La Place Express in De Weteringschans

The coffee is small, expensive and tasteless.

I'll start by saying that the place has a very nice and well-decorated atmosphere, very attractive, but there's nowhere to sit since it's an express location (take-out only). The sandwiches are on focaccia bread and are 10/10, mouthwatering, and the juices are also good and very cheap. The service was good too. I highly recommend going there, it's worth it, but if you want to sit down, go to the other location that isn't an express location.

Excellent sandwiches. I saw a couple of other La Place restaurants around, and they simply weren’t as good. I assumed they all served the same things, but they didn’t. I had a pesto and prosciutto focaccia. The bread was beautifully fresh and soft, and it had plenty of filling. If you’re out exploring or shopping and need to grab a bite, I highly recommend it.

May 2024 Just small changed this outlet, different kind of focaccia served, now only € 7,50 for a focaccia and a smoothie .... that is a real good deal. Or all day breakfast deal. Only 5 focaccia's, the La Place coffee. The shop has a nicer and brighter look and feel.

Best take away sandwiches in Amsterdam!! They have a very good value for money. Also the staff is very kind

What the name suggests; Express. Don't expect a large La Place with an extensive range, but just a simple togo with chilled drinks, coffees and some popular sandwiches. No place to sit, so for on the road.

Hele mooie locatie voor een snelle gezonde hap met Vriendelijk personeel. Overigens wel jammer dat er geen zit plek is zoals bij concurrent Starbucks.

Enorm lekkere koffie, goede broodjes. Daarnaast erg vriendelijk geholpen! De uitstraling zag er modern gelikt uit. Mooie toevoeging voor de Leidsestraat!!
