La Cubanita in Ede-Oost

This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I've ever had at this restaurant. The service was absolutely terrible; the staff were unfriendly and disinterested. We had to wait far too long for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and tasteless. To make matters worse, the tables were barely cleared; plates and glasses from previous guests were strewn everywhere. We've been to other locations before, but this was truly the worst. A huge disappointment!

I've been to several La Cubanita restaurants, but this one was the least good. It took quite a while for the tapas to arrive. The food sometimes felt reheated, and there were too many tables and chairs to sit comfortably.

The food was delicious! Our group of 13 people was excellent. The service was very smooth and friendly. I highly recommend this location!

Made a reservation at 7am and they scheduled us for 5pm, sent us away afterward and couldn't do anything for us.

Had dinner here tonight with a group of 23 teachers. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely. The atmosphere and the very friendly staff really complete it. Not everything goes smoothly, but that is compensated by the good atmosphere.

Gisteravond met drie personen genoten van heerlijke tapas. Ondank het feit dat het druk was kwamen de tapas en onze drankjes kort na onze bestelling. Petje af hoor. Bedienend personeel, de koks en natuurlijk de eigenaar die af en toe kwam vragen of alles nog naar wens was: bedankt voor de goed verzorgde avond.

Our tacos were thrown on the floor and they didn't even want to get new ones at first. The atmosphere was there, but not really great. The food was really delicious.

We only received the 2nd round after an hour because we asked, the food was disappointing. ordering system did not work properly so we could not order drinks and food barely came through. Girls very friendly, but an apology or compensation was not possible. We always enjoyed coming here, but unfortunately this was the last time for us for a while.

Very tasty food, will come back more often. They could do even better if they had more staff, hats off to those who were present, keeping all those people happy with too few colleagues 💪🏻

The food was reasonable and the service was excellent.

Today we sat and relaxed and ate. Something went wrong with the orders, but it was also very busy with only young staff. They regularly came to the table to ask if something was missing and resolved it promptly. Later that evening an incident with a very drunk man who was really annoying and derogatory to a girl behind the bar. A tip for the young staff, call the police sooner and don't even talk to someone like that. It's nice of you to apologize, especially since you couldn't do anything about it. All in all a really great evening, thank you!

La cubanita in Ede When we arrived (reserved), 2 staff members were busy talking to each other (training later turned out) and left us waiting for a while. We were allowed to choose the table ourselves. We quickly went inside because of the heat. Ordered drinks and according to the employee a sandwich with dips arrived. First round came quite quickly, 2nd and 3rd did not, just like the bread. Asked after a while, but it was still in the oven. After 45 minutes I asked if anything else would be on the table. While continuous audible laughter came from the kitchen, it was announced that people were being trained and that it was taking longer. No excuses, but that the 2.5 hours, as stated on the website, were not adhered to. Of course this could have been mentioned upon arrival, then we would not have stayed. No excuses, just misunderstanding and asking for understanding of the situation. We eventually left, after waiting a while for the bill for the half-drank drinks and the tapas that were served. With the announcement that our 2nd round was now ready. Not customer friendly and we have never had this experience in Enschede. Definitely not recommended in our opinion. We cannot say anything about the quality of the food, except that it did not reach the table.

We were there last Saturday, it was a hot day. Fortunately there was room for 4 inside and we were cool. The food was just good, tasty and hot. It didn't take long before we got our dishes. The service was very nice and correct. We will definitely come back. The price-quality ratio is very good.

We came with a group of 23. We were put in the super hot conservatory (read: 35 degrees in the sun) while we had made a reservation. The food came quickly but the drinks were very slow, everyone had a headache and was completely groggy. The food was otherwise fine, but ordering was a drama, they did not think along with us at all, while this simply yielded more than 700 euros for the restaurant. That's probably fine for a small group, but really not for a group.

Nice place to have a nice dinner. We were able to sit outside last time, but inside (upstairs) is also fine.

Super good service, delicious food and delicious cocktails, you are looked after very well, despite the fact that it got busy in the evening, I had put my mobile phone on the charger in the restaurant, and it was very stupid because of the fun and good service Forgot my mobile phone, the other day I got my mobile phone back and charged it, and of course drank a nice cocktail😀👍 Highly recommended!!! A not so positive experience in Ede. Unfortunately, we received no compensation for the defective ice machine on a 32 degree day. If you book a week in advance you would expect to have a spot inside with the air conditioning on, but unfortunately only a spot in a sweltering conservatory behind the glass. Then waiting 50 minutes for a drink and serving the food to the table at the same time is quite a challenge. The food is fine for the price, but was not always served hot.

We made a reservation a week in advance for a large group to come and have dinner. We arrived and were put in the warmest place in the restaurant, we wanted to move but unfortunately that was not possible. Also, no initiative was taken at all to ensure a compromise. In the end it took forever before we could order via the QR code. Drinks were also forgotten a number of times. All in all a bad experience and I won't be coming back here….

Nice food, but it was a bit messy, empty food containers were left standing for several rounds, service is friendly.

After tonight we decided that it would be the last time for us to eat at la cubanita. 1) it took a very long time before the order was served, when it was served it took around 50 minutes per order. If the food had already arrived, we asked the waitress about this and she said she would bring it, but it still did not come. 2) many dishes were prepared substandard (still raw or tasteless). 3) the price is certainly not in proportion to quality. In short, this is our last time and it is certainly not recommended!

We had a delicious meal, that's why they get 5 stars. The service still requires some attention, say 3 stars. I would like to invite the owner to properly train new staff so that they understand the concept. And ensure that I don't have to order bread and drinks three times. And explain to the staff that they can pay a little more attention to clearing away. So all together 4 stars, but with attention from the owner this could certainly be 4.5 to 5 stars.

Ate here again yesterday and what a treat it was. The bike ride from Westervoort was completely worth it. Great service again and enjoying the new tapas. On to next time. A really great evening again

1/5 because the drinks were good. The staff was friendly but they explained the prices incorrectly so instead of paying 40/50 euro we paid 80 euros. The food comes out EXTREMELY slow. You must have a phone to order they use a QR code and you order 2 side dishes at a time and they’re tiny. We both only got 4 sides each. Which was barely any food and only like 1 of the 8 dishes we tried. The food was mediocre at best. My shrimp was rubbery/overcooked. The me I can meatballs were very greasy and taste like a hot dog. I only enjoyed my taco which was one tiny pulled chicken taco. Came her on vacation and unfortunately was not worth the price or very long wait times.

Nice concept and friendly service. The food could be better. A Bruchette and Crostini should be on a nicely toasted bun and not a piece of toast. A Flammkuchen should be crispy and not a greasy piece. Some areas for improvement.

Nice concept, but unfortunately it didn't work in practice when we were there. The business couldn't handle the hustle and bustle of the evening yesterday. Ordered the first round, after waiting 50 minutes the first round was still not completely served (4 simple cold snacks), even though the waitress would "look where it went wrong". At that pace we would have been there for an hour per round, where the concept was explained "every ten minutes you can order a new round of 2 snacks per person". Service friendly, but the place clearly couldn't handle the crowds. We paid for our drinks and left.

Best tapas in Ede. We will definitely come here more often. The employees are great too!

Just not good! I understand that if there are too few staff it is difficult to run a reasonably full business. But please indicate this upon arrival that the service is substandard!! Then I still have a choice whether or not to come to dinner. The table was not cleared once, so we filled the empty table next to us with all the used crockery. Tapas menu with snacks has a high frying content. I won't come back here again, price/quality is not in proportion.

Very good restaurant! The food is well prepared and at the right temperature when delivered to the table. There is a lot of choice, but not TOO much, so the quality remains good. The staff is very friendly.

Delicious and enjoyable meal. The tapas are excellent in terms of portion size, and wonderfully tasty and varied. The service was a bit messy, with occasional orders (passed on the table with a QR code) that were not served, or that were served, but not ordered by us. This was not a problem for us, because it was all delicious, and the staff was certainly friendly!!

Everything was cold inside except for a few dishes. If I wanted food from the freezer, I would have gone to the store.

Had a good experience at the 'new' Cubanita. Food was good (steak tips a bit tough, but otherwise there was nothing to complain about). Only orders sometimes went a bit wrong. Hence a downside to the service. That is ultimately resolved nicely at the end. Cocktails and desserts are also very reasonably priced. I thought it was a nice bonus. I was there with my wife and two children aged 10 and 11 and we spent more than two hours there without really getting bored.

We had dinner here (today) on Valentine's Day. Due to all the hustle and bustle, we were fifteen minutes late and this was neatly reported by telephone. The boy on the phone moved our reservation fifteen minutes and that was very nice. Once I entered it was a bit chaotic, it was a bit unclear where to report. Luckily I'm capable enough to figure this out. We got a table in the middle of the restaurant and it was extremely busy. You noticed this quite badly at the beginning of the evening, because it took no less than 20 minutes before someone came to our table for drinks. The boy was also super nice and hospitable. After this we could start ordering. The first food we ordered was at 7:39 PM and the food literally didn't arrive until 8:33 PM. I immediately said something about this and the boy in question resolved this very nicely and pleasantly. The food after this also arrived warm at the table. The tall blond boy came to our table twice to check if we had everything. Great service! I can imagine with such a commercial day where it's all about love that it could be a bit busier. So luckily it was responded to. Perhaps another point of feedback: the staff, a younger girl with long dark brown hair, could have been a little friendlier. She often came across as a bit gruff. Furthermore, a super nice and delicious meal, plus points for the quality of the service from the boy! I'm guessing he was kind of in charge. Greetings table 2!

Kwaliteit van het eten is echt matig. De vitello Tomato was zelfs bedorven, daar kregen we een gratis drankje voor. De rest was zo zo … maar aan carpachio of een chorizo worst kun je ook niet zoveel verkeerd aan doen. Geen aanrader. Voor mij de laatste keer bij deze keten.

Delicious food and a pleasant seat! Two tapas per person per round was perfect. Friendly service. It was pleasantly busy for a Thursday evening (not too busy, fortunately - tables are very close together). Also very tasteful in terms of decoration.

Menu is very limited, lots of chip shops, few cold vegetable options. Light was very poor, making it difficult to read the map. Service was fairly smooth. Only drinks took very long.

Good atmosphere, good food, fast and nice service. Young people who are working hard on their way. Keep it up. A big improvement compared to the past. Recommended. Was cozy.

De twee en een half uur die je denkt te kunnen bestellen en eten is in werkelijkheid twee uur en een kwartier. Het staat nergens vermeld en niemand die het je vertelt; je komt erachter als het bestelprogramma op een gegeven moment niet meer werkt en je vertelt dat de 135 minuten voorbij zijn, terwijl je voor 150 minuten betaalt. Lekker eten en vriendelijke bediening, maar de spelregels zijn niet compleet; ik kan het niet anders bestempelen dan als dwaling.

The two and a half hours you think you can order and eat is actually two hours and fifteen minutes. It's not mentioned anywhere and no one tells you; you find out if the ordering program stops working at some point and tells you that the 135 minutes are up, while you pay for 150 minutes. Good food and friendly service, but the rules of the game are not complete; I cannot call it anything other than an error.

Dishes were tasty, but unfortunately it took a very long time for them to arrive, if they did arrive at all. So we often found ourselves with an empty table, even though we kept ordering. Drinking also took more than fifteen minutes. A shame because the food tasted great and the staff was also very friendly But unfortunately for us it is not worth repeating.

Voor het eerst in misschien wel 5 jaar weer eens gegeten bij La Cubanita in Ede. Een erg mooi verbouwde zaak met vriendelijk personeel. Lekkere tapas en cocktails voor een goede prijs.

Eten was er vlot en warm, erg lekker. Cocktails zijn goed en zeer fijne service van de assistent bedrijfsleider zelf! Komen graag nog een keer terug.

2e kerstdag hier gegeten. Vriendelijke bediening. Leuk ingericht en heerlijk gegeten. Halverwege de avond kwamen onze bestellingen niet meer door maar na dit gemeld te hebben bij de vriendelijke eigenaar werd dit snel en adequaat opgelost. We hebben genoten en komen zeker nog eens terug.

Onwijs leuke avond gehad! Geweldig leuke eigenaar die het hele feest compleet maakt. Tevens super vriendelijk en vlot personeel. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Leuke barman.

Eten fantastisch, bediening te jong en veel te chaotisch

La Cubanita heeft recentelijk zijn deuren opnieuw geopend, en het is een fantastische ervaring! De gerechten zijn verrukkelijk en het bestelsysteem is efficiënt; de korte pauzes tussen de rondes zorgen ervoor dat er genoeg tijd is voor gezellige gesprekken zonder dat je lang op je eten hoeft te wachten. Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en draagt bij aan de aangename sfeer. Een absolute aanrader voor een leuke avond uit!

Super gezellige avond gehad en heerlijk gegeten. Ondanks dat deze vestiging net weer open is met een nieuw team en een nieuwe eigenaar en er hier en daar wat verbeterd kan worden. Absoluut een aanrader. Goede sfeer, ontzettend behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk eten..Mijn volgende reservering staat al weer.

Leuke tent, goed eten, was op smaak, goede bereid en goed van temperatuur. Vriendelijk personeel. Werkt goed om te bestellen via de app. Je hoeft niet lang op je gerechten te wachten. Wij hebben genoten vanavond!

Wij hebben hier gisteren onwijs lekker gegeten. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en de sfeer was gezellig! Zeker een aanrader. Wij gaan hier nog veel vaker eten!

(1) Heerlijk gegeten. (2) Gastheer (franchisenemer) Ruben maakte de belevenis onovertreffelijk. (3) Het beproefde concept van onbeperkt kleine hapjes kunnen bestellen (zoals bij 't Zusje) werkt ook hier. Maar de porties zijn iets groter, dus deel ze vooral met elkaar, als je de hele kaart wilt proeven. (4) Er is een (te) ruime keuze aan drankjes, alcoholische mixen en mocktails (0%alc). De prijzen van drankjes zijn redelijk (cola €2,8). (5) De bediening lijkt in overvloed aanwezig en is heel snel, soms binnen 20 seconden na bestelling; (opmerking: wij waren er op een volgeboekte zaterdag). (6) de bediening is vriendelijk en dynamisch. (7) De tafeltjes staan (net) voldoende uit elkaar; het meubilair is nieuw en schoon. (8) De mexicaanse achtergrondmuziek is nauwelijks hoorbaar, maar zorgt dat je de buurtafel niet overhoort (9) het uitzicht op het drukke restaurantplein is fraai (10) parkeren kan dichtbij tegen betaling €2,09 p. uur, of 4 uur gratis op 900mtr @blauwe zone. (11) Je kan je onbeperkte gerechtjes bestellen in een app. Deze app geeft zowel een beschrijving als visualisatie van hetgeen je bestelt. Je kan de menukaart dynamisch aanpassen op je allergieën of dieetwensen. Deze app werkt feilloos, maar je kan ook traditioneel met kaartjes bestellen (12) De prijs is op vrijdag en zaterdag €27,50 voor onbeperkt tapas, maar exlusief drankjes/toetjes. Op zondag tot en met donderdag is de prijs € 22,50. Reserveer wel (enkele dagen van tevoren), want het is het populairste restaurant aan de Edense strip. (13) De menukaart met 63 gerechtjes is evenredig ingedeeld in (a) koude tapas (b) vlees tapas (c) vis tapas (d) vega tapas (e) desserts.

Dit was onze beste La cubanita ervaring ooit; Mooi restaurant, goed eten, leuk personeel en een super vriendelijke eigenaar. Het was de eerste dag na de heropening maar het liep op rolletjes.

Wat een mooie nieuwe zaak, eigenaar én gerechten. Wij zijn fan!

Leuk dat er een nieuwe eigenaar is die erg enthousiast is.

Wat baalden wij dat La Cubanita sloot en het erop leek dat het gesloten zou blijven. Maar ineens stond er goed nieuws op Facebook! Op dag 2 na de heropening hier heerlijk gegeten. Het eten is nog beter dan het voorheen was (en dat was al ontzettend goed, kun je nagaan :-) ), het pand is prachtig verbouwd en het personeel is vriendelijk en vrolijk. Niet twijfelen, gewoon weer ouderwets naar La Cubanita gaan, maar dan nog leuker en lekkerder dan voorheen.

Echt een pleasure om hier te eten. Aardige ober die soms een leuk grapje maakte aan tafel. Sangria’s zijn heerlijk! Nieuwe eigenaar heeft er wat moois van gemaakt!

Gezellig ingericht en lekker eten! Fijn ook dat er aardig wat vegetarische opties staan op het menu. Tafeltjes staan wel wat nauw op elkaar. Dat was jammer. Door de drukte duurde het soms wat lang om de tapas geserveerd te krijgen.

Bij binnenkomst werden we pas door de 4e medewerker die ons zag pas aangesproken. Duurde extreem lang voor we de verschillende tappas kregen. Eerste 3 tappas rondes moesten we vooraf doorgeven omdat we met een grote groep waren. Daarna mochten we zelf uitkiezen en toen kon het wel snel want het was al laat en bijna alle gasten waren al weg. Toetje wat bij arrangement inzat was vervolgens maar voor 6 van de 14 personen beschikbaar.

Op hele korte termijn door Ingmar geholpen. Hij wist voor ons (7personen) toch nog een plek te regelen. We hebben heerlijk gegeten! Service is goed, vriendelijk en snel!

Really good food with coze environment. Would love to go again

Heerlijk en gezellig gegeten voor een betaalbare prijs. Helaas geen 5 sterren want tot slot werden we weggekeken, want bij ons toetje van ijs werd alles opgeruimd van onze tafel terwijl 1 van ons vieren nog aan het eten was. Zeer jammer zo'n afsluiting! ( ook al is het 6 minuten voor 22.00 uur)

Heerlijk gegeten, hele nette prijs zondag t/m donderdag voor 19,95 onbeperkt eten. Vegetarische partner had zat keuzes. Cocktails 5 euro. Mojito was heerlijk. Vriendelijk personeel. Tot snel weer!

Heerlijk gegeten, leuk vuurwerk voor de jarige

Vorige week woensdag een bestelling geplaatst én betaald voor de vrijdag. Op vrijdag gebeurde er niets. Tevergeefs geprobeerd telefonisch contact te krijgen op vrijdagavond en zaterdag. Uit de informatie op de website kon niet worden opgemaakt dat de zaak volledig gesloten was. Op een mail werd zondagmorgen gereageerd. De mogelijkheid om te bestellen was een fout. Het geld zou worden teruggestort. Het is nu woensdagavond en het geld staat nog steeds niet op de rekening. Op een bericht via Messenger wordt niet gereageerd. Ook telefonisch wederom niet bereikbaar, alhoewel - onder begeleiding van een gezellig deuntje - wel de indruk wordt gewekt dat er telefonisch contact mogelijk. Het is al met al een waardeloze (eerste) ervaring!

Gisteravond met mijn nicht genoten van het lekkere eten en de vriendelijke bediening. Ik kom vaker bij la cubanita maar dan in Nieuwegein. Voor mijn nicht was het de 1e keer. Zij is nu ook een la cubanita fan. Wij komen zeker terug!

Leuke tent, aardig personeel. Staar je niet blind op het ‘all you can eat’. De drank maakt het niet goedkoper ;-) Concept; scan QR code en bestel je eten/drinken in ‘rondes’. Keuze voldoende ook voor de vega’s. Wij betaalden 150EUR voor 4p, prima verhouding. Eten goed, lekker maar niet bijzonder. Dit is een 13 in een dozijn restaurant. Gaan we terug? Waarschijnlijk wel, maar omdat ik graag ook andere dingen probeer zullen we toch eerst andere restaurants proberen.
