The food and service are excellent. The restaurant's decor is rather bland and therefore doesn't exude any unwelcoming atmosphere. It's a shame, as I'd like everyone to enjoy the delicious food, but then it should reflect that more, rather than those benches and the tasteless lighting. Best regards, Gerrie.

I arranged catering for a large group of 80+ people for a party. The food was delicious. The meal was also excellent for vegan and halal guests. The buffet was handled perfectly, and the collaboration regarding delivery and pickup was pleasant. There was plenty of room for fine-tuning details. We were able to create a delicious meal for everyone present.

FANTASTIC, I can't describe it any other way, every time. It's worth the 45-minute drive. Make sure you make a reservation, otherwise there's no place. What you see in the photo is the rijsttafel (rice table) for €77.00. It's for 2 people, but I'm taking the leftovers home because it's enough for 3.

Wow, what delicious food they have here! Yesterday I ordered online from Loro Blonyo for the first time, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The quality and taste of the food were superb. It also arrived right on time, and everything was nice and hot and fresh—even the prawn crackers. Delicious restaurant-quality food delivered to your home—highly recommended, in my opinion.

I picked up nasi goreng rendang last week. A generous portion, it tasted great. The rendang was perfectly cooked and seasoned just like an Indo would prepare for their family.

A while ago I asked Loro Blonyo if they could also provide a vegan menu for catering. That same morning I received a newly composed menu and everything was settled. Last weekend everyone enjoyed the food immensely. Everything was super well organized, the warming trays are great and the food was delicious. This will be my recommendation to anyone looking for catering.

Original Indonesian and delicious food: Not too spicy for Europeans, unless you want it spicy. Very friendly service and hospitable.

My wife and I finally had a meal here today. It was our wedding anniversary. We had high expectations. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The food was "flat, flat".....not like Indonesian food should taste. (I may be used to something different because my wife is of Moluccan descent) It was really "Dutch" made. We had a rice table for 2. It was more than enough, that's true. For dessert I had cendol.....well...it was not good.....didn't taste like cendol. About the service: it was also disappointing. I'm used to them coming by every now and then to ask if everything was to our liking and if we needed anything. Unfortunately, we didn't see it....so I had to draw their attention every time. All in all.....this was our first.....and our last time.

Delicious dishes for a neat price! You can indicate how spicy they are. Nice operation. They did not ask much if we needed anything, while we were the last guests.

I've eaten here three times now, and here are my thoughts on improvements. I'm already a bit hesitant with a large menu, since I, as a chef, know the ins and outs of the kitchen. The kitchen staff can't prepare the entire menu fresh daily, meaning certain components end up frozen, sacrificing flavor and texture. (Which is understandable, but not desirable for gourmets.) When you order Iga bakar or Iga goreng, you don't get iga, but boneless short rib (the flavor comes from the bones). I understand it's a modern "2.0" interpretation, but for connoisseurs, this is a bit of a disappointment. You expect large chunks of meat, but you get small, sliced pieces. (When you order spareribs somewhere, you expect them to be gnawing. I understand that it's been adapted to a Western palate, but at the expense of the Indonesian essence.) Tasty, but not what you'd expect. The rendang was very tender and Western-style. It was most likely frozen, so the flavor was subpar, but acceptable by Dutch standards. Although the lemongrass sticks were fresh, they were "old" and tasteless (an imported product, so the fresh flavor quickly fades). The sate lilit was therefore a disappointment. It was also served in a pool of kecap manis (very unusual), which clashed with the flavor of the sate lilit and actually detracted from its taste, as sate lilit is supposed to taste "fresh" and spicy, resembling lime leaves and lemongrass. The sweet kecap doesn't balance it out, but actually neutralizes the fresh, spicy flavor, making it tasteless. Not recommended. The portions are very large, which I understand is highly desirable for Dutch people. Everything also comes with a lot of stir-fried vegetables, making it more Indo-Chinese, while the ikan woku has cauliflower and broccoli. Here too, the character of Manadonese cuisine is missing. There's little rempah, and it tasted more like a Thai-Dutch curry than Manadonese wok. No lemongrass, lime leaf, or kemangi flavors were present. All in all, the price-quality ratio is excellent. You don't pay too much, and the average diner will have lower expectations. However, the essence of Indonesian cuisine has disappeared due to the modern, disconnected cooking style. My advice: a smaller menu, more focus on the essence of dishes instead of the mass-produced food. Perhaps I'm being nitpicky, but I hope this is considered feedback. Na al enkele malen in het restaurant zelf te hebben gegeten, wat ons uitstekend was bevallen, besloten we samen met vrienden van de mogelijkheid tot bezorgen gebruik te maken. Ook dat was een zeer positieve ervaring. De bestelling werd niet alleen punctueel op het afgesproken tijdstip geleverd maar ook de bestelde combi gerechten waren verrukkelijk. Goed op smaak, mooie variaties en alles goed verpakt en nog warm. Dit zullen we zeker vaker doen, echt een aanrader!!

We have been meaning to eat here for quite some time. However, we have not been able to try anything so far. On Saturday evening at 8:00 PM we came by and saw a free table, but we were informed that the kitchen was already closed. Even though closing time is 9:30 PM. I don't normally write negative reviews for places I haven't been, but this is the second time this has happened. You can show me the door once, but not twice. There won't be a third time.

We didn't feel like cooking today and didn't feel like going out, so we decided to have the chefs from Loro Blonyo cook for us... It was, in one word, AWESOME... Mnomnomnom, highly recommended

Ik had me voorbereid op een smaakvolle diner. Helaas was het een grote teleurstelling. Er zat weinig smaakl aan alles. De pindasaus was snackbar pindasaus, de groenten misten smaak. De garnalen waren het enige wat lekker was. De Rendang had meer dan gemiddeld veel vetrandjes. De kip was droog en was naar mijn idee vaker opgewarmd. Kreeg daardoor een bijssmaak. Het hekpt ook niet in de beleving als je aangeeft dat het niet lekker was dat de serveerster zegt dat smaken verschillen. Al met al leek het een rijsttafel klaargemaakt door iemand die voor het eerst Indonesich eten gemaakt had en niet wist welke kruiden en hoeveel t egebruiken.

Great restaurant with an open kitchen. Have eaten 3 times now and picked up once. The dishes are all equally good, what great craftsmanship. The atmosphere of the restaurant is just okay, great seats, but because of the takeaway there is a lot of people coming and going, and the lighting is a bit less. Light enough, just no mood lighting. Compliments, we would love to come back.

Definitely recommended. We came to eat here because we were curious about the cuisine, and the restaurant looked very cozy from the outside. We chose a menu for two, because we didn't really know what we would like. The menu for two was more than enough for two people, we even had leftovers to take home. The food was very tasty, flavorful and filling. The menus consist of a combination of meat, fish and vegetable dishes with noodles or nasi. You can also taste that the food is fresh, very tasty. Furthermore, it was also affordable. The service was fast and polite. If you had any questions, they were there for you. We will definitely go back someday.

I really love this place. The food is amazing. It is so flavourfull and delicious, especially for me as a vegetarian there are a lot of options. Lovely place with very nice people who work there. Also kids friendly because they did not mind the sound my small children made. Can't wait to come back.

What a good restaurant. Food was excellent and the price affordable. Highly recommended. And you can also pick up. Unfortunately not real coca cola but pepsi. I think that is a real disadvantage. Last Friday we celebrated Mettom's 12.5th anniversary with Loro Blonyo's catering at our office for 40 people. The food was really delicious! Everyone enjoyed Tri and Andy's freshly prepared dishes. There was more than enough for everyone and allergies and vegetarians were taken into account. Everything was prepared on time, the food all stayed warm and looked neat, thanks to Frans. Thanks Loro Blonyo, you are definitely recommended for a company party!

Everything was super tasty, a big 10, but the cleaning of the restaurant needs to be done better. That should definitely receive more attention.

Gewoon eens uit nieuwsgierigheid naar binnen gelopen. Gekozen voor het combinatiemenu nasi goreng Kampung, uiteraard met een Bintang biertje. Het eten was erg goed op smaak, het is mooi om te proeven dat aan alle componenten van het menu juiste aandacht en zorg is gegeven. Fijne tent, no-nonsense, met alle focus op gewoon lekker eten, voor een prijs waar je geen buikpijn van krijgt. Normaliter is reserveren verstandig, overigens.

Echt Super lekker Indisch eten. Heerlijke rendang. Wij halen meestal af en dat bevalt ons goed, als in de zomer het terras buiten staan eten we daar ook wel eens. Binnen is de TL verlichting wat minder. Maar het eten is top.

We had dinner there again yesterday after having picked up take-out during the "corona period", which was disappointing; we were pleasantly surprised yesterday. We had menu bromo which is highly recommended! Delicious food, but be careful... the food is so tasty that you quickly eat way too much... it happened to me and it gives a wonderful feeling of satiety. I also thought it was a big plus that the intention itself asked if she could pack the rest (because no cuts were made on the quantity) to take with her! Our two teenagers also enjoyed it deliciously in the evening. After Roka in Helmond we have another restaurant where we will definitely eat more often! TOP!!!

When you enter an Indonesian restaurant where it smells like a soft charcoal fire, you know you are in the right place. No hot oil, no deep frying, just Indian scents. The kitchen is only concerned with the food. She will be a sucker for serving and pleasing guests. The food must be good. No, you are not being talked into, your mouth is getting real flavors. And that is opulence. My party, although almost all of them were kind of Indian, had asked not to make it too pedis and that was also taken into account. There are a few delicious sambals on the table to make it good for the enthusiast. Go and enjoy.

Het eten is erg lekker, zeer smaakvol en de porties zijn ruim voldoende. Het personeel is super vriendelijk! De eigenaresse/kokkin komt aan tafel een praatje maken.

Lekker eten, echt veel met lekkere gerechten je kunt wat over is mooi verpakt mee naar huis nemen. De bediening is prima je hoeft niet lang te wachten. De aankleding mag wel wat sfeervoller. Kortom helemaal prima.

Erg lekker Indonesisch eten! We hadden het verrassingsmenu (Makan bersama - samen eten) gekozen en dat was erg lekker!

Heerlijke, authentieke gerechten geserveerd in een knus en gezellig restaurant! Echte aanrader!

Op het aanraden van een vriend zijn wij hier gaan eten. De kip zat vol met knoebels het ei rook rot, de overige gerechten waren ook niet lekker en zat veel vet aan.

Leuk Indisch restaurant waar je heerlijk kunt eten. De porties zijn groot dus neem flink wat honger mee. Natuurlijk kun je wat er overblijft lekker mee naar huis nemen. Mensen zijn er vriendelijk en het eten staat snel op tafel. Reserveren is wel een goed idee anders zou het zo maar kunnen zijn dat je moet wachten op een tafeltje.

Leuk dat er weer een Indonesisch restaurant is in Helmond. Na het lezen van de lovende berichten hebben we hier 's avonds gegeten. Gastvrouw is vriendelijk, het bedienend personeel kan beter. Kwam niet erg ervaren over. Het eten viel ons wat tegen helaas, zijn beter gewend in Indonesië. Misschien hadden we gewoon pech die avond, maar zelfs de bami en nasi goreng smaakte wat vlak. Sateh van kip (met grote grof gesneden brokken) en overige gerechten van de selamatan vonden we niet echt geweldig. Vlees en loempia's waren taai en ook de groenten waren niet echt lekker. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel / eigenaren en heerlijk eten

We hadden online een reservering geboekt om 20.00 omdat eerdere tijdstippen helaas al volgeboekt waren. Eigenaar Frans belde mij op met de mededeling dat we ook al om 19.00 terecht konden, omdat de sfeer dan ook wat prettiger zou zijn. Anders zit je om 20.00 tegen een paar lege tafeltjes te kijken. Klasse van Frans! Eten was wederom heel erg veel en vooral lekker! Genoten!!!

Goed Indisch eten. Personeel was erg gestresst vanwege de drukte, afhaal en vol restaurant.

We hadden gepaneerde garnalen en kip-noedel soep als voorgerecht. Erg smaakvol en een lekkere starter. Als hoofdgerecht hadden we beide een combinatie deal. Erg lekker, als je meerdere gerechtjes toe wilt voegen aan de basis nasi of bami. De hoeveelheid maakte het voorgerecht wel lichtelijk overbodig want wij, als grote eter hadden moeite om onze bordjes leeg te eten. Deze zou je als kleine eters samen kunnen delen.

Heerlijk gegeten. We hadden veel over en mochten het mee naar huis nemen! Bediening vriendelijk en best snel. Wat een heerlijke sfeer

We hebben gisteren met de familie hier voor de eerste maal gegeten. Het is werkelijk een aanrader, zeer smaakvol volgens echte authentieke Javaans en Sumatraanse recepten. De eigenaresse ibu Tri kwam nog even een praatje maken. We komen hier zeker nog een keer terug.

Rijsttafel Slamet gehad. Het was overheerlijk. Maar veel te veel voor ons twee. Tweede keer dat ik hier eet, maar zeker niet de laatste keer.
