My favorite spot in Wageningen! The vibe, the people, and THE BREAD everything about this place is amazing. I have some precious memories here with my dad at this cozy bakery. If you have to choose (cause you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu), go for the focaccia or the soup.

I got a focaccia with tomato sauce and olive. It was tasty and I like the soft and chewy texture.

Very cosy Italian style bakery with fresh authentic products. You can taste the quality very easily. As a goodie who llived in Italy for five years, I can say the foccia is as good as in Italy! Super hard to find in NL. Staff are very friendly also with seating outside primarily

I rarely write reviews. But this is just exceptional. Amazing service, friendly people and delicious pizza. 😋. And yes, it might be 'expensive' but the pizzas are huge and you pay a bit more than dominoes but comparing dominoes pizzas to these pizzas is like comparing kfcs residue waste to a 5 star restaurant so i definitely not mind the extra euro you pay for these heavenly pizza slices. All in all, i highly recommend anyone to visit this place, whether you like pizza or not, they will make you love it.

Best pizza in town, seriously. I'm in awe. Make sure to try it sometime on a Thursday night! Also the bread, there is no other bread like Ivo's. 10/10 can recommend.

Great bread, focaccia and pizza

So, in Wageningen on Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings I go to Ivo. Why?? Because it is a focaccia of superlative quality: soft, fragrant and greased at the right point. The pizza is objectively non-Italian due to the choice of toppings and the lack of thickness but it is undeniably very good. Special mention to the girls who work there: to the nice Italian because she is my friend and to the Spanish girl because she has a bang.

Really good bread, the curly girl serving is always welcoming warmly, smiling and bringing the sun also during rainy and cloudy days. Must try the kolac.

top tier place for breakfast/lunch/coffee/a snack/all of the above. plus it happens to have the best bread in town, sourdough, artisanal, organic, you name it. plus the clerks and bakers are wonderful. sitting there feels like a hug. 16/10 would go every day

Getting lunch from Ivo has now become a weekly tradition. Lays a good foundation for construction work! Whatever is on the sandwich, it is produced locally as much as possible, with love and attention for the planet. Or made in house (egg salad, meatballs ❤️). Good simple filter coffee. I'm eagerly awaiting the pizza in 2023!

Wow I've always loved their bread and foccacia from the markets. Now a shop. There are 3 types of Foccacia. I bought 3 loaves of bread. It's absolutely divine. I'd eat their produce everyday 😋 🍞. They are baking specifically for Christmas. Put in your order!! 🎄

Before Ivo appeared on the scene I barely ate bread, now I get withdrawal symptoms without my weekly sourdough supply! Focaccias & kolac (Czech sweet pastry) are my personal faves, along with the rye. Have sampled both sandwiches & they are just soooo good, carefully thought out & overflowing with delicious fresh local produce - can't relate at all to one of the other reviews I saw on here! But each to their own of course. The end products are great in their own right, but it's the story behind them that really sets this place apart for me. Ingredients are sourced as much as possible from sustainable local food producers with the explicit aim of supporting them & building strong local food chains. Prices therefore reflect the real price of food rather than being distorted by crazy subsidies for industrial food & farming :). Can't recommend this place enough!

Had a cheese & onion focaccia the first time I went, was very impressed. Second time I went, I went for the BLT. The BLT has been my favourite sandwich for over 15 years. This BLT was alright, but there is much room for improvement, especially at the current price. Untoasted bread with a decent amount of mayo is a recipe for sogginess, though enough mayo is imperative for a good BLT. The bacon is pre fried, giving this a slightly below subway assembly experience, as Subway will toast the bread for you. Not to mention I believe the bacon used was one of the cheapest available at the Hoogvliet, which would be such a waste to put on such nice bread. All in all, this is a bakery trying to be a sandwicherie and not the other way round. It is definitely worth a try though, as the bread was outstanding as well as the focaccia. Toasting the bread and using better bacon would astronomically increase the quality and ordering experience of their BLT.
