Moy Fa in Kern Axel

Picked up the combination platter yesterday. The shrimp with mushrooms literally contained 3 shrimp... a shame, because my daughter is crazy about shrimp... Unfortunately, the roasted bacon was very dry and rock hard; only the fatty edge was decent. The noodles were also drier than I expect from a Chinese restaurant... unfortunately, everything was also quite bland in taste. Next time, I'll go back to Wok King in Terneuzen. You get more for your money and much more flavor there.

Great service, they forgot my order. Received 1000 apologies, a beer, and prawn crackers for the inconvenience and to make the wait more bearable. It was 36 degrees, so this can happen, right?

After having picked up our food from Moy fa in Axel a few times, we regret to report that we really did not enjoy the food. The chicken, vegetables, and rice were unfortunately completely tasteless. We added some sauce ourselves to get a little extra flavor... and that for a price of nearly €55. A number of previous experiences in the restaurant were very good, so it surprises us that the takeaway quality is substandard as far as we are concerned. We have decided to go to the local Chinese restaurant for takeaway from now on, where the quality has always been good to date. A good price, plenty of choice, freshly prepared, and very flavorful seasoning.

There were four of us and we ordered four different appetizers and main courses so we could share, and we made sure the gluten-sensitive person could eat almost everything. It was truly delicious and enjoyable!

The weekly menu has become much more expensive AND the quality is worse than ever. I've tried it a few times this year. I would definitely stop asking for so many extras and just provide standard nasi instead of white rice.

Picked up food today. 6:00 PM was clearly stated. So, make sure I'm there by 6:00 PM. I came home and the food wasn't really warm. The order said 5:30 PM. So, it's understandable that it's cold—it was probably ready half an hour earlier. The garlic chicken (with two stars—meaning spicy) wasn't spicy at all, which is not what we were used to. Such a shame, that's not how we're used to Moy Fa.

Well worth the five stars! What a lovely atmosphere and delicious food. A warm, personal welcome from the owner. And very friendly service from all the staff, especially Maxime. These people clearly enjoy their work.

We recently discovered this place thanks to CVCZVL friends Snoodijk and Cappon. Yesterday, we were there for dinner with a large group of "Dog Walkers." It was perfectly fine when they wanted to make a dessert that wasn't on their menu. "COLONEL" ice cream specialty from France, but the Moy Fa version was just as good as the French one!

We had a vegan meal for six people. We ordered and reserved in advance. Delicious dishes. We received a house amuse-bouche, a starter, two side dishes, special prawn crackers (tempeh), and then six main courses and various side dishes. The dishes looked beautiful and were very flavorful. We had a wonderful meal.

My very first visit. Picked up a combination platter, everything was fine. The flavours here in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen are a bit less strong than we were used to. A matter of getting used to it. Prices are quite steep, a spring roll 4.50 euros that is possible, but when unpacked it turns out to be a slightly larger Vietnamese spring roll

Chinese gluten free rice table and a normal rice table taken away. Very good.

Arrived at 18:15. It was busy. We had ordered the surprise menu. At 21:00 we had received 2 small dishes. Next to us was a couple, the man had received 2 dishes and the woman still nothing. I have a lot of patience but it ran out. I went to ask if it was normal and where the food was. They didn't know. We didn't either. We paid the bill for the 2 dishes and our drinks. They apologized but that was it. The boss said that next time we would get dinner at his expense. There won't be a next time. The 2 dishes we received were tasty. But waiting 2 hours for the next dish while people who came in after us did receive their dishes is not good. Too bad but they won't see us again.

Unfortunately experienced very long waiting times. After sitting for 40 minutes, asked where the drinks were. After 1 hour and 45 minutes the main course finally arrived. It can be busy, we understand that, but this is very long. Take empty glasses with you but do not ask if you want something else to drink. Disappointing experience. Next time I will not go to Moy fa

In dit prachtige restaurant genoten van het Rijsttafel keuze menu. Drie gerechten kiezen uit vier mogelijkheden. Wij werden verrast door de attente bediening, een amuse vooraf en de kwaliteit van het geserveerde menu. Fantastisch! Dit restaurant is een aanrader!

Pleasant Chinese restaurant. I ate a delicious Beijing duck with yellow Chinese rice, generous portions and nice and crispy fried. The snack that was offered beforehand was also great. Thank you from Belgium

I used to come here more often and you could eat here and it was also of very good quality. The last time it was a huge disappointment. The chicken satay consisted of many fatty pieces of meat, I personally found the satay to contain more fat than meat. This is partly because they now use chicken thigh instead of chicken fillet. And the quality of the meat had also deteriorated considerably in the other dishes. However, the prices are not low, so you can expect a nice, good meal. Really a shame, then I'll have to look for another good Chinese restaurant.

Driemaal Chinese rijsttafel. Droog, bijna geen saus , en duur. Het betreft hier n afhaal maaltijd, maar thuis gekomen, en uitgepakt, waren we zeer teleurgesteld met wat er stond. Gerechten waren droog en spaarzaam voorzien van saus. Een tegenvaller van jewelste, voor €96,00.

Na ...heel veel jaren van het bestaan geweten te hebben hier eindelijk eens gaan eten en we werden zeker niet teleurgesteld. Erg goed gegeten, ruime keuze aan gerechten. De mensen in de bediening zijn netjes, vriendelijk en houden alles goed in de gaten waardoor je je erg welkom en ontspannen voelt. Niet je standaard avondje Chinees om de hoek in overdosis. Maar een echte restaurant ervaring met Chinese gerechten.

Na het lezen van verschillende mindere recensies besloten we toch om het zelf te gaan ervaren. En wat een geweldige ervaring! De meeste negatieve commentaren die we gelezen hadden gingen over de onvriendelijkheid van de mensen die er werken en de snelheid van het serveren. Noch het één noch het ander liep in ons geval fout. Het personeel was ZEER vriendelijk en behulpzaam en het eten kwam zoals het hoorde. En wat een genot was dat! SUPER lekker en meer dan voldoende. We kozen voor het maandmenu en dat was een schot in de roos. Eén ding is zeker: wij komen terug!

Had dinner at Moy Fa with friends last weekend. Always nice to eat here. Just a bit different from the 'normal' Chinese. Top: - Very friendly staff - Easy parking nearby - Also a choice of less standard dishes. - Amuse beforehand - Dim Sum very good - Peking duck was great! Slightly less great: - Sticky chicken dish was okay. Doesn't really feel like a Chinese dish - Not cheap (we paid around €60 p.p.) But will definitely come back again!

Want to go out for dinner on Sunday evening. Don't feel like driving far or going fancy. This is a good location for us. Can we go there on foot? And a good menu with a changing monthly menu, but also many other options. In the restaurant I like that you can not only order the standard rice tables, but also very tasty other things. Ondertussen al een paar keer geweest en altijd zeer tevreden. Heel vriendelijke eigenaars, nog steeds dezelfde personen die het restaurant gestart zijn. Denk dat dit al genoeg zegt. Maar ook heel vriendelijk personeel, attentvol, behulpzaam. Het eten, perfect gewoon.. natuurlijk smaken verschillen. Maar niet de "Westerse" Chinees die je overal om de hoek vindt en dat is toch al leuk. Wachttijden, vindt ik normaal.. je komt niet op restaurant om je op te jagen en je zal er echt nooit alleen zitten. Beste reserveren op voorhand. De rekening.. gewoon normaal, zeker niet duur voor het lekkere eten dat je krijgt. Ik hoop dat men nog lang doorgaat met dit restaurant.. misschien de dochter als opvolgster ?

I always pick up here and they are always on time with my order and always friendly on the phone and when you come to pick it up. And when you walk in there is a nice Chinese atmosphere. Update: it is now a shame that several things had already cooled down too much and were tough, probably because it was busy with orders for Mother's Day.

Very tasty food, one taste sensation after another. And one of the tastiest fish soups we ever ate, the carte blanche menu (surprise menu from the chef), staff very friendly and polite.

Delicious food, not comparable to an ordinary Chinese. Is exclusive! Ordered Romantica dessert. Delicious large coupe with ice cream and whipped cream, fresh fruit, macaron, straws and some drinks. Don't forget to bring a festive fireworks display.

Ordered by telephone, friendly and easily understandable young lady on the line. Food was ready within half an hour. It was easy to also order vegetarian noodles and nasi as a side dish, so that was certainly a big plus for us as a vegetarian family. The food was tasty and large portions.

Very good Chinese as it should be with both the traditional menu and the modern kitchen. Everything is well taken care of and of excellent quality. Service is very friendly and smooth. Many other restaurants can go south here. The owner and proprietor assist in the operation and visit regularly to inquire whether everything is to your liking.
