What a great place! The service is fast and the food is freshly made, with a fantastic view. Highly recommended in the area 👌

Because the jetty was closed to passers-by at 8 p.m., I went to Humphrey's for dinner. It had a lovely, cozy terrace with a nice view. The staff was friendly. I was struck by how quickly the food arrived, definitely less than 10 minutes after ordering. I had the chicken satay and the salmon burger with fries and salad (the salad was 10 cucumber slices in a bowl with dressing). The food was tasty, but for €25 per person, it was rather unimaginative and felt like a reheated meal. Of course, it's a holiday park, but the food could use a bit more passion; otherwise, I'd just go to McDonald's.

Don't order takeout pizzas; they're burnt on the outside and undercooked in the middle. Could be better! The restaurant is fine, especially in terms of atmosphere and service. The food is decent, but don't expect anything special.

The only downside, and the staff should address it. Even though I'm a true animal lover, there are too many dogs in the restaurant every time. And the highlight of last weekend: children entering the restaurant on their scooters. They deny these families access and enter the restaurant in a normal way. Imagine being a staff member with a tray full of soup, and then a child on a scooter walks by...

Good value for money. Service is truly 10/10, incredibly friendly staff. They really go out of their way to make your dinner/breakfast better. If something isn't quite up to par, they'll arrange compensation. The food was delicious, a nice menu—nothing special, but very tasty. I would definitely give it a try; we had a great evening!

Reservations are recommended on weekends, as it can get busy. Dinner was excellent, with pleasant and efficient service. Drinks on the terrace overlooking the water are also a lovely experience.

We ate here with the whole family today – everyone had the three-course menu. The various dishes were all delicious. The service was also very attentive and polite...but when we asked for free fries, there was no one around – lucky for our stomachs 😄 It's not cheap, but it's delicious 😋

This has a large cozy terrace. We had a drink and an ice cream and that was definitely worth it. The service was also good.

Ate with 6. Was terribly bad Chicken satay returned twice, had been reheated so often that it had become shredded meat. The taste was also very special. Two small dry sticks with very salty satay sauce. The steaks (at €35) were overcooked and tasted a bit sour Staff was fine. They should retire the chef.

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. Also a nice terrace. The takeaway should be better organized and monitored, that did not go well for me and the customers before me.

In itself fine for the price but on the first day of Pentecost it was overcrowded and they had not planned well with the reservations. Options on the menu were sufficient. As vegetarians we had the melanzane but unfortunately that was a bit disappointing. Service did their best but could not keep up with the enormous crowds. Better planning in advance could have prevented this.

The atmosphere was great, but the service was unfortunately very slow and lacking in enthusiasm. We would have liked more drinks, but the staff cleared away empty glasses without asking if anyone wanted anything. The refill order was forgotten, but luckily it wasn't included in the bill. The food was nothing special, but the cocktails were very tasty... The price/performance ratio was a bit overpriced, but thanks to the parking, there were hardly any competitors.

Very slow. One of us forgot the main course. After repeated request, restored, without any apology. The owner's response to this review is very weak: automated; without addressing the content.

Food was dramatic, a simple chip shop would not deliver such quality except for the mixed grill, the main courses were not the amount of a minimal starter, for example the salmon pan consisted of a minimal block of salmon, 3 small dried out pieces of ravioli and a carrot. Scandalous! Fries were inedible steamed half raw strips of potato. All in all dramatic quality for such a beautiful location, hard working service will be ashamed to have to put this on the table.

Nice place, but Dutch menu. It closes early like all the shops in Holland!!! Luckily there are some kids from Greece and they saved the situation!!!!

1 star (0 if that were possible) 8:30 PM / 1-5-25 My recent visit to this restaurant was downright disappointing and left me with a particularly negative impression. I placed an order via the restaurant's own order machine, where I also selected a soft drink. To my surprise, the coke was immediately poured into a glass cup — this was a whopping 25 minutes before the food was supposed to be ready. It is completely illogical and customer unfriendly to pour a cold drink so far in advance, which will naturally make it lukewarm and unappealing by the time the customer receives it. When I politely asked if I could take the soft drink with me, the employee behind the bar — presumably the owner or manager — responded in an extremely unprofessional and unfriendly manner. Without any kind of customer focus, he took the now lukewarm coke and threw it into a plastic cup in an almost mocking manner, as if my request was a big burden. His attitude radiated contempt, and I did not feel welcome or valued as a customer at all. What makes this experience even more distressing is that the employee seemed to barely care about customer service. His behavior was more appropriate for someone who reluctantly does his job than for someone who runs a catering business. There was literally more kindness shown to a dog than to me as a paying customer. This experience has definitively closed the door for me: I will never order here again and unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant at all. Customer friendliness and basic service are at the core of any catering business — and both were completely lacking here. If it were possible to give 0 stars, I would have done so without hesitation. !!!

Food, service etc all good. Though 3,50€ for a glass of coca/fanta seems a bit exaggerated. The sprite was served in a small bottle at the same price. Nothing wrong with the price, if a glass bottle was served.

Staff who are not able to speak Dutch, where will they go just to make more profit!

Grandma's birthday party celebrated at a giant breakfast table. Very nice domain,.. water, terrace, facilities,.. safe children's playground,... Breakfast was price-quality certainly ok... Pleasant restaurant,.. nice arrangement,.. attentive and friendly staff,... The sun was missing,... and there was a lot of wind,... But look,... those are reasons to come back. We will definitely do it 🤞

A quiet, half-empty terrace and another 30 minutes of waiting for staff to come by to take our drinks. Then we had to wait another 45 minutes to take our lunch... very slowly, while after ordering we received the food quite quickly! So the kitchen is top notch, but the service, a bit more this summer, would be useful..

Due to nice weather it was very busy on the terrace, we sat inside, the staff's attention was very focused on outside instead of inside, understandable, but it meant that we had to wait a very long time before we were seen and helped, which is a shame. Divide your service so that there is at least 1 who serves inside.

We first sat outside on the terrace, then we went inside and then we wanted to order food, then the food came first and when we had finished it, the remaining food arrived that we would receive. After eating we were asked if everything was to our liking, in the end we were provided with everything and we had finished the food and we said that we wanted to order another dessert in a moment. 45 minutes later we could only order a dessert and after my girlfriend had ordered a dessert I wanted to order fries (which we could order unlimited). But I didn't even have time to order before she walked away again. Later, more people came and dessert was brought and we asked if they could also order drinks and the service that we could order from only came after 15 minutes and ordered a pornstar martini non-alcoholic, but at first it could not be made, but 10 minutes later a pornstar martini arrived, non-alcoholic, but it tasted like orange juice and again we asked for fries, then at half past eight they asked if fries could still be made, but we had not heard anything else about it (it says so on the bites menu). you can order until 10 p.m.). In the end we waited until 9.15 pm and the girl was still not back to say if we could still order fries. Conclusion: no fries yet. So I experience this very disappointingly, partly because I also work in the catering industry.

The restaurant is simply great. The food is delicious and the menu is varied. Everyone can really find something there. I have to say a huge thank you to the employee Natascha. She made the evening in the restaurant a real experience. I have never had such a warm, friendly and welcoming waitress. She noticed that I was celebrating my bachelorette farewell and brought me dessert with fireworks and a chocolate decoration and also a glass of champagne. This warmth and attention simply has to be rewarded! Thanks for that.

Delicious food in a nice atmosphere and great service. We had two "Meergranenbol Pulled Chicken" sandwiches with coffee. The restaurant is dog friendly. Then continued the walk through the picturesque Thorn.

We ate here 3 times this week because we were on holiday here. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated, especially beautiful now that everything is in the Christmas spirit. A lot of care has clearly gone into this. The food was excellent. Compliments for the Asian carpaccio, what a tasty combination with the sesame and radish. The mixed grill was incredibly tasty and tender. Actually everything was very tasty. The first evening the fries were not warm, but when we said something about this we immediately received new warm fries. The employees are all extremely friendly. It was nice that our dog was welcome and even received a bowl of water and something tasty tonight. We can highly recommend this restaurant as well as the holiday park. We will definitely come back soon!

Lovely tavern with a very large terrace overlooking the Maasputten of the Maasresidence Thorn, very close to the picturesque historic white village :)

Central restaurant in the Maasresidence Thorn ...a holiday home complex with all the trimmings (see my review...) (Of course...) guests can reserve tables online digitally or order a time slot for a breakfast buffet. Fast crew...mostly young people. Terrace facing the lake and a large, visible playground ensures occasional peace and quiet from the pens traveling with you 😂 Without leaving the house you can reach the reception, bowling alley and shopping area. A visit is recommended...especially at sunset with a bottle of wine 😁👍

Breakfast is a complete disaster. It is not refilled. Scrambled eggs take about half an hour to be refilled and served. Hardly any choice, only ready-made food Totally overwhelmed by the breakfast service. If you want to spend your money unnecessarily at breakfast, you've come to the right place. It's better to donate the money or throw it into the sea. The management should be ashamed of offering something like that and calling it “brunch”. Aren't you interested in serving good brunch?

Were there in the evening, so there was a “three-course menu”. There was a German menu and some of the waiters also spoke German. The starters were relatively large, so we were quickly full by the main course and didn't manage to have dessert. So if you have a sweet tooth, you might want to skip the starter and opt for dessert. All in all, we liked it and were satisfied!

Nice terrace. We had to wait a long time before someone came to take our order. When they finally brought it, I immediately asked if I could pay. That ended up taking another half hour. There were a lot of staff walking around and it wasn't that busy. Because of this we decided to eat there as well. By the way, the staff didn't even speak Dutch.

The first day at the park we wanted to pick up food. That couldn't be taken from the menu because she didn't want to put it in a container to take with her to the house. We had company with us who cannot tolerate gluten. She didn't understand this. On the second day, my friend and I went to the restaurant together to eat. We were put in a spot. That's it. After 30 minutes we asked the waiter if we could order something. He indicated that it was too busy and that it was completely normal that we had to wait 30 minutes. If we wanted to order food we had to wait at least 45 minutes extra. What a ball tent.

Location, price and food are absolutely great! Ordering your drink via QR was super fast. Serving staff extremely friendly, but I missed some niceties. You can look out over the terrace to see if anyone wants anything or you can look out over the terrace and see nothing and miss signals. Which happened regularly. What could be improved is the clearing of the tables. Especially on the terrace, it took a very long time before action was taken. These are tips and not nonsense. Because respect for the waiting staff when it is hot and working long hours.

I just dined at Himphrey's for the second time and really like the ambience and service. Unfortunately, there was almost no Aperol in my Aperol today, which can be easily hidden by the orange glass. All the more water and 🍋 instead of orange. Now I'm really disappointed because the hefty price of almost €10 should get you a pleasant Aperol. PS the cappachio is very good.

A beautiful location on the water, in a very special holiday park in the historic village of Thorn. We moored the boat for a small lunch. A delicious soup, friends a nice salad. Nice and friendly service by Nicole, who also took a photo of us. I would recommend everyone to visit this park and restaurant by bike, car or boat.

Beautiful location on the water and the interior design is very nice. At first glance the outside is attractively decorated, but the tables were really not clean. Plates were placed directly on the table. A paper pad would really be an added value. Just 2 minutes after getting our appetizer they served all the food. We chose the mixed grill and it was tasty. Perfectly cooked and beautifully served. In the meantime we ordered something to drink and all the empty glasses remained. During dessert, the aperitif glasses and lemonade glasses were still on the table, next to the coffee bags. With this experience, I would only choose outside for drinks and reserve a table inside if you want a better restaurant experience.

We enjoyed our 3-course dinner outside on the terrace on the water of the Maas. The food was delicious. The meat is well done and tender/soft! The salads were good, as were the fries that came with it, served with mayonnaise and fresh applesauce just in chunks. We had the yellow pepper soup and the fried salmon rolls as a starter. As a main course we had the mixed grill and our dessert was the tiramisu and the Paris choux with strawberry mousse. Highly recommended! 3 course menu is 40 euros We paid €103 for 2 people including drinks The park is still under construction but is already beautiful. We went there for dinner because we had received a restaurant gift card and this was the closest location for us to be able to redeem it, but we really liked it here! Ps; dogs are also welcome in this park, including outside on the terrace. We don't know inside, but outside there were even drinking bowls for the dogs.

But the last few times I thought the quality of the food and menu choices had deteriorated somewhat. While, for example, a number of drinks and desserts have become considerably more expensive. I would also like to pass on a tip to management. You can order via app, but not pay with it, that would be more practical. b And in addition to payment by bank card or NFC, the option of payment via QR code would also be useful, especially for foreign tourists. That's why I'm giving one star less in this new review

2nd time we came to eat here. The decoration is beautiful, beautiful luxury restaurant on the water in a beautiful Resort (Residence), friendly staff, but they could pay more attention to the empty glasses, so that we do not have to keep calling available staff for an order. The crispy fried salmon roll was delicious as was the carpaccio. We both found the mixed grill a bit dry, but the entrecôte was delicious and the pepper sauce was nice and spicy. Plenty of play space for the children outside! Prices are quite high, but you see that at every catering establishment these days.

We went here twice for dinner during our vacation. The restaurant is spacious inside and out, the service is very nice and the food is good, especially the fries that come with every main course. The price-performance ratio is okay, the only thing that is incomprehensible is that all starters and main courses cost the same, regardless of whether they are meat, fish or vegetarian. We also tried the takeaway pizza once and were very satisfied.

Nice place good atmosphere, good choice of food.

Our daughter was stung in the foot by a bee. Asking twice in the restaurant for a halved onion to counteract the bee's poison was rejected. Instead, my wife was directed to the adjacent supermarket and had to buy onions there. From our point of view, this is a total failure of operational management. We (6 people) are still in the resort suburb for 20 days, we won't be spending any money at Humphreys.

Lovely spot on the water. Unfortunately, clearly too few staff. It takes a very long time for them to come and take the order. There are still many dishes on the tables from previous visitors. Poor collection. Ordered food for me and my husband. I got my food before my husband. I had already finished the dish before my husband got his food. In the end we paid and my husband didn't eat anything. The staff accommodated us by giving us a drink for free. We thought this was very neat. But we won't be returning here anytime soon. Unfortunately, the controls do not work properly. Two people serving on the terrace and everything runs together. For such a beautiful place, you would expect this to be better organised.

I got a huge soup kitchen feeling at this restaurant with the way the menu was put together. The food including presentation was nothing special in my opinion. For 40 euros I can eat a much better 3-course menu elsewhere. What they dare to charge for a specialty bottled beer is completely absurd. Service was ok, not super attentive. All in all, a very mediocre experience.

Nice restaurant and beautiful terrace. Only price-quality ratio is gone. 25 euros for a main course which is not really that big, teenagers were still really hungry after the hamburger. Salad was good but not everything that was supposed to be in it was there. (herbs, coconut and it was not pulled chicken but just pieces of chicken and some lettuce) No bread or fries, but you had to pay the full price as a main course, which normally includes bread or fries, etc. Starters and desserts are fairly normal prices, but for the portion of the main course you get, not worth 25 euros. Friendly staff. But above all, we pay attention to each other and not to the customers. Too bad because it is a very nice place, especially with the terrace. Unfortunately it was disappointing for us

Unfortunately, the food from 8 people came with a long delay. A meal was completely forgotten. Cutlery and side dishes were available upon request. I suspect that the technology caused some problems and the experience was not normal. Basically, the restaurant has potential.

After an exclusive restaurant was previously advertised, we went there on the first day of our vacation. The food (pizza and burgers) was really borderline. The pizza was comparable to frozen pizzas and the meat in the burger was unidentifiable. Really very bad. And all of this in the middle of a wonderful holiday paradise

We vacationed at the Parc and ate in the restaurant there. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the service is friendly. Unfortunately the food was very unsatisfactory. I had a regular margarita pizza and was very dissatisfied. The tomato sauce had a strange taste and generally the pizza was not good. My mother had a burger where the meat wasn't tasty. Overall, we were both very dissatisfied with the food, which is a shame for the reputation of the park and the restaurant.

We were served a cup of tea from fresh ginger for 3,50 euros that even after 30 min still tasted and looked like fresh warm water. It's nice that you put it in a fancy shape and put some slices of orange in the cup, but if you don't grate the ginger, or at least cut it into smaller pieces, it doesn't do anything with the water...we also ordered some nachos, it was served with avocado, cheese and jalapeños, it was ok. On the second day of our stay, we ordered pizza for takeaway, they offer only 4 types of pizza which already says something about them, and also you can't have them in the restaurant, only for takeaway. I took the pizza to our room, open it and found out they didn't cut it... A restaurant at a hotel with rooms without kitchens or any cutlery in the room offers pizza that is not cut, I don't know whether I was supposed to steal cutlery from the restaurant during previous evening, or to open and cut it in the restaurant, where I can't eat it, or whether I should pack a pizza cutter to my suitcase next time...pizza was moist and the salami one was really greasy. Quattro formaggi one was better, but I would change its name to Due formaggi.

The cocktails at the bowling alley were not as pictured and were very disappointing. We got the starter after 30 minutes and the main course after another 70 minutes!

Spacious restaurant with a terrace by the lake and a great view. Unfortunately, most of the tables inside had not yet been cleared and wiped down after breakfast. The staff was understaffed and primarily served outside areas. After about 25 minutes, our group left the restaurant again - without being able to place an order. Therefore we cannot rate the food.
