As a creative social media agency, we were asked to develop a social media strategy and organize a branded brainstorm for De Staat. And of course we couldn't resist experiencing the atmosphere ourselves during our research! The location is great, the burgers and the beer list too, all in all a really nice place where you immediately feel at home. The nice people behind the tap and at the bar provide a relaxed and pleasant vibe. Whether you come for a drink, a good conversation or just want to relax, De Staat is the place in Maassluis. Definitely recommended!

A nice cozy tent but with a spacious feeling through the large window to the square. Delicious for a drink with a choice of a simple but tasty burger.

Walked in for the first time. Top café with excellent service and beer was also top. Nuts on the house. Great thing. We had already eaten, but the food also looked great with visible compliments from the guests! We will definitely come back!

We had a drinks evening here with a group of people with various snacks and drinks. The service was very friendly and well organised. The snacks; appetizer board, fries, stew, mini hamburger, nachos and appetizers were very good. The room was attractive, but a bit on the small side if 15 people wanted to sit.

Top location in Maassluis, I was there on November 10. With the Bokbier tour. And saw that the ground floor and rear terrace have been renovated.

Enjoyed a delicious hamburger with a nice beer in a relaxed atmosphere. The menu is not extensive, but the service is pleasant and thinks along with you. Klein Cafe de Staat is highly recommended.

You immediately feel welcome when you enter. Enthusiastic hostess and host. The meat for the burgers is very good. Extensive beer range. A lot of attention for the customer. Take the time to share knowledge of the products with the customer. In one word: Great!! We will definitely eat a hamburger and drink a beer more often

A nice place with an informal atmosphere and a beautiful view over the Wip and part of the Market in Maassluis. The menu is simple and offers a choice of different burgers, the meat of which comes from La Bavette (Maasland). Those burgers are great! I dare say that these are the best burgers in Maassluis. The service is friendly. The otherwise tasty specialty beer that I ordered was served in a colorful kind of lemonade glass. That's not necessary for me. I can see my beer. All in all, highly recommended for a great burger. I will definitely come back.

Cozy atmosphere, good advice about the beer, tasty burgers. Our dessert (s'mores) was sold out, but the waitress quickly got ingredients from the store and we still had a delicious dessert!

Great selection of craft beers with enthusiastic bartenders with a passion for the finer beers. The food is also top notch, especially the Smo-kingbacon burger!

What a nice experience. Delicious food.

I absolutely loved the burger I got! The beef is from a local farm I learned and it’s absolutely delicious. The fries are also amazing, perfect crisp and saltiness. They also have the most amazing dessert, s’mores dip! So delicious and an amazing finisher. This is a relatively new restaurant but I would say it’s one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time! Totally 10/10 would come back. Delicious ❤️

Had lunch with 11 colleagues even though they are not normally open, great service that they wanted to open for us. I had the seasonal burger myself (bacon, parmesan, arugula and truffle mayonnaise) and it was very tasty! Nice view over Maassluis center.

In the most unsuspicious lies the (possibly) best burger in the the Netherlands, which comes with good beer options! The staff is super friendly and were super helpful giving recommendations as well. I had the chilly hot burger (thermostat) and it was spicy without compromising flavor, something it's hard to find around. They also have vegetarian and vegan options! Good fresh burger made with locally sourced meat, good brioche bread, good beer and good chips! If you are cycling around, make sure to stop to recharge your energies!

Nice new business in a great location. Super nice people. Nice citizen. I thought the Jopen beer for 5 euros 50 per 25cl was a bit on the high side. Tip: Organic wines outside Portugal are often "not that tasty", ask the Grand Cru neighbor across the street, there is a great sommelier...

Best burger I've had here in years. Absolutely great! The café has just opened and is undoubtedly worth a visit, also enjoy a delicious beer. Service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. Definitely recommended.

How great that a new café has opened at this time: Klein Cafe de Staat in Maassluis. Exactly on the corner of Wip and Zuiddijk. Wonderful atmosphere, you can eat special hamburgers made from beef from Weiderij Horison, burgers from the charcoal oven, with of course a good special beer, also from Belgium. The service is casual and pleasant. Beautiful terrace, with a view of old Maassluis, right in the center. Open from Thursday to Sunday.
