King Falafel, in the heart of The Hague, is truly the king of the place for a quick, tasty vegetarian lunch. The falafel is freshly baked and served in a thick pita, with a generous selection of toppings and sauces. Their baked potato (kumpir) is also very filling and deliciously creamy. Inside, it's compact with high stools, but takeaway is ideal. Friendly, fast service, and all for a very reasonable price of around €5-7. Highly recommended!

An INSTITUTION in The Hague!!! They’ve been here forever and you know it’s legit when there are only two items on the menu: kumpir or falafel. Why change what’s already perfect?! I love picking out my own falafel fillings and the kumpirs are always fluffy, creamy, buttery, and cheesy. They fry the falafel fresh and mix the kumpir on the spot. Never change, King Falafel 💗

A must for falafel aficionados. They are king for a reason. Great service and amazing food. The pita is freshly baked and sturdy. There are generous portions of falafels and you add the rest yourself from their self serve food area. 7,50 for the falafel on a pita. Yes they do have a baked potato on the menu but that is a story for another day. It is the falafel we care about. 😀 For fixings there are dispensers for tahini or garlic sauce or both. Put as much or as little as you please. Pickled veggies and cucumbers, peppers, cabbage etc. Other garnish available. This place is conveniently located just off the Grote Markt plaza and tables, so if you don’t want to squish yourself inside in the limited seating area, go there and sit. The convenient thing is that the whole place is opened up to the street making it feel like a corner hot dog stand rather than a sit down restaurant. That means you can literally do a walk by for your lunch and continue your shopping 5-10 minutes later.

I would like to express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to your facility. I have always been a fan of your food, but unfortunately this time I had a very negative experience with one of the staff members. During my visit, I asked for the names of certain sauces to determine which ones I wanted with my order. To my surprise, I was treated unfriendly by an employee who then started gossiping about me in Turkish in front of me. This unprofessional attitude felt very disrespectful and uncomfortable. As a customer, I expect courteous and professional treatment, regardless of the situation. However, the behavior of this employee was the opposite and detracted from the experience I have come to expect from your business. I hope you take this incident seriously and take appropriate action to ensure that other customers do not have the same negative experience. I hope my next visit will be pleasant as usual.

Mijn vader bracht me hier al vanaf jongs af aan! We rijden er nu speciaal voor heen en weer vanaf Rijnsburg. De pita's met falafel zijn heerlijk! Vergeet vooral de gepofte aardappel niet. Nadat deze bereid zijn kan je ze zelf beleggen met diverse salades, groentes en sauzen. Sla de Tahini en de extra hete saus niet over! Helaas vind ik de meiden van tegenwoordig een tikkeltje arrogant, maar dat maakt mijn eten er niet minder smakelijk door! Tot snel weer!

Lekker, vers klaargemaakt. Heel vriendelijk personeel, soms geen zitplek tijdens avondeten maar dat komt ook omdat het zo populair is. Ik neem zelf altijd de gepofte aardappel, altijd snel klaar en lekkere toppings! Ik raad het zeker aan voor als je in Den Haag centrum bent en een keertje klaar bent met fast food en nogsteeds is betaalbaars wilt eten.

De beste falafel in Den Haag, maar de gevulde aardappel is eigenlijk wat ik er het liefst bestel. Mijn zoon (8 jr.) heeft er laatst één gegeten en die is ook niet meer weg te slaan. Binnen beperkt ruimte om te zitten, maar het eten is het meer dan waard.

Good food, staff attitude was not good tho

Te duur voor een broodje falafel. €18 en nog wat voor 2 broodjes falafel en een blikje cola.

Hele lekkere Pita-broodjes Falafel met met veel verschillende sausjes en toppings. Vriendelijke bediening, niet duur en alles zeer schoon. Top.

Ze hebben maar 2 dingen op het menu staan: ter plekke vers gefrituurde falafel en gepofte aardappel. Maar allebei heel goed uitgevoerd. Ik zou het geen restaurant noemen, het is in feite een hok van pakweg 15m2, van vloer tot plafond betegeld en met planken aan de muur waaraan je staande (of als je een kruk hebt bemachtigd ook zittend) jouw bestelling kan oppeuzelen. Diverse salades en sausjes waaruit je min of meer onbeperkt kan kiezen om over of in de pita (mijn favoriet) of aardappel (vind ik iets te machtig voor lunch) te doen. For 'fast food' is het niet heel snel, want de falafel wordt pas gefrituurd als je het hebt besteld. Maar hé, dan heb je het wel helemaal dampend heet en crispy vers.

Ze maken normaal hun vork schoon aan de zijkant van het blad. Maar in plaats van hun vork schoon te maken schraapte ze oude aardappel op en prakte dat door de nieuwe aardappel. Ik zeg gewoon netjes dat ik dat niet echt fris vind.. staat daar zo'n jong ding te keer te gaan dat ik maar even moet luisteren en dat ze dat altijd zo doen terwijl dat gewoon niet waar is. Afvegen oke, maar niet oude aardappel bij mijn aardappel doen. Vervolgens doet ze het bij de andere 2 aardappelen ook heel demonstratief terwijl ze me uitdagend aan staat te kijken. Goed gedaan hoor Jessica!! Ik ben er al mijn hele leven klant en jij werkt er een paar weken en jaagt de mensen weg.

Este lugar tiene un menú muy limitado, pero eso debe ser claro por su nombre. Sus dos platos principales son el falafel y una especie de papa grande al horno. Un precio decente. Puedes servirte de ensalada y salsas ilimitadas con la comida. Vale la pena cada centavo.

Eten is extreem lekker, heb er geen woorden voor hoe lekker de gepofte aardappel is! Zeker als je er nog een heel klein beetje zeer hete saus bij doet. Je bedient jezelf nadat je je broodje falafel of gepofte aardappel hebt gekregen, je kunt dan zelf saus of groenten op je gerechtje doen. Het is niet de bedoeling dat je lang gaat tafelen, daar is de tent biet geschikt voor. Het lekkere eten en de snelheid (5 minuten vaak) waarop je bediend wordt is 100 sterren waard! Ik kom er al jaren, heb vrienden meegenomen en allemaal waren ze zeer tevreden! Aanrader!
