Happy Frites Broekhem in Wijk 00: Valkenburg

We always eat here when we are in Valkenburg, great!

After a minor service incident a few weeks ago, where I thought I'd never come back, I went back yesterday to get some fries. They tasted great, and I was helped quickly for a fair price.

Best chip shop in Valkenburg with great, tasty and large hamburgers.

It's wonderful that when we don't feel like cooking on Tuesday, we just go and get some fries with sauerkraut. You can taste how fresh and homemade it is.

Delicious, large portions of fries (I ordered a small one, which was plenty big enough). I asked about the specialty, and it turned out to be fries with sour meat or goulash (homemade sauces) and homemade meatballs, so I ordered them, and they all tasted delicious. Fast and super friendly service. Highly recommended.

This is everything you want from a snack bar, and more! Fast service, good prices, very friendly staff, and delicious food. The homemade sauerkraut is especially recommended! It's also nice that your food is served on a plate with real cutlery. Good snack bar.

Absolutely. Delicious. And with everything, the portions are larger, including the sauces, etc., than in the big city north of the rivers. 😃 We should have taken it with us now because it was so busy due to the rain, and that was perfectly manageable. Everything was still warm. We'll definitely be back. They keep a close eye on things there. They know or sense exactly when someone comes in when the ladies aren't looking or are busy. 👍 It was a pleasure to visit.

Terrible fries, seemed like they had been fried 3 times, way too hard and some cold, not worth repeating.

Very nice chip shop run by a young couple. Fries are always good here (and crispy), prices are very reasonable and the service is always friendly. 100% the place where you want to get your fries in Valkenburg.

Upon entering, a good impression of both the building and the two enthusiastic young men. On the spot, my wife and I enjoyed the order, which was more than sufficient and of excellent quality. Fries (chips, if you want them) were delicious and for me, very surprisingly, the spicy bamischijf. Definitely worth a try. Thanks Happy Frites Broekhem 😉

Large portions! For a quick bite to fill the stomach. The Broekhem fries were also popular. Unfortunately, the “fish” served with the fish and chips was of inferior quality for us. We would replace these. The service was very friendly. We had chosen to eat the meal on site, given the crowds, it was not really a “nice” meal….

Well... if you, as a vegetarian, come home with a frikadel instead of a vegetarian frikadel, that's a real shame. I understand that this can happen, but unfortunately not a good start with the first order.

Very tasty meal. I had fries which were crispy but not too. The 3 skewers of satay (very tender) with satay sauce caressed my taste buds. It was busy and we only had to wait 10 minutes for the food. The staff is very friendly.

Delicious food, as you would expect from a chip shop...the satay sauce was delicious & the goulash bitterballen were also delicious...never had it before.

For that expensive price the food was bad, the fries were brown in the center and supper and the fat was no longer good because the croquette simply had brown fat coming off.

The fries were fried too hard, very old fat, I taste it right away, I worked in a snack bar myself and the price was reasonable and everyone loved the food, I will never go here again, not recommended

Very friendly and fast service. The food was delicious, the portions were large and the prices were low. The ambience is modern, but of course it remains a small snack bar. I can definitely recommend Happy Frites and would be happy to come back.

patat met vis erg aan te raden ook erg grote porties en het is lekker vers! dus bij deze aan te raden.

Heerlijke friet echt een aanrader.

Na vele jaren hoef ik niet meer ver te rijden om lekkere knapperige frites met vers zelfgemaakt zuurvlees, frikandellen speciaal, spoetniks, kroketten te halen. Eindelijk weer eens in Broekhem een friture met kwaliteitsprodukten die je in Valkenburg niet echt elders vindt.

Eind oktober 2022 hier heerlijk gegeten, producten waren niet alleen van de hoogste kwaliteit maar ook perfect bereid en heb nog nooit zoveel eten gezien voor zo weinig geld! Bediening is subliem (gaven zelfs vriendelijk uitleg omtrent de benamingen van het eten, want dat is bij ons totaal anders - berenklauw hier = spoetnik daar bijvoorbeeld..) Top ervaring!

Vriendelijk personeel Lekkere friet en grote porties .

Waanzinnig goeie friet, lekker knapperig, ! Fijne bediening , lief meisje kwam vragen of alles naar wens was, of het een sterrenrestaurant betrof! En…. nog nooit meegemaakt, bij het ter plekke opeten kregen wij een groot porceleinen bord en normaal bestek in plaats van plastic wegwerpspul. Deze frietzaak is dus zeer duurzaam bezig wat een ongelofelijk pluspunt is . Kan deze zaak zeer aanbevelen!

The place to be voor heerlijke patat in Broekhem/Valkenburg !!!! Overheerlijke verse patat met lekkere snacks. Heel vriendelijke uitbaters die jou heel vlot helpen en bedienen. Topadres en dit voor een heel goede prijs !!!! Allen daarheen, wij keren alvast terug

Een schone cafetaria waar klantvriendelijkheid hoog in het vaandel staat! Aardige, klantvriendelijke medewerkers. Eten geserveerd als in een restaurant! Hier komen we graag terug!

Hier na een pittige wandeling, met 4 mensen heerlijke verse friet en snacks gegeten, het was veel en heerlijk .en hele vriendelijke jonge mannen .een echte aanrader.
