Had to wait 20 minutes for bubble tea, we will not be coming back!!!

Happy Li is a wonderful place for a delicious lunch or a quick bite. Everything they make is fresh, well-seasoned, and prepared with care. The quality is consistently high, whether you choose something simple or one of their generously stocked specials. The chicken sausage, in particular, stands out – wonderfully tender and full of flavor, a firm favorite. The atmosphere is always pleasant, and you can tell many people love to come back. This does mean it can get quite busy on Fridays and weekends, though. If you don't want to wait too long, it's wise to call or order in advance. Despite the crowds, Happy Li remains an absolute must-see. A regular stop for anyone who appreciates good food and reliable quality, time and time again.

I used to love coming here, but the price-quality ratio has seriously deteriorated. "Tjauw min" barely contains any vegetables or chicken. 3 pieces of chicken breast and 2 pieces of bok choy for 12 euros. The taste has also deteriorated.

One of the better Surinamese Asian restaurants in the Drechtsteden region. I'm from Zwijndrecht, and there are no Surinamese restaurants there. I had delicious moksi meti, quickly prepared, and the service was great. Today we're going for the cod and salted meat sandwiches. The roti with chicken breast is also on our list for next time. They could use a bit more of a smile, but ultimately, the food is what counts, and that's excellent!

I just had one of the most delicious sandwiches here in a long time! It was a toasted babi ketjap sandwich, and I highly recommend it. What a treat!

My favorite restaurant in Dordrecht

Not a pleasant experience. The woman behind the counter didn't quite understand what I wanted (two bubble teas), was rude, and nearly yelled at me. Then the card machine didn't work, and she asked, "Do you have cash??" I didn't think that was very nice either. And the bubble tea itself was completely unremarkable. It wasn't really bubbles, but thick, lumpy pieces stuck together. Not recommended.

Sick after an hour. Tjauw min isn't Surinamese, it's Chinese bami. The chicken breast wasn't very good, and for a few extra snow peas and long beans, you pay €3. Saoto tasted of everything except bouillon and was slimy. I ordered baka bana, and it was cut into pieces because it had been fried so much (??). I won't be back. The telo was okay, but I think they need to replace the oil because it had a strange aftertaste.

Moksie with Tjauwmin: Cha Siu, Barbecue pork, roast chicken and sausage: Confirmed authentic taste same as what you get in Malaysia 🇲🇾😊. Simply tasty and not overly oily (big thumbs up) Wonton soup: Same as my late grandmother cooking. Thank you for bringing back the taste for me.🥹🥹🥹🥹 Bubble tea: Yes I know they used gelatine instead of Tapioca and a bit too sweet. Considering the adaptation to Dutch level of sweetness and the price. I’ll give a pass. One for ask for less sweet and the owner would be kind enough to do it for you. Overall: Nothing fansy but just humble and authentic East Asian (I knew they’re Surinamese Chinese food) street food. Thank you for giving me this wonderful memory of taste 😋 Will absolutely come back for the food 😊😊😊😊

The food is good, but there's little atmosphere, and the whole family is sitting there. Li is quite noisy. It's a beautiful historic building, and upstairs is lovely. Downstairs needs a bit of freshening up. The food is simply superb.

I picked up some sandwiches last Saturday. They were delicious and good. The staff were very friendly. They served me quickly. Fantastic! We arrived right before the kitchen closed. We even got an extra sandwich for free. Where else do you see that? This way, there's no food waste. Keep up the good work.

Very unsociable place to eat. Quality previous owners was better than the new owner since 1 year. Very outdated and absolutely not clean! In addition little enthusiasm of service. For us not again.

Prices have been raised a few times, but now the portions have also become smaller. Too bad, I liked coming here.

Ate at Happy Li today. We come from Haarlem. We had fu yung hai shrimp and roti with chicken leg. It was so tasty. I don't know of any restaurant of this genre that is this good in Haarlem and the surrounding area. As they say with wines, 'detour wine', this is a detour restaurant. The decor is super simple, but we think that is authentic and keeps prices low. The atmosphere was very cordial. Almost a shame that I don't live in Dordrecht!

The food is good, the employees are unfortunately not customer friendly. Sighing, rolling their eyes and talking in a different language. They also almost force you to pay cash instead of by card. The moment you want to pay by card, the above happens.

I visited last week, in all the years that I have been looking for a Surinamese (Chinese) restaurant in every city, I have now found the best of them all. The employees are all very sweet and helpful and the food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommended and again, the food was delicious! Fortunately it is only a 45 minute drive, which I am happy to do.

Disappointing experience I've eaten here before without any problems, but this time it was a major disappointment. The sandwich I got was hard and inedible. When I sent it back I was treated unkindly. The employee immediately said that they "always serve it this way" and that I should have indicated that earlier. But how could I have known that? According to her, this was a "new concept," but that wasn't mentioned until I paid and took a bite. A simple advance warning could have prevented a lot of frustration. Unfortunately, there is little chance that I will come back here, and that is a shame, because I have never had any problems here until now.

Nothing beats a warm soup on a cold day! My favourite dish has to be soato soep with rice. Their homemade chili sauce that goes so well with it, i love it so much! Broodje might be easily found everywhere but you cannot find one that has the same standards as Happy Li’s Broodje. Crispy on the outside & soft on the inside, every bite just gets better! Will definitely go out of my way to come here for their special Broodje. Even their chinees dishes are great, I had the kipfillet met pikante saus. It was soooo delicious and portion was just right. Would definitely recommended 💯 thank you Happy Li!

simply delicious and top fair prices

For my daughter's birthday we had the food prepared by Happy Li. Order contained tjauwmin, nasi, chicken, moksi meti, long beans, prawn crackers, pepper sambal and cucumber. The food was delicious, even the picky eaters (kids) enjoyed it, some even served it twice. Our compliments (also from the guests) to the chef!

I clearly ordered a small saoto and chicken sausage, I did get the chicken sausage but otherwise a dish completely unknown to me. If I say something about it, the staff will argue with me about whether I really ordered this. Indicate that I am the customer and will not be taken seriously if I indicate that I actually know what I have ordered. In my opinion, staff did not show the willingness to find a solution. Doesn't seem customer friendly to me.

If you come there to pee, you will see a sign that says you have to pay €0.50 cents. Fine, I want to pay, but I hear that I have to buy a drink for €2.70 to use the toilet. This is simply enforced very brutally. When I indicate that there is a sign with €0.50, the saleswoman "forgot" to remove it. Well, choke on your €3, rude people.

Nice location, there is also a table to sit outside. Large choice for vegetarians. Just tofu vegetable sandwich. But this one is very tasty.

Delicious chicken curry sandwich, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside! Roasted chicken with delicious homemade sambal and another bubble tea. Food was delicious. Friendly staff. What more could you want?

Delicious food, beautiful building and nice people. It's been my favorite place to get food since I moved from Rotterdam to Dordrecht. Too bad there is no delivery but despite that it's great.

We sat outside to eat. In front of the building in the car-free street on plastic chairs. We ate roti. I the vegetarian version. A lot of food is taken away. We had a wonderful time sitting and eating. So enjoyed it.

the happy Li makes dordt complete!! reasonable prices, delicious bubble tea, good service and also vegan food options ^^ my brother likes the shrimp and (cod?) sandwiches. I would recommend the kale bara and the lychee fruit tea 👍👍

The worst bubble tea. Gelatine instead of tapioca bubbles and way too sweet. Had to throw it out after a few sips. Very disappointed. I saw some good reviews about bubble tea, probably the ones who asked without tapioca bubbles were happy. So watch out!

The food is delicious, as is the bubble tea. But the service is noisy and a bit slow. And 42 euros for food (only 1 main course and a filled barra) and drinks for 2 people is quite pricey. All in all, there are more Surinamese eateries in the area that are better served. But just picking up a sandwich is no problem. I wouldn't eat there again.

"Pin broken" is said even though you can still use your pin after indicating that you have no cash. You are often advised to use cash at the Grote Markt. They prefer to only want cash, which is suspicious. Furthermore, the food is good, but not the best in Dordt.

Food was really bad. I ordered white rice with chicken and vegetables. The chicken was raw and the rice only had cucumbers. Really disappointed.

Rotti looked like he was from the prison's meal selection in black 3 bakke from the freezer. And that cannot be called cheap. Too bad, hopefully happy lin will contact you.

Very tasty food, you can order it and pick it up. I had a chicken curry and a sweet chicken garlic meal with noodles. Chicken is never dry and well seasoned. Your portion is always more than sufficient. Interior could use a makeover.

Ate here last Friday, the chicken curry with tjau min was really tasty and you certainly got value for your money. There was also a bowl of Madam Jeanet sambal which completed the dish. Staff was friendly and paid attention to the customer, will definitely visit again next time!😎👍🏻

De Soato soep was okay alleen de Soato mix ontbrak. De saté was ver onder de maat, de saus was een waterige vla achtige substantie met soort van saté smaak. De Roti kip was een afgang: boontjes ipv kousenband, kleffe aardappel puree ipv aardappels, en de kip was zo zo… Geen aanrader dus. Misschien met de Chinese gerechten meer geluk maar wij passen.

Het eten vind ik gemiddeld. En dit komt omdat het naar mijn mening te zout is. Je krijgt wel voldoende eten voor de prijs die je betaald. Het personeel is vriendelijk.

De bubbletea hier is het lekkerst van herl Nederland. En de eten is ook heerlijk !

Food was great, we had a large Rotie Chicken and Foe Yong Hai and split those between the two of us. Had a great meal and we were proper full! We both also got a Soda, which is like a boba tea but fizzy. They were pretty good too. Including drinks we paid a total of 35 which was an okay price for going out and having tasty food, we'll definitely come back here more often.

Stoelen zijn erg gehorig en eten was te snel koud

Ziet er misschien wat oud uit maar mensen zijn super vriendelijk, de porties groot, het eten heerlijk en de prijzen zijn het waard. Erg goed. Update na meerdere jaren vaste klant te zijn. Nog steeds even goed en vriendelijk.

Geweldige moksi metie Oud interieur maar wel alles super schoon .

Verschillende dingen van het menu genomen en geproefd. Maar voor wat ik kreeg vond ik het best prijzig. Matige porties en niet erg smaakvol. Ik wil niet zeggen dat het eten vies was, maar lekker is anders. Voor mij in iedergeval niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Met de auto zit het ook niet echt op een ideale plek.
