I don't recognize myself in the reviews praising the consistent quality of the food; quite the opposite. Something has changed, something we noticed before, so we ordered again—a completely different taste, just like the last few times before. That special from a few years ago (until 2020 or so?) that made this our "regular Chinese restaurant" was already gone, but the food was still good enough to keep ordering. However, in the last year or two, we've noticed a clear difference in quality and taste. The noodles smell almost sweaty, the chicken tastes strange, the Chinese mushrooms are thinly sliced ​​(they used to be half-cut), the sauce is bland... We're probably just spoiled by the previous Manor food, but it's really not what it used to be. The last few times have convinced us that we should probably look elsewhere.

Placed an order today, and the delivery driver took 23 minutes to arrive, even though we only live 5 minutes from the restaurant. So, the order arrived cold... We reported this to the restaurant owner, and the entire order was delivered to our home again, nice and warm, and FREE of charge! What AMAZING service! Absolutely fantastic!

Had a wonderful meal with the new owner of Manor Super. Chinese rice table for two people. Super fresh vegetables and delicious meat.

Now I understand why the nasi wasn't tasty. I missed the notice about the takeover. After the second time, I won't go there anymore. It's a shame because it was always a delicious restaurant.

Unfortunately, it changed. We had Tseun ka Fook, which tasted completely different than usual. There was no chicken, and the meat was a bit dry. It had more vegetables and mushrooms (which were never included). We won't be ordering this again (after many years of eating it). The nasi was different, but fine. The bami speciaal (special noodles), the spring roll, and fried banana were okay!

Great restaurant, consistently good food and friendly service for years. Unfortunately, this family is closing on October 1, 2025, and someone else is taking over. So, different people, different management.

Manor is the best Chinese restaurant in a very large region. I have to drive 30 km there and back, but it's worth it.

This is the second time we've ordered Bami Goreng to go. We're very disappointed; there are no vegetables in it! It's just two small pieces! We're just eating pasta. And you pay €9 for it?

Unfortunately, it wasn't as usual. The spring roll was greasy and had almost no filling, and the soy sauce (no. 62) was very tough, which isn't normal. I think the chef is on vacation.

Really delicious food, our regular address when it comes to Chinese food. Nice service, maybe not cheap, but really top quality. I don't go there anymore. During dinner one evening, had a very negative experience in terms of service. Food was very tasty.

Babipangang met bami got, but it's not my Chinese. I'll go to Shi or Chi Ling. Purely personal.

Manor bezorgt ook en daar hebben we inmiddels al regelmatig gebruik van gemaakt. Het eten is altijd goed en warm.Bovendien zijn ze eigenlijk bijna altijd op de afgesproken tijd . ( 1 x een kwartier te laat) Wijbestellen altijd via hun eigen website zodat ze niet nog eens extra moeten afdragen en hun eigen bezorgdienst perfect is! Zeker een aanrader

Had a delicious Christmas dinner.

I have known the Wu family since the end of 1977 when they only had the King Sing restaurant in Alkmaar. It was great back then. Later they opened Manor and later King Sing was divested. In 2024, that building was even demolished to make way for apartments. Also eaten regularly in Manor. The last time was years ago because we live quite far away. When we came to eat again today after so many years with 2 of our adult children and 1 grandchild, they immediately recognized us and remembered everything from before, including our first names. Unbelievable. Delicious food again. We look forward to next time.

Twice we had a product that was added even though it was indicated (allergy). The problem was quickly resolved, but the last time there was little taste in the entire food, so no more repetition for us.

Delivery people are the best thing about Manor, I recently met up with one of them. Great place! The floor manager is a friendly guy, with a nice talk.

What a great restaurant. Last week we had a delicious rice table with friends. I didn't know it still existed, but here you get old-fashioned personal attention. delicious dishes, we tasted a lot. Everything great and above all not expensive.

Our trusted address for Peking Duck for more than 33 years. Finally one again - due to various circumstances it was now possible again... and the Peking Duck was and still is of great class! The service friendly, fast and attentive as always. The interior remains 'unchanged', traditional but super cozy! We've been coming here family wise over 33 years and for us the Peking Duck is the absolute favorite. There are maybe a few places left in the Netherlands where they maybe can match but I doubt it! A true traditional Chinese-Indonesian 'Dutch' restaurant.It's almost 'cult'.

When you order chicken with vegetables, you expect something more than onion, cucumber and pepper. We really miss Bok Choy, Amsoi, Kailan, Jie Cai, Qiézi and the delicious black mushrooms. Spicy in the description means: salty in practice. Even a glimpse of Chinese cooking passes us by. Dutch with an Asian disguise for little money.

Hollands met een Chinees tintje is de indruk die wij kregen. Alle heerlijke variatie aan Chinese groentes en paddestoelen moet je hier ontberen. Komkommer, ui en paprika, low budget Hollandse groentjes dat is wat men serveert in gerechten als Tjap Choi en andere gerechten met vlees, kip, vis met groente. We missen de authentieke smaken uit de Cantonese keuken. Prijs/ hoeveelheid is dik in orde, maar ik betaal liever voor minder en betere kwaliteit.

More than 40 years of great food and friendly service.

We have been coming here for years (usually for Chinese tapas/shared dining). Always tasty, always friendly, always fun. Even if you only walk in again after more than a year, the owner will recognize you immediately. We again enjoyed the delicious soups, the Beef Tenderloin, Sole Fillet and Peking Duck. We eat here quite regularly with our small family. It has become a tradition that we like to honor. Always very tasty food, not as 'Dutch Chinese' in taste as most Chinese restaurants, and very friendly employees. Also ordered and more than satisfied. Parking is also easily available across the street.

I have eaten here several times with my daughter. Always a friendly smile and a warm welcome. Good food and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended... Judging from the reviews, the vinegar pissers are heavily in the minority 😂

Heerlijk gegeten hier! Grote porties, waardoor de prijs ook niet te duur was! Het personeel was erg aardig, wat de sfeer in het restaurant nog leuker maakte. Een klassiek chinees restaurant, zoals ik hem graag zie. Zeker een aanrader!

Na 41 jaar nog steeds een top zaak.. doordeweeks een shared dining met proeverij van alle gerechten mogelijk. Wat een smaak sensatie. Een echte aanrader.

Meest hygienische Chinees die ik ken. Als ze nou ook halal vlees zouden hebben dan absoluut 5 sterren.

De vraag was wat gaan we eten op de warme dag? Chinees? Ja lijkt me lekker, even een belletje doen om te reserveren en ja er was plek. We hebben heerlijk gegeten, de kantonese rijsttafel was erg goed van smak en de service was perfect!! Vriendelijk personeel en lekker eten wat wil je nog meer?

Heerljk gegeten! Fijne ambiance. Personeel is fantastisch. Familiebedrijf runt deze zaak al ruim dertig jaar. Altijd even vriendelijk en gastvrij.

Ons jaarlijkse Koningsdag etentje opnieuw bij Manor gehad. Altijd een Manor rijsttafel. Zo heerlijk, weer aan een vertrouwde, gezellige ronde tafel vol smaakvolle gerechten en met top service. Het was weer TOP *****! Bedankt!

Heerlijke lokatie en fantastisch lekker vers eten en knapperig. Fijn relax personeel.....echt zó blij mee!! Onze vaste plek voor een zalig hapje.

Eten is goed, bezorging is snel binnen 30 min. Alleen jammer dat de porties een beetje weinig zijn.

Normaal is er niets aan te merken op de kwaliteit van het eten. Maar dit keer was er veel mis. De Chinese bami en stukken vlees waren aangebrand. Ook was het rundvlees zeer droog en sommige delen waren erg taai. De babi pangang had geen saus en er was geen eitje te bekennen bij de nasi goreng.

Wederom heerlijk tapas gegeten met de golfclub.

Eten was erg lauw bij bezorging. Ook was het vlees erg droog. En het belangrijkste; er zat geen gebakken eitje bij de nasi :(

Heerlijk gegeten, goed warm bezorgd en ontzettend goede loempia's zonder druipend vet.

Heerlijk gegeten met een groep van 20 personen. Er werden diverse gerechten voor ons op tafel gezet, de een nog beter dan de ander. Ook een mooi restaurant in chinese stijl. Prima service door bijvoorbeeld gerechten heen en weer te plaatsen zodat iedereen alles kon proeven.

Een echt Chin. Ind. Spec. Rest maar wel met de tijd meegegaan. Heerlijk verrassingsmenu met verschillende hapjes of gewoon a la carte.

Heerlijk tapas menu: laat de chef je verrassen

We hadden een Thais gerecht besteld, Au Lau heet het gerecht. Er stonden 2 pepertjes bij vermeld als pittig. Helaas was het gerecht verre van Thais, er waren geen Thaise kruiden gebruikt en het gerecht was ook heel flauw. Tevens zijn de gerechten hier vele malen duurder dan bij de Chinees in Velserbroek. Het eten was niet vies, wel een grote teleurstelling. Als je zulke prijzen hanteert moet je het ook waarmaken.

Een hele echte Nederlandse Chinees

Man Wah was helaas op maandag gesloten en dit Chinese restaurant was wel open. Ik dacht laat ik hier eens langs gaan want ons zoontje had enorm veel zin in Chinees. Helaas toch een wat minder goede ervaring. De kipsate was erg lekker. De bami was wat aan de dikke kant, geen idee waarom? Alsof het te lang gekookt was ofzo? Nog nooit eerder meegemaakt. Het meest teleurstellend waren de gebakken banaantjes. Volgens mij kwamen deze uit de magnetron. Ze waren helemaal slap in plaats van tussen slap en krokant in. Ontzettend jammer eigenlijk. Het personeel was enorm vriendelijk en ik keek enorm uit naar een lekkere maaltijd. Ik hou mijn score netjes want het is niet nodig deze vriendelijke mensen helemaal de grond in te boren. Ik hoop dat jullie iets met de feedback kunnen doen en wellicht dan toch nog eens tot ziens.

Super heerlijk gegeten bij Manor. Bediening was super aardig en het eten was goed op smaak. De kleine hapjes die je kan bestellen is een leuke toevoeging.

Al 14 jaar een vast adres voor ons, toppers ! Altijd lekker lekker altijd vers en de bezorging is er meestal sneller dan je je borden kan pakken. PL.
