2026:update. A year later and the food, service and experience is still excellent. Same music tracks playing! Hits that I enjoy, so OK with that but what does it mean? Great cafe open late at night and good for a snack during the day.

The perfect place. Nice, unique spot with the friendliest staff. Good beer selection and tasty snacks.

A lovely traditional pub. You don't find many like that anymore. Delicious homemade pastries! Be sure to stop by for a drink if you're in the area. Friendly service. The price-quality ratio is good here 👍🏻

Reserve a spot in the restaurant; they offer more surprising flavors. Sometimes there isn't an empty table, but you're always welcome to join us and share a table. A very cozy atmosphere.

We've had a few beers with family. Great selection, reasonable prices, and a pleasant atmosphere. Parents with little ones also come here during the day, but it's also quite civilized in the evenings. You can order snacks at the bar, and their restaurant is next door. We haven't eaten there yet, but I'm sure it's excellent. There are always customers, even outside on the sidewalk. We love coming here 😀

We sat down for a coffee and a bite to eat after a walk around the city, everything was perfect, as was the service! We sat outside, but inside the shop is very beautiful and sets you up for something good! Of course everything is spotlessly clean inside and out and of course a perfect choice to sit and have a drink.

Last night was my husband's birthday and you were so sweet to arrange a piece of cake for him. That made the party complete! So thoughtful! What I also like: I recently entered a cozy, full tent. I walked to the bar and told them what I wanted to drink and said: "I belong to that group". You said, "I already know that." How cool that you see all that. It makes me feel seen and that's great. And what I also really like is that you are not only a nice pub, but also organize more things such as discussion groups, bands that come to play or choirs that can perform. Many thanks! Wat een gezellige plek. Niet op de 1e plaats door het warme interieur, maar vooral door de bediening. Kordaat maar ontwapenend, bijna vriendschappelijk. Kom ik niet vaak meer tegen, de laatste tijd. Een extra vermelding krijgt de muziek. Het hele ouvre van De Beatles werd op gepaste geluissterkte gespeeld. Zeer aangenaam. Vergeet ik bijna te vermelden dat de huisgemaakte GEHAKTBAL met brood en bijlage méér dan goed smaakte. Kortom..een plek om te onthouden.

Had a really wonderful evening. They just have a new card that we really like. Price quality is top. The main thing that makes it a great place is the staff. Very friendly and service is top priority. Highly recommended!

Heerlijk eten, lekkere variatie en bijzondere smaken. Met een uiteenlopend gezelschap van uitgesproken carnivoren tot veganisten was er voor eenieder een goede keuze te maken en waren we allemaal heel voldaan.

Top cafe. Nice atmosphere and tasty beers. It's just a shame that there are no bitterballen and other brown fruit on the menu. But nevertheless it remains one of our regular bars in Amersfoort 😀

Ik was een jaar of wat niet bij Van Zanten geweest. Nieuwe chef, nieuwe kaart. Ontzettend lekker gegeten. Verrassende gerechten, verfijnde smaak, mooi opgediend. Ruime keuze qua vegetarisch. De bediening was een verademing. Snel, aardig en attent. We hebben genoten!

It is not without reason that it is a well-known café in Amersfoort! Cozy, cozy atmosphere, 11 beers on tap and many more in bottles, great service. Been there a few times and a few times it was too full to get in.

Vriendelijke bediening, ik voelde me meteen thuis. We kwamen voor de ‘kroegburger’ die ook in het bijbehorende café (Kafé van Zanten) geserveerd wordt. Prima keuze: dikke sappige rundvleesburger (nog rosé) met knapperig rookspek en gesmolten cheddar op een lekker broodje, daarbij gekruide dunne frietjes, 2 sausjes en een kommetje met een frisse salade. Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Unfortunately they don't have a chip shop, but they have a lot of tasty beers and a very good atmosphere in the pub

This is a review specifically for the pub section. One of the nicest pubs in Amersfoort for years. Nice atmosphere, young and old mixed together. Sweet idea: staff always friendly and service-oriented. However, it can sometimes be very busy.

Cozy pub for a drink and a game!

I think it was good... I think... I don't remember much about this evening so it must be good!

You don't expect it right away, but here you eat at a high culinary level: the chefs have put beautiful dishes on the menu, surprising, balanced and very refined! Delicious flavor combinations in the dishes. Not too large portions so that you leave satisfied instead of full. Was my third time here and again enjoyed Haddock and (girlfriend's) cooked Sukade, which I ordered last time. Attractive restaurant with friendly service and a nice wine list.

Mijn favo restaurant in Amersfoort: als belangrijkste het heerlijke eten; dat geldt zelfs voor alle bijgerechtjes. Leuke kaart met bijzondere, overwegend vegagerechten. Ook erg fijn: de ongedwongen, gezellige sfeer en goede bediening. Én ze draaien Radiohead 👍🏻😀
