If you like Indian food, India Gate is the place to be. The food is always excellent and the ladies are always ready to help you with your choice if you are stuck with all the goodies. If the menu says it is spicy, then it is also spicy and not adapted to the Dutch standard.

Super tasty food and did not expect to eat kind a delicious meal. Tandoori chicken beryani was suppper delicious and it served in really good way and nice pot. Chicken butter has lots of Saffron, which is my favorite and I like it as well. The lady who welcomed us was so friendly. The vibes of restaurant and music are all just matched with food and Indian style. Definitely recommend and back soon.

Very friendly staff and clean place

Literally one of the best Indians I've ever had and that is really saying something. Was a true Indian restaurant, not a mix of Indonesian that you usually find in NL which was very refreshing. The price-quantity was excellent.

Ik was voor een afspraak in Nijmegen en besloot wat anders te gaan eten. Ik heb al jaren over dit restaurant gehoord,want het bestaat al 40 jaar ongeveer. Ik had als voorgerecht een mix kebab en als hoofdgerecht een Butter chicken heerlijk!

Heerlijk gegeten aanrader chicken chaat en Boti kebab als voorgerecht & als hoofdgerecht de Butter chicken en Rogan Josh. De lassi was ook erg lekker!

Almost everywhere I visit for more than couple of days I will search for Indian restaurants, India Gate have the best curry soup and chicken tikka I ever eaten. The three owners were very welcoming and the food was delicious… truly recommend Indian restaurant

I think I had dinner here with my girlfriend a few years ago. We couldn't remember the restaurant. Well, we had a nice meal then. After some drinks and strolling in Nijmegen we ended up here because we didn't feel like having a piece of satay with aceh and fries at a cafe Ordering was strange: there were only 4 chicken dishes on the menu, all mild curries. Then I asked if they also had lamb. There was an excuse, but that was there. Very hot vindaloo for me, softer for my girlfriend. The soda was at room temperature, so half a glass with ice. Our food appeared quickly. At the neighboring table, where I shouted that lamb vindaloo was for me. Other staff were present, and the ladies argued because the wrong number had been mentioned. Despite everything, the food was really tasty. The restaurant was already dated in terms of decor 15 years ago. The staff itself is quite nice in our opinion. The food is also quite affordable. And I love it...

India Gate may be the best Indian Restaurant in NL. We had Taj Mahal menu for 2 pp. Price was reasonable. Friendly service with big and delicious portions 😋

Zéér beperkte menukeuze, flink verhoogde prijzen bij aanzienlijk kleinere maaltijden. In het verleden mooie volle schaaltjes. Nu niet meer en zelfs de naanbroden zijn een stuk kleiner. Volgende keer toch even naar andere restaurants kijken.

I have been coming to this restaurant since the 90's and have always been very satisfied. Unfortunately this time we had to wait a really long time. The map has been thinned out considerably. I didn't see any more birianis or vinologist. We still had a little left and had to pay €1 for a bowl. Disappointed!

On Saturday evening I had dinner here with my girlfriend. We made a reservation in advance and were taken straight to our table upon arrival. The staff was incredibly friendly and the service was fast. The dishes were delicious. As a starter we chose the samosa and for the main course we went for the chicken madras and Shahi paneer, with a portion of rice and twice naan. We were stuffed with this and took some food home to enjoy later.

Heerlijk gegeten, vriendelijke bediening. Goed dat we gereserveerd hadden, restaurant zat vol. Dhansak pittig gekruid en de Murgh Dhania Makhani was voortreffelijk. We komen terug!

We ordered Thali for two people. A nice Indian variation on the rice table. The flavors were not exuberantly spiced. But it tasted good. However, we found the portions far too small. When we reported this, we were told that we should have ordered naan (read: bread) with it. And that no one had ever complained about it.

If you want to taste authentic Indian food outside India, this is the place to go in Nijmegen! Tip: order mid spicy and above (depending on your chilli tolerance level) to taste actual Indian flavours

Klein knus restaurantje met super vriendelijke bediening, om maar te zwijgen over de heerlijke Indische keuken. Werkelijk met liefde en aandacht bereid en dat proef je op alle vlakken terug. Beslist een aanrader dit restaurant!

The tandori is an experience in itself; yummy! Also so delicious; a crispy piece of 'toast' with seeds that you can then dip in 3 colorful sauces as an appetizer 🥰

Heerlijk eten! Echt authentieke smaken de koks roosteren en malen hen eigen kruiden. Blijft voor mij toch de beste in Nijmegen.

Vriendelijke amicale bediening, heerlijke curry's en fantastisch vers naanbrood. Ook de papadums vooraf waren lekker met verscheidene dips. Zeker een aanrader, ook als je wat minder tijd te besteden hebt.

I read some reviews - but not on here. So, we were hesitant when we went in. The other reviews must be of a different restaurant than tonight. The ladies taking orders and serving were very good and the food excellent. I eat a lot of curry and this is very good “Indian” food. Would we go again? Definitely.

Goed en lekker eten in een leuke ambiance.

Eten was erg goed en we hebben gesmuld. Echter was de service matig. Zorg ervoor dat je hier met goed gezelschap bent. Wij waren op een zaterdag en moesten gemiddeld 1.5 uur wachten per gang. Ook moet je rekening houden met assertief drinken bestellen. Op basis hiervan denk ik niet terugkom.

Van avond weer wezen eten bij mijn favoriete Indian Gate Molenstraat Nijmegen. Ik kom daar al meer dan 30 jaar en ik blijf er van genieten! Het is een echte aanrader om daar te gaan eten!

Altijd heerlijk eten! Authentiek Indiase curry's met veel zorg bereid. Soms best lang wachten tot het eten geserveerd word, en de porties zouden wat mij betreft iets groter mogen. Maar zeker een aanrader om lekker uit eten te gaan..Een echte smaakbeleving! Wel op tijd reserveren want ze zitten vrij snel vol.

De enige echte Indiër in town aanrader de Chaats overgoten met goddelijke sauzen en granaatappel net alsof je je in india waant! Wat ook een leuke weetje is ze werken met echte Indiase koks. In Nederland vind je meer Bengaalse koks die toch net wat anders zijn.....

Al meer dan 36 jaar geweldig Indiaas eten. Geserveerd door een fantastisch, gastvrije bediening. Laat je niet afschrikken door het iets wat gedateerde, maar keurig onderhouden interieur. Hier is het genieten.

Had three different curries with rice and garlic naan. Dishes were really flavorful, and the service was great. Will be going back!

Unfortunately, the food was not freshly cooked especially the Biryani. The staff were nice except one guy was looking at us the whole time we don't know why (even after we ordered). Therefore, we didn't feel much comfortable during our meal.

Amazing place!! All the dishes that we've ordered were all perfectly good, fresh, and very good quality. If you like shrimp definitely try Masala shrimp. Butter chicken is also amazing. Definitely recommend ! 이 곳 꼭 방문해보세요! 주문했던 모든 음식이 다 맛있었고 서비스도 좋았습니다. 네덜란드에서 최고의 인도음식을 가지고 있습니다:) 추천드립니다!

Beste plek voor Indiaas eten van Nijmegen. Het eten is er altijd lekker en de zussen altijd aardig!

AANRADER! Na een lange dag werken bij dit restaurant gegeten. Goede smaken en koks die koken met passie. Zeer vriendelijke bediening die mij uitstekend hebben geadviseerd. Ik kom hier zeer zeker een keer terug!

Weer ontzettend lekker gegeten! Daarnaast ook nog erg vriendelijke en gezellige service van de dames in het restaurant. Zeer tevreden.

Na lange tijd weer een keer hier terecht gekomen. We houden sowieso van de Indiaase keuken en zijn zo best bij wat restaurants geweest. India Gate is en blijft toch wel echt één van de beste. Het eten was weer als vanouds super lekker (zeer consistent) en de bediening was zoals altijd weer top! Al met al zeker een aanrader!!

Enorm lekker, reeds bij vele Indiaase restaurants gegeten (in: NL & UK), dit is een topper. Aanrader: Garlic Naan, Onion Bhajee, Chicken Tika Massaal etc. Kom hier absoluut nog een keer terug.

Als je dol bent op de curries die je in Groot Brittannië hebt gehad, dan is Inda Gate de enige echte die dit kan evenaren. Absolute topklasse. Ik zal er heel spoedig weer naar toe gaan.

Restaurants gesloten, dus besteld - via Butler. Dat bestellen bij Butler was een ramp, maar dat terzijde. Telefonisch contact gehad, en toen kwam alles gewoon in orde. Voorgerecht en maaltijd voor drie personen besteld, het werd op de afgesproken tijd en warm bezorgd en het was héérlijk. de voorgerechten waren een gok, maar een goede gok, we hebben gesmuld, zelfs mijn dochter die altijd heel kritisch is. En de curries... Zo super! Heel veel dank, ik kom nog eens terug (maar hopelijk niet via Butler, of die moeten nog wat verbeteren....)
