The price-quality ratio is fantastic! A friend and I rented the basement venue, and we had a fantastic party. The staff was always ready to help with things like the music and even managed to print things last minute—truly top-notch service! Definitely recommended!

Last Saturday, a group of friends used the Heerenkamer for their own pub quiz. We had reserved the venue in advance. It was the perfect location for us, given the atmosphere, no extra costs, on-site facilities, and helpful staff with excellent service. Highly recommended 👍🏻

The last time I came here was during my student days, eight years ago. I was here this time to organize a company party for 40 people. Everything was perfectly organized; the communication with Christian was excellent, and together we decided what would best suit the group. We decided on a burger buffet with unlimited drinks (beer, wine, soft drinks). The burgers were delicious, and everyone could choose what they wanted on them. There were no hassles, and the bartender was super friendly and helpful. All in all, we had a fantastic party, which was also very affordable. The venue was nicely decorated with disco lights and a private bar. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something to do with a group this large. If you have a smaller group, they also have smaller rooms.

I used to go there often, but it's changed a lot since then. It's incredibly crowded since they let everyone in, with tons of (too) young people, lines stretching out the door, everyone crammed together because there's not enough space. I can't even go in to pick up a coat anymore; I have to wait outside for an hour. It's ridiculous. The atmosphere really isn't the same as it used to be. I wouldn't recommend it for a night out.

Terribly serviced during a bachelorette party. Pushed into a corner near the kitchen serving area. Played a quiz, but you can't hear anything half the time, and the staff wouldn't turn off the music either.

Great place, and definitely not too expensive. Also a great location for a party, plenty of space with something for everyone.

What a great place to have a final party for our graduates: good coordination in advance, excellent facilities, a lot was possible and they were always open to consultation, delicious food for a very reasonable price. In short: highly recommended!

From work we had dinner with a large group of (inter)national students for a conference and a party evening at the Flying Horse. This was very successful. They are very flexible and think along for a large group. Definitely recommended.

Was here last month, our server was Sarah very lovely. Bit disappointed there wasn’t a card with the sodas she took the time to explain it but as a foreigner it’s kinda hard to understand. And also bit confusing it didn’t say on the card when the cocktails get cheaper on Thursday. But overall the food and the service was amazing

As indicated on the internet, you can hand in carnival coins here. It says open at 4:00 PM. Was there around 4:30 pm. Well not... you'll just be sent away again because they don't have time, I can come back another time. It was very quiet and there was hardly anyone there. A small effort... or not that you can hand it in to you. I think you are obliged to take them. Café de pul against top players and what lovely people and can simply hand in the coins there.

It is a wonderful and cozy place to have a drink. We were helped by Caya and Martijn. The service we received from them was fantastic. Definitely recommended to visit here.

Het Vliegende Paard has been a leading catering establishment in the Voorstraat for years. Unfortunately, this has also changed in recent years from a fairly social commitment to a commercial management, which has not benefited the atmosphere. Excellent staff with loving contact with regular guests and visiting guests, and the older "anything is possible" atmosphere is certainly still present. Still the best pub on the Voorstraat, but no longer the peak of Zwolle.

It was a nice atmosphere, on the recommendation of the clerk I got an IPA which was very tasty.

Discovered my great love (for lager) and my friend here. Best bartenders/women with service you can only find in the horse. Christiaan and Martijn make the best POMAs you can IMAGINE! <3 t horse, 4 eva in mah heart #bestplaceintheworld. Other recommended bars: Zeepaardje (Noordwijk), Spotted horse (Laren), Flying horse (London).

On Wednesday evening, some fellow students and I went for a drink in the Paard. When ordering coke(!) we were asked for our ID. Apparently you have to be 18 to order a Coke. According to the employee, this was stated in the rules, which are nowhere to be found. This party didn't happen

Waiter clearly under influence of drugs or alcohol spilled beers he was bringing to our table. It was all over my girlfriend, her clothes were all wet including her phone. Didn't even get proper "I'm sorry or anything" While we understand it can happen to anyone.. But they didn't care much nor show any remorse. And who will pay for the dry cleaning of the leather jacket which now smells of beer and wine?

Good cafe for students. Are you not a student? Then find another cafe.

The student café in Zwolle. In the afternoon you can sit on the terrace or inside while enjoying a drink and something to eat. In the evening there is something to do every day of the week, from cocktail evening to live music or tasty treats, you can also go out here. In my opinion it is too busy during the weekend, but on Thursday evening it is very pleasant with the student associations that also have their society in the flying horse. Definitely recommended to visit!

Had a fantastic party yesterday with an eighty's theme. It was a cozy room with DJ and disco lights. A nice bar with tasty beers and tasty drinks. Recommended.

The entire street belongs to an owner who has a monopoly in the Voorstraat supported by the Zwolle city council, which makes it feel untouchable and places itself above the law. Very unfriendly and racist people who only want to lift you. Be warned and as a foreigner or as a person outside Zwolle you will be treated differently than a blue finger in all his affairs.

Excellent location for students. I'm not one for partying myself but it is a fine location for regular gatherings earlier in the evening. They are also always happy to host student organisation meetings.

As a student in Zwolle you can't really ignore the Horse. Although Boreas has acquired her own society since this academic year, I still have a lot of wonderful memories of the horse. Many parties, AGMs (on the top floor), committee meetings (in the various meeting rooms on the 2nd floor), microwave meals (acceptable quality for a reasonable price) and of course alcohol. The only thing that was really lacking was the quality of the red wine that was served, you wouldn't even do that to a student.......

A real student café, very nice to sit with a group on the terrace or to go out. Going out can be a bit busy, but that is manageable here.

Super café, there is always a very good atmosphere 🙃 and always very nice service, number 1 to go to.

The beer is mediocre, Heineken 0.35 for 4.20 is just not worth it. The food is excellent in terms of price and quality, but the cooking techniques are substandard. I ordered a steak, which was clearly cooked sous vide, which is fine and happens almost everywhere in the catering industry. But then it was placed in the pan at too low a temperature, so it did not meet expectations. We then returned to the flying horse later this evening where we paid more than was ordered. This was not the first time this has happened to me, but this time the staff was unwilling to correct it. A shame for a place with so much potential. You will also be offered a free shot. Which is of course very welcome. But if you have already seen how they mix blue Curaçao with cheap vodka and water. Isn't it disappointing?

Everything the best for students! Very nice! Always competitively priced, and there are always many fun, but also very handsome and neat students dancing on weekends! Furthermore, the atmosphere is simply fantastic and even as an outsider you are also welcome!

Student pub, so you are required to have a valid student card. Service is top notch, almost every option is available with both meat and vegetarian. For me, as a vegan, I even made something up a la minute and it was very tasty!

Good food, conviviality and customer friendliness & service are of paramount importance. Tom in particular is a top bar man, attentive, helpful and sharp! There was no food yet, so Tom immediately went to see where the food was. Kudos!

Was just a bit too busy to rate it higher. They are also allowed to serve decent drinks. Beerenburg Cola/Malibu Cola I didn't taste the alcohol at all. Just tasted more like a Coke. I hardly drink and I think people tend to put too much in it. So here I really had the opposite. Pay for a mix and basically just get a Coke. It's a shame... except for a little more melody, the Hard-Techno party was great fun

great tent, shame about the wardrobe ladies, they were clearly not having their day, due to circumstances I did not have my number at hand, gave a clear description of my jacket, even with attributes in the pockets, ladies just skipped me, because I had it just have to get a receipt. Bunch of grumps together. In any case, I will never come back.
