McDonald's in Terneuzen West

Extremely long waiting times. This is supposed to be a fast food place! Every order comes with a mistake, we have to check every item twice. Recommended only as a place of last resort. Terrible service - atrocious prices.

So I placed an order, and it went completely wrong. I received an order for someone else entirely, which isn't possible. I drove back and then had to wait half an hour to get my food again; even then, it couldn't be right. The lady wanted to argue with me about how she had supposedly placed the order correctly this time, but together we realized she had done it wrong again. Terrible service!!

We thought we'd grab a quick bite to eat, but it took 37 minutes before we got our food. When we got into the car, we also got the wrong burger.

Restaurant is really gross. Everything is dirty and sticky. They often forget something with your order and the food is not what you expect from McDonald's....

We were charged 0.15 euros three times, even though we were told twice that we were using it here on the terrace. Nothing was done about it after reporting it.

McDonald's remains McDonald's. It's easy for a quick bite and it's filling, but to say, "It's tasty, meh." And secretly, you still pay quite a bit. They try to lure you in with ads, making it seem cheap, but when you finally pay, you've always spent a considerable amount.

The staff only speaks English, and very poorly at that; you can't even explain anything properly. Make sure there is at least someone at the McDonald's drive-thru who speaks and understands Dutch.

They don't speak a word of Dutch there and they don't even understand half of it, and friendliness is nowhere to be found; a hopeless situation there.

It took a while before I got my order via the McDrive.

The McDonald's in Terneuzen almost always has friendly staff. The food is not my preference, but that is a matter of personal taste.

I received very friendly assistance with ordering at the checkout. I wanted to make an adjustment to my menu with gluten-free rolls.

Upon entering, I was greeted by a loud burp that made the windows rattle. Then, after waiting 20 minutes for my food, my order was incomplete; they had given me 3 chicken nuggets instead of 6 (how do they come up with that?). Well, after waiting another 3 minutes, I finally got my whole order, and phew, that was disappointing. The fries were nice and salty, the burger had a bitter aftertaste, and yes, the chicken nuggets were tasty, despite having to wait an extra 3 minutes. When I was clearing up my leftovers, an employee was cleaning one of the tables, and I told him it could be better, and then he said, "That's not my problem, I'm not a manager." Yeah, sorry, but I think this is a waste of my money. I won't be coming here again.

Today I ordered a Caramel Latte Macchiato at the McDonald’s in Terneuzen. After a fairly long wait, I received a small cup of coffee. I immediately indicated that I thought this was not the correct order. The employee, who spoke English but was otherwise friendly, went to check with his manager. After waiting a little longer, I eventually did receive a Latte Macchiato, but unfortunately without the caramel. I didn't say anything more about it, but it was still disappointing. It's a shame, because the service here used to be much better. A mistake can happen, but two incorrect orders after a long wait make for an unpleasant experience.

Is it normal that when you order a medium menu and a large menu And that the large fries are filled just as much as a medium fries??? You pay for a large fries and a large soft drink, but it has no contents of a large menu. Scandalous

Milkshake and 6 nuggets... had to wait 15 minutes. Suddenly, my order number also disappeared from the screen, as if it had been issued. Then I called and had my stuff within 1 minute.

What you can expect from McDonald's. Food is ready quickly and they bring it to you neatly. Fun play equipment for children. The projector on the table is a hit with the kids.

Today we wanted to place an order at the checkout to pay in cash, but we were refused to order at self-service; simply outrageous.

Bad food, grumpy staff who don't speak Dutch, and absolutely no atmosphere.

REALLY sad, in the morning everything is nice and cheerful and spick and span, but then in the afternoon it's a nightmare, trash cans thrown out of the storefronts, barely any conversation possible with unfriendly foreign staff and no support from management, just standing around messing about in the kitchen.

Great prices and the burger is exactly the right size for someone who is hungry. You guys are fantastic! 💜💜

The hamburgers were almost cold when they were brought.

We got burgers and ice cream, but the ice cream got melted while we’re eating. So why they don’t wait to bring the ice cream?

I have tried several McDonald's restaurants and I still find this one to deliver the best quality. The salad is fresh and tasty, the restaurant is clean, and the service is fast.

The manager just barely stops at throwing the cola over the counter.

I've been there several times in the last few months and something goes wrong every time; they only speak English. Today was no exception; I ordered a gluten-free hamburger for one of my clients. The receipt was correct, but she received something completely different: Big Mac fries, which she isn't allowed to have. Another client ordered a Happy Meal and also received something completely different. After speaking to them, they did eventually bring the right thing. But then they brought things that we hadn't ordered. What a mess.

Mayonnaise from 2024? It is now February 2026.

What service! Pleasantly surprised. They immediately came to my aid when they saw me limping (long-term injury), and several employees came to ask if they should fill a water bowl for the dog. Staff like that are worth their weight in gold.

There is always a long wait for the veggie burgers. Then the rest is often not very warm anymore if you get everything at once. The wait staff look unmotivated. At the very least, pretend you're enjoying it! The cleaning also leaves something to be desired. Wiping the table with a cloth is fine, but there is often stuff lying under the table and on the chairs as well.

The food is what you would expect from a McDonald's, but time and time again there is something not quite right with the order. This is always resolved, but it shouldn't be necessary. It also seems that only the manager still speaks Dutch; other staff invariably answer in English.

If you don't check if your order is correct, it is often incorrect, or in other words, rubbish.

Hamburger cold, charging a plastic tax even though there was no plastic at all... even the soft drink cup was cardboard...

We recently placed an order at McDonald’s Terneuzen, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. My wife ordered a meatless burger, but it turned out to contain chicken, even though there was a "meatless" sticker on the packaging. For someone who does not eat meat, this is naturally unacceptable. Additionally, the cola in the order was also incorrect. Because we went back to the restaurant to report this, the rest of the food had already gone cold. At the restaurant itself, we only received a refund for the amount of the burger in question. No further compensation was provided. After contacting McDonald’s customer service, the complaint was forwarded to the branch, but they indicated that only vouchers are possible and that the rest of the order is supposedly "in order," which is incorrect given the multiple errors. All in all, a bad experience and a disappointing handling of the complaint.

Cleaner than the German market. Prices like in Germany, and you can get some products here that are currently on the menu in Germany, for whatever reason.

Good experiences with this McDonald's, always fast and friendly staff.

I ordered the menu, the wait time was about 10 minutes, there were no people there, after the menu I decided to order one burger, in the end I waited for it for 15 minutes

On a quest for the illustrious Gypsy community of Terneuzen, we stopped here, hoping to score a large glass of milk or even a tuna sandwich. Unfortunately, "this isn't a bookstore," the man behind the drive-in window told us. What we did find, however, was a true social event in the parking lot. Lost but like-minded souls, smelling of cheese, formed a choir of throat singers. These people came from exotic places like Wemeldinge and Nuffelen. They shared a passion for life and soggy sandwiches with lukewarm meat. One of them was named after a song by De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig; some of them even had two first names!! The revelry concluded with a spectacular motorcycle show by a Polish delegation! Death-defying stunts amidst loud cheers and applause. Coffee is served without milk and sugar, McFlurry isn't stirred. And if you make a comment about it, you get a grumpy look. Update 20/03/2026 What a farce. For €6.15 I order a coffee and an ice cream to consume here on the premises. The waitstaff does bring the order to the table, but I then have to go get the coffee creamer cup myself at the cash register "because those are the rules". What absurd, customer-unfriendly bureaucracy for a simple cup of comfort. The coffee is served in a bad, flimsy cardboard cup and the ice cream is nothing special either: literally finished in one bite. If you charge top dollar, at least ensure decent service and portions worthy of the name 'ice cream'. In short: a lousy place where customer friendliness is nowhere to be found. Save your money and walk on to the next place.

McDrive, food is always cold, fries sauce is regularly forgotten

McDonald's isn't exactly the most reputable chain, but this one definitely wins the prize for being bad. Since it's the only fast food place in Terneuzen, you still make the choice to go sometimes. But why is it that something always goes wrong? Forgotten sauce, forgotten fries, giving me meat nuggets instead of veggie nuggets, and so on. And now, a burger, in meatless packaging, with a big "MEATLESS" sticker on it, and what is the burger after all? Chicken. On top of that, the wrong drink, and the wrong size. You drive back, get a refund for a burger you didn't eat, without any compensation whatsoever. Man, oh man, next time I have a late-night craving, I'll just ignore it.

There are a lot of staff walking around who don't know a word of Dutch, which is a bit of a shame, they don't understand you

The coffee is really good, and so are the cookies, but that's where it really ends. The waitstaff doesn't speak Dutch. I ordered coffee and chocolate milk, and after 34 minutes and complaining, it was brought to my table. Next time, I'll order coffee somewhere else; it's a shame.

For the umpteenth time, the order was wrong. The girl who was packing the order had fries on the work floor, then you say something about it and nothing is done about it, as if I've gone crazy because of the manager.

The Mac drive-through is more like waiting for a Mac, and the staff is often curt, directive, and unfriendly. Other McDonald's often have things much better.

Everything was fine, except that no proof of payment was provided. Unfortunately, the manager couldn't help me with this either.

This was the second time we ate here, and again, our order was wrong. We received regular nuggets instead of spicy ones, several fries were missing sauces (although we paid for them), and we paid for fries we didn't order. This is probably because the staff don't speak Dutch, but then don't speak English either. Such a shame!

After indoor skiing, come down to Mac D for a delicious hamburger, very well cared for!

Lately, things have been getting worse and worse at this place. There is increasingly more foreign-speaking staff that you have to speak English to, and even then they don't understand half of it. The entire kitchen is full of staff, but all the benches and tables are dirty. The food itself is also getting worse and worse: cold fries, wrong orders, no receipt from the payment terminals, and all plates are empty, etc. And I just placed an order; I didn't get a receipt. I waited, but eventually went to the counter because it was taking so long. They said the order had been cancelled. The money was debited from my account, but they hadn't received it, so they said I would receive my money back from the bank the next working day, so that remains to be seen. What a shame.

If you need to eat something, good to fill the stomach

They weren't friendly at all. The lady accused me of something, like "Don't act like that to my colleague," even though I actually did nothing, so that's a false accusation. And I don't think that's acceptable.

The food could have been a bit warmer, even though it's made to order. The order was delivered promptly, although it sometimes took a bit of searching to find the "right" table. Pleasant atmosphere despite the crowds.

This is truly sad! It wasn't busy at all, they were standing there with their arms crossed, chatting away. The fries were still raw inside. I ordered spicy chicken nuggets, but first got a spicy chicken mac and cheese, even though they asked twice what I wanted. Luckily, they checked everything first to make sure everything was correct. When I got the nuggets, they weren't even spicy or warm. The milkshake was lukewarm. If it's busy and something goes wrong, that's okay, but having nothing to do and giving people their food is truly awful! Next time, I'll drive to a different place!

I'm NEVER ordering a reusable cup from here again! You just get ripped off and end up with a piece of paper cup in your hands. SCAMMERS!! ‼️

There was a new Indian guy working there and I clicked on my Happy Meal chicken nuggets and he gave me a hamburger

At the drive-through, they need to pay more attention to orders. It was very quiet, and I was finally the only person. I ordered all sorts of things, and with my apple pie, I got three instead of four. The girl just made a strange face. I'm sorry, they can talk and enjoy themselves while it's quiet. No problem at all, but as a customer, it's not nice to see them pulling faces like that, and there's no excuse for me to come there at least once a week.

We were planning to eat here for our daughter's birthday, first of all a lady at the counter who could barely understand Dutch, let alone speak it, and you had to order via the column, well unfortunately if I can't order anywhere anymore then I'm done with the mac

Very unfriendly and uncommunicative staff. Orders have to be placed at the kiosk, even though there's also a counter with a cash register... they refuse to help customers there.

Ordered large portions of chicken nuggets, but it's a shame the sauce is included in the packaging—very inconvenient. The old cups were much better and don't squirt out all at once.

They forgot my sauce for the 100th time.

When there are very, very, very few customers, so when it's not chaotic, it's great. The only problem is that they don't give a receipt after ordering, so at the kiosks, no receipt is issued after placing the order.

Great McDonald's. The food was delivered incredibly quickly. It's an ideal spot for a quick bite, but it's not cozy or atmospheric. But I wouldn't expect that from McDonald's.

Fries are cold and not cooked through. You have to wait a really long time for your order.

Clean. Fast cooking, polite staff and simply amazing cheesecake, very tasty. Not cloyingly sweet, creamy-cheese taste, soft, fresh. As an experienced cheesecake expert, I appreciated it.

this place has been really well made, the food was very good, only a little expensive but if you get a menu deal, you get more food for less €, and the customer service is great, nothing much to say for the rest!

I was in the drive-through, where there are two order terminals, but they normally take turns ordering. This wasn't the case. After several cars had already ordered at the other terminal, I wasn't helped, so I drove on. I then ordered at the window, but there was no help there either. Then I went to window 2, where I was told I hadn't ordered. I replied that that was correct, but that the problem had already been solved at the terminal, and nothing was being done at window 1 either. I then went inside and asked the managers what was wrong. The answer I got was that they hadn't seen you because it was busy. I didn't order anything else and left. Mac Terneuzen received a big fail.

The waitress served us Sundays at half the normal price. We had to ask for regular ones. In addition, the charging station does not work with standard charging cards such as Chargemap or others.

You shouldn't order sundaes there anymore. This is the new presentation of the ice cream. And that's how it should be, according to the staff and customer service.
