Grand Café The Butler in Zuid woongebied

I've been to Grand Café The Butler several times for both lunch and dinner, and it's always fantastic! Delicious food, friendly and fast service, and a super cozy atmosphere. Also highly recommended for parties and celebrations!

Still the best Eetcafe in EL. The three-course menu is more than excellent. Excellent value for money (the spareribs are highly recommended). They have an extensive beer selection. Always a pleasant atmosphere, and a lovely outdoor terrace. The service is also excellent, though it can be a bit spotty at times, but nothing major. Also try the pub quiz once a month on Wednesdays.

One of the best restaurants in Etten-Leur cannot fault anything.

My party celebrated in the james with a high wines high beer arrangement. Everything has been thought of, delicious food and super service. Top staff. In addition, we also regularly sit on the terrace to enjoy a delicious cocktail ❤️

Had a nice coke zero and coffee. I thought the homemade apple pie was cheap (2 euros for a piece), but it lacked some flavor.

We had a high tea here, for a baby shower. The staff was very friendly, we were also allowed to decorate the room. The food was very tasty and for a nice price.

Lekkere, bijzondere High Tea gehad op 1e paasdag. Normaliter krijg je mini sandwiches maar bij deze kregen we een heerlijke goed gevulde wraps met zalm, goed gevuld afgebakken broodje met kip kerrie salade en aangevuld met scrabble eggs en champignons aan spies. De zoetige lekkernijen was iets teveel chocolade. Had wel minder gemogen.

The best pub in Etten-Leur! Especially fun on the last Thursday of the month with a special beer evening.

Nice cozy gran cafe in the center of Etten Leur

Eating ordinary but the sound is really not possible, you can hear really well, but talking to your table companions is hardly possible. A lot of noise.

Enjoyed a high tea this afternoon...dishes were delicious and the tea was unlimited...the tea pot was not even empty and it already came with a new one...smooth service and very friendly staff...can enjoy it for more than two hours...I now understand why the cafe is chock full... Both outside and inside... service was fast and flawless... chapeau!!

Beers were on the table very quickly even though it was quite busy! Atmosphere is very good here. It is nicely decorated.

Tried to have a bite to eat here last night, the service was quick and friendly. We had the spare ribs and the stew. These were quickly on the table. The spareribs were tough and poorly seasoned. The stew was still hard. I approached the waiter and he took the stew to the kitchen. After about 5 minutes a new stew arrived which was slightly softer but still nowhere near how softly cooked stew should be. It was bland in taste and can best be described as a pile of poorly seasoned meat in a thin sauce. I again approached the service, who discussed this again. A gentleman/young man then came to the table and explained that this was how stew meat should be and that if it falls completely apart, it was threads of meat. Fortunately, we really know the difference between stew and pulled pork and this was just not at all what it should be... the biggest shock came when the bill came and they had simply left the stew on the receipt. I didn't make any further comments about it, but unfortunately we won't be coming back here again

Always nice here, great service and very nice seating, we had lunch here again on Sunday 20-10, had steak here, which was reasonable, 4 pieces of mushrooms were floating in the liquid, bread came out of the freezer, stone cold, too bad we won't be coming here for lunch anymore, from five stars to 3 stars.

Delicious menu, but the mustard is often forgotten at the 12 o'clock meal. Steak with bread and Club Sandwich are definitely recommended! Always pleasantly busy during the weekend.

Top restaurant, lots of choice on the menu, food is of very good quality, staff Always friendly, helpful, neat, nice and social!!! Lots of choice of different drinks, beers, wines and other alcoholic drinks. You never have to wait very long for your food, they ask when you have finished a course whether the next course can already be prepared and can come, which is very nice. There is always fun, nice music, nice decoration and interior of the business!!! Definitely recommended for a meal, the cinema menu is also highly recommended!!!

We just thought we would have something to eat with the four of us at a nice place in a good location with a good menu. Unfortunately it wasn't really great. The service paid more attention to the people on the terrace and no one felt responsible for our table inside. The result was a lot of raising your hand if someone happened to walk by and waiting a long time for a drink or food. The food itself wasn't really great either. Medium is not really medium but rather red, for example. Souvlaki skewer is small and excessively seasoned. Schnitsel tastes like a supermarket bought and fried piece of meat. Shame. Because this tent looks really nice and has a nice map, but it cannot live up to the appearance of the place. Spare ribs are very tasty and the carpaccio is also highly recommended.

We come here very regularly. Very nice cafe and the service is sublime.

Ate here for the first time two weeks ago. There is a big difference in waiting staff. One is friendly and knows how to do things. The other person, bent over the entire table, hands over a large plate, without saying or asking anything?! Quite indecent. The atmosphere was a bit too much. There were a few tables where the guests did their best to produce as many decibels as possible. To such an extent that we also had to shout at each other, otherwise we could not be heard. Shrimp in garlic oil as starter and a carpaccio were both ok. A main course was Thai curry with shrimp. 7 real shrimps with sticky rice but where the curry went......🤔. 2nd main was a steak, a bit small and chef forgot that some salt and pepper is allowed😬. 3rd head was a fish pan with emphasis on tje😂. Unfortunately the creme brulee was completely cold, had no taste, was not tasty. Dessert of chatterbox tompouce with ice cream and strawberries was a small bright spot. All in all, not a second time for us.

Not for the first time we were at this business for a nice team drink. After a nice spot on the terrace had been arranged for us, we had to constantly go after it ourselves to get something ordered. It was busy, but they had a lot of staff. After 2 hours we wanted to eat an ice cream and I had started paying, the last colleagues were stopped... we had not paid yet! 5 staff on the terrace, other customers who stood up to watch, very angry looks from staff and people on the terrace... until I showed my receipt for payment... what a shame to handle this like this. to take. The very last time for us!!!! Alertness is fine, but this approach was absurd!

Please note: the photos in this review were taken at different times. Grand Café The Butler is a place you always visit in Etten-Leur when you want a nice meal or drink. The atmosphere is always good. Comparable to a brown café but larger. Truly a 'grand' café. The service, with a reasonable number of regular faces, is always very friendly and attentive. Never had any bad experiences. The terrace is spacious, but please note, you cannot make a reservation here, so be on time if the weather is good. The food is always good, with good portions and excellent quality dishes. If you want to have a nice drink on a Friday evening, The Butler is definitely the place to be. A wide choice of delicious (special) beers, wines, mixed drinks and cocktails. Fortunately, they are not (too) stingy with the ratio of drinks to soft drinks. After all, this is something that is often saved on.

When we have lunch in Etten-Leur, we prefer to do it at The Butler. Actually, everything on the menu tastes good, but our favorite is definitely the club sandwich. It is also a pleasant location. I would say; definitely go for lunch/dinner/drinks.

Na het diner (niet bijzonder, voor een café oké) zaten we nog gezellig na te praten. Tot om 21:00 ineens de muziek op standje 10 werd gezet. De bezoekers aan meerdere tafels keken verbaasd op. Wij hebben direct het pand verlaten, omdat we elkaar niet meer konden verstaan. Waarom denken cafés toch altijd dat wanneer de gasten het prima naar de zin hebben de muziek ineens een standje harder moet?

Gordon Ramsey zou zijn haren uit zijn hoofd trekken. Het eten is echt heel slecht. Smakeloos en weeïg diepvriesspul. Fantasieloos en geen liefde voor het eten.

Heerlijk gegeten in een aangename ambiance. Lekker druk en gezellig. We zaten binnen en dat was een beetje warm op een gegeven moment. Maar dat mocht de pret niet drukken.
