⭐ Rating: 2.5 / 5 I recently visited Kebaya Asian Brasserie after hearing mixed opinions, and unfortunately, my experience leaned toward the disappointing side. At first glance, the place looks quite nice — clean, neat, and well-maintained. Presentation-wise, the food also looked appealing and hygienic. However, the taste didn’t live up to the appearance. My dish arrived cold, and honestly, I don’t know who would enjoy eating cold rice and veggies that were supposed to be served warm. The rice was sticky, and although the vegetables on top had a decent flavor, the overall dish just didn’t work for me. Another downside was the service experience. The staff member at the counter wasn’t particularly friendly or welcoming. Interestingly, I did notice another staff member being quite polite and attentive to other customers, so it might depend on who you interact with. For the price point, I expected much better flavor and service. It’s definitely on the expensive side for what you get. While the place seems hygienic and well-kept, the food and customer experience didn’t justify the cost.

The egg in the ramen was incredibly sour. I've never had eggs like this anywhere in the world. They say it's pickled eggs, but I spat it out as soon as I ate it, but my mother started vomiting as soon as she got on the plane. When I complained, the server said I was the only one who had complained that evening and never came back. Another male server apologized on my behalf and didn't charge me, but my mother got sick with food poisoning on the plane. After I complained, the person eating next to me said the same thing, and only then did they say they were checking with the kitchen.

Whilst waiting for our flight, we had a late lunch at Kebaya. A lovely eatery and well worth a visit for some asain cuisine. Staff were all so friendly and helpful! Took time to explain how to order etc then took our meal and drinks order. A good variety of dishes and drinks on the menu to suit all tastes. Fast service for food and drinks. A lovely lunch and would recommend a visit.

Food was quite tasty, but portion is rather small for the price you paid. Well it's airport food so you can kind of expect the price, but giving just a bit more food/rice won't cost you that much also. I am quite small myself and I am also not a big eater, but I was still hungry finishing the meal. Service was not the nicest. My table was not properly cleaned or set up. I can still see pieces of food visibly on the table. When food was given to me, there was no napkin or cutlery accompanied. There was also none on my table. I had to get them myself elsewhere... Not once the waiter/waitress came over to check if everything was okay also. Probably one of the nice ones at the airport, but for the price you paid, it should have been way better, and it also costs the restaurant almost nothing just to give more rice in the pokebowl and set up tables properly in the future. Would I be coming back? Maybe not, unless there is no better option.

We’ve come here many times before. We arrived early in the morning so they did not have sushi available. The place next door did. My kids and I were going to order from Kebaya while my wife would eat the takeout sushi. They would not allow her to eat inside with us even though the rest of us ordered from the restaurant. I am all about rules, however, not when they make no sense. I get not allowing people to bring other food in if they are just trying to find a spot. But the rest of us were literally ordering from their restaurant. Always recommended this place in the past, never again.

The breakfast menu is available until 11 a.m., with three inexpensive dishes; otherwise, it's more expensive (typical for airports). I found the vegetarian noodles very tasty; the portions were modest but carefully selected. You order from a tray, and then the drinks arrived incorrectly. I had a terrific experience at Kebaya on a not-busy Saturday morning. Service was quick and friendly. The quirky colorful modern decor is fun without being annoying. My ramen bowl was plenty large and filled with the usual goodness. Let’s be honest, food options at Schiphol are awful. Their current highest Google rated restaurant is a cheese store that is not even a restaurant. For me Kebaya easily wins my vote for the most delightful enjoyable cuisine between flights.

Terrible experience! This restaurant sells Asian food but is very unfriendly to Asians! We ordered a vegetarian ramen and did not ask for takeout. Then the lady gave me a paper bowl of noodles, so we sat down at a table in the restaurant. But another very unfriendly female waitress said we could not sit here because we took out food??? She told us to sit at the bar, but when we moved our seats to the bar, she drove us away to another corner of the bar, and we could not sit anywhere else in the restaurant! I was so angry! We did not say anything about taking out food from the beginning to the end, I just thought this restaurant used paper bowls because of environmental protection requirements. When we tried to communicate with the waitress, another male customer indiscriminately blamed us for not following the rules of their country, I must say, this is totally racial discrimination! At last we had to eat this terrible bowl of ramen on a chair in front of the boarding gate.

Was afraid to "park" here for a breakfast seeing 3.5 stars, but actually everything was good: comfy seats, great food (gyoza, miso ramen soup work pork, crispy duck, etc.), decent portions. Google: No! This is not a "fake review", stop removing my reviews! I've been here many times, before I attempted to post this review, and several times since then! I used to sit here almost every time when I take a flight somewhere and if I have time. Yes, the service isn't that fast as in McDonald's, but c'mon, the food here is much better! And yes, the prices here are biting quite painfully, but this is the airport, here you always pay x2 from the normal restaurant price.

As you’d expect in an airport everything was overpriced. But this was strange, it would cost you the same for like 8 pieces of sushi as it would for a big bowl of ramen. My friend had to wait until I was almost done with my ramen (and I did wait a while before starting) before he got his gyoza. All the ordering is done digitally so you can’t ask for things without certain parts of the dish. You have to pick them out which seems wasteful. (I’m aware I’m a fussy eater and this is a me problem) The serving staff were very friendly though, I imagine the delay in food was somewhere else in the chain of command.

Frequently use AMS as a layover hub to get to other European countries, and wanted to try a new restaurant this time. Walked good 10 mins and never expected to have the worst service I've had so far. Ariana the female waiter yelled out “omg” when I said my legs are too tired to sit in a high chair and would like to sit at a table in the next section. It was all empty and they were declining to seat me there. Maybe it's her lack of English that came off very offensive and rude. Talked to the manager that I'd rather wait than to sit on a high chair and I had to wait until someone got out. I get seated, and about 10 mins into sitting I turn around to find out they have opened the left section that I asked for. Honestly don’t understand what kind of principle they run the place on, but I know I'll never come back since food is not worth the worst service you can expect. Food was meh.

Ordered a salmon roll, and although there was a sushi chef at the bar and the restaurant was not busy, they served a pre prepared roll, with rice way too cold and no better than a supermarket roll. Quiet, nice looking place if you are looking to stop for a drink , but nothing more . Truly disappointed.

Went in at 11am on a Monday for a bite to eat, not at all busy, between the waitress coming to see me the first time and the second time was easily 25 minutes. They have some BS QR code menu to order off of and pay for in one go, honestly just an excuse for **** service. It was dead in there and didn't see my waitress more than twice in an hour. I digress, onto the food, I ordered a wine, har kau dumplings and the miso ramen. The dumplings were puny, the size of a protein ball, I've had good dim sum before, and these had zero flavor or texture. The Ramen was dogwater, I've had more flavor in a broth in a Campbell's chicken stock container. The vegetables weren't even cooked or flavored, they were still cold as if they'd been thrown into the broth right before they served it to me. The meat had zero flavor, honestly looked like sliced bacon. I feel like my intelligence has been insulted eating here. I'm not a dim sum or ramen connoisseur by any means, but holy **** I feel ripped off paying 40 euro for this absolute dog meal. I've had more flavor in a kraft slice of processed cheese. Avoid at all costs.

This was probably the worst food I’ve ever had in my life. While the restaurant has a nice ambiance and is a pleasant place to sit, the quality of the food and the taste were absolutely terrible. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the busy airport then I would highly recommend taking a seat in Kebaya and enjoy a meal. The atmosphere is chilled with just a nice level of chilled music in the background. Cosy lighting and comfy enough seating helps you relax. The staff are very polite and patient and more than happy to help. As the for the food, I enjoyed the satay chicken with a nice cold beer on the side. Very tasty! When I asked if they did desserts they apologised that they did not but swiftly brought me a little bowl of some select chocolates. Not the cheapest of places to eat in the airport but you really get what you pay for.

Salmon teriyaki died for nothing. Bland. Boiled rice is all glued (nope, it's not a Thai sticky rice). One star goes to veggies - they aren't overcooked. Ate the dish just because there's nothing worse than KLM sandwiches.

This is my go to when travelling through Schipol. Food has always been excellent! Tuna Poke bowl awesome value too but all good...The service has been mixed - it's a busy airport so probably have high staff turnover??Maybe that why? Sometimes they don't seem to know what they are doing...BUT the food is lovely and I will be back 😊.

Don't know why this place has such bad reviews, I always go when im in this airport - try the crispy duck, always look forward to this at the end of a trip to Amsterdam. Yes it's pricey, but it's an airport and the food is tasty!

If I could give 0 stars I would. The service is the worst service I’ve experienced- staff blatantly ignore you and unhelpful. I ended up leaving due to the lack of service- I relocated to another restaurant and I noticed other customers followed. Terrible experience. As a frequent Schiphol visitor I’ll avoid this place every trip. Spare yourself the time and go elsewhere.

First time I have visited since Covid. Very disappointing and expensive. Out of the three things I ordered I go one, the other two I had to chase each other dish. The food was not good, the ramen had zero flavour and €13 euro extra for 5 small thin strips of tasteless pork belly strips! The Goza again lacked flavour, the filling was had very little texture and the Goza casing was very thick. Will not be returning and I would recommend visiting another establishment.

As a regular customer who flies several times a month, I have been coming here early in the morning for years. Now we had to sit in a special place at the front so that other people can see us to attract more customers. Lines of long people crammed between a wall and a cash register... The nice places have to remain empty until 10 a.m.😂😂 what a waste of turnover... after years of excellent service, we are now forced to go to 'the bubble bar' where you can eat and drink from 7 a.m. The manager was not available because it was his day off. last cents you received from us. With your new rules...
