MASMAS in Centrum

My matcha was genuinely sooooo good. I have been having actual nightmares recently about paying for overpriced matcha that ends up just tasting like oat milk but this one was amazing super duper recommend !!!!

not for the coffee, but for the vibe and friendly staff.

I love MASMAS. Such a cool vibe, good coffee and friendly people. Great place to sit outside with your mates and grab a drink. Definitely recommend.

Lately many food places are smart enough to restrict smoking outside. In Masmas, there is a problem of smokers who are allowed to smoke outside and not only harm themselves but to harm others. Not cool!

The tastiest chai latte with oat milk!!!!

Maybe it was a bad day for the barista but he is a bit grumpy and has been smoking all day. Fortunately, coffee is tasty.

Unless you like disgusting cigarettes everywhere, stay away from this place. Well, strangely enough, they allow smoking outside…

They allow smoking outside which is a big "no" in 2024/2025. Supermarkets stopped selling cigarettes. Everyone knows how bad and disgusting smoking is. Most coffee places don't allow smoking outside. Smoking is bad for the guests and for the stuff. Smoking gets inside when the door is open and if we sit outside, we will bereave smoke, which can kill.

The coffee was terrible and there was terrible odor of cigarettes all over, and it turns out that they allow smoking outside ! probably the only coffee shop that still allow smoking. I wish smoking will be banned everywhere.

Wonderful cafe! Very chill and homely atmosphere with a super nice owner. Had good barista coffee and tasty blondie. Although the cappuccino could be a bit bigger😉 Definitely come back.

Heerlijk koffie voor een eerlijke prijs! De medewerkers zijn gezellig en je krijgt goeie service! Het is wat klein binnen maar ik zou het meer omschrijven als knus :). Zeker een aanrader de koffie is er heerlijk.

Masmas Chai Latte is amazing! The place is so cozy and warm, but it’s super small. The bathroom is also very small. But it’s a nice place if you want to study

Amazing place very cosy! Small and not too crowded, a lot of student studying, pretty quiet with calm music of ambiance. This café is just amazing! I highly recommend it!

this is literally the best cofee place that we’ve ever been to, the gentleman who runs it knows what he’s doing and is passionate about it. He was also very open to making us an off-the menu drink just based on our description and totally nailed it. seems like we’re gonna have to start visiting groningen regularly now, thank you so much!!

I find it interesting how the vibe of this place seems to contribute to the vibe of the place. That is to say, I liked the people there and had a pleasant time every time.

THE BEST CHAI LATTE! I’ve gone to aprox 20 different cafes in Groningen and this is still my favorite chai. The taste is so good and the place is really cozy.

Top koffie, goede prijzen en leuk personeel. Bovendien 1 van de weinige goede chai lattes in de stad.

Despite the pandemic there was no soap in the bathroom, which was very(!) dirty overall. The coffee was okay-ish, but a bit small and nothing special.

Absolutely lovely space for coffee with warm and welcoming staff, fair prices and occasional excellent music or food special events.

Feels very homey, the baristas are super friendly. Try the watermelon iced tea.
