Chicken20, curry no longer comes in a container, so it's impossible to get it out of a stick without getting your whole car covered in it. But I had to eat and take medication, so I was fine with the dog.

90% of the time they give you less nuggets or mozarella sticks, not properly cooked and leaves put hamburgers

What a bummer. NOT A GLUTEN-FREE SHOP. And if you order a Sunday here, you only get half a cup for €2.50. Disgraceful!!!!! January 15, 2026. I accidentally ordered a gluten-free sandwich here and thought I was going crazy. One star added. Now I just need to bring that ice cream up to par. And then you get another two stars. We'll see.

I was very disappointed with my last visit to this McDonald's. There was a hair in my milkshake, which is completely unacceptable. Furthermore, the tables were dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned for a long time. The restrooms were also filthy and poorly maintained. What made it even more unprofessional was that the staff were throwing snowballs at each other outside, while there was clearly plenty of work to be done inside. I think better management is needed so that employees understand that hygiene and service should take priority over playing during working hours. All of this completely discredits the way this restaurant is run. I won't be returning anytime soon.

The food is fine, but it's really annoying that all those alarms/clocks/beeps from the kitchen are so loud and audible in the restaurant. Not exactly relaxing.

Nice place for a quick meal off the highway. Has large sitting capacity both indoor and outdoors. A quick detour from the highway. Has a small play area for kids to enjoy. Great for families with children.

We arrived around 3:00 PM and it was incredibly quiet. However, the parking lot was littered, and even inside, the tables hadn't been cleared. This is partly because some visitors think they can get away with anything, but the staff should have noticed. Parking was easy in the spacious parking lot. You can also park with a caravan. Ordering was quick at one of the kiosks, and we received our food quickly. The burgers and toppings were a bit lukewarm.

I figured the one-star rating wouldn't make a difference, so I went and found two sauces missing and the mac and cheese without any sauce. It was too sad to put into words!

Worst McDonald's in the Netherlands. Had to wait 20 minutes for my food in the parking lot, thanks to designated staff. They'd lost our order and couldn't find it. The staff was incredibly rude when we asked about our order. No compensation, nothing. I'll never order from here again; what a mess.

This McDonald's is truly awful. The standard half-hour line at the McDrive is 50%. The McDrive has two ordering kiosks, but they often let one queue wait far too long. The staff is incredibly rude, disinterested, and nine times out of ten, they're impossible to understand.

Often, something is missing from the order. Staff refuses to cooperate when collecting missing parts.

Had to wait an hour for chicken nuggets at 11 PM. Way too extreme. I've already been told three times that it's almost ready.

Cheeseburgers way too tough and no napkins with my order

5 stars because McDonald's here is simply McDonald's and nothing less. The Big Arch... is a meal in itself. A very large Big Mac, an extrapolated Big Mac, that's what it is! Don't order anything extra and just follow it up with a lemon smoothie at home, and you'll be fine!

Full trash cans, and even full ones outside, resulting in a lot of trash in the parking lot. Men's restroom: lots of toilet paper on the floor.

I'm not one for the negative. But a toilet that smells strongly at 1 p.m. and doesn't smell of rosemary shouldn't be acceptable. The food was good, though.

Nice play area, both indoors and outdoors. It's for ages 3+ because of the climbing. You can also color there. We ate there several times, and the fries were often cold. That's a shame.

On my way to Germany I had breakfast at this location. Although it was a pretty calm morning they succeeded to make it a slow food restaurant. After 20 minutes, I know pretty patient, I decided to ask what happened to my order. They informed me that the coffee machine had problems. It would have been nice that they would have informed me before I went to the counter. So maybe a tip for the manager to make this common practice. Anyways I received my breakfast after 30 minutes, but that was nice.

On my way to Tiel, hungry and on my way to Tiel, I stopped at Avezaath McDonald's. I had to wait a bit, which is strange at the drive-in, because there was no one in front of me. The nuggets were perfect, but the staff might need some training.

Had I known this, a sandwich from one of the gas stations would have been better… The reason? I ordered a salad. Never do it; it's just for show. They have to make it special, and people here aren't used to it. And then there are the two coffees. Too complicated.

I don't really know where to begin, but my experience at this McDonald's was absolutely ridiculous. While I was waiting, almost the entire staff was on their phones, some even watching videos, while there was a line of at least 10 people. My order took over 35 minutes (for a simple McChicken menu), and when I asked how much longer it would take, I simply received an irritated response: "Yeah, busy, huh? You should cook at home if you're in a hurry." As if that wasn't bad enough, something very strange happened: an employee dropped an entire milkshake in the middle of the kitchen, looked at it, laughed out loud with a colleague, and... simply wiped it away with some napkins. Then, wearing the same gloves, he continued preparing food for customers. I've eaten at McDonald's many times in my life, but this was such a disrespectful and chaotic experience I've never experienced anywhere in my life. I will definitely never go back.

There's nothing "big" about the Big Tasty anymore; they've simply made it smaller than the Big Mac. The price certainly isn't a deal-breaker either. McDonald's has truly seen its best days, unfortunately.

Highly recommended. No comparison to McDonald's in Germany. Everything is clean here, including the restrooms. Here, we avoid eating in restaurants, as there are always leftover food on the tables, benches, and floor of every McDonald's. Restrooms are also best avoided in Germany. In the Netherlands, people like to linger and are happy to use the restroom.

I'm not one for reviews, but I feel obligated to report that it's absolutely terrible. I used to come here regularly; one time everything was cold, the next time not 6 but 5 chicken nuggets! And to make matters worse, I stood in the drive-in for 10 minutes, and it wasn't busy! The staff were chatting among themselves, and I was told to wait and park in the parking spaces. I told them they were full, and the lady said I could easily get in! It was full anyway, so I parked next to it in the parking lot. When my order was finally ready, the lady saw me but simply walked back. I ended up getting my order myself. And the manager laughed at me! Service? Never heard of it. I'll never go here again, and I advise others not to. Drive 10 minutes further and you'll find the Burger King in Zaltbommel!

Food was very lukewarm and the McFlurry was made wrong, after I went back we got the right flavor but with very little ice. That was really not expected after a mistake was made. You would expect them to compensate for their mistake with a little more ice cream. The toilet was also super dirty, smelled of urine and feces were on the walls. I have eaten here a few times in the 8 years +- that I have lived in Tiel. This is the 1st time I have written a review of such a Mac toko. To my annoyance, this McDonald's is the most atmospheric, stress-free environment to eat in. Then food also feels slow or takes a very long time to make. Maybe it depends on the time and my personal experience, but I always try to eat something earlier if I go after this mac. Anyway, the food you usually get is lukewarm or almost cold fries. Luckily my burger still had some heat in it, but it's sad. My discount voucher to try the Mac again feels like a total deception - the device says 7.50 discount menu but you can order the sauce for 0.85 and it comes in such a sad tube. But the sauce still tastes good. But here comes the annoyance: the order column where you order food sometimes does not work with the discount codes - this time it does, but then it is not honestly shown what you pay for. + if something doesn't work you have to go to the counter. Since my receipt suddenly says that the menu was actually 6.25 and my coke was 1 euro 25. But you cannot check this information anywhere on the device before you pay. Regardless, the same order was at that order column, so 10.80 for a normal order without a discount code. In my opinion, it is misleading to not show an honest receipt and then let people pay and only provide the information after payment. That's working a bit in the other direction, isn't it? Anyway, I don't know if I still want to eat this McDonald's. So far a bad experience eating here. Is actually always annoyance about something at this place.

As several people have already indicated, McDonald Tiel is a disaster! Have had a mac breakfast several times on Sunday morning, while the entire place is empty you have to wait an average of 35-45 minutes for your (small) order. We have indicated this several times, but they do nothing with the feedback. We experienced them on 3 out of 4 Sundays in the month. Skip Mac Donald Tiel, worthless place with an even more arrogant and worse manager.
