McDonald's Duiven in Wijk 01 Bedrijventerrein

Not a good McDonald's. Got cold food there so often; took it back, and they would help you again, but only when it's just slightly busier than normal. No top-notch dishes there. Cold cheeseburger, lukewarm fries; no, if you have the chance, just go to Presikhaaf, much better quality. September 2026, tried it again. Food was warm this time, tables clean. I think the competition from the food court across the street has made this place aware that people simply expect good value for their money.

3.70 for 0.33cl Spa water. Scandalous and shocking.

Good McDonald's everything was fresh

Disappointed and very bad. I would skip this McDonald's. Wait 34 minutes for 2 coffees. Furthermore, visibly very chaotic, little to no policy from the managers. I would advise putting things in order within this franchise.

It wasn't my first time there, but I waited inside for 21 minutes again. And nobody seemed to care. It's more like slow food than fast food.

A perfectly normal and clean McDonald's located in an industrial area near Arnhem, off the A12 motorway. Orders are placed at the online kiosk and arrive within minutes. The staff are friendly and helpful. There's a fairly large outdoor seating area, but it's not very inviting. The interior is nicer. Overall, it's reasonably clean, and the restrooms are okay. The outdoor area is a bit noisy due to the surrounding roads. The food is fresh and tasty – the prices are similar to those in Germany, but tend to be a bit higher.

Big Mac, the food is just like all Macs. Fine. They really should clean better. The floor is sticky and the toilet is disgusting.

You can tell the staff is a bit inexperienced because the buns on the simple hamburger were a bit too burnt and the patty was a bit too cold; I suspect it wasn't on the grill long enough. Also, the bacon was just reheated bacon and not crispy as it should be. I know there are standard timers on it to keep this running smoothly, but apparently something is going wrong. Too bad, good luck next time.

Cheerful staff. McDonald's is always the same so you know what you're getting and I love that!

We waited an hour for our food, and then the wrong thing arrived, and when the correct food arrived, they forgot the fries!

Busy, not very fast and not very clean

The McD is suffering from some shrinkflation, or so it seems. The McFlurry costs almost 4 euros, but it holds as much soft serve as an average cone. And the wraps are genuinely squished together. This was so much better.

We made a stop here on our way to the IJsselmeer. The restaurant seemed clean, the staff were friendly, and our order arrived promptly. So there was nothing to complain about.

Good, fast service, but nothing was right. I ordered 5 large double Big Tasty menus, 6 fries with sauce, 1 Spa Red, and 4 Spa Blue. I was at the counter to pick it up and it said 1 Spa Blue and 4 Spa Red; that was all I saw there. When I got home, I saw 5 medium fries instead of 5 large fries. Fries sauce was also missing twice, and this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Whenever we get from there, something is always missing, hence this review.

The food here is otherwise fine and tasty. However, the seating area isn't always very clean, and I've noticed this for a while now. Three or four people stand there chatting and wiping down trays. They collect the trays and empty cups. Otherwise, hardly anyone looks after it. Today, one person was just walking around in circles, pushing crumbs and lettuce leaves off tables with a card, and then sat down to clean the tables with what looked like a dry cloth. Now, somewhere where we wanted to sit, a milkshake cup had fallen under the table, or so it seemed. The cleaner, sitting down and seemingly asleep, walked past it at least five times. When the food was brought, I pointed this out to the employee at the dirty table. This was passed on, and I saw it happen too. But nothing happened; nothing was cleaned. Eventually, I walked over to a manager and expressed my frustration about the lazy staff in the lobby and how dirty it was. The manager acted politely and went straight to the staff. After that, everything was suddenly cleaned up. But what I find strange is that work is only carried out after they have been spoken to. A tip for the McDonald's here in Duiven: pay a bit more attention to your lobby and the lazy staff there, and make sure everything is a bit cleaner. Because there is plenty of staff walking around there, only they do very little. The floors are sticky under the tables, and the benches and chairs are dirty. They aren't swept; no, they are swept right off the tables. The trash cans are overflowing.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this was scandalous. Long wait for the order. After asking, it turned out to be ready. McFlurry half melted, barely any Maltesers or caramel sauce. On top of that, it hadn't been stirred. Several customers received the wrong items with their orders. There was a lot of staff, but they were mostly busy with each other. The manager just stood there and watched...

The wait inside for my order was 23 minutes, and they were still missing one item. It was a total disaster. That was the last time I was there. Always check to make sure you've received everything, because this isn't the first time something has been missing.

The hamburger wasn't cold, we took the drive-thru so the atmosphere in our car is fine... you have to order in English, unfortunately they still don't understand it. IT'S HARD THAT I CAN'T JUST ORDER SOMETHING IN DUTCH IN MY OWN COUNTRY ??? Where is this going ????

There were four of us eating, and afterwards we ordered two McFlurries. One McFlurry cup was 80% full and looked fine; the second third was filled and barely stirred. I walked over to the manager and pointed out that something had gone wrong with my McFlurry, but he wasn't really willing to help. According to him, that was correct and there was nothing wrong with it. I have eaten hundreds of McFlurries in my life and I know what I'm talking about. I am regularly in the neighborhood and drive past often, but this is definitely the last time. What a lousy place and a terrible manager!

I ate 2 McFlurries here; they were fine in themselves, but a very small amount for a lot of money, a waste. So 4 stars because it is fine, only -1 because of the toilets, as they were dirty.

Does a McDonald's have atmosphere? Almost never. Is the food good? No. The difference can be made by the service; and that was nowhere to be found. It took a very long time.

Nice that charging at McDonald's is okay; fast charging wasn't available even six months ago. Apparently, it still hasn't been fixed. A bit of a shame, especially if you choose your restaurant based on the fast charging they promote 😉

After waiting 5 minutes, they tried to deliver the wrong order in the drive-thru. I still passed on the order. Waited another 7 minutes. Old, limp, lukewarm fries, without salt. Old nuggets, but I only received 1 sauce instead of 2. Asked twice for the fry sauce... It just wasn't included.

It was a very modern McDonald's restaurant. The food was as usual. The service was a bit strange. Those eating in and using the drive-thru were definitely given preferential treatment. Those ordering to go and wanting their food to go had to wait quite a while.

McDonald's in Duiven is very mediocre. The staff come across as very unmotivated. Tables were not cleaned. Fries were forgotten with three menus. Leftover drinks? Difficult to pour into a tube that was sealed shut with duct tape. In short, if you still want to go to a McDonald's, you'd better skip the one in Duiven.

First, the cashier entered the order incorrectly; then, in addition to the hamburger and chicken burger, instead of 20 chicken nuggets, we received 13 chicken nuggets with 5 cooked cheese soufflé flour balls that really didn't taste good. Not recommended!

I ordered a double bacon and egg mcmuffin and there was just 1 slice of bacon on it, and not bacon but lard + a bizarre amount of disgusting cheddar cheese, yuck.

I had a drink myself. My girlfriend wanted something to eat. I know it's high in calories. I felt hungry again quickly.

Ordered two ice creams to eat on the terrace. After more than half an hour, still nothing received.

There's no optimization. The staff is rushing around the restaurant, wasting time. Our order of six cheeseburgers and two Cokes took 40 minutes to prepare, and we ended up losing it until we contacted the manager, who ended up preparing our order himself.

The food was good, but everything else was very, very dirty. Trash cans overflowing. Toilets very filthy. Staff uninterested and not really motivated to work. No more MC in Duiven for us.

We just stopped here briefly to grab a bite to eat (on the way). It is so filthy inside: the tables were dirty, and there were used trays with leftovers everywhere on the tables because all the trash cans were overflowing. And we definitely weren't there during "rush hour". Too disgusting for words.

The employee skips "Good afternoon" these days when you're paying at the McDrive. Then you are expertly parked in the holding area in English, where you can wait 8 minutes for two lukewarm McKrokets to be delivered by the next employee with a heavy heart... It must be terrible to work here.

What is the logic that when you go through the drive-thru, you get your ice cream order first and then have to wait 10 minutes for it to get hot?

€4.25 for a McFlurry with barely any M&M's and hardly any caramel sauce. They used to be well-filled, but now it looks mostly like a cup of soft serve ice cream with a few stray toppings. If the price goes up, the contents shouldn't go down. Very disappointing. They didn't want to resolve it either. They could have kept it and given me my money back.

I went to eat at Mac Duiven for the last time and I ordered a burger, and the bun and the hamburger were completely soggy. Then I went to an employee and they didn't answer and they didn't do anything about it, and there was hair in my burger.

We had a very unpleasant experience at the McDonald’s McDrive last night around 1:30 AM on Sunday, May 17. We had to wait for more than 30 minutes, while the staff seemed mostly busy talking to friends in a car. Customers seemed to have absolutely no priority. After that, we were also deliberately pulled over for just a few cheeseburgers, while other cars were served faster. Very unprofessional and a shame, especially in the middle of the night when you just want to be served quickly.

Wrap NO CHILI .. AGAIN WITH CHILI ...forgot the salad last time ...forgot a burger 3 times the time before that .. just checked everything, but the wrap is packed, so we relied on .. unfortunately this again .. never picked anything up though always called politely .... but this was the last time MC Duiven, we'd rather drive 10 minutes further where we are sure to have the order complete 99.9 percent of the time instead of just 13 percent ...

I don't think there were any managers present today. It looked like a zoo. Normally, it is fine to grab a quick bite to eat. But today, the staff seemed to have received no upbringing.

There is food lying on the ground here at the drive-thru. When I pointed out that there are people who don't even have enough to eat and that this is really not okay, the manager started laughing and pushed it away as if it were nothing. Everyone just stood there and watched. The lack of empathy for people who are less fortunate is truly appalling. I asked for my money back and went to eat somewhere else.

I'm simply comparing it to what I'm used to from McDonald's in Germany. The atmosphere is a definite plus, as is the friendliness. However, the prices are outrageous. I was there with two children and ended up spending over €50. I can get the same thing for €10-15 less in Germany.

What a terrible McDonald's... in the drive-thru you are served by someone who barely speaks Dutch, and at the window by an English-speaking lady... last time I've been to Duiven!!!

Always fast and friendely emplooees

While waiting for our order, we saw the women helping themselves to the ready-made fries from the paper cone and then handing the food to customers. This is unacceptable and simply doesn't work.

Always busy and just what you can and should expect from a McDonald's.

Nice and easy when you're driving on the A12... just turn off at Duiven and then eat with a super nice team.

There is a very nasty little man walking around there who calls himself a manager. Meanwhile, he berates the staff. And shouts through the McDonald's. If you want to keep the staff, create a nice atmosphere. Then the young people will surely want to work harder.

I ordered the Mario menu but only received the contents, so no toy or packaging. Also, nothing about our order was correct. We were also missing our straws. Disappointing.

McDonald’s pigeons. I’ll start by saying that the food, as almost always, was at a good temperature. However, I did miss a burger, but this is nothing unusual at McDonald’s. Furthermore, thanks to the service, the problem was resolved, and quickly too. When you are being served, they are friendly and enthusiastic; otherwise, from a distance, it doesn't seem very welcoming. This may have its reasons and is otherwise not a cause for concern. Otherwise, the hygiene is fine, both in the restaurant and in the restroom. Highly recommended

In Europe, a Mac is a Mac. It is clean and spacious.

Not friendly staff at the drive

Last night, February 28, 2026, I went to McDonald's in Duiven. It was very busy at the checkout. Then I ordered at the counter. There were people there too, and we had to ask for help. The manager was yelling about what someone had spit in the toilet. Unfortunately, I received the wrong order. I went back and was helped by the manager. They were supposed to bring a new burger. 40 minutes later, still no new burger. Back to the counter, oh, they must have misunderstood. 10 minutes later, hey, hey, a new burger. A mess by the trash can, tables on the floor. The staff works incredibly hard. Then there are the managers chatting and laughing with each other. Unfortunately, it was a bad way to end a day that was supposed to be so enjoyable. 😡😡😡😡😡

As a regular visitor to Mac in Hoorn and Harlingen, and now for the first time in Duiven, I'm satisfied with the service at the cash register, among other things. That was different last Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Mac de Aker in Amsterdam. There, around 7:15 PM, we were forced to use the "pole." A gentleman around 50 said, "I'd like to help you, but I'm not allowed at the cash register." We then left.

I sat down for a quick bite to eat last night after a long day. There wasn't a single clean table in sight. The floor was littered with trash. The trash cans were ALL overflowing. The food took ages, and I even ordered an ice cream and had to take it away myself because it had been melting on the counter for a while. What a filthy, disgusting mess it was. McDonald's doesn't have high standards. But I've never seen anything like it.

Today I had a bad experience at McDonald's. The drink wasn't very carbonated, and the spicy McChicken was cold. The fries were cooked properly and were hot, which we were happy with. I finally ordered a McFlurry and saw it being prepared and placed on the shelf. Younger employees were taking orders from other shelves. Even though my order was ready, no one thought to check the ice cream on the top shelf. Almost 10 minutes later, Raymond noticed the situation, apologized, and brought the order. McDonald's should have more attentive and customer-friendly employees like Raymond. He had already helped me with a replacement drink. Thanks to him, I'm giving 3 stars; otherwise, I would have given only 1.

Compliments to the staff. Friendly and polite employees, everything was clean, and the table was even cleared for us. The fries were a bit limp, but otherwise, it was really great.

Great Mac. Ate the food while charging the car at Van der Valk (a missed opportunity for Van der Valk), and we saw many people doing that.

That is what you can expect from a McDonald's... fast service and hot food... Friendly staff. Everywhere neat and tidy, and nice seating in the middle spread across 2 floors... The restrooms were extremely clean during my visit.

Cleaning a good Mac could be better

The cheeseburger was a dry bun. The quarter pounder was a tough, dry piece of meat. It was a huge mess inside. All the empty tables were dirty, the trash cans were overflowing, and on top of the trash cans was a veritable pyramid of dirty trays with trash packaging. And that at every trash can. A lot of trash on the floor.
