We had a wonderful evening at La Cubanita in Roosendaal. There is a calm and cozy atmosphere, and the food was very good. Because you order smaller dishes, you can enjoy a long meal and sample many different dishes. Truly ideal! The service was also top-notch: friendly, pleasant, and attentive staff. Furthermore, the value for money is really great. And best of all: we could even make a reservation just 2 hours in advance, and it went super fast and easily. Definitely recommended; we would love to come back again! 😊

The food is always delicious! The service and atmosphere too! It is a challenge from a wheelchair perspective, but they don't claim to be wheelchair accessible, so that is okay. There is no disabled toilet and a significant threshold to enter. Most tables are not wheelchair suitable.

We were here with a small group for a birthday, but the evening went wrong in several respects. Dishes arrived in the wrong order (tapas before the bread), tapas were served mixed together, and several hot dishes were cold. Additionally, we had asked in advance for something festive for the birthday. This was promised, but executed completely poorly. The dessert was placed on the table without warning with a small firework, forcing one of our guests to move aside. This felt unprofessional and even unsafe. For a bill with a “large” amount, you really expect better. It is a real shame, because La Cubanita was once a place with good memories for us.

There were 4 adults, 1 child, and 1 baby. We just ordered rounds, but every time not everything arrived, so it took a very long time before we were full. Then it was the last round and we could still order dessert, but when the dessert arrived, food arrived that we had already been waiting for for an hour. Our friends with a baby had already left by then because it had gotten a bit late. A shame and not very pleasant. I was even still hungry.

Went for the first time...and it was the last time. We ate at our leisure...forget it, it felt like a chicken coop, and you had to shout to hear each other. After our first order didn't even arrive simultaneously, leaving one person watching the other eat, we had to wait over 50 minutes for our second order. The kitchen's capacity is far too small for the number of guests. They don't even ask if you want your food included or excluded...so you end up paying for it later. The food was decent, but some dishes could have been better. All in all...not a success, and I won't be back. A real disappointment. I'd rather go to the neighbors.

I've been to several La Cubanitas, and this one is truly the best. The food comes quickly, the staff is friendly, and the table is always neatly cleared. The cocktails are definitely worth it; there's a wide selection and they're not "standard." Great prices, too! We'll definitely be back. Hasta la vista, baby!

For what we had, it was tasty, but shortly after we arrived, they had a power outage. The staff struggled to figure out what to do now; they tried, which is decent, but we left anyway because we still had to wait half an hour for the bill to be picked up. Wow, 4 bites in an hour and a half, and letting more new people in. They could have handled it better differently. Unfortunately, our Boxing Day was pretty much ruined by this.

We had a great meal here on Boxing Day. When we arrived, there was a real panic: there was a power outage in the back. We were asked to put everything on paper. They quickly realized this wasn't working properly and was taking too long. They switched to bringing dishes to us, which meant we received a lot of food in a short time. This was a bit of a shame because we were quickly full. But I did eat things I wouldn't have ordered otherwise. The team handled such a difficult situation well. Communication was excellent, and you kept customers informed. After about 45 minutes, everything was working again.

It was extra busy with Christmas, but the dishes came out in quick succession. A 2.5-hour time slot was perfectly sufficient.

La Cubanita Roosendaal was always our favorite place to eat out. We went there several times a year. We went there last week. We won't be going back. It seems like there's a new owner; all the staff are new and very young. The food is raw, and if you raise a concern, they argue with you. We had to wait 40 minutes for a round, and then they argue with you again. This used to be a recommendation, and now it's a no-go, too bad!

The food is always delicious, but there were far too few staff. I often had to wait a long time, and everything arrived intermittently.

I feel like things got a bit out of hand yesterday. Everything gets mixed up, there's little structure, and then the mistakes start. We were already on round 3 while one person was still waiting for their first dish. We had to send something back twice because it was too cold. Corn on the cob, pictured 2 = received 1. Hamburgers, pictured 3 = received 1 cut in half. The tiramisu was gone, a complete mess. Several things were gone. When we got the €160 bill, I complained because I didn't want to pay that much for such a disappointing evening. The waitress still had a bit of leftover coke on her nose, but oh well, that was her problem. They deducted the package deal once, so we paid €133 instead of €160, but we won't be back.

The food was fine, but the service was poor. You have to wait a long time for your food, and it takes ages for them to come over and ask if you want something to drink. The tables are also very close together.

I've been going to various La Cubanita locations for years and have never had any problems, but unfortunately, this wasn't a particularly pleasant experience. A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and I went to La Cubanita in Roosendaal on a Monday. We walked in at 5:05 PM to be sure of a table. The whole place was empty, of course, and no one was seated. We asked if we could stay there for dinner. The woman working there laughed and said, "No, we don't have any more seats for you." We found this odd, as there's no mention of a mandatory reservation. It's just to be sure of a spot. I understand that if it were very busy and there were no seats left, you'd naturally give priority to those with reservations. I repeat, this wasn't the case; no one was in the restaurant. We walked in at 5:05 PM. I should also mention that we called several times from 3:00 PM onward, as that was also stated on the website. Unfortunately, no one answered, so we went back, and this was the end result. I'm writing this review primarily to clarify walk-ins and reservations, including the time you can call. This was quite frustrating, and we had to find another place to eat.

Fantastically tasty dishes and service was fast

I had a leftover voucher from the Albert Heijn promotion, so I gave it to my daughter to go out to dinner with her boyfriend, so they'd get half the price. Half an hour after they arrived, she told me they'd just left. It took over 10 minutes to get a table, and after 15 minutes, no drinks order had been placed or anything else initiated. It wasn't busy that evening, so apparently the staff aren't motivated to serve the few people there. It's a real shame; we've been customers for years, but it doesn't have to be like this anymore. The voucher has since expired, which is a waste of money.

At first it took a while but after the first course it went well. The drinks ordered before the first round were only brought to the third. We had an AH voucher for 2 people. The rest just separately. I have to say honestly that you might as well order separately because through that AH promotion it was only 2€/pp cheaper. To be honest, I should have read better, thought it was 36€/pp and the AH promotion 22€ without drinks and we at most have 2 drinks, All-in or not. The food tasted good. All sauces tasty. Fries with the stew a bit too much for 1 person. Desserts are a bit mini. You can easily eat 2 or 3 of them. They should consider buying new seats. They are not comfortable. I had to brace myself against the table legs the whole evening because I slipped off. It gives you back pain. Quite noisy, there is music but you can't hear it well. It is nice to spend an evening with these different snacks (tapas).

La Cubanita in Roosendaal is our second location — we used to visit the one in Schiedam quite often. When comparing the two: the menu is, of course, the same — it’s a franchise, so consistency is key. A small difference: here the QR code is brought to your table by the waiter, which is a nice touch. The food? Pretty much identical — solid and satisfying, as always. But let’s talk cocktails… now that’s a conversation. In Schiedam, they tasted like water with a splash of memories, but here — much better! More flavor, less ice. Big thumbs up! Unfortunately, our favorite drink of the gods — Sangria — was a bit of a letdown this time. In Schiedam, it came with real fruits and wasn’t watered down. Here? Fizzy water and tons of ice. Instead of a fun buzz, we got a chilly slap in the face. Not quite the uplifting punch we were hoping for 😅 Now, big shoutout to the staff — super friendly and welcoming! However, there’s clearly too few people behind the bar — we waited almost 40 minutes for our drinks. Not a tragedy for us, but during that time, we could’ve easily ordered three more — so the bar actually loses money trying to “save” on service. Warm greetings from the elbow-licking connoisseurs 😄 See you soon in more Roosendaal locations — we’re planning to visit (and review!) them all! One star off for the watered-down Sangria!
