We have been coming here for 6 years, sometimes twice a week, but have pointed out so many times that they don't need to bring a small dish every time; that way, you eat very little in 2.5 hours. That is why last Sunday was my last time. I had already ordered 15 rounds, but what I ordered just wouldn't arrive. An hour later, we had only received 5 dishes. We pointed out three times if we couldn't get more dishes, and they said they worked on it. Yeah, yeah. This has happened to us so often now that we have said we are not going back here anymore. On top of that, they have lost another two regular customers. That is why I advise everyone to experience it for themselves, but I hereby do not recommend this restaurant.

Last Saturday, we went to eat at Izumi, founded in Helmond. The food was uniquely delicious and incomparable to other Asian restaurants. The sushi had fresh ingredients and was even prepared on the spot at the sushi bar. The service was top-notch; we walked in and were able to take a seat at our table immediately. Despite the heatwave, we still had a lovely meal. Highly recommended for those with a passion for Asian cuisine.

We went here for sushi, but unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We had to wait almost 2 hours for our sushi. Because it took so long, we eventually decided to eat from the grill, as that actually arrived faster. The most frustrating part was that when we were already on our way to dessert, all the sushi was suddenly brought out after all. At that point, of course, it was no use to us anymore. Additionally, it was very hot and unpleasant inside. The staff indicated that they would help and be considerate of us, but we saw very little evidence of that. All in all, the service was very disappointing, and we would not be returning here anytime soon.

We ate there on May 11th, Mother's Day, and ordered three times without receiving any food. At one point, something arrived at the table, but it wasn't what we had ordered. We were yelled at by the blonde lady Granka, who calls herself "manager"—it wasn't her problem at all... I tried to have a conversation with the owner, but that was handled by an employee, while Franka yelled in between for him to hurry up because there was work to be done. I have never been treated so rudely and I will never go there again. The quality of whatever we did eventually get to eat was good. What a terrible place. 🤮🤮 We spoke to Franka about the food not arriving, and she went to look into it. Of the 20 items we had ordered, we received 7 at the table after she had checked. The second time, we walked to the bar to say that the food hadn't been brought again. Yes, the receipt hadn't come in, and we were told to just order again, and Franka would make sure it was sorted out immediately. Unfortunately, the food we had ordered did not arrive at the table the third time either. We reported this to Franka, and then all hell broke loose. We were told we had to go to the owner, whom we actually had to find ourselves, because it was not her job to resolve the matter and she absolutely refused to fetch him for us. She had no time, and during the conversation, she simply walked over without offering a solution. After half an hour, we walked to the counter to speak to the owner, who refused to speak to us and wanted a staff member to handle the matter at the bar, while your “manager” started shouting in between that he had to hurry up because there was work to be done. To which we replied that she was being very rude and that we just wanted to resolve the matter. At that point, she waved us away; “Go away, go away,” she said before we could do anything. We pointed this out to the staff member who was supposed to speak to us and indicated that if he didn't do anything about it, we would leave, because we will not let ourselves be treated so rudely. Unfortunately for your company, your staff did nothing to resolve the matter, and we were sent away by your staff without being able to pay the bill. We even called and emailed to follow up to resolve it, but heard nothing back. And now you are asking if we want to pay for this rude, idiotic behavior?? How rude can you be? By all means, be "very" happy with a "manager" who will ruin your company. Perhaps a little self-reflection wouldn't hurt, and read the reviews written about your branch...

We went here for dinner with my husband and little daughter, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. My husband is a chef himself and quite critical, but I really agree with him here; it was truly substandard. The food did not taste fresh at all. Many dishes looked like they were from the day before: tough, cold, and tasteless. Moreover, the fried food was completely soaked in grease, making it barely edible. Everything felt ready-made rather than freshly prepared. There was nothing artisanal about it. I would rather go to McDonald's. It is a real shame, because we had expected more. Unfortunately, we won't be going back a second time.

We were spontaneously looking for a place to eat dinner and ended up here by chance. All in all, it was a very good choice. The food was delicious, and there was a fantastic selection. Whether you're a vegetarian, a meat lover, or just want dessert, there was something for everyone. Simply delicious. They also offer exotic options like kangaroo meat. You order via your own mobile phone. The food arrived quickly, and the staff were very friendly. As for the ambiance: clean, tidy, and quite simple. At €34.90, the set menu wasn't exactly a bargain, but considering the selection and quantity, it was justified. We'll be back.

The choice of 0.0% beer was very limited. All drinks were placed at the end of the table and not served. If 3 people ordered the same thing, everything was just thrown together on a small plate or bowl. Ordering only via a QR code instead of using a tablet. I recently went to eat at Izumi Helmond, but unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. The drinks took an incredibly long time to arrive, sometimes as long as 45 minutes to an hour, which is truly unacceptable. The sushi also seemed to have been sitting ready for a long time before it reached us, making it feel unfresh. The food itself was very mediocre. The meat, in particular, was disappointing: it was tough, looked old, and was not fresh at all. Additionally, the service was very poor. The staff seemed uninterested, and we had to ask multiple times to be served. The toilets were also dirty. It was so unhygienic that I eventually had to ask if I could clean it myself, which really shouldn't be necessary. All in all, a very disappointing experience and certainly not one we would return to.

Eating here with a large group is not recommended. It was very disorganized. We simply didn't receive some dishes. Some dishes took 2 hours to arrive. Cocktails also arrived 2 hours after ordering. We received dishes we hadn't ordered. And while we were having dessert, sushi was placed on the table. This should be better organized. Or if they can't handle it, they should refuse large groups. The food was tasty, though. So maybe it's fine for a small party.

Terrible! We normally always go to the Izumi in Weert. However, we thought we'd try a different one since we were in the neighborhood. For the most part, food was served incorrectly or didn't arrive. We had been sitting there for an hour before our first round finally arrived, along with the drinks we had ordered immediately upon entering. Much of the food that arrived late was cold or lukewarm. If you are missing an item, they track it down for you, only for you to still hear nothing about it after an hour. Eventually, we stopped after the 2nd round because time was almost up. Fortunately, we weren't the only ones. People behind us, next to us, and people at other tables had also left early due to the long wait, incorrect delivery, or items not arriving. I have never heard so many people complain or seen them walk away. Izumi Helmond, never again for us.

We ate at Izumi again yesterday. No complaints about the food, and the staff is very friendly too. However, the whole evening was a bit chaotic. The entire restaurant was full, and you can tell that not everything runs smoothly. Staff bringing orders to the tables regularly lose the slip indicating which table the ordered item is supposed to be delivered to. The result is that they take it back, or as usually happens, they just put it on a random table. Everything was also delayed. During the last round, we were still being served dishes from previous ordering rounds. We never received some dishes. Looking back at the history didn't work. After the first round, I just started taking screenshots of the order. Something that many people around us also complained about was that the empty bowls, etc., were not cleared away. The table for two people is small. If there are 10-15 empty trays on top of that, it gets really cramped. I would love to come back here, because the food is good, but the entire delivery system really needs an overhaul!

Worst night ever, they constantly forget drink dishes. You wait 30 minutes after asking for service multiple times. Every time you order a drink, you get your drink. You ask for something as simple as a spoon. You wait 15 minutes and your ice cream has already melted. The service is truly awful. Izumi Venlo is 100x better when it comes to food. I haven't eaten this badly in years as I have here in Helmond at Izumi; normally we always go to Izumi in Venlo. Trying it in Helmond for a change…. Dramatic, (not even worth 1 star)!!!! The food took so long! Even though it wasn't busy, A lot of food never arrived! The sushi I paid for, which I paid extra for, never arrived. Eventually I asked 3 staff members what was wrong, but every time they went to check and came back with no news. Finally I asked for the bill and pointed out how dramatically bad it was. And they came up with a discount of €3.50? Hahaha!!! This place is really -5 The food was really cold too, and then they dare to charge €71.00 for 2 people? I will never set foot in this place again!

On Christmas Eve, I went to Izumi at the invitation of my in-laws. What a disappointment. After an hour and a half, the first round of five dishes still hadn't been served, and the dishes for the group came out of the kitchen separately and in a disorganized manner. Drinks and food were served on one side of the table, leaving us, as guests, to share them. Notifying and addressing the (managerial) staff offered little relief. Furthermore, the takeout service was incredibly busy, and in my opinion, the diners in the restaurant suffered from the chaos and understaffing caused by the parallel orders. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't outstanding either, but personally, I won't be dining there again. I felt very disappointed for my in-laws, who had been looking forward to this family gathering, which ultimately turned out to be a stressful experience due to poor organization and communication.

We had a delicious meal and really enjoyed the dishes, but the order flow is incredibly poor. Nothing was served for 30 minutes, and then suddenly a whole round of food arrived at once. We also had dishes from other tables served four times, and the waitstaff even managed to serve another dish from another table while we were paying. This planning and coordination could be improved.

Delicious again! We had dinner at your place last week, and I'd like to give a special compliment to one waitress. She was super friendly and polite, very helpful. My daughter even had a few questions, and she answered them all. It was amazing how she even took the time to talk to the guests even though it was incredibly busy. I asked her, and her name was Romy. I didn't want to let the compliments pass her by! She's fantastic! She makes the restaurant much more pleasant at busy times! ❤️

The food is great; all Izumi franchises have good food. But... We arrived around 12:00, right at opening time. It turned out they weren't ready yet... a few people were still clearing tables, so we hesitated to go in, even though we had reservations for that time. As soon as we got inside, a woman approached us. She wasn't friendly, probably in a bad mood because they had just opened. We asked for a different table near the window, where all the chairs and tables were free! But she said no... and when we went to pay, she wasn't friendly either. I assume she's the owner, because she seems to have a higher standard than the others. So we won't be going back... I wish she'd just greeted us in a normal, friendly manner.

We think it's the best sushi restaurant in Helmond. Fast service, once you order, everything is on the table within 10 minutes. Large selection of sushi. The sushi is of good quality, and the selection of hot dishes is also extensive. And everything is delicious. We regularly eat there with our family. Parking is quite easy (paid parking). Weekdays until 7 pm and weekends until 5 pm. You can order using your phone or get a tablet from them; everything is clearly indicated in the app.

It's fine for stuffing yourself. The maki, for example, was completely limp and tough. There were chunks of (water) ice in the ice cream. There was an eyelash in the macaron. Almost all the crème brûlée cups were broken off. The spoons were thrown on the table with fingerprints still on them. Shall I continue? The staff is young and clearly untrained. Perhaps I'm expecting too much from an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. The dishes are shoved onto the table, and there's no personal attention for the guests. No eye contact. When we got our (wine) glasses, the waiter grabbed them by the top with his whole hand and slammed them on the table. He did the same with the soda bottles. The cola glass had his fingers INSIDE it. I said, "I've noticed how you're holding and handing me the glasses... I don't like that." To which he replied, "I have clean hands, you know." To which I replied, "But I don't know that, do I?" He gave me a deep sigh and a click of his tongue, and then he was gone. I was left, stunned, with dirty glasses (without wine). When I tried to tell an older woman behind the bar, I saw her putting all the clean glasses away. Perhaps he'd learned this from her. I certainly won't be coming back here again.

We went to Izumi for dinner today. It's usually always good, and no one complains about leftovers. But today, while paying, a young man with a book came up to us and, after talking loudly, made everyone hear us say we had to pay extra. We clearly stated we were going to pay, but the young man was very rude. Sorry, I won't be back!

The food was really good, but that's about it. No atmosphere, no candles lit, just cold and uninviting. Tables are so close together that you're forced to listen in on what's happening next door. Our table felt more like a glass storage area than a place to eat sushi. A shame; if the experience had been as good as the food, it would have been fantastic. Not so now.

Very good sushi, and the salmon sashimi is included at no extra charge. It's a bit of a shame that you still have to use your phone to order your food when you're with other people, but the atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly.

Ordered via the app (qr), food followed quickly and was delicious. The very young service (for bringing the food and collecting empty plates) says (almost) nothing.. Except for one young lady, she was very friendly and came across as sincere. The atmosphere, that was not there. Didn't get the impression that people come here to eat together, but mainly to eat a lot.. Very unsociable and impersonal, but if you don't need that and just want to eat, it's fine..

Ate more often, great, now together with a diet guest. He did not receive any of his orders for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Logistics problem? After 2 reports, the manager was called in. After this everything was served in one go 🥴 Pay for everything, including no compensation for drinks. “We would have had everything anyway.”, was the answer. This company can/must still learn a lot in dealing with guests, see several reviews regarding handling.

Review February 2024: Dinner at izumi: Good food, quick service and a nice ambiance, also very nice that you are not sitting on one with other tables, I hate it when someone else is sniffing at your plate... somewhat private dining is nice! Worth repeating! ‼️review March 2025‼️ Lunch at izumi: We made a reservation at 12 noon, when the place just opened! On arrival we were not warmly welcomed because they were not ready yet and we were ordered to sit on the bench at the front door, staff still had to come in and a number of employees first smoked a cigarette and drank coffee at the front door, not very convenient I thought because the air was drawn in. I was able to turn around because I hate being ignored, nothing, no good afternoon or take us to our table and offer us drinks? That would have been a neat solution! Since my daughter really wanted sushi, I kept calm and bit my tongue! My advice is, make sure everyone is ready at 12 noon since the place is open at that time and especially since you knew there was a reservation at 12 noon or make sure that you can only reserve a table from 12:30 so that you always have a margin of 30 minutes to start your day. And be friendly to your customers, from chef to waiter to dishwashing help, just everyone on the staff, because after all you work in the hospitality industry??, you want to keep your paying customers, right? otherwise you will lose them! And what does kindness cost? Nothing at all! service and atmosphere from 4 stars to 1 star, unfortunately. Hopefully this constructive criticism will improve things in the future! Last night we had a delicious meal at Izumi with 3 adults and 2 children. The dishes are very diverse and there is more than enough variety for everyone. They all have one thing in common: They are deliciously prepared! Even one of our grandsons with a gluten and lactose allergy was more than satisfied. We sat at the back of the restaurant and that is a lot more atmospheric than at the front and in the middle section. That has a cold businesslike appearance. The only point of criticism is the very limited choice of non-alcoholic beers. I would say: "Put a 0.0 Brand Weizen on the menu, or a Nilis Trappist!"

I have sent you a nice email twice before, but that email is not easy as you are not very generous with contact details. Anyway, so no response to my email twice, so here it is. The food, and I mean the meat in particular, was cold, without exception cold. That's a shame, when I ask why and I don't get a response, you've dismissed me and it looks like a restaurant factory with a calculated waste/failure percentage and doesn't have any of it. Customer, what can we do better? We will stick to Chalet Couvert in Aarle-Rixtel from now on. There the customer is king and the staff knows how to do things, they walk around smiling and there is always management who supports them and the customer. Pity, IZUMI

Went here a couple of times for the all you can eat concept. It's pretty okay all and all. There's great variety in sushi and some interesting flavours to try which i don't see at competition perse. Also some products are added without more costs, where other also ask for more money f.e. on Salmon Shasimi. However i am not that confident about all the quality. Especially the beef to me looked quite doubtful in multiple dishes. Not to say it's to make you sick, but it just looks cheaper and handled with little care. The sushi isn't that consistent, neither the portions or cuts. All in all it feels a bit rushed. Price/Quality some might say, which is fair. The variety is great, the speeds was quite insane and the errors of missing portions were little. Also the pricing for the kids(older then 4) is fair and way better then at their local competition. Last time though the things felt a bit too rushed, which was on a thursday evening, so.. why?? Maybe the time slots could be a bit bigger to give some breathing space too allow a bit more concern on the consistency. Next time we will give a competitor another shot. But sure we will be back eventually.

I have been to Izumi in Weert before and it was great! Now that I've come here, I immediately want to go back to Weert... I had 3 pieces of sushi in 2.5 hours and just had to pay the entire bill. The service was very poor and if you said something about it they did nothing.
