The food is delicious. Nice place.

The meat was good, but there was only a ball of rice and one mini tomato. It would have been tastier and nicer with some lettuce, cucumber, or something similar. As it was, it looked bland and very minimal.

Just ate here with a group of 7 people. The food was really terrible. The Beyti looked like a sausage rolled up in bread instead of a kofte. The veal doner was very greasy and had a nasty taste. And the steak was like chewing gum. I literally pointed that out to the waitress, but she didn't do anything about it. The staff isn't unfriendly otherwise, and the atmosphere is okay. But you shouldn't come here for the food. Never again for us!

I ate here 3 times last month. I gave it another chance today since there was no other halal restaurant nearby. However, every time after eating, I get stomach upset, possibly due to the very greasy food. Lots of oil or butter with every dish. After mentioning that not everything seemed fresh, I was told that they prepare everything fresh. They did offer a friendly apology. I would suggest using less fat in the food. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be coming back anytime soon.

Drove and walked here at 2145 to be told its too quiet so they are closing early.

What a beautiful restaurant in a prime location. The interior is stylish and the atmosphere is peaceful. We had dinner here with our children this afternoon. Our baby was a bit restless and fussy, but the staff handled it with incredible understanding. They put us at ease and made us feel truly welcome. The food was good and there is a wide selection on the menu, ensuring there is something tasty for everyone. All in all, a very pleasant experience. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Very bad experience. We went here for a quick drink and were served the wrong cocktails: I received an alcoholic cocktail even though we hadn't ordered one, and my sister received a completely different one. After we pointed this out, we were promised that they would look into it, but after half an hour we still hadn't heard anything. When we reported it again, a staff member came into a crowded restaurant and started licking our glasses to check what was in them. My sister and I had already taken a sip by that point. I found this extremely unprofessional and totally unacceptable from a hygienic point of view. We paid without waiting any longer and will never return here. This happened back in May, but I keep thinking about it…

The older waiter spoke poor Dutch and was very unfriendly. He practically threw the menus on the table. Several things went wrong and we received no apology. Furthermore, items that had gone wrong were still on the bill. So, all in all, not good. You would think, given Kijkduin's reputation, that you would do whatever it takes to make people happy. It's a real shame, because it's not that difficult to just be friendly and resolve issues. The food itself was fine.

A real surprise, a lovely restaurant with friendly staff, a well-maintained and stylish interior, and a great atmosphere thanks to the good background music. There is something for everyone on the menu and everything tastes fantastic! Highly recommended!

I will definitely come back for The Mexican Omelet; I ate everything down to the last crumb. My boyfriend really likes the veal shawarma pita. It's a beautiful restaurant and the hostess was very friendly! Definitely recommended.

Rating: 6/10 First of all, I would like to say that the atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant. The interior is beautiful, well-maintained, and exudes quality. The staff also deserves a compliment: everyone was friendly and helpful, and the service was quick. Based on the atmosphere, service, and appearance, I would undoubtedly give the restaurant an 8. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was disappointing for us. The döner meat did not taste very fresh or was of inferior quality. The texture was quite elastic, meaning the meat lacked the flavor and bite you would expect from good quality. The manti was fine in itself, but in my opinion, the price-quality ratio is off. For the quantity you get on the plate, the price is very high. The portion is small and does not justify the price. Additionally, we found €9 for a bottle of water truly excessive. Of course, we understand that a restaurant needs to make a profit and that drinks are an important part of that. Nevertheless, we do not consider this price reasonable. A bottle of water has a relatively low purchase price, making €9 for a bottle difficult to justify. Unfortunately, the Iskender also failed to meet our expectations. For a dish known for its rich flavor and quality, we found this version disappointing. My advice would be to invest primarily in the quality of the food. Ultimately, the foundation of a good restaurant remains the food. In terms of atmosphere and service, you are already operating at a high level, but as far as we are concerned, the dishes could certainly align better with that. For example, take a look at some renowned Turkish restaurants in Rotterdam or Amsterdam, where the focus is strongly on the quality of the meat and the dishes. Despite our criticism, we certainly want to come back again. We sincerely hope that the quality of the food improves in the future, because the restaurant has a lot of potential. If that happens, we would love to return, also with family and friends. I hope you view this feedback as constructive criticism. I am personally someone who attaches great value to taste and quality, and this is therefore meant honestly. My apologies if some comments come across as blunt; that is certainly not my intention. I wish you much success and hope that you can do something with this feedback.

Bad food, everything thrown into a pile and then oil poured over it.

Nice atmosphere, lovely by the sea, and the ladies are very friendly. There is a gentleman serving who comes across as very strict and businesslike; he is not unfriendly but could do better. We have dined there for the second time now and enjoyed the food both times. The sea bream and salad were very tasty, although my fish was quite burnt and didn't look very appealing anymore, my dish tasted delicious. I will definitely go back more often.

Very large portions; forget about ordering a starter, as that was practically a meal in itself. (This applied to both the mushrooms and the cheese in filo pastry). The main course was tasty, large chunks of meat on a skewer with bottled garlic sauce. For what was offered, I found the price to be on the high side, although the ambiance at the beach bar (provided there is space) makes up for a lot. Service was fine.

With the fish and meat menus, only fries are served. No vegetables at all. Never experienced that before.

Very friendly staff, fantastic view of the setting sun on the terrace, a very extensive menu with plenty of choice, and deliciously prepared food! The food also stayed very warm, even though we were sitting outside. Reasonable prices. The restaurant is surprisingly large inside, and the interior is atmospheric and spacious. Clean restrooms where you are greeted warmly by a restroom attendant who cleans the toilets after every visit; many restaurateurs could learn a thing or two from this! Nice and cozy atmosphere, delicious food, a great experience, so highly recommended!!

There were three of us sitting on the terrace, which was neat and clean. The service was friendly and quick. The coffee and cappuccino were nice and hot and tasty. Afterwards, we moved to a larger table for brunch. We thoroughly enjoyed the "Turkish breakfast". Highly recommended. Before leaving, we used the restroom inside the restaurant. Everything was neat, clean, and hygienic. We spent a great time catching up with a view of the sea. Very relaxing. We will definitely come back here again.

Mamaris has moved to the beach promenade. This means there's more space, and you can enjoy a view of the water while you eat. Just like at the old location, the staff is very friendly and the food is excellent.

Absolute disaster! SKAANDAL!!! Ordered food – basic stuff…soup, pizza, pide, etc. – waited 1.5 hours…the food never arrived…drinks came immediately…sweet potatoes and mushrooms after 1.5 hours…the rest never arrived at all…after several attempts, our patience ran out…we canceled everything…then we would have had to pay for what actually arrived at our table!!!!! First and last time…I would never recommend this place…absolutely outrageous!

The atmosphere and service were very poor, the staff unfriendly. We had reserved for 7:15 PM, but eventually we didn't get our food until 8:50 PM. It was actually very tasty, but unfortunately had a bitter aftertaste. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!

It was a busy day, but you weren't helped at all; waiters just looked but did nothing, and everyone was just wandering around doing nothing. I sat there for 2.5 hours and only got a starter…. Many people walked out this evening.

We gave a low rating because they greeted us with grumpy faces and the food took an hour to arrive; the pita bread was also undercooked.

We have been here several times already and it remains enjoyable! The restaurant's decor is truly beautiful: the oval benches, the shape of the chairs, the warm wood color, the atmospheric lighting, and the lovely counter – everything is just right and fits well with the relaxed atmosphere. The design of the restrooms also complements this stylishly. The prices for some dishes are a bit higher, but that is normal for a restaurant right next to the beach. We ate beef fillet with mushroom sauce, sac kavurma, and a mixed grill, and everything was certainly delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the accompanying mushroom sauce completed the experience perfectly. The skewers (pierzola) with salt were also really tasty. The pide was cut into nice long strips, and the lentil soup was also a hit. Moreover, the food arrived super fast; we hardly had to wait. The tea was fine too. In short: there was a wide variety of food on the table that was all delicious. The only downside for me was the mushrooms with cheese. I normally order this at almost every restaurant, but here I found it a bit disappointing, so next time I would probably skip this dish. Otherwise, the atmosphere is very pleasant. The music is good, there is plenty of space inside and out, and high chairs are available. Our children ran around happily, but that was no problem at all for the staff or other guests. All in all, a very beautiful and cozy place to eat, especially if you enjoy good food by the beach!

We were welcomed kindly, and the location and decor are very beautiful. Unfortunately, the service was much worse. Questions about the menu were not answered, nor were they addressed upon our return. It took quite a long time for the food to arrive, and orders were mixed up multiple times. Starters arrived late or even after the main course. We were also asked about desserts quite often, even though we had ordered them. Otherwise, the food was okay, but the service was really a bit lacking.

We've eaten at the old location before. It was delicious, and we received a warm welcome. We made a reservation for Valentine's Day at the new location and arrived at the agreed-upon time. The atmosphere was chaotic, and we had to sit at the bar first. There were other couples waiting. After a while, we left.

I love coming here for dinner and lunch! They have an extensive menu with delicious dishes. The service is friendly, and the restaurant is nice and warm when you walk in! This is especially important with the cold temperatures outside. Glad they're back on Kijkduin Boulevard!

The food was delicious. It's a lovely place on the Boudevaart canal in Kijkduin. Inside, it's quite crowded with tables. It wasn't super busy when we were there, so it was fine. I think if it's crowded, you'll be very close together. The female waitress, "Bush"???, was very friendly. The boss could be a bit friendlier, though.

A great addition to the new Kijkduin restaurant. We tried everything, and the quality and flavor of the meat are excellent, but the rest isn't exactly Turkish. For this price, you'd expect to get more sauces, pide, and other "things" on the side. Unfortunately, that's not the case at Marmaris; you pay around €30 for some meat and rice. It's a shame.

I had a fantastic experience. The restaurant looks impressive inside, a style I haven't seen anywhere else in the Netherlands. Chic and very unique. And of course, not to forget, the authentic food was lovingly prepared by very kind people who provided excellent service. I recommend it to everyone!

The food was delicious. Everything was great. The service was also excellent, and it was easily accessible for an electric wheelchair. There were also plenty of tables with space for wheelchair users.

The new Marmaris in Kijkduin is sleek, lacks atmosphere, and the service is terrible. What a difference from the old Marmaris on the boulevard! We waited fifteen minutes for our drinks, even though there were few customers. Disgraceful. The music is completely out of character for a Turkish restaurant. Never again will we visit Marmaris in Kijkduin.

My group got really upset stomachs after eating the 'Pita chicken' and 'Pita chicken shoarma'. I thought it was food poisoning, but after drinking a lot of tea back at home we recovered(thank god). In other reviews I read similar stories about the chicken. Unfortunately I didn't read them before our visit. It's a nice place for sure, but I will not go back because of this. I don't know what they did with the chicken, but it got us feeling sick for hours.

A great addition to Kijkduin! We've eaten at the previous location several times, and now we're back at Kijkduin. The food is excellent and the friendliness is as good as ever. It's wonderful to be here in this modern establishment🎉

Boxing Day! What terrible service! We asked for juice three times without ice cream, and three times with ice cream. We waited a long time for service, and the meat menu was very mediocre! The meat was very tough! The broccoli was cold! Half of the ice cream dessert had already melted; it was put down without asking, so we couldn't even use the restroom. €400 for 5 people! Such a disgrace, and I'll never go to Mamaris again.

A cozy restaurant with good cuisine.

The food is fine, but nothing special. It differs from the taste you get at other traditional Turkish restaurants. The restaurant and decor are attractive, and the service is good. It's a shame, though, that the garlic sauce is truly awful and you don't get fresh Turkish bread. The desserts aren't fresh either, which is a shame. Furthermore, it's sometimes annoying that the owner audibly shouts at the employees, which can be heard throughout the restaurant.

You'll always receive friendly service here. Many customers come here daily. We used to come here for the friendly atmosphere and a cheap cup of coffee. Unfortunately, we've now paid almost double that amount.

Don't eat döner at all; it's factory-made and tasteless. Everyone at the table who ate it suffered from severe stomach upset. The gentleman, the owner's father (who used to run the restaurant himself), is very polite and attentive to his customers.

Used to come often when it was still on the boulevard. It was incredibly good then. Been here twice now at the new location, but it's very disappointing. Prices have gone up considerably (which I understand), portions are smaller. Food is not what it used to be, I think.... There was a lot of confusion with the service. They forgot a lot, came with the wrong drinks. If you say that you didn't order it, she looks at you angrily and confused. And if you say, well just give it to her, she laughs again.... The restaurant is nicely decorated.

I love this restaurant, we got so much free ice cream with whipped cream, a cake, a glass with ice cream and whipped cream and a nice crispy bread with a sauce.
