We enjoyed lunch with the family on the terrace. The appetizers were very surprising, the dishes were delicious, albeit very small portions (appetizer and entrée), but the main course was excellent! Cheese and coffee were a wonderful way to end the meal.

Amazing location. Informal, friendly and funny service. Great terrace. Thank you for taking care of all my guests especially the vegan one.

July 2025 Hidden in the forest you can find this nice place. A good restaurant with a nice terrace and open kitchen. A nice winelist (and cellar). Very nice personal and attending service. Swift service, nice pase in passing the different courses. Good wine options / recommandations. Make a reservation and try it out.

Last Sunday, four of us had lunch at Het Koetshuis in Bennekom. We have been here before and it has always been a special experience: refined flavours, beautiful dishes and a pleasant atmosphere. This time, the flavours were excellent again – there is nothing wrong with that. We opted for the 3-course lunch menu, took an extra course and finished with dessert – so a total of five courses. What struck us, however, was that the portions were very small this time. Some dishes were so minimal that they were actually gone with one bite. The extra course of €35 per person stood out in this respect: it was beautifully presented, but in terms of size it was more of an amuse than a dish. The dessert was fine, but here too: small in proportion. Where on previous visits we left the door really satisfied after lunch, we now noticed that we had eaten something at home. And that is a shame, especially with a lunch at this level. With five courses, a bottle of wine, two extra glasses and the new water arrangement of €7.50 per person, we came to a total of €680. That is not strange for a star restaurant, but then the total experience has to be right - and that was missing this time We hope that this feedback is taken into account, because we like coming here and would like to continue doing so in the future. The quality is certainly there, now we just have to make sure that the balance between presentation and portion size is right again.

Zondag hier weer gegeten, altijd een feestje, toplocatie, het was heerlijk weer en zaten de eerste gangen van het vaderdag diner op het terras. Danny Löhr en zijn team hadden een heerlijk menu samengesteld. In de keuken waait een nieuwe frisse wind, vlees en vis in zeer verfijnde combinaties met verrassende smaken,absolute topklasse! Ook heerlijke bijpassende wijnen, kortom echt genieten en een aanrader!

These restaurants, rurally located and surrounded by trees and grass, are absolutely priceless. No honks from the outside ruin your experience. Not easy to get in this bistro, but it's worth the drive. The terrace is beautiful, with great views, and so the first appetizers were served there. The dining hall is big and nice, very nice, well decorated, and allows the view of the kitchen and the work performed there. I went for the Experience menu, not cheap but substantially yummy, especially the langoustine, signature of the chef. The dishes were well presented and the wine was outstanding (thank you, Peter!).

Top! Niet meer en niet minder, leuke bediening en zeer goed eten en drinken. Midden in het bos een verrassing! Snap wel dat ze jarenlang een ster hebben.

During the Christmas holidays we had dinner with my wife. It was fun and delicious.

We ate here for the first time and we had high expectations of this restaurant. Let me first say that the food was really good and was really worthy of a star, but the staff was very disappointing. There was no sparkle, and they didn't know there were guests, they hung at the bar on both sides without any interaction with their guests! In a star restaurant you come for the experience in addition to the food and they have forgotten that at the coach house. And then I didn't say anything about paying for a water package... in addition to a wine package.

I am literally just finishing one of the best meals I’ve had in The Netherlands. It is so good that I have to review it before leaving. Recommended by a coworker, each course has been “lick the enamel off” good, paired with a wine list that bursts with a joy approachable by both sommeliers and everyday diners alike. Though the star of the show is Dr. Rik’s cheese cart. A local whom loves both cheese and Het Koetshuis so much he was invited to run their cheese cart, Dr. Rik’s cheese cart is the 9th inning closer that clears the gastronomical bases. The Amsterdam and Rotterdam crowd need to make the trip because they are missing out otherwise.

Great restaurant, nice menu, super service. Loved the two waiters, they did a fantastic job.

Ate with a group, fantastic menu and beautiful wines. Service quite casual, strange for such a restaurant, but not disturbing.

This restaurant is located in the rustic woods of Bennekom. Beautiful location that does justice to the restaurant. The service was great, a warm welcome and the staff here really takes time and interest in you as a guest. They will do everything they can to make your evening here great. The food is really very good. Flavors are just right, with the surprise of combined flavors playing an important role. Timing of dishes is perfect and all dishes look great. The wine pairing is recommended with the dishes to get the ultimate taste sensation. Atmosphere is traditional but cozy and feels chic informal. All in all, highly recommended to visit if you are in the area (also worth a detour if you are not in the area).

Heerlijke avond gehad. Lekkere gerechten, erg goede wijn en hele prettige en flexibele bediening. Je betaalt er uiteraard wel voor maar voor ons was de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding prima!

Delicious outdoor dining in a top location. Good wine and food combination.

Upon arrival we were led to our table. It was not necessary to mention our name and beforehand my girlfriend had informed me of my shellfish allergy and that I was coming by car. The menu was adjusted accordingly and the matching wines were served half full so that I could enjoy it but still drive back. The food was delicious, beautiful presentation and diverse flavors where every course was an experience. The young boy who served us the wines and served us the food told us all about the wines with passion and had read up very well on the dishes (which had even been partly adapted for me due to my allergy). The portions were perfect and I was well filled afterwards. (I'm generally a pretty big eater.) The location with a beautiful backyard offered us the opportunity to have a cup of coffee in peace and quiet and end the lunch nicely. We would recommend the Koetshuis lunch to anyone who is looking for a fulfilling afternoon experience with culinary enjoyment.

Really bizarre! Everything was perfect, the timing of the food, the incredibly nice service of the young man who helped us, the reservation in which we had specific dietary wishes, the food was an experience as if we were going to the museum, really nothing to complain about! ! Beautifully situated in the Bennekom forests. Large terrace for warm summer evenings. Fine dishes with delicious wines. Service friendly and smooth. Not cheap, but good value for money. Highly recommended!

Stunning restaurant with amazing view, incredible dishes packed with creativity, richness in flavours and wonderful taste. Super professional and friendly staff which is always a plus for me, they made the dinner a wonderful experience! Remarkable alcoholic and non alcoholic beverage pairing, and we finished our meal with the best cheese plate I had in my life. It’s really worth the visit!

The terrace is simply beautiful with the nature view. The food is as expected in a Michelin restaurant inventive and bold flavours. We only didn’t like 1 of the many dishes we tried. Highly recommended experience

Good star restaurant, beautifully situated in the woods near Bennekom. We enjoyed the beautiful and surprising dishes. Some questions about the structure of the menu, but in the end it was fine. Some wonderful finds in terms of flavor combinations.

What a beautiful setting to eat, on the edge of the forest. Truly unparalleled. The food was also very good, although in my opinion it does not deserve the maximum score in its weight class, that of the Michelin stars. The depth of the dishes was there, but the experience was shorter than in many other places I have been. 4.5 stars would be most appropriate. Moreover, still highly recommended!

Zondag zijn we hier weer geweest, weer top, zoals altijd. Na een hartelijke ontvangst kregen we een mooie tafel en daarna al vlot heerlijke en mooie amuses. We kozen voor het vaderdag menu en dat was super! Vis en vlees, met als topper, een cote de boeuf,boterzacht,superlekker! Afsluitend een espresso met heerlijke zoetigheden en een fijne Calvados,genieten! Wij komen zeker weer terug!

He had an amazing experience at Het Koetshuis. The service was impeccable. The food included 3 amuse bouche, bread with butter and a 5-course menu. The wine list was very long, for those seeking a unique wine pairing. The food was very well presented, tasty and all the preparations were 'out of the box'. The combinations of flavor were something like art. It is a 3+ hour experience, so keep it in mind when making other plans. Definitely recommended! And a bonus... They had asked for my birth date so they new it was my birthday and wrote a wish with chocolate on dessert plate. Very much appreciated!

After visiting many star restaurants, it was the coach house's turn. Very good cuisine. No flat flavors. Very full flavors and aromas with well-matched wine. Spacious table with space between the tables. Operation was clearly understandable when explained. Be sure to come and enjoy again and be sure to bring friends. Thank you for this wonderful evening

Enjoyed a great menu, delicious flavors and excellent wines.

What a treat it was to be a guest here. 5,6 or 7 course menu. We chose the 7 courses followed by coffee and friandises. In the photos you see the 7 courses and the menu. Delicious (red) shiraz wine from Australia. The ray wing with licorice and pata negra gravy was our favorite. The gravy was sooo tasty. We thought the vegetarian dish, porcini mushrooms, was the least tasty. Nice, friendly and relaxed service. 1 Michelin star and just wearing jeans and Nike Airs. 2 more seniors in the service and 2 more younger employees. Nice atmosphere. Open kitchen. Very thoughtful is the mini side table for the ladies to place their handbag on and possibly for both, the telephone. The flavors cannot be conveyed in words, so I recommend eating there yourself. The dishes looked like they did in the photos, but they tasted even better. Highly recommended! We prefer to eat at this level, always at a different restaurant, but otherwise we would 1000% definitely come back.

We had a wonderful evening. Food is surprising and very tasty. Beautiful products that are wonderfully processed. On advice we had 2 different wines during dinner, both a perfect choice. It wasn't busy, but there was still a nice atmosphere.

Na een geweldige diner ervaring voor het huwelijksaanzoek in ' 22 hebben we gekozen om op deze prachtige locatie onze trouwdag te organiseren in de zomer van '23. We hadden geen betere keuze kunnen maken. Vooraf is er super goed meegedacht over alle details en mogelijkheden. Communicatie is open en dat geeft vertrouwen dat samen de beste keuzes worden gemaakt. Ze gaan écht een stap verder dan de gemiddelde locatie. Op de dag zelf hebben we totaal geen zorgen gehad rondom de catering. Ze hebben bijvoorbeeld ook heel goed in de gaten gehouden dat wij ook alle receptiehapjes hebben gekregen, ook al waren we even lastig te vinden of foto's te maken. Bedankt Anouk & Danny, we hopen zéker nog vele culinaire avondjes in Bennekom mee te maken maken.

Na het lezen van alle positieve recensies toch een beetje bezorgd, zal het dan niet tegenvallen. Nee dus. Het eerst half uur is vaak bepalend voor de sfeer van de hele avond. Zit je een half uur te wachten op je eerste glas wijn en hoop je een kaart te krijgen. Hier begint het feest meteen vanaf de eerste minuut. Snel glaasje wijn en heerlijke amuses. De (kleine) kaart op tafel viel ons niet eens op, maar maakte het eenvoudig, keuze uit 5, 6 of 7 gangen, die flexibel naar dieetwensen konden worden aangepast. Heerlijk smaken zonder dat het te experimenteel wordt. In een prima tempo en vlotte bediening zonder dat het te familiair wordt. Dan helemaal niets op aan te merken? Nou dan 1 dingetje, akoestiek is niet optimaal, met onze grote ronde tafel met 5 personen soms moeilijk persoon aan de overkant te verstaan. Maar voor de rest een geweldige beleving.

We waren hier voor de 1e keer, maar we werden blij verrast. Fantastisch 7 gangen beleving gekozen met bijpassende halve glazen wijn. We waren 2 jaar getrouwd en we werden goed verwend. Dit was het beste menu qua gerechten dat we ooit hebben gezien. Met rode mul, griet, zwezerik en veluwse eend. De wijnen waren heerlijk uit diverse landen. De maitre/sommelier legde alles perfect uit. We komen zeker terug ook al voor het prachtige terras.

Prima eten, alhoewel erg kleine porties. Bediening wisselend, van uitstekend tot matig. Magere sfeer.

Voor een sterrenrestaurant vond ik de prijs-kwaliteit niet helemaal in orde, het was voor ons te weinig voor veel geld. In de bediening werden er een paar foutjes gemaakt. De wijnen waren super en de sfeer ongedwongen en gezellig.

Een smaakervaring die ons nog lang bij zal blijven, met bijzondere, erg lekker klaargemaakte gerechten en heerlijke wijn. Een hartelijke en gastvrije ontvangst net veel aandacht.

Heerlijk lunchmenu met goede en gevarieerde bijpassende wijnen. Mooi opgediend en goede wijn spijs combinaties. Jammer dat we niet buiten op het terras konden zitten. Amuses waren goed, maar werden vrijwel allemaal tegelijkertijd geserveerd. Sommelier legde goed uit en was flexibel als alternatief glas gewenst was tijdens wine pairing menu. Koffie met een overdaad aan friandises zag er mooi uit, maar was helaas de calorieën niet waard. Al met al genoten van deze lunch.

Prachtige locatie! Echt schitterend met voortreffelijk eten! Ons huwelijksdiner hebben wij hier gedaan.

Zondag lunch: ouderwetse (Franse) keuken met standaard gerechten (sukade, kabeljouw) in een kleiner bord en in een erg mooi gepresenteerd jasje: een concept dat je vaker ziet in vergelijkbare restaurants: met room, mousse, boter- en vleessausen etc als basis, maar weinig rauw, fris en zuur, of onderscheidende smaken/kruiden (Ras el hanout heeft indertussen ook iedereen in de keuken...). Ik denk dat de nieuwere generaties dit uiteindelijk ook niet meer willen. Dit gezegd, wel prachtige wijnen, en een rustige (gras/bos) omgeving, dus er is zeker hoop. Leuke jonge bediening, en aardige sommelier, maar een ietwat ouderwetse gastvrouw bij ontvangst (eerste indruk) die amper aanwezig was en niets zei bij de bediening van de gerechten.

Het was weer een culinair feestje bij het Koetshuis.

The Koetshuis delivered an outstanding and memorable experience. The service was personable and relaxed, while at the same time being precise and skilful. The food was great, showcasing modern French flavours. Someone in our party had some dietary restrictions which weren't trivial. The kitchen went above and beyond in accommodating us, preparing sauces and dishes specifically to suit their needs (we did notify them when making our reservation, of course 😉). We ordered the wine pairing by the glass for our tasting menu. During the meal, the sommelier/waiter learnt that one of us came from a wine region in Germany. Two courses later, he came back from the wine cellar and opened a bottle from this region, especially for us. This may have been my favourite dinner that I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The service, the food, the wine-pairings: all of it was exceptional. Thank you for the great evening. I hope I'll be returning sometime in the future!

Ontzettend genoten! Middag vullende lunch met verassende gerechten. Vriendelijk personeel, de maître had veel kennis en bracht een leuke sfeer. Na vragen of er ook alcoholvrije opties waren kregen we de keuze uit onder andere een alcoholvrije cocktail, deze was erg lekker een aangepast aan mijn wensen. De gelegenheid was een verjaardag en ook hier werd leuk rekening mee gehouden. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug!

De weg er naartoe is al erg leuk lekker in de bossen. We hadden gereserveerd maar waren iets later. Ik belde even en het was geen probleem. Aangekomen is het een prachtige omgeving en de restaurant heeft een mooi terras. We werden netjes ontvangen en naar de tafel begeleid. We kregen eerst amuses die echt super lekker waren. Zeker ook niet weinig. We begonnen met een lekker glas champagne. Vervolgens waren er zoveel lekkere gerechten. Ik koos voor de hamachi, steak tataar Rossini en het signatuur gerecht ganzenlever met epoisses. De gerechten werden prachtig geserveerd en de smaken waren echt een feestje! Er zijn heerlijke wijntjes waar je uit kunt kiezen of je laten adviseren. De bediening was super goed en de chef kwam vaak aan tafel het gerecht afmaken. De sfeer is heel ongedwongen en heel erg relaxed. De zaak verdient zeker de ster en we gaan zeker nog een keer terug om heerlijk op het terras te zitten. De hond mag mee wel even melden van te voren zodat ze rekening met een plekje kunnen houden.

Top Top Top! Genoten van een prachtig 4-gangen lunchmenu met Charissa en overigen. Ècht geweldig! De allermooiste amuses met een heerlijk aperitief! Prachtige wijnen in het lunchmenu... Kan niet beter!

De bediening is perfect, leggen bij elk gerecht uit wat er allemaal in zit en ook bij de wijnen is erg veel kennis aanwezig!

Eten was erg lekker, wijnen ook en pasten goed bij het eten. De bediening ging een paar keer wel echt de mist in, vooral op t einde toen we de rekening wilden. De bar werd al gepoetst, we voelden ons absoluut niet gezien. Jammer dat het zo afliep, we vonden het nogal een onbeschoft afscheid. Ik raad het niet aan om hier te gaan eten, ster verdienen ze niet. Ook al is het eten echt heerlijk, de service is echt niet op het niveau wat je zou mogen verwachten.

Fantastisch restaurant waar alles goed is geregeld. Het enthousiasme van het personeel maakte het plaatje compleet.

Geweldige avond gehad. Subliem menu. Elk gerecht (inclusief de vele amuses) een waar genot. De matchende wijnen heerlijk goed gekozen. Aangename sfeer en attente bediening. Zeer aan te bevelen.

Heerlijk gegeten! Echt een smaak sensatie, fijne sfeer ik kom graag nog een keer terug.

Wederom een geweldige lunch op een toplocatie. Iedere keer weer een feestje. Mooie gerechten van eerlijke producten. Natuurlijk begeleid door mooie wijnen. echt een aanrader...

Lekker, mooi opgemaakt, vriendelijke staf. De bediening is vriendelijk in ontvangst. Wij voelden ons welkom en werden zeer correct en professioneel bediend. Bij vragen neemt men de tijd voor een antwoord. Passie vol worden wijnen toegelicht en geschonken. Gerecht na gerecht zorgvuldig opgemaakt en fijn van smaak. Je kan de keuken waar men met de bereiding bezig zien. Het aanraden waard om er te eten. Een hele belevenis.

Heerlijk geluncht op het zonovergoten terras.

Afgelopen zaterdag weer eens bij het Koetshuis langs geweest. Geweldige avond gehad op het terras. De chef lijkt de aanpak iets gewijzigd te hebben. Gerechten iets kleiner met veel detail en heerlijke smaak combinaties. Vooral de combinatie met ganzenlever voor het dessert was geweldig, maar ook de slibtong / kreeft met ravioli en de zwezerik waren niet te versmaden. Ga vooral zo door !

Waanzinnig goed restaurant met dito bediening. Heerlijk gegeten op het terras uitkijkend over groot grasveld met mooi bos erachter. Dikke aanrader en uiterst mooie wijnkaart met hele redelijke prijzen....

Heel sfeervol landelijk ingericht restaurant. Vriendelijke bediening. We hadden een menu cadeau gekregen van een vriend via Groupon. We vonden het jammer dat niet vantevoren werd aangegeven dat het Groupon menu anders was dan het echte menu. Als we dat geweten hadden, hadden we graag wat bijbetaald.

Prachtige locatie, zowel binnen als buiten. Goede gerechten en de porties zijn zeker niet te klein. Het wijnarrangement was echter een beetje standaard en de enige wijn die verrassend anders was, paste niet goed bij het gerecht. Maar dit kan een persoonlijke voorkeur zijn. 4 sterren omdat andere restaurants met een Michelinster op het gebied van beleving toch wel beter zijn.

Goed bereikbaar, charmant gelegen aan bosrand, zeer gastvrij en stuk voor stuk mooie gerechten. Een aanrader, zeker voor een ontspannen middag.
