Hello everyone, the ice cream parlor has been taken over since March 1, 2025, and will operate under the new name Het Zoete Hoekje. They'll be serving a different ice cream, namely Gebo Gelato! Otherwise, you can still enjoy delicious hot and cold drinks with Limburg pie. There's also a chocolate shop with Geruba chocolate, a gift shop, and lunch with homemade sandwiches, soups, and much more! Come visit soon!

Smurf ball and melon ball in a bowl, melon could be stronger in taste, smurf ice cream is ok. But it seemed like I was eating those foam blocks (the yellow/pink ones from before) in terms of structure

We have been here before and we noticed then that it was so nice there. Staff friendly. Coffee of excellent quality presented in the right way (see photo) and the ice cream is also very tasty, a deserved 10, as far as I am concerned.

May 2025, children paid 8 euros for a box of chocolates with exactly 6 chocolates (88.23 grams total = >90 euros per kilo). In addition, the children were shown 8 chocolates when they bought it. The sweet present for mom has a very sour aftertaste.

In itself a good location for a stopover in the village. However, I think the ratio of €2.25 for those small balls is scandalous. Ice isn't particularly good either. I told the kids it was the last time.

I think €2.25 per scoop of ice cream. In a village like Voerdaal? March 2025. I think it's very expensive. The ice cream was tasty. But so did Aldi's. So the conclusion was that this was the last time.

Good ice cream, not too expensive.

I just wanted to get an ice cream at your ice cream parlour, as I have done before. Unfortunately, really not satisfied with the service at all. Due to a serious nut/peanut allergy, I asked the employee whether there was an allergen list available or whether the employee could verbally indicate whether I could eat this. The employee indicates that he does not have an allergen list and does not know what is in the ice cream, because he did not make it himself. I hereby point out that the catering industry is obliged to be able to demonstrate at all times which allergens a product contains (written or verbal). By the way, I normally receive this information from you. I also mention this to the employee, to which I receive the answer: then you know which ice cream you can or cannot have. Completely unfriendly answer and not at all relevant since your ice cream flavors change regularly. The employee eventually calls the owner to inquire about the allergen card. The telephone conversation could be heard clearly. The owner indicated that she did not want to start making an allergen map. They couldn't start this for the "one person in 100 people" who would ever ask for it. He also indicated that the person should take the sorbet ice cream, that was always safe. I finally took it, even though it wasn't what I wanted. It's a shame that someone with severe allergies should feel so embarrassed to ask a simple question and then get such a response. If you don't want to start with an allergen card, that's fine, but make sure your staff has the knowledge to tell you this. So that "one person in 100 people" can simply order an ice cream of their choice.

And just when it started pouring rain I arrived in Voerendaal. Very annoying when you end up at this nice ice cream parlor 😉 Very friendly people here. Sat on the terrace out of the rain with a delicious strawberry coupe. Definitely recommended.

Seemed like a nice place, but it might be smart to adjust the opening hours on the site and Google. It says that it is open until 8 p.m. except from October to April. It was a closed case. There are different opening hours on the door.

Review from March 2024 incl updated ; Previously I always went to Germany for ice cream at the Italian...that is a thing of the past since 3 weeks. We've had ice cream here every weekend lately. Good quality, good portions, friendly young man and whenever I ask for a small bowl of whipped cream for the dog, he doesn't make a fuss. We are happy, Nina is happy. 👍🏻🐶 Addition to previous review >> 06.04.24 ; The above only applies if Stan is in it. Today another boy in it, scoops were not even a full scoop of ice cream. Then €1.75 is on the pricey side. When a young man was approached about it, he said Stan was confronted about his oversized shovels and did nothing about it. 2 scoops with this young man were half of the 2 scoops that Stan scoops. Stan recently even made the bulbs larger after taking over from a colleague, because they were so small. Today 07.04.24 ; once again trying for a decent ice cream. Unfortunately. Same young man in the business. Scooping ice cream is not his strong suit. I entered the store clean and left covered in whipped cream, pants, shoes, hands...including their own display case and mat. It slides right off. The portions again super small. The other blond boy scooped ice cream and whipped cream for cakes. A scoop + the whipped cream was way more than those 2 cones of €8.00 from us. Everything is also so loose that you can hope that you don't end up like me. Same song yesterday. Up to 2 times, that shouldn't be possible. Is this young man there and not Stan? Then we turn around and go to Epen, Maasmechelen or Germany. Oh, eating ice cream before you leave for something? Not recommended if this gentleman is in it... you can then return home to change clothes because this young man's shoveling skills are so substandard that it is better to take spare clothes + shoes with you. This is a shame. This way you lose new regular customers who come to eat ice cream on average 2-3 times a week. It's also a shame that there are such differences in portions per staff member and friendliness. Shouldn't be. 😶

Cozy ice cream parlour. They serve a fantastically decorated cup of coffee. That's what you'll come back for.

Delicious meal at Chantal, good prices and nice staff.

Been to Eygelshoven and unfortunately not a good experience. The hot waffle is simply a frozen waffle that is heated up in the oven, and is completely tasteless. The hot chocolate was lukewarm. Prices are on the high side, service was very slow, even though there was hardly anyone in the shop. Shame!

Went to Eygelshoven today, but not really satisfied. Ordered 2 pancakes, 1 plain and 1 with hot cherries, then the employee comes to us to say that hot cherries are only available in season, while they were available 2 weeks ago. Speaking of seasonal. Then we ordered 2 regular pancakes, the employee came again, we no longer had any pancakes... We picked up take-out here once and ate here twice, but the waiting time is quite long, while the restaurant is almost empty.

What an asset in Voerendaal! You've come to the right place for a well-dressed cup of coffee with a delicious fresh homemade salad sandwich (you can taste it!). Furthermore, very delicious ice cream, wide range of chocolates and they also sell nice gifts to give or receive. Chantal is a super hostess, as are her employees! Please keep it up!

Had a cappuccino in Eygelshoven today, there was nothing wrong with the cappuccino, We enjoyed how an older blonde woman with short hair started a discussion with a male employee, which in our opinion made this male employee feel uncomfortable. This could be heard even in the seating area. Nothing to complain about at all about the other staff members, super helped by the very sweet other two ladies. We don't know yet whether we will enter here again when the older woman is present

I would like to respond to Hobby Horse's review. I don't think it's fair to my hard-working mother who does her best for her customers and her staff and to me. Very sorry that you heard our discussion. We are people too.

Lekker en ijs van zeer goede kwaliteit

Lekker ijs en heel vriendelijke bediening

Hier hebben ze echt heel lekker ijs. Onze kleinzoon weet dat ook al , hij krijgt dan ijshonger.

Heerlijk ijs, ruime keuze en zeer vriendelijke service. Je kunt zowel binnen als buiten plaatsnemen voor een lekker ijs, koffie, of kleine kaart. Alles wordt met liefde gemaakt. Een aanrader!

Al een aantal keren bij deze leuke gezellige ijssalon geweest. De zaak is goed onder handen genomen en ziet er mooi uit! Een lekker ijsje, heerlijke lunch of gewoon een kopje koffie/ thee alles is mogelijk. Goede service en kwalitatief goede producten voor de juiste prijs. En vergeet de heerlijke chocolade niet. Proeven mag! Je gaat gegarandeerd met een doosje chocolade de deur uit. Kortom: ben je in de buurt loop dan zeker eens binnen bij Bie Chantal 🌸

Tis van uit het noorden wel ver rijden om er even een ijsje te eten. Maar als je in de buurt bent raad ik echt aan om daar een ijsje te halen, reden omdat ze ze het ijs zelf maken. En je kan er ook terecht voor een lekker kopje koffie en ze bieden meer dan dan alleen koffie en ijs. Raad het zeker aan. 😃🍨☕

Wat een geweldige ijssalon! Er is naast een vitrine vol met zelf gemaakt ijs ook nog ander lekkers te krijgen. O.a. Limburgse vlaai, luxe broodjes en andere heerlijke warme/koude lunch gerechten. En dan mag ik zeker de bonbons niet vergeten..... Tip van mij. Bestel een lekker kopje koffie en trakteer jezelf op een (of twee) bonbonnetjes 😉👍 Jammie!

De aankleding v.d. salon is sfeervol, maar het buitenterras is verouderd en de tafels niet echt schoon. De stoelen zijn niet comfortabel. Tijdens ons bezoek ijscoupes en een wafel met warme kersen besteld. Het valt op, dat in alles de suiker overheerst, dus niet gezond! Zelfs in de wafel zit suiker, dus zijn wellicht niet zelf gebakken. Er worden zes (!) hele warme kersen bij geserveerd. Het ijs heeft wel zijn specifieke smaak, maar ook hier proef je de suiker doorheen. Ook in de noisette proef je alleen de suiker. De ijsvitrine oogt niet echt schoon en ook de prijzen staan niet in verhouding met hetgeen je geserveerd krijgt. Voor € 1,75 per bol zou je meer en beter kunnen verwachten. Genoeg ruimte voor verbetering dus!!

Zeer gastvrij, heerlijk terras en super ijs

Erg klein bolletje... totaal geen smaak aan het ijs. Dit bij diverse personen met verschillende soorten ijs.

Een mooie ijssalon met een prachtig terras. Het assortiment aam chocolade producten is,zeer ruim en lekker. De koffie smaakt er heerlijk en wordt verzorgd met een klein portie slagroom met likeur. De medewerker was heel erg vriendelijk, behulpzaam en gastvrij. Een top tent, daar fietsen we graag een stukje voor om!

Super leuk mensen en buiten het ijs en heerlijke chocolade hebben ze ook heerlijke gegrilde haantjes en meer van deze smakelijk heden echt geweldig tot in de puntjes verzorgd telkens weer
