The toilet flash was broken and dirty

La Place... a real trucker-cafe vibe. It's not cozy, there's no romance, just tables from a trucker's cafe and overpriced food. The food is okay, but paying €20 for a bottle of iced tea, a hamburger, and some fries... that's a bit too expensive for the experience you get. Friendly young staff.

We came on Friday at 7pm but she closed earlier😒

I arrived at the restaurant well before closing time, but the employee told me they were closing early and wouldn't let me in. No explanation, no apology, nothing at all. This is truly terrible service. If you want to close early, at least post the correct times online or indicate it clearly. I definitely won't be back. ---

It's cold and poorly maintained. The food is like all La Place restaurants, so expensive and nothing special. The service isn't very friendly.

Two steaks, one satay. 75 euros more. The steak was still cold inside. The satay came out of a plastic bag, was lukewarm, and more fat than meat. The fries were somehow fried too late. Oh, and 55 cents for three drops of fries sauce.

Well, nothing to write home about... focaccia chicken with apple and cranberry (couldn't find any cranberry, compote, or jam!) The pea soup wasn't hot, so it wasn't quite the right temperature. There was dried coffee on the floor by the table, so that's not from today...yuck! The so-called pee toilets weren't clean either; you had to remove the dried urine from the seats first. A trickle of urine came from the tap, making washing your hands almost impossible, which is probably why there weren't any towels to dry your hands; or at least, it just wasn't necessary.

This is what you get with your burger in terms of fries. You pay for the fries too. It looks like a child's portion. Ridiculous.

Wow Merry Christmas, what a shame

Terrible. You order fries with pulled chicken, but you get red cabbage and mushrooms on your fries. Unfriendly, disinterested staff who don't respond to complaints.

Very meager! Inedible. By 6:00 PM, everything was gone. Very poor service.

We went to eat at La Place Leiden Dorp, but it was a real disappointment. There were only two employees: one girl working like crazy behind the counter, and the other was at the cash register on her phone when she had nothing to do. A customer asked her something about the food, and her response was literally, "I'm not there, am I?"—not exactly customer-friendly. The girl behind the counter did her utmost, but received absolutely no help. In addition, there was hair in the food, which is of course really unhygienic. It all took a very long time. In the end, we had to cancel our pizzas because they would take at least another hour to be ready. It was a real shame, because we were looking forward to a pleasant meal, but the service, hygiene, and organization were far below par.

The entrance looks grimy, with sand on the stairs and a filthy carpet. The food is laid out, but you can tell it's lacking in love. Burnt focaccia rolls are simply spread and displayed instead of being thrown away. When I ask for a non-burnt tuna salad roll, I'm given one with a thin layer of tuna salad and a rather unfriendly expression like, "How dare you ask us to do that?" No, the cheerful, cozy La Place of yesteryear no longer exists in Leiderdorp.

This La Place isn't exactly what you'd expect. Compared to other La Place locations, it's a bit of a letdown. The staff is okay, but the location and ambiance are a bit of a diner.

Tuna salad with focaccia used to be much tastier and more filling. It was disappointing.

Sunday, September 21st, at 1:30 PM. Arrived at the checkout. €36, sir. Paid with a €50 note. Sir, can you pay the exact amount? No, sorry, I only have a €50 note. The female manager is standing a bit away, yelling that she doesn't have an ATM. Okay, I apologized. I left the food and drinks. Off to the other La Place 10 minutes away. There was change there. And less snarky. Apparently, she was having a bad day?

Large, empty, and uninviting. With all the other eateries nearby, it seems like La Place is on its last legs. Much needs to change to make it more appealing.

The place has what you want when you're on the road

Very disappointed. Tough, lukewarm steak, schnitzel almost black. The salad bar was empty, even though we paid for it. Last time we'll be back.

Absolutely terrible. I haven't had such a bad meal out in a long time. A (I think) deep-fried schnitzel. With a small amount of glazed, overcooked fries. The schnitzel was very greasy, no sauce. For over 20 euros, without any vegetables. It's very quiet in the restaurant... I understand that, because the MC and KFC next to the Leiderdorp branch are major competitors. Apparently, La Place can't win that. I went for a good meal. Not again next time. I feel cheated!

Quite expensive for a self-service restaurant. In my opinion, the food is too expensive for what you get.

Yes... it's not a three-star restaurant, but okay... it was a bit chilly and too quiet for dinnertime. Plenty of choice of different dishes that are prepared on-site... you get a buzzer, and when your food is ready, you're alerted by a buzzer... Wide selection of drinks... The tables were clean and not sticky. The tables and chairs were comfortable; you can sink into the bench a bit to eat at a good height. Yes, I'll definitely come back when the time comes.

Lovely to go to La Place again. That was disappointing. Many dead flies in the window frame, the croissants were still raw inside and it was old inside. We did get freshly made rolls and the toilets were very clean.

Arrived before then 19u30 there /all was already stored. They don't want to work more than 30 min before the store is closed. Also the unfriendness - omg Terrible place

Atmosphereless whole, overdue maintenance old

I'm a member and if I come across it on my way I always eat there.

We arrived an hour before closing time, but they were already cleaning up. There wasn't much choice left. We had lukewarm soup and a sandwich.

While you charge you're Tesla enjoy a cappuccino or other drink of your choice and have bruch, lunch or dinner. Great food

When you enter you are not even greeted normally by the employee, apparently called (Denise). The atmosphere was very strange. Then kindly helped by a lady with glasses and there was also a sweet young man who occasionally chatted. Then the 'manager' apparently came to make it clear to me and her own staff that she had to get to work and that I was hanging around too much? I got into an argument with the lady, I have never experienced this before! I was sitting there with my 7 year old son who hears and sees everything. I was treated so badly and that by a so-called manager, a terrible person, yuck yuck yuck! Tip for the regional managers of LaPlace: teach the managers among you to be friendly and polite managers because that was far and away the case! Now I understand why the restaurant was empty.

First time eating here. What immediately stood out was that there were a lot of flies. The flies were on all the food, very dirty. Also a lot of cobwebs in the place. Dirty tables. I still get the shivers when I think back. You won't see us here again.

Free tap water. Where else can you find that in this country? Great.

On April 27 at 5:26 PM we have salad vegetables, tomato soup and a chicken leg meal with fries. soup was tasteless, salad brown sides and chicken top black. we have never experienced this before.

When you order something vegetarian, they have a complete disk that floats on the baking tray in the fat of the burger next to it. And then the reaction of the staff. Well, we only have 1 baking tray... Well, putting a pan on it works wonders. Or just don't offer it. In the past you could fill 3 sandwiches with what was on each sandwich. Now a dried out pita with two slices of tomato, 2 slices of mozzarella and a touch of pesto, oh yes and not to forget the 3 leaves of lettuce for around 7 euros. You'll be ashamed of yourself

Friendly and sweet staff members who are happy to do anything for you. But the food was not good: schnitzel tasted strange, uneaten. Smoothies had apparently been there all day, so you shouldn't have them. What happened to La Place of yesteryear, with original dishes and everything super fresh?

Delicious burgers (Mac U can say that), nice children's menu with fresh sandwich or pancakes, some raw vegetables and a juice of your choice. Nice atmosphere, not busy. A pleasant experience every time 👌🏻

Food was fine, but had to wait a very long time

We come here regularly with the girls. The offer differs slightly from other branches. The lady at the checkout was very friendly, I got a free pastry especially for my birthday which was 3 weeks ago, since I didn't want those nut pastries she immediately made one with strawberries. 🎂 Enough seating places both inside and outside. Small but also long tables, or a secluded spot with chill benches. There are enough lamps hanging there but it certainly makes the atmosphere nicer. 🏮 The terrace outside is big enough, you do look at the highway/green but better than nothing. Enough and free parking space in front of the door. 🌳 Play area for children but also for machine fans available ✌️

Food is limited. The staff at this location was extremely rude and obviously annoyed by her job and by clients. So much so that I dis not dare ask for a second meal. Horrible.

We came for a sandwich while charging the car. Chicken bean sprouts were tasty. It was quiet when we arrived, but gradually more people arrived. When I reported that the toilets had run out of paper towels, I was informed that they may no longer be used. Later I was thinking that it would be better to remove the towel machines as well, then you won't go wrong either.

Too bad we got an angry girl, her name is Denise, he made two sandwiches for us, my small child said hello to her more than 10 times but she didn't answer. My child is three years old.

Dirty toilets, dusty hall, and unfortunately no real whipped cream with our apple pie, but at other la place establishments we do have delicious real whipped cream. Coffee was tasty and the lady at the cash register was also friendly, but overall we wouldn't repeat it.

Food was pretty bad, the schnitzel had a very strong smell and taste likely due to poor meat quality. Chicken thighs were not tender. Salads seemed nice but tasted average to low.

Food was tasty but pricey, drinks are also quite pricey. Also good for when you are on the road and want to get something other than the standard fast food.

Unfriendly and discriminated staff, you don't feel welcome. If you go in with a headscarf it's even worse. It is easy to see that staff only come to earn their money and go home. It is better to hire young people, perhaps they are better at communication. Games are dirty. I didn't expect that Leiderdorp.

Nasty mess. Floor full of rubbish and junk, including a lot of dust. Salmon sandwiches are more cream cheese than salmon. Staff has no intention of doing anything about it. So it's going backwards fast.

Expensive and not tasty. Hamburger with fries was mega expensive. When the hamburger arrived it was on a crumpled bun. So small from the supermarket. Really ridiculous for that price.

Beautiful quiet extensive location. Neat, customer-friendly link, short waiting times, everything neatly replenished. Enough choice. Nicely decorated. We will definitely come back. Toilets are clean.

Well what we experienced yesterday, we wanted to have something to eat, my brother-in-law first went to the disabled toilet, what he found there was terrible, the entire toilet was covered in feces, the walls, the floor, never seen anything like that before, now we know why. it was so quiet in the restaurant, I will never go there again, we are going to activate the Commodities Act.

Lots of people outside, nothing special inside and sandwiches quite pricey.

Friendly and helpful staff. The building is big and aerie and has some real life plants inside. An allright place to have a coffee and do some laptop work or zone out for a bit. If you're sound sensitive and need to concentrate, bring earplugs (as always). The veggie soup was lukewarm, so I got to swap it for a hot tomato soup that looked and tasted like tomato paste out of a can. Even a fair amount of salt couldn't save this idea of a soup. They had some good classic rock tracks going though, no commercial breaks, as it should be. Made me feel like I was about to pick up a toothpick and continue my roadtrip through the American desert.

Food was 'La Place' nice , place looks clean. We got the sense, as in more La Place restaurants, staff is stressed / place is understaffed (overly cutting cost?), so respect for what the staff available accomplishes

Breakfast a joke, coffee machine was cleaned so no coffee. 1 sandwich, 1 croissant and a smoothie for a ridiculous amount of money.

My husband had fallen outside and had a few deep abrasions, there was no first aid, but there were a few plasters and coffee for fright. That was very nice, thank you.

It's not really pleasant there. Great for a quick bite. It is clean there. The food is too expensive for what you get. It would be better to go to a real restaurant where you will be served, so you don't have to clean up after yourself.

Relaxed food, fries were delicious, steak was fine, but the (pre-cooked) satay was lukewarm (below 60 degrees). That was a disappointment!

Everything from the floor to the glasses you use is dirty. The fries were still half raw and dripping with grease. The staff is more concerned with each other than with the customer. The chicken satay was not tasty, had hard pieces in it. No more dinner at la place for us

Smoothie (strawberry coconut) was tasteless, dirty glasses (old lipstick still on them), dirty cutlery and portions too small for the price you pay. Very dirty toilets, even though I came in the morning and there was hardly anyone there. Was very disappointing, I won't go here again.

Disgusting. Terrain was filled with trash, playground dirty and filled with trash. Cups and glasses were filthy. Toilets were ridiculously filthy. Staff was friendly, but we wont visit again.

Not really a cozy la place, but they do have a (limited) salad bar with grilled vegetables etc that you can put together yourself.

Did this La Place on the way back. Wasn't too busy. The entrance is a bit hidden between KFC and a hotel. We had taken twelve hours. Serve your own soup (lentil soup) and we had a croquette sandwich and fried egg. Too bad the decoration was very boring without any fuss. (Baldness is an asset, dry sandwich with fried egg with a slice of cheese on top and a dry sandwich with croquette).

Just a cup of coffee, we were on our way. Great coffee and tasty lunch. Friendly staff.

Nice quiet location. Hadn't been there for a long time, came more often when I was still working. I downloaded the app and then it turned out, I had to wait a while, that my fresh mint tea was free. That was a nice "Enter"! We had a nice chat and had lunch with a delicious raspberry, apple and pear juice, really tasty and kept fresh between the ice! Grilled pepper sandwich with arugula, also very tasty. Had a nice day, partly because of this La Place 🏵️🌸🌷!

How impersonal. Enough space. No gluten-free products. Shame.

Very bad experience. We wanted to have something to eat at 6:30 PM. Salad bar was completely empty, soup bowls were dirty, smoothies were gone. In the end I only ordered a pancake children's menu twice. Each child received two supermarket pancakes (burnt on the bottom), one mountain of whipped cream and two pre-packed containers of jam. To compensate, a bowl of wilted raw vegetables. Surprise was missing. First and last time!

Very bad service by the person at the grill station not treating us well. There was no one behind me in the line and the lady was very rude and upset trying to hurry me up with my order not giving proper information. Just the way she treated me ruined my dinner.

Boxing Day. . Not busy, staff said it was very busy earlier in the day. Sat at the window with a beautiful view, would love to come back when it is a bit warmer!

We were here for a cup of coffee on the Saturday before Christmas. Almost no customers in the shop, which made it less atmospheric. The apple cake had clearly been there for a while, judging by the dry outer edges. Coffee always delicious at La place.

Lekkere broodjes en soep maar helaas een vieze restaurant. De bestek was vies met vlekken en etensresten erop. Tafels waren helaas ook vies.

Prima assortiment, de schnitzel met frites smaakte goed. Alleen duurde het wat lang voordat het eten klaar was, terwijl het op het moment dat wij er wsren erg rustig was.

Het is dat ik er niet ver vandaan woon , maar anders had ik niet meer gekomen. Broodje zalm... de zalm was ver te zoeken.... het was meer een Broodje kruidenkaas. Wil je nog een Broodje kip.. zijn de focacias op. Niet geleverd. De vorige keer zat er zeer weinig kip en saus op het Broodje.

La Place siempre tiene comida de muy buen sabor, eso es lo que me gusta. Hubo un descuento de hamburguesas con papas que estuvieron buenísimas.

Altijd lekker, veel eerlijke, natuurlijke producten. Vrij duur.

Heel rustig plekje voor een heerlijke lunch of ontbijt , lekker gegeten, aardige mensen, bedankt La place 🙏🏼

Soms twijfelen we waar we met ons zoontje van 2 zullen eten. Het voordeel van la place is dat er vaak iets te spelen is voor de kleintjes. Hier was dat ook zo. We hebben er fijn gegeten.

Smoothies nog gewoon in glazen ipv plastic. Gratis toiletten, lekker eten, goede prijzen (aanbiedingen en La Place-app).
