Beautiful restaurant. We were seated quickly and it wasn’t busy at the time we visited. We enjoyed all the dishes. The food was flavorful with well-balanced spices and good depth of flavor. The service could use some improvement, but overall it was a good experience.

Definitely something different. Delicious authentic Afghan food for a reasonable price. Diagonally across from the Ginnekenmarktje, you couldn't be in a better location.

A lovely, homely restaurant in the south of Breda. I'd never eaten Afghan food before, so I really had no idea what to expect. If I had to describe it to someone who also has no clue, I'd call it a cross between Indian and Nepalese. Many Indian dishes resemble it, such as pakora, biryani, and tandoori meat. We chose the surprise menu and were pleasantly surprised by the selection. We started with three small mini snacks, followed by a large platter of mixed meat with accompanying side dishes, and two desserts afterward, including their homemade pistachio ice cream. The mandu, eggplant, and grilled meat were our favorites. The chai latte is also worth mentioning, given a new dimension by the addition of fresh ginger. The service was friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful meal with a large group! The reserved seating was very cramped, but manageable. The food took quite a while to be served, including the time between courses. BUT! The food was delicious, which is something you don't often encounter! The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.

Delicious Afghan food. We took the tasting menu, where you can try almost everything on the menu. Highly recommended. The staff were very friendly and explained all the dishes and took excellent care of us.

Our group had another delicious meal here. The food was well explained. The four-course tasting menu, of course, offered a wide variety of dishes. Not too spicy, with refined flavors. Our vegetarians were also very satisfied. The waitress even took a lovely group photo of us. Several of us will definitely be back with our partners.

The food was delicious, and you really get a lot for your money. We opted for the four-course menu, and everything was excellent. We received tea on the house... friendly staff 😉

Even after 6 times it remains a lovely surprise with excellent spices,vegtables and free extra's if required...portions are more than enough. All in all fully reckommandable... 🙂 Our friends enjoyed it too and will become regular guests. Rene

The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and welcoming, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. You really feel welcome here. An absolute must for anyone who wants to taste authentic Afghan cuisine. We will definitely be back! ⏪

Delicious food in this Afghan restaurant! Food was very tasty. Naan was a bit disappointing. The cardamom ice cream is recommended.

We went there for a four-course meal. For the price you pay, you unfortunately get very little on the table. For example: three tablespoons of soup, one very small samosa, one aashak and one mantu pps. Not really repeatable for us, unfortunately. The meat was a bit on the hard side, and the Afghan ice cream (sheer yakh) was just regular ice cream – nothing special. There was also no salad, which I personally find a big minus. So unfortunately not repeatable for us.

Today we have been to that restaurant with my girlfriend. We were quite pleased with delicious food, friendly-kind service and relaxing atmosphere. Before we leave, manager gave us a small bottle of Afghan spicy as a present, that was kind. We will absolutely visit that place again.

The taste of the food is really not what I am used to from Afghan cuisine. The portions were also not what I expected in advance. Very small portions for a generous amount. The service did not really know what was on the menu. The kofte was bland and the same applied to ashak. What I also find a pity is that your website says halal restaurant but in fact alcohol is served in your restaurant. Is this really necessary guys? I understand that a certain target group asks this of you but is it difficult to stick to your own standards and values? After all, you are your own boss over your assortment. Or do you need alcohol to get customers. A lot less barakah is the big result.

I expected a bit more from this restaurant. The staff was not well informed about the menu, the portions of rice were on the small side and the kofta was not seasoned as you would normally expect. We also found it a pity that alcohol was served in a restaurant that profiles itself as ‘Afghan’. So the restaurant should definitely not call itself a halal restaurant. All in all a disappointment.

Bad ice cream. We expected better ice cream. I do not recommend the ice cream.

We had a great meal again and the staff was very friendly. It is often cold in the restaurant in winter. This is a shame but we tried out tables and eventually took the first table and the heater was turned up warmer. Furthermore, really great food and cozy!!! 👌 Recommended 😋 Satisfied customers. 🫠

A small downside is that they don't accept the Dinner Gift voucher. That's why I chose them and I've never found any information anywhere that they don't accept them on weekends. Overall everything was fine, but not great.

Had a wonderful meal at this atmospheric restaurant! Upon entering, my wife and I were kindly welcomed by the two beautiful and friendly waitresses. We were able to enjoy a delicious 4-course introductory dinner where we received a nice explanation about the small dishes with each course. At the end of the dinner we were kindly surprised with a delicious gift. ;) This was truly an experience to never forget. I personally will put this restaurant in a 'must visit' booklet of Breda!! AMAZING!

We had a 4-course introductory menu where all dishes from the menu were served in small quantities. Everything was delicious and more than enough. They also took good account of 1 vegetarian. The vegetarian dishes were neatly served separately and looked just as beautiful as the rest. Really something different!!

The introductory menu was delicious. Many different dishes per course, giving you a nice introduction to Afghan cuisine. The ladies serving were attentive and very friendly.

It would be really nice if the young lady at our table also explained the dishes as they are meant to be. So not cardamom ice cream with pistachio, but yaardaagh and then an explanation, that makes it all a bit more authentic.

Well okay. Like most Arabic restaurants in Breda this one is also nice, a bit expensive for what you get and not really special. Worth it? Meh.... in itself. I'm not very enthusiastic about it. It was nice, period!

We were kindly received. The menu was clearly explained. The introductory tasting is highly recommended. This way you get a little taste of many things on the menu. It was very neat, clean and the food was served quickly, but not too quickly, with clear explanations. The price was fair, also for the drinks. It's nice that the portions are small and you can order more if you're short on food. Prevents waste. We will definitely enjoy this cuisine more often. Highly recommended.

We ate here yesterday with some friends. We are all vegetarian, so we ordered the three-course menu. We received three starters for the first course, all three of which unfortunately contained meat. After indicating this, an apology was made and we received drinks for free for the rest of the evening. The food itself was fine, but getting meat dishes did hinder part of the experience for me. The portions were not huge, especially for the main course (see photo), but you could ask for extra of all dishes without paying an extra charge, but for €33.50 you expect to get a filling plate. The service seemed busy with other things and after sitting for almost 2 hours we had to ask if we could have something to drink. Furthermore, when the service came, it was polite and friendly. With these things in mind I arrive at this score.

The food was surprisingly tasty. Wonderfully spiced but not overpowering. We opted for a 3-course menu. Highly recommended. The service was friendly, we had plenty of time to enjoy the menu.

My wife and I were positively surprised. Nice price-quality ratio. And the food is really exotic and delicious. It was a chilly evening in March. The entire restaurant was pleasantly full. We do not give the 5th star for atmosphere because of the cold that occasionally came in when new guests entered, but they forgot to close the thick entrance curtain. BBbbrrrr. Won't be an issue in less cold months.

Yesterday we had dinner at Laziz with a group of 14 people. It was excellent in every way! We opted for the 4 course menu. Extensive & very tasty. Laziz succeeds in putting a special meal on the table for a very reasonable price. Absolutely recommended!

An evening out with friends. We love to try something new. I have eaten at an Afghan restaurant before. So of course we started comparing. We opted for the 4-course tasting. Indicated that 1 of our group has a wheat allergy. This was taken into account every round! Very nice. The food was delicious every time! Definitely something different than normal. And we enjoyed every round. But compared to the other restaurant, their dishes were a bit more neutral. No spectacular flavors that were surprising to us. A cozy tent, with clear Afghan influences. But this too was not over the top, so just good! Good food, nice evening, good service. But it won't be 5 stars for us. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to get acquainted with Afghan cuisine! Really different but not too extreme.

Nice restaurant, friendly service, there was a hair on my napkin, this was immediately noticed by the waitress and the napkin was replaced. The food was okay, as a starter I had sambosa vegetarian (4 crispy puff pastry flaps with vegetable filling) the flaps were not crispy, the taste was okay. As a main course I had narinj palauw (saffron rice with a topping of orange peel), which I really liked. Du pejaza (oriental spiced lamb, served in a spiced sauce of onion and garlic) I personally found the meat very dry and not really tasty or actually a lack of taste, kado (baked pumpkin in a slightly spicy sauce) this was tasty. The main course was served with Tandoori naan and sauces, which was otherwise fine. My table companion had Morgh Tandoori (tender chicken fillet served with bell pepper & onion in a spiced garlic sauce). The chicken fillet was very tender and very tasty. Sabzie (spiced spinach with onion & leek) has a special taste, qabeli palauw (traditional brown rice with a topping of carrot strings, raisins, almonds & pistachio) delicious! We ordered 3 dishes for dessert Namely: Baklava (sweet puff pastry snacks with pistachio) personally I found this very dry. Sheer yaagh (homemade cardamom ice cream with fresh pistachio) I personally thought this was the tastiest!! And Verni (pudding based on rose water and cardamom with fresh fruit) this was also fine, I was only surprised that the Baklava and the pudding were 3 pieces. Furthermore, the portions of meat and vegetables are small, but you could order several dishes, we are not at all familiar with Afghan cuisine, so for me personally it is not worth repeating.

Coming into this place was already lovely not able to close the door but that’s on me! Greeted by the nicest smile I have seen in a while we were brought to our table. We took the tasting menu and with the help of great people in the kitchen we tasted the world. Afghanistan being in the middle we tasted East Asian south Asian and western flavors all coming together. It truly was a great experience and I could not wait to advice it to My friends and family. Defiantly coming back soon It’s the first time Tasting international good food in Breda coming here every week 2 years now !!!!

Our introduction to Afghan cuisine. We received good suggestions and were advised. Ultimately we opted for a surprise introductory menu. A kind of Afghan tapas. Very surprising and gluten free was no problem at all. There were certainly dishes that I would come back for again.

We enjoyed it immensely, what deliciousness. We went for the 4 course menu and now know for next time what we want or don't want, but actually everything was tasty, I make Indian food myself and it is delicious but often spicy, you can taste the refinement and diversity of Afghan food. . The boy and the girl were also really friendly and explained everything neatly. The restaurant was full, but the two of us were able to run it well. 5 *****!!!!!

Had a delicious meal at Laziz tonight. We had the 4 course menu for 37 euros. Soup was tasty, not too much. Then mantoe, ashak, pakora and samosa, everything delicious. Although the mantu could have been a bit more seasoned, we thought. As a main course a mix of meat: chicken, veal and minced meat. The minced meat in particular was really great. Plus 3 types of rice, all delicious. But the portion was a bit small. Luckily we got an extra plate for free. Great service! Also many small portions of side dishes. The highlights were the eggplant and the chicken/beef dishes. Dessert was also great, we especially loved the baklava and the pistachio ice cream. Furthermore, lovely girls in the service who greeted nicely and took the coats We will definitely come back!

I grew up with Afghan food and I must say that Laziz's food really belongs to the top of Afghan food. This was such a great experience that I will definitely use the catering and food at the restaurant more often. I had many guests who had never had Afghan food before and they all raved about the food as well. Thanks to the catering, I was also completely unburdened at home. The plates were neatly taken back. So there was no washing up for me either. I also found it very useful to submit the quote request with my personal choices. I soon received a call from the owner and she gave me some advice about the choices, which I really liked. All in all a great experience. If you want to try Afghan cuisine, this is definitely one of your best options!
