Grand Café De Burgemeester in Stadscentrum

It has the atmosphere of an old-fashioned pub, partly due to the people who are there (I think they're regulars). My tip: never change this. The restaurant area was quiet, and I don't understand why. The food is excellent. The meatballs with bacon, mmm, the bruschetta, mmm, the brisket butter-soft, the spare ribs perfectly seasoned, and plenty of side dishes. The two of us shared everything and couldn't finish it. We even shared the dessert at the end because I was FULL. A solid 9.5.

A recent renovation is a real plus. Cozy seating with new furniture. Many regulars, friendly and competent service. A wide selection of draft and bottled beers, wine, and spirits.

Delicious food. Perfect location for a meal before a performance at De Kom Theater.

Delicious food and good service

We had a wonderful meal outside on the terrace. The menu isn't extensive, but they know how to give basic dishes like satay and tournedos a unique twist. We'll definitely be back.

Despite the very friendly and good service and the delicious food, we found the atmosphere to be terribly dark. A bit more lighting and/or a brighter decor would do the place some good. I don't think the extractor hood works perfectly either, because upon entering, you smell a greasy snack bar odor.

Great, my tournedos wasn't as red as I'd like. This was resolved immediately, and I received a super tasty new one. Excellent service.

What a great meal we had, next to the theatre which is really a great place. The service and people who work there are really great. So hospitable.

Had a fantastic evening with a group of colleagues/former colleagues. Very tasty meal. The Brisket on the menu is smoked and prepared in-house and is definitely recommended. The garlic shrimp are also very tasty. And all that for a good price.

We had dinner here because we were going to a show in the theater next door. What a discovery. Delicious food (that sauce, omg what a party) and delicious drinks. There were three of us and we all ate something different from the menu, three times fantastic. The atmosphere is also nice, people know each other and we received tips from the regular guests about what we should really try from the menu. We felt completely welcome.

We had a bite to eat here before a performance in De Kom theater, which is right next door, so ideal. Delicious food, super friendly service and what I always like: clean sanitary facilities. Homely, intimate atmosphere

Was erg druk met marktkooplieden. Erg lekker de cappuccino en de latte macchiato.

Een geweldig cafetje! Heerlijk wat gedronken en gegeten. Ontzettend lieve en sympathieke mensen.

Goede vriendelijke bediening op terras

Na de lockdown eindelijk een wit biertje pakken om de lockdown opening te vieren met een blauwe lucht en 22 graden op dit terras. Hopende op een mooie zomer voor de gasten en vooral de horeca.

Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel en ruime keuze wat betreft drankjes maar de muziek staat erg hard, en als je niet goed tegen rook kan is het ook niet ideaal. Er is een aparte ruimte voor rokers maar zodra iemand in of uit de ruimte komt krijg je meteen een walm van sigaretten lucht mee.

En ok bar in Nieuwegein, wel een hele vriendelijke barvrouw!

Afscheidsreceptie gehad van een collega, ze schenken lekker door, vlotte bediening. Waren goede borrelhapjes, de kaas en worst en dergelijke van goede kwaliteit, de warme snacks helaas middelmatig van smaak.

Uitstekende bediening. Goed getapt biertje door Willem en heerlijke bitterballen.

Gezellige sfeer. Je kunt er ook buiten zitten. Én we hebben erg lekker gegeten.

Super leuk café. Met lekkere bieren en heerlijke hapjes. Je wordt er erg gastvrij ontvangen en super aardige bediening. Kortom een leuke spot ontdekt in onze stad.

Gezellig zitten kletsen en borrelen.

Het is een buurt cafe erg gezellig mooie ingericht het ziet er van buiten alleen net te donker uit om zo maar naar binnen te gaan. Tevens zijn de stoelen aan vervangingen toe. Maar voor een avondje drinken kun je er prima terecht leuke prijzen je wordt aan tafel geholpen ook na 10 uur dat vindt ik echt super. 😊 ik kom zeker nog een keer terug

Zo druk op 5 mei in het centrum van Nieuwegein en dan niet actief zijn in de verkoop van wat lekkers bij de koffie, geen kaart op tafel. Gemiste kans op deze mooie dag.
