We chose this restaurant based on the good reviews and were not disappointed. The chef knows his craft. Starters, steak, and fish were excellent. I've rarely eaten such good meat. Good service and excellent drinks rounded out the positive impression. The limoncello spritz was of the Almalfi Coast standard. A rather small establishment with a rustic atmosphere. We would go back. Thumbs up.

Indeed excellent there! Downside is that the outside door does not close properly and it was very windy, causing the door to regularly blow cold wind inside. That is very cold! After Soldaat van Oranje musical the day ended at the Kattuk coat of arms. Delicious food, a clearly varied menu and a cozy atmosphere, a nice end to a successful day.

We went there two days in a row and chose different dishes each time, everything was delicious! The meat is ultra tender and well cooked with a butter sauce and Hollandaise sauce. Perfect.

We were spoiled with excellent dishes and delicious wine with a number of friends, former classmates from almost 60 years ago. An evening that will remain long in the memory.

Delicious food! Especially for dessert, the Onbelievebol is particularly tasty, although we had not thought of that (vanilla ice cream in a ball of cake and almonds). The 36 hour cooked brisket was also great. It was quite full for a weekday Wednesday. Interior fine but a bit basic. Unfortunately my main course was not what I ordered, but I later received the right one (I had hoped for compensation for this haha ​​but did not receive it).

Very good restaurant. Delicious food. Carpaccio was great. Main course (36h cooked brisket) was fantastic. Dessert too. Fast and very friendly service. We also thought the prices were okay. It was a Tuesday evening and the place was packed, so that says something. And reservations are therefore necessary.

Als u hier nog nooit geweest bent is dit een hele grote aanrader. En eenmaal geweest kom je hier zeker weer terug. Bedankt weer voor het heerlijke eten en tot de volgende keer 😀

Rating for Het Wapen van Kattuk I celebrated my holiday and my birthday with friends at Het Wapen van Kattuk - and it was just great! The food was absolutely first class, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The service was excellent – ​​attentive, friendly and always there to make our evening special. The restaurant's decor is cozy and tasteful, which creates a great atmosphere. A special highlight for me were the wine and the cocktails: simply excellent! Every selection was a hit. I would visit this restaurant again without hesitation next time I'm in Katwijk. Absolutely recommended!

Hier komt kwaliteit, prijs en service samen. We hebben heerlijk gegeten: een 3-gangen verrassingsmenu. Prijs was zeer goed en de service was geweldig. Aandacht voor de klant. Daar kan menigeen restaurant niet aan tippen. Maar team Kattuk doet dat goed en dat is fijn. Door omstandigheden hadden we maar 2 uur om te eten maar dat was geen probleem. En parkeren: 0,60 cent op zaterdag avond. Wij komen zeker terug

Before the start of the musical Soldaat van Oranje we had dinner at Het Wapen Van Kattuk. All starters, mains and desserts were very tasty. The dishes were served with a culinary touch. Definitely recommended.

Everything comes together here: price, quality and service. It is a small restaurant with very good acoustics. So no noise problems. Food was good. We had a 3-course surprise menu. Good food for a good price. The service was really great! Many restaurants can match that. Due to circumstances we only had 2 hours to eat, but that was no problem. Parking in the garage cost 0.60 on Saturday evening. In short: we will definitely come back. Thank you team kattuk for the wonderful evening.

We had a chefs menu and each course was rather disappointing. The service wasn't very pleasant either as clearly we didn't like our food (half eaten plates + we told them after they asked us) but it was obvious that they didn't care.

Cozy small-scale restaurant in Katwijk aan Zee. The restaurant is located on a corner with unobstructed views on both sides. The restaurant really gives a living room feeling due to its interior, size & location! The food was fine! Great menu, something for everyone, meat/fish/vegetarian. Tuna Sashimi had a good taste in combination with the crispy papadum. Sukade cooked for 36 hours was also tasty. The bavette is really great! All in all a delicious meal in a nice atmosphere. I found the wines by the glass a bit disappointing in terms of choice.

De twee vriendelijke dames waren te vriendelijk! Ik vroeg 0.0 biertje en ik kreeg biertje met alcohol. Tafelgenoot vroeg een glaasje water bij een glas wijn maar kreeg een Sourcy blauw. Water kreeg ze niet. ‘Eet smakelijk’ terwijl een van ons vieren geen bestek had gekregen bij het entree.

Uitstekend restaurant. Veel mensen komen daar overdag voor een kop koffie of een hapje ren een drankje. Ook veel fietsers onderbreken hun tochtje op deze plek. Prachtig gelegen en alles klopt.

Now you regularly hear that guests do not show up when making a reservation, there is actually no excuse for this. Catering entrepreneurs suffer demonstrable losses due to a no-show. However, to our surprise, it is apparently also possible the other way around: online reservation for 2 people at 5:42 PM and confirmation by email at 6:30 PM. Upon arrival at the restaurant at 6:26 p.m., it appears that they decided to cancel our reservation at 6:20 p.m. Probably an acquaintance who called at the last minute? Bad thing, we were allowed to leave without having accomplished anything. Thank you very much, Wapen van Kattuk......

It is a small restaurant opposite the shopping center in Katwijk and a 3-minute walk from the beach. It is a cozy and very cozy restaurant. The food was delicious. At least you get a plate full of food here! For all the tomato soup with bacon in it, it is definitely delicious!!! They are also very friendly. This place is very popular in Katwijk, so it is wise to make a reservation if you want to go there

On Thursday evening, April 11, 2024, we had dinner at Het weapon van Kattuk at 6 p.m. We had already reserved this appointment 3 weeks in advance. If you want to eat on a Friday or Saturday, you can reserve 4 weeks in advance and you have 2 options in terms of dinner time. From 5:00 PM to 7:15 PM and from 7:00 PM to close. You can park in the garage near the restaurant with a maximum daily rate of 10 euros. We have eaten here before and were completely satisfied. Unfortunately dissatisfied this time for the first time. What we really liked: - starter Tatsuta at 13 euros. Are fried pieces of chicken with a sauce. Kind of KFC ;) but paid too expensive. - Carpaccio Delicious carpaccio for 13 euros. Really great. - Satay Chicken for 19 euros. What a wonderfully tender chicken and the satay sauce was delicious. - Bavette for 27 euros. Nice piece of meat. The hollandaise sauce was a bit plain, but overall it was delicious. What did we like or dislike less: - San Sebastian cheese cake for 9 euros. Bah bah, all three of us didn't like this one. Not that he was spoiled, that's for sure. The taste was simply not what we expected and was therefore not to our liking. - The biggest disadvantage this evening was the waiting. Upon arrival we were quickly given a drink with a piece of bread (spread for 6.50 euros). Entirely right. After we ordered our starter and main course, the wait started. We waited about 25 minutes for the starter, which is decent. The main course after that took a little longer. That was about 35 minutes. Still pretty okay, we think. The wait for desert was way too long. We had to wait more than 50 minutes for our dessert. If we had known that, we would have just ordered a cup of coffee and paid. Now this evening had a nasty ending with lots of delicious food and we think that is a great shame. Naturally, we will give Kattuk's Weapon a second chance. If this were to be the case again in the future, it would be the last time.

Recommended if you want a super tasty meal just outside the hustle and bustle after a day at the beach. All dishes prepared with great care. Make sure to make a reservation, because it fills up quickly.

Heerlijk gegeten , mooie fijne gerechten. Warme sfeer , leuke aankleding van de zaak. Vlot jong team wat ons bediende en de keuken staff. Vriendelijke geprijsd voor de kwaliteit..Goede wijn kaart. Aanrader; 36u gegaarde sucade , mooie smaken , top jus erbij. Complimenten voor de bediening; service with a smile . 2 dames die snappen wat het betekent om gast vriendelijke te zijn. Ga absoluut nog een keer dineren.

Had a delicious meal at this small restaurant. Service is smooth, perhaps a somewhat direct approach, but I personally can tolerate that. Portions can certainly be said to be more than sufficient. Starter burrata, vegetarian variant, main course sukade. Rarely have I had such a tender piece of meat, delicious. The other 5 table guests, two of whom were vegetarian, also enjoyed a delicious meal. If I'm in the area again I would definitely visit again. Reservations recommended, at least three couples were disappointed that there was no room left.

Lovely small restaurant. We went here for dinner and decided on the chefs special 3 course menu. We had no idea what to expect. We weren't disappointed. Top quality food, cooked to perfection. Sans réservation j'ai néanmoins été très bien accueilli. Choix de vins français, italiens et du nouveau monde,possibilité de service au verre et à des prix raisonnables. La bavette est délicieuse, même si elle ressemble plus à un pavé de bœuf qu'à de la bavette d'aloyau. Servie saignante, pas le choix, mais c'est comme ça que c'est bon, avec de la sauce hollandaise bien sûr. Bonne adresse.

The chicken satay was ok, the atjar tasted and smelled like fish, the lettuce was not mixed. The music was very loud.

Cozy place with nice decor. Food was great! Well almost great.. I really liked my sashimi pizza but wouldn’t want mozzarella on it, doesn’t really go with raw fish and seaweed salad in my opinion. Then I had slow cooked meat that was absolutely delicious! I just wish it had a better side dish to complement it, it had what looked like frozen veggies mix next to it. Service was very nice. So I would say this place has a great potential with a few twigs on the menu! My father in law really liked his tuna steak too.

Ontzettend lekker gegeten. En een heerlijk toetje! Snelle service. Een gezellige tentje. We kregen alleen geen mayonaise bij de friet en geen theezakje bij de thee, daar moesten we om vragen. Bediening niet heel alert. Klein puntje van verbetering 😉

Subliem eten! Helaas wat net even te kleine tafels en krap opgesteld. Bediening niet super alert als je aandacht wilt. Ter verdediging van de bediening...het was ook erg druk.

Getipt over dit restaurant en dat was niets teveel gezegd. We hebben heerlijk gegeten. Vooraf brood met een heerlijk smeerseltje, de carpaccio, de ossenhaas en tonijnsteak allen voortreffelijk. Als klap op de vuurpijl nog een origineel en bijzonder dessert. Daarbij nog een prima wijn. De bediening is erg vriendelijk en oplettend. We hebben een erg leuke avond gehad en als we weer eens in Katwijk zijn komen we zeker heel graag terug. Het restaurant is klein en knus, dus reserveren wel noodzakelijk.

Echt het favoriete restaurant. Al eerder een review geschreven; maar wederom top bevallen. Hartelijke bediening; prachtige aankleding; superlekker eten (ook volgens onze kinderen); dessert op maat. Ge-wel-dig!

Amazing food and place! The personnel is quick and accurate and the best desert I had in a while. The portion sizes are large by themselves ( which is nice, but it's a lot of food for the smaller stomach )!

Das Essen war sensationell gut. Sashimi-Lachs, Pokebowl, Rinderfilet und Thunfischsteak waren ein Traum, perfekt abgeschmeckt mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet und ließen keine Wünsche offen. ABER: Wir hatten einen Tisch um 19 h reserviert, waren pünktlich da. Kein Tisch frei. Wir saßen ca. 10 min. an der Bar, bestellten 2 Apérol Spritz, die Servicekraft hinter der Theke griff mit den Händen in den Eisbehälter. Das geht gaaaar nicht. Nirgendwo und schon gar nicht in solch einem Restaurant. Ihre Kollegin mußte auch einen Drink, ebenso der Griff in den Eisbehälter. Normalerweise gibt es zu den Hauptspeisen Pommes, wir fragten, ob wir statt dessen Salat haben können. Die Hauptspeisen wurden serviert, ohne Salat! Wir fragten noch einmal nach. Es kam ein Schälchen Salat für zwei Personen. Der Salat sah aus wie Kantinensalat, der schon 5 Stunden irgendwo stand, die Tomate leicht ausgetrocknet, die Orangenscheibe darauf vertrocknet. Auf unsere Nachfrage erklärte die Servicekraft der Salat sei am gleichen Tag zubereitet worden. Davon waren wir auch ausgegangen. Es war wirklich sehr schade, dass die hervorragenden Hauptspeisen und die Vorspeisen durch die sehr schlechten Beilagen und den dilettantischen Service so konterkariert wurden.

Cozy and nicely decorated place. The menu is diverse with both meat, fish and multiple vegetarian options. We like the vibe. The service was a bit chaotic and we had to try hard before getting the attention of the waiter which never was a great experience. Overall, a restaurant to visit again but I do recommend the owners to fine-tune the service. Ps. paying one euro for some mayonaise is not cool.

Ik heb in Nederland en over de hele wereld echt in veel restaurants gegeten, maar deze verdient echt een plek in mijn TOP 10 qua eten! Ik kom er geregeld en heb afgelopen dinsdag tijdens de Katwijkse toeristenmarkt hier met mijn gezin gegeten, en ook dit keer was fantastisch. Het restaurant is gezellig klein, heel toegankelijk en heeft vriendelijk personeel. Je wordt elke keer verrast hoe de kok de smaak aan het gerecht weet te brengen. De menukaart is erg uitgebreid en culinair met zowel vlees- als visgerechten; ik koos deze dag voor de "Sashimi van Tonijn op Krokante Pizza met Sesam, Wakame, Mozzarella en Wasabi" en de "Grain Fed Bavette met sauce Hollandaise" en als toetje de "Tartelette met Frangipane". Zelfs 's werelds meest geserveerde voorgerecht, een 'simpele carpaccio', eet je hier het lekkerst dankzij hun huisgemaakte dressing. Dit restaurant is een echte aanrader!

Hab bisher noch kein besseres Thunfischsteak gegessen! Das Restaurant ist wirklich ein Besuch wert.

Einige echte NoGos, die inakzeptabel sind und das Bild der hervorragenden Küche erheblich trüben! Wirklich hervorragend waren die Vorspeisen und Hauptspeisen, dafür gäbe es 5 Sterne. Allerdings gibt es auch einige Kritikpunkte: (1)Der Tisch war für 19:00 Uhr reserviert, wurde aber erst 19:20 frei.(2) Der Wischlappen mit, dem Tische gereinigt werden, wurde immer wieder in einem kleinen Behälter mit Wasser ausgespült in der schon eine schmutzige Brühe schwamm. (3) Bei der Zubereitung des Aperitifs (Aperol) wurde von der Bedienung das Eis mit der bloßen Hand aus einem Eimer in die Gläser gefüllt. Hygienisch ist das nicht und geht garnicht! (4) Der kleine Beilagensalat zur Hauptspeise war qualitativ ein echter Kontrast zum sehr guten Hauptspeise: lieblos in einen weißen Schälchen wie man sie in Kantinen verwendet serviert und offensichtlich schon einige Stunden im selbigen: Trocken und welk, fast ohne jedes Dressing.
