It's been a while since we were here, this time it was great, nice portions, tasty food for a reasonable price

Delicious food and a great concept. You order as much as you want, and the portions are the perfect size to try a little bit of everything.

Not what it used to be. Having three people serving in a full restaurant just doesn't work! Had to wait half an hour for orders to be opened. Another 20 minutes for drinks. The first round of food took almost half an hour. And the food really wasn't good! This was my last time here.

Super friendly service, great food and cocktails 🫶 The duck does the job.

There was hardly anyone there. Small restaurant. There was a promotion with discount coupons. I didn't receive them.

Great service, fast service and delicious food

There were three of us (parents and an 11-year-old child). Drinks were served quickly, but food, on the other hand, could take a very long time (up to 50 minutes). The food was sometimes cold and occasionally raw 🥴. We confronted the staff about this, and they responded promptly and effectively. Unfortunately, things quickly went wrong again. We didn't even receive our last order; after inquiring, it was again wrong. We didn't go home hungry, but we won't be back.

Had a lovely birthday celebration here. The staff is very friendly, but it can get a bit chaotic when it gets busy. The food was good, but it took quite a while for the dishes to be brought. Sometimes things get forgotten or the wrong thing is brought. A bit of a chaotic experience. The bar seating is very cramped, and there's little room to get in and out of the chairs. This is thankfully less of an issue if you sit elsewhere. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. Definitely recommended for students and larger groups. The concept of ordering different items works very well here.

What a crappy place! They had a special offer in September, but buying enough bread was too much to ask. We had to wait 50 minutes for two dishes, it was packed, and the staff was overflowing (though friendly!). I'll never go back to La Cubanietas. A special offer to lure customers in, but unfortunately, it was a completely wrong decision.

A lovely evening out with my mother. We waited an hour and a half for our food, only got a sandwich, and two dishes were tasteless and cold. Never experienced this before at La Cubanita. There was one guy, just starting his first day, who was working very hard but couldn't keep up on his own. I ended up leaving in anger and had to eat elsewhere. Unfortunately, it was already 8:30 pm...

The food is, as always, simply excellent, but of course, it has to be served. Unfortunately, it took quite a while. After sitting for 50 minutes, we only received four dishes, one of which came with a container of sauce. As I said, the food is excellent, but the speed of service is appalling. This isn't even during rush hour!

Helemaal weg ondergedompeld in vrolijkheid. Genoten van vegetarische hapjes en vis. Heel veel chaudfontaine water gedronken. Hoe vaak ruikt een glas, dit was echt schoon water. Fijne bediening.

We always enjoy coming here, so I was a bit shocked by the recent reviews. But nothing could be further from the truth. Today, as always, we had a delicious meal, friendly, fast service, and delicious cocktails!

We hebben gisteravond heerlijk gegeten bij La Cubanita. Vanaf het moment dat we binnenkwamen, voelden we ons welkom. Het personeel was vriendelijk, attent en goed geïnformeerd over het menu. Het eten was werkelijk voortreffelijk – vers, smaakvol en prachtig gepresenteerd. Vooral de carpaccio was een echte aanrader! De sfeer in het restaurant is warm en gezellig, met een mooi interieur en vrolijke achtergrondmuziek. Een absolute aanrader. Wij komen zeker terug!

Friday night, the four of us had a lovely dinner. We thought... It had already gone wrong twice: the food we ordered wasn't in stock (it was Friday night, and half the restaurant was empty). Then, a hamburger was ordered and didn't arrive...a total of 40 minutes later. Along with four other appetizers that were also late, one person suddenly received five warm bowls of food while the rest had already finished their ice cream and desserts. When we approached the lady present (who, by the way, was already acting up when we arrived), she initially calmly defended herself, but then became increasingly aggressive...resulting in her essentially completely denying that anything had gone wrong and why we hadn't asked. But there was no one there for a long time... she says, "I've been here at the bar the whole time..." My husband said, "Well, we didn't see you," and then she went so full-on that she basically labeled my husband a liar. Things definitely went wrong...you could tell by the time on the order app...and she still denied it. But the way she treated us and attacked us was a no-go...this is the third time we've been here, but this was definitely the last time. My husband has 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry, but he's never experienced anything like this before. She disappeared and hasn't shown her face again...an assistant came to take the bill...still no apology for her behavior...still no apology for what went wrong. Simply scandalous. Never again. No respect for customers...

We had to wait a very long time between courses, sometimes 40 minutes. Even though there were only a few guests in the restaurant. When I asked how that was possible, the answer was that it wasn't true, even though I showed them the time the order was placed. According to the employee, that wasn't true. In other words, she's saying you're lying. We didn't see any staff for a long time. According to her, that wasn't true either. Very unprofessional, very unfriendly. She said she had 16 years of experience. I think it's more like 16 days; she still has a lot to learn. Never again at this terrible restaurant.

A really nice and cozy atmosphere

Delicious food!! We had a wonderful meal at La Cubanita last week (on a Thursday). Like many people, we probably read the reviews beforehand and saw some comments about the slowness of the drinks and the slowness of the plate collection. First of all: we had a delicious meal! Because it's all-you-can-eat, I'm always curious about how fresh the food is and whether dishes have been prepared well in advance. In the first round, we had salads and a few dishes with bread. The salads were nice and fresh, the bread (pan) was delicious! The toast on the bruschetta was soft and a bit limp (probably had been waiting a while). That last part was the most striking thing for us. Because everything else we ordered tasted good, with lovely flavors and a wide variety. The plate collection and delivery went smoothly (the restaurant was almost full). People came by regularly for drinks. And I didn't mind walking over to the bar, where we were also served promptly. All in all: for the price you pay, we thought it was definitely worth it! Highly recommended.

We ate in Sittard yesterday. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. Such a bad experience that we wanted to leave without paying. (Of course, we paid the full amount.) We had made a reservation by phone, and on the way, we called to say we would be a little late due to a delay. They said they'd rather not, because they'd explain everything later and tell us approximately how long it would take for someone to come to your table. We also indicated that we were familiar with the concept, so the explanation wasn't necessary. With their approval, we arrived a little late, but they would tell us how long it would take for someone to come to our table. Once we arrived, we were politely greeted and escorted to our table. We weren't told beforehand how long it would take for someone to come to our table. While we were ordering our food and drinks, we had a question, which was answered politely. We could easily wait between 20 and 45 minutes for our drinks, but the food arrived even faster and wasn't at the table at the same time as our drinks. The bread you're offered beforehand while waiting didn't arrive until sometime during rounds 2 or 3. What struck us most was that new staff were being trained at a very busy time, which caused extra chaos. We were served things we hadn't ordered six times. We had 2.5 hours, but after 1 hour and 15 minutes, we got up and walked to the bar. The only staff members we had at our table were actually polite and helpful. The rest of the staff were not enjoyable and were very rude to customers. The food itself was excellent; it was delicious and well-prepared. We were waiting to pay, and we noticed that several people were already complaining about the situation. Apologies are common, but they're not particularly good at finding solutions or offering compensation. Finally, it was our turn to pay; we paid part of the bill in cash and the rest by card. The ATM had no reception, making withdrawing money impossible. After 15 minutes and six attempts, we finally managed to withdraw the remaining funds. Even after we'd satisfactorily explained our situation, we received no apologies for the inconvenience, and so on. All in all, we'll never go back to Sittard to eat. It was truly scandalous how they treat their customers.

The food is excellent. It's also brought to our table relatively quickly. What I found downright awful this time: A server came by with a tray full of drinks, and shards flew across our table and onto the floor... drinks all over our clothes... and we barely sat there for five minutes. No apologies, nothing. They removed the glass from the floor. They didn't even mop it; everything was sticky. After I asked for new plates, glasses, and drinks (there were actually shards of glass in the glasses) and hadn't drunk any of them yet, they only brought us new glasses. The table itself was completely cleaned. I then asked again for new drinks, which we received afterward. We're usually satisfied here. The lighting wasn't great either, very brightly shone on us. But then again, you can't adjust that quickly.

This was not tasty and bad just

Haven't been back for a while, as the food was always excellent, but the tapas often just didn't quite cut it. We went back with the updated menu and were pleasantly surprised. The new appetizers tasted good, but dishes from the past also seemed to be more to our liking this time. The cocktails are very sweet but not unpleasant. They probably aren't very strong, but then again, they're not expensive. The air conditioning could perhaps have been turned on a bit earlier, but I didn't mention that it was getting very stuffy. We'll be back sooner this time, now that it's no longer an annual "well, what do you think? It's okay, but affordable" kind of thing.

The food has deteriorated; almost nothing is gluten-free anymore. My mother used to enjoy her food here, but not anymore. Also, the meat is heavily seasoned and burnt. It's a shame, because it used to be a pleasant and good place.

Last night, the two of us had a wonderful evening enjoying delicious dishes. We asked the waitress (Fajah) how to play, and she explained them to us in a fun and spontaneous way, checking in frequently to see if everything was to our liking. We will definitely be back.

It was quite busy that evening, but despite that, they remained polite and helpful. We'll definitely be back. We've been here several times, and they never cease to amaze us. I rarely write negative reviews, but the service today was so subpar that I want to warn future guests before booking here. After a positive experience with the La Cubanita branch in Eindhoven, we decided to make a reservation in Sittard with the family. We arrived at 6:00 PM and were promptly escorted to our table. Our drinks order was taken at 6:15 PM, and the first round of food arrived at 6:30 PM, but the drinks were delayed. Only after a delay were they served with an apology. It was warm in the restaurant, so we ordered more drinks at 6:45 PM. However, by 7:00 PM, nothing had arrived. When I inquired at the bar, I discovered the receipt was missing. At 7:30 PM, I inquired again; the waitress assured us the drinks were on their way. Finally, I had to go back to the bar myself at 7:50 PM, and the drinks weren't served until 8:00 PM. For an all-you-can-eat menu including drinks at a fixed price, this service is downright disappointing. There was clearly a staff shortage to keep the restaurant running. Fortunately, the food was served quickly and was delicious, although the sweet potato fries and pork tenderloin with bacon were lukewarm. Plates were cleared fairly quickly, but empty glasses were left everywhere, not just at our table. The carpaccio we ordered from the first round was initially forgotten, but delivered promptly after reordering. A second star for the food, which was excellent. Upon paying, we raised our concerns again. We received another apology, stating that it was busy and staff were limited. As management, you should either hire more staff or allow fewer guests. This is simply disappointing your guests, and I feel sorry for the waitresses who had to apologize to every table today for the long waits. Compensation was not forthcoming, so I paid the €122 bill and left disappointed. This was our last time.

I almost never write a review unless it was either amazing or disappointing. This was amazing! The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere couldn't have been better! The price was also great, by Dutch standards. I can't wait to go back!

Delicious varied food and a nice atmosphere

Disappointing experience at La Cubanita Unfortunately, our visit to La Cubanita was quite disappointing. Several dishes were served lukewarm, even cold. After politely pointing this out, we expected improvement, but subsequent rounds were barely warmer. It was striking that the plates were warmer than the food itself – a clear sign that some dishes were probably microwaved or oven-baked. With tapas, you expect freshly prepared food, not reheated appetizers. On top of that, it was stiflingly hot inside; it felt like we were eating in a sauna. This made the dinner physically uncomfortable and gave us a strong feeling that comfort and quality are unfortunately not the top priorities here. Especially considering the prices, we expected more. We won't be back anytime soon.

Teleurstellende ervaring – een echte flop! Eerst gedacht te gaan eten bij de Griek verderop in de straat, maar omdat die gesloten was, dan maar gekozen voor onbeperkt tapas. Helaas een grote vergissing! Het begon al met lange wachttijden tussen de gangen door. En als er dan eindelijk iets op tafel kwam, was het meestal teleurstellend. Veel gerechten leken gewoon kant-en-klare diepvries snacks, zonder enige moeite of versheid. De inktvis was ronduit slecht – taai en rubberachtig, alsof je op een stuk elastiek zat te kauwen. Tot overmaat van ramp waren al vroeg op de avond verschillende van de wat luxere (en normaal gesproken aantrekkelijkere) gerechten niet meer beschikbaar. Dit werd pas duidelijk nadat we ze meerdere keren hadden geprobeerd te bestellen – erg frustrerend. Geen aanrader wat ons betreft. Voor tapas kun je echt beter ergens anders heen gaan.

Het eten is prima voor die prijs. Leuke kaart en de meeste gerechtjes waren prima (behalve de biefstukpuntjes die veel te lang gebakken, gortdroog en taai waren). De bediening bij La Cubanita Sittard laat echter veel te wensen over. Lege bordjes bleven staan en werden pas weggehaald als ik erom vroeg, de gerechtjes werden niet geserveerd bij degene voor wie het gerecht was en ze leken vooral met andere zaken bezig te zijn dan klanten te bedienen. Op de koude gerechtjes ontzettend lang moeten wachten, terwijl deze juist snel en makkelijk te serveren zijn. Nadat de rekening gebracht werd, nam niemand de moeite om naar het tafeltje te komen zodat we ook daadwerkelijk konden betalen terwijl de zaak nagenoeg leeg was. Erg jammer, want bij een ander vestiging heb ik betere ervaringen. Mij zien ze niet meer terug.

The atmosphere remains good and the service is very friendly. The downside was that several dishes were served cold/lukewarm. Lukewarm fries were replaced without difficulty .... for lukewarm fries. Tasty combinations and a full meal.

Cosy tapas restaurant. Been here a few times for a nice evening out with tasty snacks. The service is friendly and does its best to keep up with the speed of the orders. It is indicated in advance that it is possible that not all orders will be on the table at the same time. This is true but is not disruptive, it runs smoothly. It is not the case that one person goes without food for a very long time and the other has already finished the food of the 'round'. Until next time!

After mixed reviews, we decided to eat here. I regret it like the hair on my head... the service was extremely disappointing. Had to wait 70 minutes for round 1 and was asked several times in the meantime if anything was coming. Extremely understaffed, which made the service rushed and unfriendly. The food was also mediocre, many things were cold or undercooked. I was sick that same night...no next time for us.

Cozy place with delicious dishes.

It was very nice and there was a lot of selection. Perfect for when you are with a group. You must have a smartphone to order and have to do everything on the same page, but it is definitely worth it here. Service was very friendly and helpful.

Delicious food, but certainly no culinary delights, but we didn't expect that either. Orders came through reasonably well. The wait for drinks was quite long. I expected a little more from the atmosphere. All in all it wasn't disappointing. We had a nice evening here with 13 people.

There were many things missing from the various dishes, such as the capers and sun-dried tomato with the sea bass, so we got a bare sea bass. We also ran out of many things on the menu and we did not receive dishes that we had ordered. We both had stomach problems at night and the next day. So not recommended. Very nice staff.

The food is fine, but don't expect culinary delights. Of course, we wouldn't expect that for that price. This restaurant is a great choice for fun.

Nice place, if you really like tapas. It is wise to make it fun yourself and not to go there when you are very hungry. If you can get a nice half liter of draft beer, it will taste even better. Of course there are plenty of other drinks. I come there on average twice a year with friends. You definitely need two hours.

We ate here today. The food was excellent as usual. Unfortunately the service is a lot less! We were not asked if we wanted to use the film package. We therefore assumed that this was self-evident. At checkout it was said that this should have been asked at the beginning by one of the employees, this did not happen. We came to eat especially for this voucher. It was also not possible to add this to the bill afterwards or afterwards when paying. Considering this was the penultimate day for this deal, we expected an exception. Things went wrong in the beginning because the first order did not come through. then ordered again, then only the first round arrived after 20 minutes (everything double..) can happen, unfortunately that also happened with round 2 that it took a very long time, then ordered a 1/2 liter of beer and received a 0.3 cl, that reported and promptly handled. Downright the worst and saddest La Cubanita in the Netherlands! Put the staff's brains in a bird and the animal flies backwards! Reserved at 7:45 PM, table was only available at 7:55 PM. Orders that did not arrive and for which we had to wait forever. Food/meat that is served burnt. Tables that are not cleared. Not even worthy of 1 star!

I had dinner here on Saturday evening with a friend of mine. I ordered the tuna tacos and they were just frozen and the water just ran out. The carpaccio had no taste at all and was still frozen. I also had shrimp and they were just completely burnt and hard. I thought it was all mediocre, I have to be honest. The calamari was tasty, but the rest was disappointing. So mediocre... and that for 40 euros...

I don't know whether it is due to a shortage of staff, but for a very nice and tasty concept, the quality has unfortunately gone down considerably. Bland food, little creativity, having to wait 20 minutes between the first snack served and the last of a round. Twice received a melted pile of ice cream which was put on the table with a smile. Doesn't the service also see that this should have been ice cream? We won't be coming back here for a while. We receive better help in Maastricht. I hope that they can also restore the Cubanita standard in Sittard. The All-in package is nice, but if they only bring 3 rounds in 2.5 hours, no one will be full (the restaurant was not even half full)

I was here last Sunday with a team outing, very fast service and you had just ordered the food when they were already at the table with the dishes. Friendly staff, who like a joke and are very quick to clear away dirty plates, etc. Had a great evening 😁

Eten was best oké. Niet echt speciaal. De wachttijden waren echt vreselijk. Meerdere keren moeten vragen waar alles bleef. Zelfs de drank duurde 30 minuten. 3 uur binnen geweest en twee drankjes gehad. Zucht.

It's a nice tent if you're going out with colleagues for an evening. We went with a colleague who only liked la cubanita...the boy who served us the most was friendly and cheerful. Nothing to complain about... the next day both had diarrhea... no, next time back to a real restaurant... we paid (with tip) 180 with 4 people (Whit Monday -- >weekend rate). Oh, the orders are placed via a QR code on your own smartphone... so make sure it is properly charged... and order the first two rounds as close together as possible... it does take some time. between....but the friendly service also tells you that For the people who are worried about money... you have to pay for the desserts separately... they are not included in the 2.5 hours of free eating.... Pineapple cocktail was highly recommended...

The music school that used to be in this building radiated more than La Cubanita. Don't come here for fun. We sat at a table for 2 people in the aisle of the service area. People were walking all around us. What do you mean, eat quietly? By the way, almost all of the food was cold and the portions were minimal. The All you can eat formula also applies if you order a lot. Not recommended and staff are unable to receive feedback effectively. We won't be eating here again.

Ate here for the first time today. Reservations were quick and easy via the website. Upon arrival we were kindly received and it was explained to us how ordering (via your telephone) works. Really simple… The ordered dishes and drinks were served quickly. It wasn't packed, so that helps with the speed :) There is a wide choice of tappas dishes and everything was delicious. We will definitely eat here more often 👌🏻

The decor is nice and cozy. The young, friendly staff do their best and orders are brought to your table quickly. However, the dishes are mediocre. You get an abundance of potato products (logical: they fill you up quickly), but the rest of the dishes are a lot lower in quality. You have to pay extra for the desserts. For the price you ultimately have to pay, it is on the mediocre side. The fact that there is no time limit is positive.

What a worthless place and staff that makes it very difficult for someone with a gluten allergy to serve the right food to the right person, and around 9:00/9:30 PM they come and casually say that the beer has run out, and I I ordered vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, what do you get ice cream with espresso in it? and guess what, they just took off the whipped cream and put new one on it and some chocolate sauce on top and the ice cream had melted in the espresso so what stupid girls, and also the promotion if you ordered a large coca cola you got socks with it I'm very happy to hear that, sorry, we only have large Coca Cola Zero. I said, well, what is that? Furthermore, they often came with the wrong orders while we were a group of 21 people!!!! And not to mention the Nacho dish as if the cook had sprinkled it with the open salt pot so it wouldn't be eaten. SO WE WILL NEVER SEE THEM THERE AGAIN!!!!!!
