before the drinks. The nachos were dry, it wasn’t a yellow creamy cheese and the red tomatoes tasted like canned tomatoes there was no meat involved and the cream was bland no chives etc. Calamari was was quite rubbery and fried shrimps where average.The ambiance was cold as they have no heat lanterns for alfresco eaters.

A great spot to people watch or just grab some drinks with friends. I loved all of the old school Phillips signs inside, nice staff too..

Area is great, coming for drinks is great but the food is poor. Always comes out cold and bland. Go somewhere else for food. Its also expensive for what you get

Great terrace, quick, friendly service. Tables are close together and crowded when the weather is nice, but let's be honest, where isn't when the weather is nice!?

Not bad, but! There were a lot of bones in the fish, although it seems to me that they could have been removed! All the other food was good! But the interior is really very old! Still below mediocre. Service in English, which is just a shame in the Netherlands. The food was lousy, dry and tasteless teriyaki chicken on a bun. It really had nothing to do with teriyaki. A snack with so much fat that you don't have to worry about being constipated for the next few days. Not to mention the mediocre garnish, because it was also cheap. And then the question "was everything to your satisfaction". The answer received a "perfect", but personally I would still ask what was wrong if you indicate that it is just okay. Two brown sandwiches with sausage spread at home would have been tastier.

Only went for a drink to break up the shopping. Ordered a portion of tasty veal bitterballs. When it was delivered, the waitress indicated that one had fallen off along the way. We then received four more with an extra bowl of mustard. Still very neat.

we would get a romantic table... We got a small table and there was a lot of noise in the place. For me, the seasonal vegetables consisted of 8 green beans and 1 bright hard Brussels sprout with lettuce. for my table companion 1 green bean and 3 hard Brussels sprouts with some lettuce. and only 1 mayonnaise stick for 2 people. the staff was friendly. but we will never come back here again.

Been here number of times. Lots of choice of specialty beers. Also lots of choice of other drinks. An extensive menu of food is also available. Prices are quite high. The staff is all friendly and there is plenty of room to sit both inside and outside.

A restaurant with a nice atmosphere, also in the lively old town. Unfortunately, the chicken as the main dish today was a bit hard. Although the waiter was very kind, it was a pity that the food was not served very quickly😅

Too bad the kitchen closes so early. Waiters outside are really grumpy, it seems like they don't enjoy their work at all. Then look for another job!

Coming here for years is always surprising, Brabant conviviality.

We go every Thursday night to participate in the International Pubquiz. The food is good and the place is cozy, but removing two stars because: - Service can be quite slow. - From a couple of weeks back, they refuse to provide tap water!!! It’s crazy, because they had always given it. What a pity! If they fix this, I will happily give them their star back. No one should ever be denied tap water, especially if you are having food and multiple other drinks.

Were not allowed to sit down because the terrace was closed and no more people were allowed in. Then 3 girls walk onto the terrace, take a seat and order drinks. We walk back and indicate that they can also sit, after which the gentleman with brown hair and a short beard says that it is really not possible and also sends the girls away. The girls can then remain seated. What a bad thing, yuck.

The food here is very good, there is nothing to say about that. The atmosphere is a bit "living room", nice but unfortunately it doesn't do enough justice to the food. Service is a bit less. We wanted to order a drink with our food, but it took a lot of effort to have someone come and take the order. That is not only annoying, but also a shame for them, as they are missing out on some beverage sales. All in all a very nice place to eat, but there are certainly areas that need improvement. Apart from that, definitely worth it and will probably come back again.
