Normally often satisfied with Mekking products. Got a pastry at half past ten this morning and really not happy. Custard was already half rolled and even had a kind of crust on it. Looking back, there were hardly any pastries left, so I now have the feeling that I just got the old stuff from yesterday. And sorry, but the amounts are not there to do that. Then make sure that the items from Bennekom are delivered on time.

Pastry shop Mekking in Veenendaal is always top notch in terms of experience and service. Especially when we are helped by the local manager and former student of ours, Christiaan Huibers. Always willing to have a nice chat with his old master and wife. Peppered with humor and self-mockery. But the point is: it is not cheap and that is completely justified, because it is all of extremely good quality and creativity. You keep coming back. Truly a 5-star pastry shop!!

Received a strawberry slip at Mekking because they were the best in the Netherlands. We certainly enjoyed that. In a word, it tasted DELICIOUS.

Enjoyed a high tea for 2 people this afternoon. We used the Lekker weg voucher from Hema. Both the savory and sweet portions tasted great. The service was very friendly. Definitely a place I will come back to again.
