Good for a tasty meal in the evening and a very good location for a party. The selection of craft beer on tap is particularly nice, but for some reason, tap water is usually not available.

We had a lovely lunch today on the beautiful terrace of De Kromme Toeter. We had the spareribs, the Taco platter, and the carpaccio. Generous portions and delicious fries. My husband, who is normally always the first to finish his plate, barely ate any of my dish this time. The Taco platter is a hit! There were plenty of shady spots on the terrace and the service was quick and friendly. The delicious limoncello Spritz made the afternoon complete. Thank you.

De Kromme Toeter is a pub, café, bistro is the best description. Large covered and open-air terrace. The staff is sometimes more, sometimes less friendly. Very large selection of drinks. Food from snacks to Wiener Schnitzel. Open 7 days a week. If you love bacon and eggs, this is the place to go. The prices are very reasonable. Perfectly accessible for wheelchair users. The food is always good, but with the tropical temperatures of last week, it would have been nice if there had been fans inside as well. It was scorching hot and quite stuffy inside. Respect to the staff for having to work in these inhumane temperatures.

We had just arrived and were immediately asked, without a greeting or saying hello, if we could make a choice yet. We said no. After waiting for half an hour, someone finally came after we had waved. Then the drinks were brought. I said thank you, and the same guy from earlier asked, "Can you make a choice yet?" No "please" or anything like that. When I thanked him, he said nothing again and asked once more with an irritated look, "Can you make a choice?" Need to learn to treat people with more respect!

Plenty of seating. Located in an attractive spot on the square. Service friendly and professional. Extensive menu with something for everyone. However, the food is mediocre and some dishes are quite pricey for what you get. Spaghetti Bolognese was bland, lukewarm, and watery. (sent back, but little changed) The hamburger bun wasn't special, with some fries on the side, but still cost around €18. You would expect something better for that price. So, for food, I would go sit somewhere else. Otherwise, fine for the terrace.

I went to eat at De Kromme Toeter (not a straight whistle) through SocialDeal. As soon as I entered, I was greeted kindly by a couple of guys who were there at the time. They also made every effort to find my reservation, which I had made through SocialDeal but, due to an ERROR by SocialDeal, hadn't been passed on to them. Fortunately, I had a confirmation email from SocialDeal, which I showed them, allowing them to see my reservation. I then got a table. The guys serving and the girl who brought the food were very friendly and very relaxed. The staff here are not rushed, and you can clearly see that in the calm and atmosphere. The food was also delicious and the portions were generous. I will definitely go there again.

Friendly service on the square in Heerlen. Orders were taken quickly and delivered quickly thanks to a clever ordering system. The "Krooked Toeter" salad was delicious with chicken and mushrooms, and the "uitsmijter" (fried eggs) came with farmhouse bread, cheese, ham, and, of course, egg. Overall, a decent price-quality ratio. The menu is very extensive, which can be a bit overwhelming. But that might be my only complaint ;-p. It's just that we never go to Heerlen, but it's highly recommended for a tasty snack.

My parents, aged 95 and 89, had to wait for the bus yesterday after an appointment at Beter Horen. They were allowed to sit on your terrace even though they hadn't had anything to drink, because my dad had forgotten his wallet. You were so incredibly kind to offer them each a cappuccino, and then even another cappuccino each. I think this is such a lovely gesture; others should follow this example. A basic but excellent cafe in Heerlen's market square. The interior looks nice, but the exterior is in dire need of updating. The chair cushions were covered in cigarette burns. The menu is very simple. The staff is friendly and quick, and the prices are very reasonable!

We opted for the three-course menu and had a wonderful meal! We'll definitely be back!

Ik heb het nooit gekregen en na nog eens 30 tot 45 minuten wachten op een serveerster, besloot ik dat het het wachten niet meer waard was. Ik betaalde mijn rekening en vertrok. Ik ben zwaar teleurgesteld, want ik had meer verwacht

Very quickly in my opinion and unfortunately I was quite ill that same evening and the next day. It tasted good, but I won't be eating there again anytime soon.

As a working man, you have little time with your family. You decide to have something to eat with your wife and child at this pointless venture. After waiting 1 hour decided to leave. Sat here on the terrace today for a cup of coffee and a small lunch. To start positively: the food is fine, nothing to complain about. The staff is also neat and friendly. But then there is that big annoyance: you are sitting at a table and people are happily smoking at all the surrounding tables. Very annoying and actually just antisocial. You constantly smell the smoke and it also blows into your face from all sides. Extremely distasteful. Should we sit somewhere else if that bothers us? I don't think so. After all, we don't do anything that could bother other people. So the question is: why is smoking still allowed on a terrace? Why are people allowed to ruin other people's moments of rest and food? And above all: why don't they at least make a terrace where smokers sit separately so that it doesn't bother people? It is 2024, this is really no longer possible these days. It's something to embarrass you to death. Please take into account people who DO NOT smoke and do not feel like dealing with that unsolicited filth.

Na een drankje genomen te hebben met veel lawaai en gerook om ons heen, is mijn man z’n pet vergeten tw van 65, euro. Nadat wij telefonisch contact hebben gehad, weigerde de baas deze pet terug te sturen. Ook al wilden wij via een tikkie de kosten betalen. Voor ons onbegonnen werk om 2x 225 km te gaan rijden. Voor de eigenaar een kleine moeite om naar het postkantoor te gaan. Wij zijn zeer teleurgesteld.
