Had another delicious meal yesterday. The 3-course menu is highly recommended. Free choice from the entire menu. Friendly staff

:( The mixed grill was dry and tough. The gyros was veeeery salty. It is my wife's birthday, so choosing this restaurant is really completely wrong... As compensation, we got the drinks for free.

For our son's birthday, we wanted to have Greek food, not just around the corner, but halfway to a beloved family member's; we ended up in Gouda, where the beautiful surroundings immediately put us in a good mood. The wait staff welcomed us. The Greek organizer spoke with my wife (in Greek), and it was left to him to overload the table with various Greek specialties. It took a while, but preparing good food takes time. And then, the Greek food turned out to be delicious. You don't have to go all the way to Greece for that... you can find it right here in Gouda too.

We’ve enjoyed Rhodos on several occasions. Each time the food and service has been excellent. Compared to many other places in Gouda we’ve felt that the experience here is very good value for the money. The staff here are happy and work hard to ensure that you have a very nice dining experience. The staff are all great but our particular favorite is Eva and her enthusiastic personality. We will definitely be regular customers.

A nightmare! Rotten food, terrible service, and rude owners I went out to dinner with my husband yesterday hoping for a pleasant evening, but it turned out to be the worst dining experience of our lives. I felt nauseous when I left. To start with, the service was already a harbinger of disaster: not a trace of the free garlic bread; instead, we were given soft, soggy, and barely toasted bread. But that was nothing compared to the main courses, which took ages to arrive and were completely cold. I ordered a fish dish that was simply inedible: No taste or salt: Nothing tasted like fish; everything was bland, poorly cooked, and not crispy at all. Disgusting texture: The squid rings were like rubber bands. The shrimp had no taste whatsoever, and the texture was like eating paper. Rotten fish: The fish looked old; it was so mushy that you couldn't even cut it because it fell apart like custard. The worst part was when I tried to cut it: a horrible white liquid leaked out, like milk or cream. Truly disgusting. I tried to eat it out of politeness, but after a few bites I became so nauseous that I had to vomit and my stomach swelled up like a balloon. When I complained to the waitress about how terrible everything was, she offered to make it again, which I refused because I was already feeling awful. The most scandalous thing was that the waitress told the restaurant owner, and this man, who showed a total lack of manners and respect for the customer, didn't even come to our table to apologize. To make matters worse, my husband's mixed meat platter was also an insult: some pieces were completely burnt, with black bits, and others were in such poor condition and rancid that he had to spit them out. I walked around almost the entire night with terrible indigestion, stomach pain, and bloating. We were supposed to enjoy a nice dinner, but I left feeling sick and deeply disappointed. For all these reasons, I am not giving it a single star.

Ordered food, stated a delivery time of 35-55 minutes. It ended up taking well over an hour and a half. Unreachable by phone. The food was hot and tasted good. The fries were lukewarm and soggy. The salad was packed with the hot food, so it was also lukewarm. Some oil had leaked heavily into the bag, so it was very dirty and leaking at the bottom.

I have rarely eaten so badly in a restaurant. Reheated stale bake-off rolls, dry and overcooked meat, greasy fries that taste like fish, a sort of salad that looks like it was consumed and then thrown up, and finally, horribly filthy coffee. Moreover, the prices are far too high for this ‘bad snack bar’ quality.

Good food and nice staff. Unfortunately, there was a very boisterous group present. After checking, it turned out the bill was incorrect, but that was resolved properly. We will definitely go back again.

Ordered food recently; it arrived in a dirty container soaked with contents from another order. After calling and emailing several times, finally got a refund, which was fine. Tried to order again and had to wait 2 hours to receive anything; what a nightmare. Not for us.

When you order food here and have to wait at least 1.5 hours, the excuse lies with Thuisbezorgd. It is especially unfortunate that the blame is shifted and nothing is done about it.

It was tasty. Unfortunately, the side dishes were very small (rice and fries).

Yesterday at 5:00 PM, we ordered food here. According to thuisbezorgd.nl, it was supposed to be delivered within 30-55 minutes. It took 105 minutes! In the meantime, we tried calling; someone answered on the 5th attempt. We received incorrect information about the delivery time; it was supposed to take a maximum of an hour and already be on its way. The 6:45 PM indication we received via thuisbezorgd was something that thuisbezorgd did automatically. It was really on its way... well, apparently not. If she had been honest on the phone, we could have cancelled. When we called again at 6:30, we did receive reasonably accurate information about the delivery time, but no solution for the fact that it would arrive much too late. Moreover, the food was largely cold when it arrived. Dry and black meat, cold fries. We paid 70 euros, and unfortunately, it was absolutely not worth it.

Food was terrible , arrived late and that was the least of problems. Weird tasting meat ,random fries in my greek pita, uneaven chunks of meat and overall low quality. I do not reccomend at all

We dined with Socialdeal for two people. It started with the ouzo, which was heavily diluted and tasteless. It was noticeable that the people who bought it through Socialdeal received glasses with cloudy liquid, while the other guests received clear liquid. We didn't see garlic bread, although it was included in the deal. The mixed grill also includes steak, which we didn't see on our plate. The other meats tasted sour, and the gyros was fatty and soggy. When we got back to the hotel, my wife threw everything out. I called Rhodos about it, but according to the woman, it absolutely couldn't be due to their food. We won't be returning.

We've been ordering from here for ages, always good, but unfortunately not. Cold fries, lukewarm or almost cold chicken fillet dish, and Dolmades tasted awful, right in the trash. €51. Calls are not answered, the recording says unreachable. Hello Rhodes, what's wrong with you!? Please respond, or rather, lose a customer. As everyone can read above, something didn't go well, and the response from Rhodes below was to call, which I did, and today, March 7th, we received good, tasty, and especially hot food, as we've come to expect. Glad this has been resolved, thank you... until next time.

We had a great meal at this authentic Greek restaurant. Fast service. They even offered free water without asking. The men's restroom wasn't clean. The hand dryer didn't work either. But otherwise, the food was good. It was also quite busy!

Yesterday we thought we'd have a nice, cozy meal at Rhodos. We eat here quite often. We were booked ahead of time with two small children so we could eat on time. We had to wait almost an hour and a half for our starter (it turned out they'd forgotten us), then another hour for our main course. We were fed up with it. Waiting at 9:45 for our main course with two small children isn't fun anymore. We decided to skip the ice cream, but it would be too late for the kids. No apology, and the owner even let the kids sort it out. I'm incredibly disappointed. We've been coming here for so long, which I think is a shame.

Large portions and lots of choices, but the starters were definitely disappointing. The service was friendly, but there were a lot of order confusions, and it took a very long time.

The food was excellent, both in taste and quantity. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Sometimes it takes a little longer to get your order, but given the crowds, that wasn't a problem for us. One drawback: it's quite noisy. Otherwise, it was excellent; I would definitely return.

The "all you can eat" concept is a good one, but not at this restaurant. The food was minimal, and the wait was indeed long, but this was because they grilled the meat immediately. You don't get the more expensive meats like steak, even though they do have it. Orders are taken incorrectly, but otherwise, they're quite nice.

I placed an order for delivery last night at 18:33 and they tried to deliver after 21:30. After more than a 3 hour waiting period we already ate. I tried phoning multiple times to ask for an update or cancel, but all calls were not answered or dropped. No apology. Either get more resources or don't except orders you can't deliver in a decent time.

It took ages for our order to be taken. The plates and bowls were broken and sharp. We did get a lot of meat, though. The children's corner was extremely dangerous with power strips and bulky cables.

We reserved for Christmas day and was surprised a bit to some of the reviews. Service was Okay. Staff is friendly but forgot about us a few times. The food itself was good however the gyros a bit salty. Inside the have a little play corner, but having electric wires stashed in there makes it a bit challenging to leave your child there unattended. Parking was a bit difficult if you do not know your way around town. All in all it was a good visit.

We ate here on Christmas Day through a social deal. We had a 3-course a la carte meal. We had to wait quite a while for service, which was understandable due to the crowds. It was also very noisy. Despite this, the staff was very friendly and provided information about the drinks. The main course wasn't what some of us expected and tasted rather poor. This was immediately remedied with something else. We were able to replace dessert with an Irish coffee or something similar. Although the food wasn't quite as good, it was a pleasant evening. The starter took quite a while.

Hopeless... I ordered 4 meals for home delivery. After being 15 minutes late, we called the restaurant. They said it would be there within a few minutes, which was great. After half an hour, I called again. Oh, sorry, the order never came through... It's nice when someone just speaks on the phone without looking. Just leave the order alone... It was the first and last time.

I was here once with my foster family, and it was very pleasant. I think it's a nice restaurant. It has a lovely interior and a great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and not expensive at all. If you're looking for a nice Greek restaurant, I definitely recommend this one!

We ordered four mixed grills at the agreed-upon time of 6:00 PM. We called twice, and it wasn't delivered until 6:30 PM. The food was lukewarm, the meat was dry, and the salad that came with it was far from fresh. It's not like buying bread at the local supermarket. The total cost was around €100. This was definitely the last time for us...

I had to wait over an hour for my first course. No more Rhodes for me.

Didn't eat at the restaurant, but ordered. The Rhodos gyros isn't what it used to be: large chunks of gyros without the crispy grilled edges that make them so delicious. Now, it's very fatty and hard. The Hermes dish was okay, but not up to par, which is a real shame. It might have been the last time. The 1+1 deal wouldn't be necessary with the "old" concept.

This restaurant is located on a side street off the market square. We made a reservation through our social deal. A three-course meal for €18.50, with a beer and wine included, was excellent. The menu offers a choice of fish or meat dishes. Friendly service. You do need to have time, though. The restaurant is due for a facelift. Good value for money.

This was the worst dining experience I’ve had in over four years of living in the Netherlands. One older waitress behaved in a very rude and discriminatory way toward us as Asian customers. During our meal, she repeatedly insisted that we had to order a drink with our Social Deal offer. We calmly showed her that the deal’s conditions did not mention any such requirement — neither in English nor in Dutch. However, she kept insisting, saying things like, “This is the Netherlands, you have to order a drink!” She even told us to check a “Chinese version” of the app, which doesn’t exist. I’ve always had great experiences with Dutch people and restaurants, but this was a shocking exception. The behavior was unacceptable and felt racist. I strongly advise avoiding this restaurant until they address their staff’s attitude and ensure all guests are treated with respect.

All the meat was very dry. It took a long time for the order to arrive. It took 25 minutes for the second order to arrive. They didn't ask if you wanted another drink. Not recommended. First time here and the last time too.

I ordered through Thuiszorgd but never received my order. I called the restaurant hundreds of times but no one answered, incredibly unsociable. The food didn't arrive until 2.5 hours later.

We came for dinner on a Monday; it was a bit quiet, but that didn't detract from the quality of the food and service. The waitress was very polite and friendly. The owner was nice. And, most importantly, the food was super fresh. For dessert, we had fresh fruit with ice cream and whipped cream. Real fresh fruit, not canned. All in all, a fantastic experience and definitely worth repeating!

If you visit this restaurant through the Social Deal website, it's important to know that it's completely different from other all-you-can-eat restaurants. It feels like you're being disrespected, especially after the first round. After that, you're completely disrespected. There's no steak available, even though it's shown on the Social Deal website. It's completely unfair. The salad isn't refilled, and you don't get any sauce at all. With every dish you order, the waiter says, "I need to check." This has absolutely nothing to do with an all-you-can-eat concept, and it just makes you feel uncomfortable. NEVER BACK!

The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't exceptional either. A new waitress was on duty, so the service was a bit stiff. The waitress couldn't fault it. The decor was typical Greek restaurant, but from the 80s. A bit lacking in atmosphere. A big plus is that they're open on Mondays, which isn't common in Gouda.

I made an online order at 5 pm, it is 18.40 pm and still no order. I called multiple times , no answer. Thuisbezorgd also doesn't help. Very bad.

I don't know what happened here. I haven't been here for three years. The food was great here, with exceptionally generous portions for a reasonable price. Went again yesterday. The lighting is uninviting, and the benches are gone, making it look less inviting. The portions are only a third of what they used to be.
