Voor ons een gezin met 3 kinderen ,man klaagte de bolletjes wel heel klein waren ,werd verder niet op gereageerd .Wij waren aan de beurt en inderdaad de bolletjes waren (te) klein ,Wij hebben vaker ijs gehaald ,maar ik denk dat te kleine ijsbolletjesknijper was. meisje kon er niks aan doen ,collega zei als u een klacht heeft via de website . bij deze dus...

Busy bakery and ice cream parlor. Because of the warm weather, they'd placed inflatable pools under some tables to keep feet cool. Very funny. They also have a wide selection of ice cream, as well as pastries and drinks. It's a shame you couldn't get a smaller/simpler sundae on the terrace; they only offered large four-scoop sundaes at a great price. If you just want an ice cream, you can go to the takeaway counter next door.

We picked up sandwiches during our vacation and decided to have breakfast on the terrace the next day because it looked so inviting. The service is very friendly and helpful; they can't help it... Perhaps we should have stood up for ourselves more. We ordered two breakfasts for two people or more at €16.50 per person. The three of us wanted to eat this because we weren't very hungry and had a restless dog with us. The waitress had to come and tell us on behalf of her boss that this wasn't allowed. Three sets of food for two breakfasts... (just adding a plate isn't allowed). We ordered three breakfasts for €16.50 each and were charged €59.75 for breakfast for three people, because you have to pay for two coffees and one orange juice separately. In a word: Outrageous. Once again, the service was very friendly and helpful. She packed almost everything for us to take with us. What an overabundance, and it's a shame the boss didn't explain this embarrassing situation to our table himself. We won't be coming back.🙏

On the terrace, you'll feel like you're in Ibiza from early morning until late afternoon. Delicious products, friendly staff. And in the morning, an oasis of calm.

We had a delicious lunch on a charming square! An extensive and surprising menu: appetizers, ice cream sundaes, luxury sandwiches, and dinner. So much to choose from. But above all, the ingredients and preparation are top-quality! Kudos to the kitchen and the excellent service! We'll be back soon to try the rest of the menu.

Very difficult: Server 1: My colleague is recording. Server 2: My colleague is recording. Server 3: Can I answer? Server 4: Oh, I ordered 3 coffees? I ordered 2. Question: Can I pay now? Server 4: Pay at the bar. Server 5: I just put down my pastry fork and my plate is being taken away! Question: Can I still drink my coffee? Server 5: Pay at the bar? We got ice cream at Nijkamp. (We had the mocha, berries, pistachio, and pineapple flavors.) This ice cream was truly delicious! And for this quality, it's really not expensive. Highly recommended for all ice cream lovers!

Great spot for fresh bread, pastries, and coffee. We stumbled upon it in the evening. They had a snack platter with 8 items and an extra side dish (e.g., nachos). Lots of food and affordable. We were absolutely stuffed for two. It was incredibly delicious; we went there two nights in a row.

Been looking for this bread for 50 years. In the mid 70s there was a baker in Zeist who sold Gelders Tarwe bread. Never found anything like it anywhere else until this week here. It's called Korrelgrof. I wish there was a baker in Alkmaar who bakes this.

A while ago on the radio: “In the hospitality industry, fewer and fewer staff are trained for this…” The consequences can be seen at this restaurant. The many reviews about the lack of professionalism of the staff have not helped. Incidentally, that is not to be blamed on the staff — but on the management. Still, a little about this afternoon: the service had no idea what was happening on the terrace. Only the guests who were waving the most wildly were helped. That sets the tone. We order from Miss 1: very nice, but completely incompetent. The guests at the table behind us order exactly the same. This system of ignorance is not designed for that. Our drinks are promptly given to the other guests, and we get nothing. Then Miss 1 comes back to ask what we want to drink. You get the idea… a light bulb actually goes on. In the meantime, a young man has claimed the terrace for himself. He asks at every table if everything is to our liking — including ours. “Yes, we have ordered twice now, but does it help?” The young man sees on his device that it is coming. He tells us and makes no effort to apologize for the delay. In fact, he makes no effort to hide the fact that he thinks I have no opinion about it. And then our drinks actually arrived. The very friendly holiday assistant did say “sorry” and tried to explain how it all happened. Incidentally, the request to go inside to pay is also a sign of an unprofessional organization. If this had been all, I really would not have written a negative review about it. But because of what happened when paying, I now feel compelled to do so. Miss 1 was now behind the cash register and asked where I had been sitting. I didn’t get any further than: “Outside?” At that moment, the young man joined in the conversation, mentioned the table number and the drinks — and walked past me outside without looking at me, with an arrogant grin. Yes, of course I should have asked him immediately why he was being so rude and condescending, but unfortunately I am not that quick-witted. So I left the review.

This is really recommended, we came for a cup of coffee, but around us we saw delicious sorbets, you can't think of anything so crazy, what a choice, and so royal, nowhere in the Netherlands have I seen and tasted something so delicious, it is not near us, but we will definitely go there again. I can hardly wait. Now I keep looking if there is something like this near us, unfortunately, we have to go back to Holten.

On holiday in Holten and sat on the terrace at Nijkamp several times. Got delicious bread, had an ice cream, coffee and cake and ate a few times. Never before experienced such good quality in 1 store. Compliments!!!

Top place for a tasty lunch, snack or drink.

If you, as a motorcyclist, sit on the terrace, you will simply not be helped. I walk around waving at several people in the service. But they were too busy chatting with customers to help me. Better to go one door further where they are motorcycle friendly

Unfortunately, smoking on the terrace is still allowed here. Very annoying! Otherwise very good. Lots of choice of pastries.

After a short holiday in Holten, we came across this wonderful opportunity again on our way to Groningen. Wow, what a selection of pastries and bread they have there. Nice staff and delicious pastries and coffee And of course I took a box of super quality tompouces to Groningen. Highly recommended Nijkamp. We'll be back. We came here for lunch. Lots of seating (also a large terrace). There are quite a few options (including vegetarian ones) and from 5 p.m. you can also order dinner. Good coffee. We ate a pork belly sandwich with gochujang and a hot meat sandwich. Both tasty. Not exciting (the gochujang couldn't really be tasted, for example), but just good and fresh. The Smidsbelt sandwich is -apparently- a local sandwich. It's a sausage roll with some grated cheese on top. And the minced meat contains some vegetables. That was nothing special. Fast and smooth operation. Great place for lunch (and of course it is also a regular bakery).

This afternoon, 14/4/25 we had a nice lunch. Very good. No long wait for super friendly service and delicious food for a good price. Beautiful restaurant near the bakery, but even more beautiful is the terrace. If you're even in the area, go with that banana. Have a great morning/afternoon/evening.

Had lunch. Siege left much to be desired. Forgotten ingredients on your bread. I do not recommend Flamkuchen. 1 slice of Parma ham and 2 slices of cheese with arugula and a few sun-dried tomatoes. We wanted to have something to drink, but this was impossible because we saw no one on the terrace who came and when they were there They didn't look up or back. There was no question whether it had tasted good. They could have earned a lot more extra 4 drinks and certainly everyone an ice cream. Now we're going to get ice cream somewhere else. Very expensive for what you get, price-quality ratio is hard to find here. Staff also has no idea, the ladies talk in one and the same tone. Have no idea what serving contents. Very unfortunate!

Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference, like pieces of cake with tea/coffee. Or cotton towels in the toilet. The menu is extensive and the flammkuchen and toasties are good. And that also applies to the service.
