Meesterbakker Uljee in Wijk 00 Papendrecht

Today I bought a baguette for €2.55. It had no flavor, was poorly baked, and wasn't baked long enough. It's truly outrageous for a bakery at this price. You'd expect some kind of control over their products. The flavor was also lacking, and the baguette was dry.

My husband had come by yesterday especially to order for our special occasion today, and they forgot to keep the apple sled we ordered here for aside, I don't think we'll be back

I can't agree with the negative reviews I'm reading here at all; they're shocking. That's why I'm commenting here; I've been going there for years and have never had any problems. The pastries are fresh, the bread is delicious, and the staff are super friendly. I only get my apple puffs from Uljee; they're so good. The granola is highly recommended. I could list so many more. Definitely worth 5 stars for everything. I'll be back tomorrow to get my bread again, buy 3, get 2 free. Fantastic!!! Keep it up!

At checkout, I mentioned that the amount couldn't be correct. They curtly told me it was. The receipt was printed out with great difficulty. It turned out that gingerbread nuts had been charged. We had briefly held them in our hands, but put them back. Instead of ASKING if we wanted them after all, they charged us without mercy. But we were clearly NOT believed. I handed the bag over MYSELF so they could check it. I understand being vigilant about possible theft, but the way it was done is below par.

Served by 2 terribly sour ladies. Card payments don't work. Hopelessly old-fashioned. Bread is expensive. Annoyed because we don't have cash to pay. Called a thief. Shame. Never had problems at this branch before. Always enjoyed getting bread. I advise everyone against buying here. The pastries are now being put upside down in the box.

I didn't eat there. The bakery has a long history. Good value for money. Friendly staff. Sorry about that one star. It was a mistake on my part. You deserve four.
