Confusing opening hours. We were there at lunchtime, but they only offered delivery. We relied on the opening hours on the website and found the doors closed. But it looked cozy. It's a shame.

I don't often leave reviews, but I had such a great meal here that I definitely felt it was worth it. We opted for the unlimited sushi option, and the sushi and bites were incredibly delicious. I've eaten here before, and we sometimes get takeout, and it's always delicious! I definitely recommend eating here! We were also very enthusiastically helped by (I think) the owner. She was very cheerful and friendly. I will definitely come back again.

Went here for dinner for the first time yesterday. Pleasantly surprised! Great service, delicious food, and great people-watching, all while sitting comfortably! Highly recommended :) We (the two of us) took the boat with 40 pieces. I'm a big eater, but I was quite full! Oh, and the cocktails were also very good.

Delicious food. The fish in the fish tank look happy and cheerful. Despite someone complaining about the size of the tank two weeks ago, as an aquarium expert, I can say the fish are doing great! Great place!

The atmosphere started setting right from the moment we made our reservation by phone. A very kind man was very warm and welcoming. We were immediately looking forward to it. And the evening itself absolutely did not disappoint. Delicious sushi, friendly and helpful service. Top-notch food and an even better atmosphere! 100% recommended!

Friendly (but inconvenient) service; our wait for food was over 40 minutes. The quality and taste of the food was mediocre—absolutely nothing special. I was there with two work colleagues—and they didn't allow separate payments! We had to accept one bill together. This is a one-time occurrence, and never again!

The food was good, but the aquarium in the dining room is unfortunately far too small for all those large fish. The fish are very stressed in it, and that's not pleasant to see. Please buy a larger aquarium.

Sushi was not popular. 32 pieces all tasted the same and heaps of rice. Also only 1 mini bag of wasabi and 1 soy sauce, but you can probably order that extra. Placed order for 7:00 PM - 7:15 PM but didn't arrive until 8:00 PM. I would have thought it would be nice if a phone call was made about the delay, for example...

Pretty impressed. Wasn't sure what to expect with sushi in the Netherlands but this was great! From the presentation to service ( cocktails pretty great too) - I will definitely go back.

Best sushi in Vlissingen and top service

Really a great case! I was greeted very kindly and was immediately asked with a smile if my coat could be accepted! Once we were seated it didn't take long at all before our order was requested, even when it was quite busy. Very friendly staff who always have a smile and always joke with you, but the food was also incredibly delicious! everything was freshly made and looked very good too. The music was also great and there was a very cheerful atmosphere, so ikigai is highly recommended!

I decided to visit this place because of the good rate in google. But after dinner there I realised that good reviews here are fake for sure!! Food: sushi are too little, not enough fish, sushi had different size and looked bad. Service: we were the only visitors (2 persons) and we ordered 4 rolls. We were waiting for it 40 minutes. It’s a bit too long…. Atmosphere: owner is Turkish as I understand so in this Japanese sushi restaurant we heard only Turkish music during more than one hour 😅Also it’s a very cold place, no heating, we had to wear our winter jackets back. And even hats! So it’s not a good idea to go there if it’s cold outside because inside the temperature was almost the same. Also be ready that all your clothes will smell like fried food because their condition system is not good too. So I don’t recommend this place

5/5 stars for Sushi Restaurant Ikigai! My girlfriend and I have been coming to Ikigai in Vlissingen several times a month for over 3 years, and every time it is a party. Whether we eat in the restaurant or have it delivered to our home, the quality is always great. The sushi is fresh, delicious, and in my opinion the best I've ever eaten - even outside of Vlissingen! The staff is always friendly and open for a nice chat, which makes the experience even better. And most importantly: I always go home with a well-filled belly. Definitely recommended for every sushi lover!

Hello, Placed an order for a sushi roll today that was delicious, but I also went for the poke bowls today. 15.50 for a poke bowl, you expect to get something for that price. Unfortunately it was a super dry bowl, I just had to swallow the 3 bites I took with a drink. I really don't think this is possible, there was no taste at all, the rice was too hard and sticky, the combination was not tasty. I would really like my money back for the poen bowls, no one ate it because it was simply inedible.

Chabby look ambience or rocky.... Hard to say but OK.... Service was friendly but rather slow. Unfortunately there are no pictures in the menu, which is also very clear in terms of selection. It's not enough for all you can eat. Even though the store was very empty, it took quite a long time. Ginger and wasabi are very rare, which I think is a shame. The sushi was OK but nothing special..... Unfortunately it wasn't an experience in terms of taste, just standard. The soup was warmed up in the microwave. The price-performance ratio was rather poor compared to, for example, Hokaido Bonn or Mikado Koblenz.

The sushi was tasty, but if you don't order a boat or something, you can only order whole rolls for €11 each. There are also no pictures on the menu so it is a surprise what you get. I was there last week, the attitude of the staff seemed disinterested.

Tasty sushi, very rude service. Don't feel like talking to customers or explaining anything. Finally, the boss leans menacingly over the counter to give an 'explanation'. Never again! There are better restaurants that know what customer friendliness means.

Had many different dishes, all delicious! The standouts: the Yakitori was nice and tender, the tuna firm and full of flavor, and the rice cooked perfectly every time. Very friendly staff too! We will definitely come back again!

Stopped there spontaneously to eat. Since it had just opened, we were able to choose a spot. Nice waiter who answered all of our questions. We then decided on a sandwich, sushi and a fish platter. Food was freshly prepared. All the food tasted very good so we ordered again to try other things. Price performance absolutely fine. Conclusion: nice atmosphere, nice waiters and good food. If we weren't here for vacation, we would definitely come more often

Restaurant met een zeer vriendelijk ontvangst en echt heerlijk eten. De sushi was echt fantastisch, een aanrader zie ook foto’s. Sushi is mooi opgediend en garnering is top. Dessert was ook heel goed gemaakt, ijs met rijstdeeg smaakte verrassend goed. De vele zeer positieve reviews op Google en op Facebook komen geheel overeen met onze ervaring. Bij TripAdvisor komt deze niet snel naar boven bij sushi restaurants, maar dit is onterecht. Dit restaurant verdient een hoge plaats, vanwege het eten en de bediening. Het uitzicht op de gebouwen is vanuit het terras dan iets minder, maar door de beleving en het heerlijke eten zie je dat niet meer.

Sushi roll- too much rice on the roll. Presentation looks good. Never tasted sushi with chilli sauce before. Beef teriyaki - dried and crusty on outside. Potatoes were great. Gyoza - served with oyster sauce. Tasted like frozen gyoza and normally gyoza serves with vinegar with chilli oil Sesame chicken is not bad but too salty

The thing I don’t like the most is the saving of ginger. I have never seen such a thing where one leaf goes for 2 portions of rolls. Although according to the rule, a portion should go to each roll. You should think about it, in my opinion it is not professional, it is too economical
