McDonald's just as you expect from a McDonald's.

No, this is not how it should be. The premises are one big mess, trash cans overflowing with waste. Toilets you can smell from 100 meters away, employees radiating absolutely no enthusiasm for their work... and I could go on and on. After a very bad experience a few years ago with equally poor handling by a manager, I decided back then never to go there again. You get the picture; after this visit, I have resolved not to go there again. Sorry McDonald's Tiel, but you brought this upon yourselves. My advice: drive right past... 😱

Cold potatoes, cold burger, not tasty. Drink had more ice than liquid..The worst McDonalds in Netherlands so far.. 😕 playground is closed. Nice music though..

If you want clogged arteries, this is the place to be. I've already had a few instances where I got a cheeseburger with a wrapper that was just soaking wet with grease... no more for me... and certainly not for the money you dare to charge for bad to mediocre food. It hasn't gotten any better since there's been too much staff walking around who can barely speak decent Dutch... but anyway, that observation will probably be labeled racist, and that's allowed... after all, I regularly order from places not run by Dutch people and I can eat just fine there.

How do they manage to consistently deliver incomplete orders at this location? It is simply almost impressive.

A real McDonald's located outside the big city. A decent place, neat, clean, and not too busy.

I was here on Tuesday, September 1st at 10:16 AM. The staff are friendly. The coffee was on the weak side. The cheesecake was excellent, but I just missed having cutlery to eat it. As a result, your fingers got completely covered in it. See the comment about the toilets further down. Unfortunately, the toilets were extremely dirty, and hand soap was out of stock in all of them. Unfortunately, this is something that happens at multiple McDonald's locations. I understand that they cannot check the toilets every 10 minutes, but this is certainly an issue regarding hygiene.

We gathered there with trikes and motorcycles in their spacious parking lot. We enjoyed delicious coffee and a snack.

When we came in, I found it quite atmospheric and tidy, until we went to look for a spot. All the tables were filthy and sticky. There is drink lying under the tables everywhere, and it is sticky. Someone even found a bra in the toilet. Really a top-notch place..

The food in the morning is a bit disappointing, hard mini pancakes. On the other hand, the food in the evening is delicious😋😋

It really is quite bad when you have to pay 0.85 cents for a sachet of fries sauce which was normally included in the already way too expensive menu and, upon arriving home, wasn't even with your order—which was sticky and stale; you had one task: to complete the order………

The restaurant is always clean, as are the toilets. Since the renovation, the atmosphere is gone, though. The food is always what you expect from a McDonald's; never any strange issues. However, you always have to check your order when going through the drive-thru, because 8 out of 10 times it is incorrect. That is why we now always order inside so you can return with your order faster. It is always resolved immediately and without any problems, though.

They claim to be a McDonald's with gluten-free options. I have already had multiple instances where they don't have it, or they think they can just give you a regular sandwich. You should be deeply ashamed! Disappointing my children, and no, it is not a hype; they get deathly ill from gluten!! So, if you have celiac disease or gluten intolerance, definitely do not go here! Drive a little further (to Morgen); they always have it there and aren't so clueless!

Unfortunately, it all tastes like cardboard 😞 even the cappuccino. Just made acorn coffee and other non-alcoholic drinks & snacks at home 😎

The food is very tasty, good service. Delivered quickly and friendly staff. The cleaning is also fine. So very good!

The service has gone downhill. Apparently, we arrived at an inconvenient time; 4 customers in the drive-through had to wait one after the other for the food. And then you get home and a burger and sauce are missing.

I think a small milkshake for 4.50 is really too much. Just like 6.75 for a quarterpounder at another location. You can get a good meal for the same price.

Ordered 1 cup of coffee. After 10 minutes, went to ask where it was. Received it with great difficulty after 15 minutes.

We wanted to buy an ice cream. The store was closed because the air conditioning wasn't working. That is of course possible, but indicate that earlier and not on a piece of paper on the window.

It is a shame that if you order 2 extra sachets of fries sauce and want to return them properly or offset them against your next order... it is not possible... this was communicated in a haughty manner by supervisor Kirsten...

It's been a long time since I've seen a poppy seed cake with warm food inside.

We don't go there often, but the last few times, we find something wrong every time we visit. Sometimes the fries are old/undercooked/too salty, other times a thawed milkshake or melted ice cream. Unfortunately, this remains disappointing. But the rest is exactly what you would expect from a McDonald's. For the time being, we won't be going there for the fries and ice cream anymore. 😅

Update: my son made a mistake yesterday and went there anyway, and guess what ::: nothing has changed, food is cold, orders are incomplete, and there is a long wait at the drive-thru. Better to drive 10 minutes further to Enspijk!!!

The McDonald's in Tiel is the best I have ever visited. Everything is neat and tidy, and your order is on the table super fast.

Quickly popped in for an Arc in the afternoon, and before I got off the toilet it was already finished and beautiful!

What a mess, terrible, trash everywhere, people were racing cars in the parking lot... and the hamburgers, pfff, never again.

Yeah, the food is still McDonald's fast food. I don't really find it super tasty, but when you're hungry it gets much better. The McFlurry for dessert is delicious though. It's good that they use reusable cups, so not everyone has to pocket them 😅

Service time at this Mac has always been significantly below average. Today, the staff is unable to maintain the proper order at the drive-thru and lets three cars go ahead without any explanation or apology. Managing customer expectations is an undiscovered competence here. Unfortunately…

On our way to the Suzan and Freek concert at the Gelredome, we stopped here for a quick bite to eat. We ordered at the kiosk, found a table, and less than 2 minutes later the food was already there! It was still on the early side (quarter to 5), so it wasn't super busy, but this was really fast. The food was fine, hot, and freshly prepared. Furthermore, a big compliment to the staff: the food was brought by a friendly young man who greeted us with a good afternoon, placed the tray down neatly, and wished us a heartfelt "bon appétit." The young man who emptied the trash cans said he really appreciated that I had disposed of the tray and cups so neatly (which I consider perfectly normal, but they do experience it very differently), and when we left, a lady was standing at the door wishing us a pleasant evening. I have never experienced that at any McDonald's. Definitely recommended if you are in the area! If it is busy, it can be difficult to find a parking spot.

The food was fine, although I must say, as a McDonald’s employee, it was very rude how they put the chocolate sauce on the frappuccino, especially since the rule is 4 stripes (making an M).

Be careful at the Mac Drive when inserting after ordering.

At one kiosk we were asked to take a moment, at the other kiosk we were helped continuously. What do you do then? You drive to the other kiosk. And again you are told, "One moment, please." Yeah, then you've had enough and you drive away. We just got it at the restaurant itself. An ice cream and a milkshake. The milkshake was gross, but oh well, we had driven away.

The restaurant was tidy and the toilets clean.

Got a lot of stomach pain from eating bad food

Chicken20, curry no longer comes in a container, so it's impossible to get it out of a stick without getting your whole car covered in it. But I had to eat and take medication, so I was fine with the dog.

90% of the time they give you less nuggets or mozarella sticks, not properly cooked and leaves put hamburgers

What a bummer. NOT A GLUTEN-FREE SHOP. And if you order a Sunday here, you only get half a cup for €2.50. Disgraceful!!!!! January 15, 2026. I accidentally ordered a gluten-free sandwich here and thought I was going crazy. One star added. Now I just need to bring that ice cream up to par. And then you get another two stars. We'll see.

I was very disappointed with my last visit to this McDonald's. There was a hair in my milkshake, which is completely unacceptable. Furthermore, the tables were dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned for a long time. The restrooms were also filthy and poorly maintained. What made it even more unprofessional was that the staff were throwing snowballs at each other outside, while there was clearly plenty of work to be done inside. I think better management is needed so that employees understand that hygiene and service should take priority over playing during working hours. All of this completely discredits the way this restaurant is run. I won't be returning anytime soon.

The food is fine, but it's really annoying that all those alarms/clocks/beeps from the kitchen are so loud and audible in the restaurant. Not exactly relaxing.

Nice place for a quick meal off the highway. Has large sitting capacity both indoor and outdoors. A quick detour from the highway. Has a small play area for kids to enjoy. Great for families with children.

We arrived around 3:00 PM and it was incredibly quiet. However, the parking lot was littered, and even inside, the tables hadn't been cleared. This is partly because some visitors think they can get away with anything, but the staff should have noticed. Parking was easy in the spacious parking lot. You can also park with a caravan. Ordering was quick at one of the kiosks, and we received our food quickly. The burgers and toppings were a bit lukewarm.

I figured the one-star rating wouldn't make a difference, so I went and found two sauces missing and the mac and cheese without any sauce. It was too sad to put into words!

Worst McDonald's in the Netherlands. Had to wait 20 minutes for my food in the parking lot, thanks to designated staff. They'd lost our order and couldn't find it. The staff was incredibly rude when we asked about our order. No compensation, nothing. I'll never order from here again; what a mess.

Terrible: two hamburger buns with nothing on them. Two fries with too little sauce, a cold Big Mac, and a cold hamburger and fries.

This McDonald's is truly awful. The standard half-hour line at the McDrive is 50%. The McDrive has two ordering kiosks, but they often let one queue wait far too long. The staff is incredibly rude, disinterested, and nine times out of ten, they're impossible to understand.

Had to wait an hour for chicken nuggets at 11 PM. Way too extreme. I've already been told three times that it's almost ready.

Often, something is missing from the order. Staff refuses to cooperate when collecting missing parts.

Sometimes you can wait a very long time for your order, even by car, then I think the word fast food is out of place because that's exactly what you go to McDonald's for (just quickly).

The food, well, maybe I ordered it without the pickle and they forgot to add it, but I didn't salt the sandwich I ordered either, like several people did at the same time. Besides, it was the first time I'd ever eaten a McDonald's that wasn't so good.

I highly recommend this place! This isn't the first time something's been missing from my order, but today it was full. I took my order home, and lo and behold—the main course wasn't there! How hard is it to properly package an order? It seems like no one pays attention or takes their job seriously. This is truly disappointing and disrespectful to customers.

Cheeseburgers way too tough and no napkins with my order

5 stars because McDonald's here is simply McDonald's and nothing less. The Big Arch... is a meal in itself. A very large Big Mac, an extrapolated Big Mac, that's what it is! Don't order anything extra and just follow it up with a lemon smoothie at home, and you'll be fine!

Full trash cans, and even full ones outside, resulting in a lot of trash in the parking lot. Men's restroom: lots of toilet paper on the floor.

I'm not one for the negative. But a toilet that smells strongly at 1 p.m. and doesn't smell of rosemary shouldn't be acceptable. The food was good, though.

Nice play area, both indoors and outdoors. It's for ages 3+ because of the climbing. You can also color there. We ate there several times, and the fries were often cold. That's a shame.

On my way to Germany I had breakfast at this location. Although it was a pretty calm morning they succeeded to make it a slow food restaurant. After 20 minutes, I know pretty patient, I decided to ask what happened to my order. They informed me that the coffee machine had problems. It would have been nice that they would have informed me before I went to the counter. So maybe a tip for the manager to make this common practice. Anyways I received my breakfast after 30 minutes, but that was nice.

On my way to Tiel, hungry and on my way to Tiel, I stopped at Avezaath McDonald's. I had to wait a bit, which is strange at the drive-in, because there was no one in front of me. The nuggets were perfect, but the staff might need some training.

Definitely not busy this Sunday afternoon, but my McKroket sat next to the cash register getting cold for fifteen minutes.... I think the employees were busy with other things.

Slow food McDonald's. Expect very long wait times here. You can wait fifteen minutes for your order if the place is already 10% full. Had I known this, a sandwich from one of the gas stations would have been better… The reason? I ordered a salad. Never do it; it's just for show. They have to make it special, and people here aren't used to it. And then there are the two coffees. Too complicated.

You think McDrive is really fast. Oh no, not really.

I don't really know where to begin, but my experience at this McDonald's was absolutely ridiculous. While I was waiting, almost the entire staff was on their phones, some even watching videos, while there was a line of at least 10 people. My order took over 35 minutes (for a simple McChicken menu), and when I asked how much longer it would take, I simply received an irritated response: "Yeah, busy, huh? You should cook at home if you're in a hurry." As if that wasn't bad enough, something very strange happened: an employee dropped an entire milkshake in the middle of the kitchen, looked at it, laughed out loud with a colleague, and... simply wiped it away with some napkins. Then, wearing the same gloves, he continued preparing food for customers. I've eaten at McDonald's many times in my life, but this was such a disrespectful and chaotic experience I've never experienced anywhere in my life. I will definitely never go back.
