Ate ice cream and drank cappuccino there. Everything is great. Service cannot be rushed, but is otherwise very nice and friendly.

We passed by here today as part of our bike tour over the Rhine dike. The Rhine ferry near Pannerden had a lunch break, so we decided to stop here at the IJssalon Clevers. The space on the terrace was wonderfully sunny. After a short time, the lady in service stood with us to take the order. Our choice fell on a table setting consisting of a latte macchiato, an ice cream sundae and a small liqueur. The price of 9.25 euros is unbeatably good. It was all delicious and lovely to sit in.

The weather is nice. It’s a good place to take a rest here, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, take a walk, and ride a bicycle.

Very tasty and creatively designed ice cream ideas. Great location, one point deducted for the prices of the individual ice cream scoops. Millingen is not a big city, but unfortunately the prices are at big city level.

Very tasty ice cream, with a direct view of the Rhine. I have rarely eaten such good ice cream. Service is very friendly but it sometimes takes a while to be served. But that's because this ice cream parlor is a destination for cyclists. The service speaks German, but the prices are completely reasonable. Really delicious!

Very nice place for a stopover during the bike ride, just after (or before) the ferry crossing. Very extensive ice cream menu, tasty coffee, somewhat reasonably priced. Friendly staff completes the picture. We were here on a quiet day, but I can imagine that it can be busy...

Super tasty and cozy as it is. It's not too busy. Fortunately, we live in the village so we avoid rush hours with all the cyclists. A bit on the pricey side. But it's also a party!

Very nice place in a great location! Cozy atmosphere and neat, but the speed of service there was impossible to achieve, there is absolutely no structure in the collaboration with the kitchen and serving, orders had to wait so long to be served that it had become cold again... Very unfortunate!

Always really tasty there. It is not a given that our Dutch neighbors speak German to us. Language is never a problem here. All the staff are really friendly.

It took a while, but then we got delicious apple pie with delicious whipped cream. The coffee with the delicious liqueur was a surprise!

Very extensive menu, delicious ice cream coupes. Friendly people in the service but not very fast. Super nice location on the water, good opportunity if you have to wait for the ferry.

The best ice cream ever and a beautiful view.

Difficult to reach. Especially if you have difficulty walking. Few parking spaces. You are easily run over by groups of cyclists on the narrow road. The venue is not disabled friendly. Thresholds and difficult to reach. Furthermore, poor accessibility to the toilet. You are looked away by waiting people who also want to sit outside on the terrace. We were asked 3 times while eating ice cream if we were leaving soon. Luckily the ice cream and coffee were very tasty!

This is really great fun, so many types of ice cream variations. And so nicely laid out. For big eaters but also for smaller eaters. For savory food, there is not much choice. A cozy place to sit, lots to see over the water, along the road...

Delicious ice cream, as usual at Clevers. Along a popular cycling route, so the average age is very high. Ordering via a QR code, that's what I call service! Then we can do it at our own pace. Nice view over the Rhine.

That was a bit of a letdown. Used to be a nice place where you could eat something (bouncers, omelettes and the like), with straw bale seats across the path and a very cool chef with great patience with difficult customers. And now... gone 'De Gelderse Poort'! But IJssalon Clevers can't do anything about that. What they can do something about is the confusing ice cream menu. All very hip, but a headache to make a choice. Coupes on the expensive side in my opinion. I suspect they will get away with it given the premium location with the ferry at their feet. Ultimately ended up with their, I think that's what they called it, 'double deal' offer. Well priced, tasty and therefore highly recommended. Service, as usual in the Netherlands, very friendly. Perhaps a slightly emotional review due to the unfulfilled expectations (I actually came there to have a bite to eat at a favorite place of ours), but in essence it is correct, I think.

You can enjoy it in peace and quiet without the overcrowded crowds that you experience at the Plasmolen branch. The only disadvantage is that parking can be a bit difficult when it is busier. Highly recommended!

This ice cream parlor is a total surprise. On top of the dike, which provides beautiful views. As a big fan of ice cream, I placed an order. Staff: a big 10, the ice cream: a big 10+. Clevers family: you have a new fan.

Very nicely located on the Rhine dam. Service and ice cream selection good. The only food they offered was toast and some kind of sausage in a dressing gown. Prices are rather moderate.

We have been coming to Clevers in Grubbenvorst from day 1... The new Clevers in Millingen a/d Rijn is truly a wonderful place2be. A refreshing place to rest during a bike ride. Inside it is beautifully decorated like a 1950s ice cream parlor and outside there is a large terrace...

The ice cream is delicious, creamy and not so sweet like American ice cream. The server brought what was ordered quickly and when we told her that we were going to share the order, she quickly brought us an extra spoon. After that wonderful dessert, the walk on the dyke was really nice on a nice cool afternoon.

Staff are friendly. The "combi"s are delicious; a coffee with chocolate, a liqueur with whipped cream and an ice cream cake. I myself had the "Heavenly mud", highly recommended!! Sometimes you have to wait a while, but when you get it on the table, it is delicious.

Been there a few times now, but the atmosphere is cold. Well, it's still an ice cream parlour😜 Service doesn't work well, unless you just order at the counter. Quality is otherwise fine, but not special.

Clevers has a very extensive ice cream menu that is really worth it. The cuts we chose were all very tasty. There is also very friendly staff who are happy to inform you about the menu.

Today the pancakes with warm raspberries and Nutella. Asked to do this separately so that the ice cream and whipped cream do not melt so quickly. Because everything is separate, you can put together any combination yourself and enjoy the flavors even more. So it's a lot of fun. Well worth the money.

We kwamen voor een lunch, het was nog te vroeg voor ijs, hoe lekker het bij jullie ook is! Er waren meer bezoekers die er zo over dachten. We wisten niet dat de Gelderse Poort, nu van Clevers is. Succes met de IJSKETEN !

Ontzettend lekker ijs. Je zou daar wel iedere dag een ijsje willen gaan eten. Aanrader is een combi.
