I dined at Papermoon for the first time—and it immediately became a place to remember. The cuisine is refined without pretension: four courses, beautifully balanced, with surprising accents and beautifully crafted flavor explosions, from the pickled fennel as the entree, to the smoked beurre blanc as the entrée, to the flavorful pulled steak with the perfectly cooked bavette, and the parfait with Tonka beans for dessert—an excellent buildup of flavors. Each dish stands strong on its own, yet together they form a compelling whole. The wine pairings are thoughtful and well-matched—accompanying where necessary, yet with enough character to truly add something special. The standouts were the magnificent Sangiovese with the beef and the truly exceptional Pineau des Charente Blanc with the dessert, a lovely sweet wine with distinct notes of cognac. Attention is also paid to details, from presentation to timing. Even the cognac (from the same house as the Pineau des Charente) at the end had a story to tell. The atmosphere is calm, the service attentive, well-informed, and friendly without being forced. In short: a restaurant that impresses with quality. Papermoon is a fixture in Voorburg, but new to us. And as far as we're concerned, not only is it worth returning, but you've also gained a new ambassador.

Heerlijke, gezellige plek om te eten en drinken. Gastvrij, nog betaalbaar en een heel uitgebreid assortiment van wijnen, gins en meer.

Mooie lokatie in oud Voorburg. Gezellige lunchroom, zat helemaal vol. Uitgebreide lunchkaart mer heerlijke gerechten. Lekker gebak waarvan een deel door hen zelf gemaakt. Vriendelijk personeel. Bij mooi weer kun je achter in de tuin zitten. Reserveren is een aanrader. Daarna kun je nig even door de gezellige winkelstraat lopen.
