Good coffee in a relaxing atmosphere

Great espresso! I think the price is among the lowest for specialty coffee I have seen in the Netherlands (3 euros) and I like that there was a choice between two beans. Peru and Ethiopia both excellent options. The staff was very friendly!

The best coffee in Haarlem and Haarlemmermeer

Staff is very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is always perfectly clean and serene. Their pastries and especially the apple pie is the best! Sometimes they even have delicious gluten-free pastries for people with celiac. 😋

The espresso was too dark and sour. I had a cardamom bun that you could throw through a window. But the taste was okay. The service was friendly and efficient.

Visited with Ksenia on a Sunday morning in Haarlem. We had a double cortado and a cinnamon roll for 8 EUR, both good. The decor is charming, rustic wooden furniture with Moroccan-inspired accents that make it feel a bit different from a typical Dutch café. Relaxed atmosphere and a nice spot to sit for a while.

Visited on a sunny Saturday morning: busy terrace, but plenty of room inside. The entrance is right next to the bar. Then there is also a small table next to it, which causes congestion. After all, people come in, go out, and stand in line, and they all have to pass through the same square meter. It becomes chaotic because it is not clear what the line is. Subsequently, it took quite a while for the coffee to be served. A lot of people had to be served, so that is understandable, but why not put an extra machine there for peak times? In terms of taste, it was just fine, so maybe I should come back when it is quiet. But for now, there is better to be had in Haarlem.

This is our regular coffee spot in Haarlem. Good coffee and a diverse selection of good pastry. The staff are friendly and it’s a nice atmosphere. Love that they also have a little self help water station too.

I visited Mogador for a quick coffee in the morning. As they had fresh pastries went for a brownie. Such a shame! For a small piece of brownie I paid 4.5€ ! Was hard like a rock, i could not eat as did not want to destroy my teeth. Once I raised my claim to the barista, she said : those are chocolate bars inside 😂 Is a joke , they do not know what a brownie is about. Also I was complaining is freshness…. Apart from fact coffee was ok, modern atmosphere - should not visit them again. Much nicer speciality coffe places in Haarlem, with higher quality level pastries & understandable , kind team! Specially for same prices / or cheaper.

Excellent pastry, the banana cake is specially tasty (the best we’ve tried honestly) and the blueberry cake was also great. Nice and chill place to stay, also handy for a sweet snack to go. Prices are a bit high

My #2 favorite coffee in Haarlem (Sorry.. Pip Deli stays undefeated). Mogador is quite a popular coffee shop, no suprise obviously, as they serve very delicious coffee AND really really good pastries. I would definitely recommend their blueberry lemon cake or their coconut lemon cake, have you noticed I like lemon?? I like it best on a quiet weekday morning when most people are asleep or at work and it's just a few calm people enjoying their morning coffee in peace.

Amazing shop, I got the dirty chai and it was perfection. There was a lot of seating available and a big table for laptops that was super nice. Also amazing pour from the barista 👌🏼wasn’t too loud and very cozy feeling.

We're comfortable, but the value for money (especially the tea) isn't great. And what's more, you have to go to the bar yourself.

It’s a really great place to set up a lap top to work for a few hours. There are small individual tables with outlets available at each one. The only downside is the bathroom, they’re always run down and disgusting. I wish staff would look over them more. Other than that, it’s an awesome place to get some remote work done

The staff in here are so rude and so inattentive. It took more than 5 minutes for someone to serve me when I was standing at the counter, even though the cafe was empty and no one was in front of me. It then took more than 20 minutes for my coffee to arrive. When I mentioned the time, the waitress just pouted and walked away. Really need to employ some friendly efficient staff who care about service because this is a nice place with good coffee…. When it comes

With only three tables occupied, the staff forgot about us and we had to go back to the counter. The espresso was served without a saucer (sorry), without a spoon, and there was no sugar at the table, so none was brought. The quality of the espresso was poor. The carrot cake was okay, but we expected better service and a convincing apology.

Very good coffee for years, but I rarely went because it was usually full. But since last year's expansion it has become beautiful and spacious. The coffee is still of the highest quality! I will come again regularly.

Had high expectations, but the latte and cappuccino were very disappointing. Way too watery, not strong enough. The poppy seed cake had little flavor and was quite disappointing. The snicker bar was tasty.

I was here two years ago and I thought it was fantastic. I especially loved the pastry shop (pumpkin chai cake and almond cake). Unfortunately I was there today and I was very disappointed. It lacked the atmosphere I knew before the renovation. The cakes that were so beautiful and delicious then were now plain and tasteless. Very unfortunate.

A nice coffee shop with delicious cakes or banana bread for coffee. It is usually very busy in the morning, especially on Saturday mornings. Staff are very friendly. There are crayons and coloring books for the little ones.

Coffee lukewarm to cold, poor service (dirty table, empty cups and glasses from previous guests were not removed). Took forever for the order to be delivered. Unpleasant acoustics, which is bad when many families with small children come. All in all an extremely bad experience. Oh yeah, it's not cheap either.

Every week I go to Haarlem early in the morning on Friday, toil in the field of labor where I offer my efforts on the altar of intention. Blood, sweat and tears are shed in appalling circumstances solely for the greater honor and glory of big business. My only bright spot in this valley of deep darkness is a delicious cup of coffee made by Anna and/or Pauline. As tasteful as the ladies themselves are! 5/5 would recommend to friends

Recently renovated you will find lots of space but the acoustics will make it hard to order (prepare to lean towards the barista) and enjoy a coffee - independent of how good it might be. I suggest to sit outside or take the coffee to go.

Typical local place: good coffee and cake, but if you are not a blonde Dutch person, they don't know how to deal with you. Had to correct several times that I am Dutch, but as an immigrant they ignore that. They refused to explain in Dutch what kind of pastries they have, and they were unable to speak English either.

Unfortunately, Mogador is no longer what it used to be. Impersonal, just like a factory and not very customer friendly.

Small but delicious assortment of cakes, several gluten and lactose free options. 2024 update: over the past year, and with the renovation, I have noticed a drop in the smiles from the team. They used to be very cheerful and friendly - now not so much. This makes me sad. Perhaps it's too much traffic for the staff they have? I've been going to Mogador for over six years, and they were ALWAYS friendly and with big smiles. I really hope that happiness returns 🙏

Comfortable for drinking coffee. :) The coffee was great and so was the hot chocolate. You can sit outside or inside. - If you sit outside, you have a beautiful view of the large square and, if necessary, the sun 🌞. There is a toilet here for guests.

Very tasty coffee, but the employees seem to care little about the customers and their experience. There was no rush behind helping customers or making their orders. Yet there are other places in Haarlem where you can get good coffee and good service.

Overall bad. Hair in the food, dusty and disorganized. 17 euros for one small coffee and pie. A bit expensive even for the area. The only seat I found was next to an extremely dusty houseplant or the WC. As I sat, a silverfish bug crawled along the wall in front of me. The servers seemed to not know who ordered what and where they were. To receive my small order took a while, and the servers brought food in and out and asked people to repeat their order. When I finally got my order, the pie had a very large blonde hair baked into it. The server never came to check, so I had to bring it across the restaurant to the desk. Probably the worst experience I've ever had at a cafe. I wouldn't come here again.

So to be fair the girl serving me was really nice. The girl that gave me the coffees was not friendly at all and didn’t tell me that these were mine and left me standing there. Banana bread was ok but not a decent slice and my croissant was not fresh but dry. Unfortunately I won’t be returning.

Nice location and atmosphere. Coffee quite specific due to the choice of the coffee beans but nice in latte. Staff is friendly but not always on the top. E.g. we were almost charged twice for the same pastry. Big plus that the place is dog friendly

The woman asked us to sit down, she would come and take our order. After fifteen minutes, nothing happened while the two women gossiped behind the bar. Very stupid and inconsiderate.

Nice cafe. One of the few places in Haarlem that is open early in the morning. And even in the morning there are quite a few customers, which immediately increases the atmosphere. Coffee is tasty. Prices are Haarlem standard, a bit on the high side.

Mein Gott, ich hab das echt selten bei Cafés: (Vorab: Ich war nicht vorher im “Cannabis-Café” nebenan, der folgende Eindruck ist ohne Lust auf Kuchen und nüchtern entstanden!) Verflucht nochmal, wie lecker ist der Kuchen? Das ist ja feinste Konditorei und der Kaffee ist auch sehr aromatisch. Alles sieht auch noch schön aus. Eine Bedienung wirkte etwas unfreundlich, letztes Mal war es aber viel herzlicher. Mega-Empfehlung!

Nooit eerder geweest maar omdat we trek hadden en andete tentjes nog niet volledig open waren hier beland. Klein maar fijn, rustige ambiance en bediening. Maar daardoor aantrekkelijk en gezellig, gesprek met de medemens en genieten van de zon op deze dag.
