Staff do not really know what hospitality means and in what form they should work with customers.

The products from Voskamp are excellent and the staff is always very friendly. But when there are more pigeons walking and flying around in the store than there are people in the store, I have my doubts about hygiene. According to all the staff, the head office does not want to do anything about it and staff are fobbed off with a plant sprayer and the comment "then you should just chase them away every now and then". I see 2 to 3 times a week that the pigeons actually walk away from the store and immediately follow the saleswoman back into the store. Apparently, combating pigeon nuisance is not a priority. Bad business for a company that sells food and bad business that the head office staff does not take action and fobs off the complaining staff with pointless solutions. The head office staff does not even take the time or effort to look into the situation because "that takes too much time" according to the saleswomen.
