We dined a while ago, and the food tasted great. The dishes were well-prepared and flavorful. Unfortunately, the service wasn't entirely flawless. Our drinks were forgotten twice. That can happen, of course, but usually, such a thing is properly compensated, which wasn't the case here. Nevertheless, the rest of our visit to the restaurant was excellent.

My niece visited with her family (who recently moved to Cuijk). Six of us went for dinner here, each ordering something different (because two dishes were unfortunately already gone). The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was delicious. Compliments 🤩 👍🏼 from Heerlen (Limburg)

Quite expensive for a Greek but the food was delicious

No blue-and-white flags, no fustanellas, no staged sirtaki. But don’t be fooled—everything else here is unmistakably Greek: the food, the drinks, and the setting by the water. Even the name has Greek roots, and feels perfectly apt for the location. From the broad terrace you look out across the wide River Meuse, a view made for lingering. Picture next summer: the same spot, boats drifting past in the golden evening light, a glass of ouzo in hand. From Plomari, of course.

Fantastic location, with friendly service. It's good, but not exceptional, and it's quite expensive.

Ordered a gyro plate, tiny, frozen meat!!, very unappetizing. The Spongebob kids' menu (which felt like 50 grams of pasta topped with 5 grams of Gouda cheese) was very disappointing. All in all, very bad in my opinion. Not recommended.

We were very pleased that we were able to get a seat for four people on Saturday without a reservation. Unfortunately, the portions there are very small, but the presentation is nice. In terms of taste, except for the gyro, it's nothing special. Including drinks, we paid just under €120 for four people, including two children. I personally think that's too much. The service was quite good, and the atmosphere was fine, too.

I visited the Horizon restaurant last night and was absolutely thrilled with the Greek food! The bifteki was a highlight; it was so juicy and flavorful that I would order it again in a heartbeat. The grilled meats were also a dream, with a perfect blend of different meats, all grilled to perfection. A little more salt would have done everything right. The staff were very friendly and attentive, served us well, and answered all our questions. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and inviting; I immediately felt at home. The prices were also very fair; I think the Horizon restaurant is a real insider tip for Greek cuisine. I would definitely recommend it and give it 4 out of 5 stars. I will definitely come back and try other dishes! Greek cuisine is simply amazing!

Mooie lokatie, helaas de enige Griek in Cuijk. Als er een 2e zou zitten kwam hier hoogstwaarschijnlijk niemand meer! Bij aankomt gelijk een kleine discussie over het wel of niet gereserveerd hebben dat wij tapas wilde eten. Alsof dat zoveel verschil maakt voor de keuken… Na een aantal rondjes gegeten te hebben en vooral ook veel gedronken werd het wat later. Veel klanten waren al weg. De eigenaren en de bediening vonden het normaal om aan een shisha te gaan binnen. Wij zaten gelukkig buiten. Wij werden gewoon de deur uit gekeken ruim voor sluitingstijd. Al met al een teleurstellende ervaring. €325 lichter met 5 man. Geen ouzo van de zaak wat bijna gebruikelijk is bij een Griek. Zelf na het vragen voor de gein kregen we het niet. Bij afrekenen de bekende vraag “was alles naar wens”. Toch aangegeven dat de shisha en ontbrekende ouzotje slecht was. Meisje zei eerlijk “ik mocht het niet geven van de baas”. Prima service, slechte eigenaars/uitbaters. Mij zien ze daar nooit meer terug!

Wij vonden dit restaurant niet best. De bifteki had droog, compact, taai gehakt en was gevuld met een soort saus in plaats van feta. De tzatziki was smakeloos. Op een extra besteld glas wijn hebben we zeker 20 minuten zitten wachten. Toen we die nog niet kregen hebben we de rekening maar gevraagd.

Upon arrival we asked where we could sit on the terrace. We were allowed to find a spot ourselves. Nice service and great terrace along the Maas. Delicious sandwich with spicy chicken eaten. Nice location if you are cycling or driving a car or motorbike.

We were only there to grab a refreshing drink. I chose it because of the beautiful scenery while sipping my greek iced coffee and it was good .

First time visiting this restaurant. It is in a beautiful location with a view over the Maas. It is located on a 30 km/h road where car traffic regularly passes by. However, due to the glass screens, you can hardly hear the traffic, while the view remains unobstructed. The restaurant has a neat interior, a varied menu and actually all the ingredients to be a top location. Unfortunately, it is not. The improvement is easy to make by paying attention to: hospitality, presentation of the dishes and atmosphere. It is a pity for now that the business has not yet put these dots on the i. Regarding hospitality: in my opinion, the service is distant, which makes it almost uncomfortable. Selecting the hostess/host based on motivation and good training can certainly make the difference. Presentation: the presentation of the plates could be better, even if it is only a burger with fries. It was identical to what I would normally find a plate at a chip shop (it did not detract from the taste because it was worth a 9/10). As for the atmosphere: plants that are unmistakably plastic detract from what you want to achieve. I would definitely visit this restaurant again but more to see if they have taken the feedback to heart.

Calamaris rings were quite good, I really liked those. The main platter meat was really really dry. It's sad, I never not finished my dish, but this was a battle against food I really couldn't eat. I would love to try them again for the Calamaris, but I will have to order a different main platter. The seating was quite bad. Unlucky us, we were sitting outside which was too warm and windy. But inside was no option because there was no cooling system. So it was either sitting in a sauna or a windy sauna. Just unlucky.

Fantastic place to eat and look out over the Maas. It's lovely to sit outside when the weather is nice and we've been there so many times that we've already had the entire menu. Maral and Niklos are nice people who, together with their colleagues, have a feeling for the guests. In short, highly recommended!

After a long time we ate again and although we could hardly finish our meat at first, we left hungry, the meat was not fresh and shrinkage has also occurred here! We also indicated this when the waitress came to ask if everything was as expected, she replied: I have been working here for 5 years and it is no different now than it was then. The owner was walking around but disappeared into the kitchen :/. After 30 minutes we had cleared our plates and left, not a peep about our comment. Too bad there won't be a next time for us!

Hoofdgerecht was goed, de bediening vriendelijk. Het nagerecht (verrassingsmenu) was buitensporig duur en de kwaliteit beneden alle peil. Voor 12 euro mag je iets meer verwachten dan cake en zulke slechte kwaliteit ijs met wat kant en klare aardbeiensaus. Met onze opmerkingen hierover werd niks gedaan,erg jammer dit. Zo verliezen jullie klanten Horizon!

The view and location are beautiful. Quality and taste of food downright poor. Service asked if we enjoyed it (our plates were barely touched) we said; No, but there was no response to this and nothing was really done about it.

At Horizon in Cuijk, where the name promises what the kitchen does not deliver, the view is better than the plate. The prices rise like mountains of expectation, but what you get is a flat landscape, without relief, without soul. These are not dishes that speak, not flavors that tell stories. What is brought to the table is the safe, the predictable — a translation of what people think tourists are looking for, not what a traveler wants to discover. Authentic? No. This is the eating of oblivion, a stylized silence in a restaurant that feels as cold and devoid of atmosphere as the dishes it serves.

I went there for dinner with my son on September 27. The food is super good and the price is not too bad, only if the owner is not present, the ladies are not so keen to pay attention to whether someone wants a drink or whether someone wants some food or dessert. We wanted dessert, but none of the ladies came to clean up and asked if we wanted anything else if the owner were present, I'm sure this would happen. So we actually left without dessert. I write this review for a reason to keep these ladies a little sharper with their work.

Our annual family day ended with dinner at Horizon. My wife and I were in the mood for Stifado again, and it was really tasty. Good flavor and deliciously tender meat. The rest of the group was less satisfied. The Mixed Grill, among other things, was described as far too dry. The Souvlaki also received the same rating. I was sorry that the group found the food disappointing, we have really enjoyed eating here in the past. But the beer was tasty 🍺.

Bij aankomst geen Uzo ? Prijs/hoeveelheid staan niet in verhouding. 3 personen aan klein tafeltje; bij anderen niet. Weinig ruimte voor de servering.

🇳🇱 Tasty, but little value for money. 5 lamb chops for Euro 27.50 with a pathetic head of lettuce. Flat White cup of coffee for Euro 4.80 and no ouzo afterwards. Plus point: beautiful view of the Maas.

Super gastvrij, vriendelijk personeel. Heerlijk gegeten, iedereen! We vierde de verjaardag van 2 gezinsleden. Dit gaan wij zeker vaker bij hen doen. Aanpassingen op gerechten wordt zonder probleem opgepakt. Alles vers en goed op smaak. Heerlijke vis en vleesgerechten. Prachtig uitzicht op de groene heuvelrug van groesbeek en de maas.

Op het terras een kopje koffie met een lekker stukje taart genuttigd. Meisje wat ons bediende was vriendelijk, echter bij het afrekenen liet de, waarschijnlijk de eigenaresse, haar ongenoegen duidelijk blijken toen we cash wilden afrekenen met een biljet van 50 euro bij een bedrag van 15 euro. Niet zo'n professionele houding! Jammer!!

Very pleasant restaurant with friendly service and a beautiful view over the Maas. I think the terrace would be great in warmer weather, but now we were inside. We were with our three children (8, 5 and 3) and the staff was very helpful in making sure we all had a good time.

Lovely place with friendly staff

Bij aankomst geen hartelijk welkom maar na een verbaasde reactie dat we niet buiten wilde zitten bij 15 graden, wind en regen werden we over gedragen aan een andere jonge dame die ook niet wist wat ze met ons aan moest. We kregen (we hadden gereserveerd) uiteindelijk 'onze' tafel toegewezen. Al snel kwamen onze bestelde 'schotels'. Het was niet druk. Van het personeel kwam geen lach op de gezichten. Geen vriendelijke uitstraling niets. De aankleding in het restaurant is strak en ook niet echt uitgesproken gezellig. Het eten is redelijk. Doei was het 'tot ziens'. Wij komen niet meer terug. Jammer.

Mais brood vooraf met kruidenboter. Maisbrood zo dun gesneden dat kruidenboter bijna niet aan te brengen was. Kruidenboter was roomboter met peper en zout... Inktvisringen en gyros wraps vooraf. Gyroswrap was vrij smakeloos en had echt meer aangekleed en op smaak gebracht mogen worden. Gyros gegratineerd uit de oven als hoofd. De kaas was niet eens gesmolten maar dat was helaas niet eens het ergste wederom smakeloos en het " pikante" was volgens mij de chilisaus die ze toegevoegd hadden.. echt niet te eten gewoon zonde en weggegooid geld. Voor ons nooit meer!

Zaterdagavond 4-3-'23 hier geweest voordat we naar de schouwburg gingen. Echt heerlijk gegeten op een hele mooie locatie aan de Maas !! Vriendelijke bediening en zelden zo'n mals vlees gegeten als bij Horizon. Wat ons betreft; tot een volgende keer !! Waarschijnlijk komende zomer op jullie mooie terras.

Vriendelijke bediening en zelden zo'n mals vlees gegeten als bij Horizon. Wat ons betreft; tot een volgende keer !! Waarschijnlijk komende zomer op jullie mooie terras.
