This living room is part of the Maankwartier, which is still unfinished and is still very much in demand. It is lovely to linger here with a cup of coffee or tea and/or something tasty to go with it. One can wait for the trains heading in all directions. The living room is very well-visited by travelers as well as non-travelers, and is well-maintained and kept clean by the staff working there. Highly appreciated and accepted! Heerlen.

Dearest people I know, when I still lived in Heerlen I loved going there; very "dog-friendly people" who are always willing to help and have a chat. While people went to sit on expensive terraces, I liked to go there to grab a coffee with my dog ​​James. Keep up the good work, Ladies (and Gentleman). It is just a bit of a shame that Harry (a homeless visitor) is ruining things and bothering other guests, but the ladies (+ gentleman) can't do anything about it as long as the mayor (Alderman for Public Order & Safety) doesn't intervene; unfortunately, this results in only 4 stars instead of 5 (which they deserve).

The cappuccino was lukewarm, a disgrace.

Been multiple times now I try to get a quick coffee before my transfer in the morning. Never a second cashier open, taking their sweet time while having fun behind the cashier with a line of 7-10 people in front of them.

You're open until 9 PM, so make sure you have that cup of coffee until 9 PM! Don't clean at 8:45 PM and then say you're sorry. Very poor policy.

My daughter, who is visually impaired, needs to use the restroom frequently. Whenever the station restroom is broken, she tries to use the restroom in the living room. She's then forced to buy something. €5 for a sandwich and restroom. Perhaps it would be a good idea to charge a small fee instead of forcing people in need to pay.

I politely asked if I could use the restroom because the one at the station was broken. I offered the caveat that I'd leaked, so I could at least fix it. But the woman firmly said no several times, it's only for guests. Besides, I expected a little more from women who understand how annoying this can be. I also hoped they'd be a bit more helpful in "emergency" situations. You don't want a child peeing on your floor, do you?

I have lived in Heerlen for years and have been travelling by train here for years. The attitude and food quality I encountered when I first arrived at Huiskamer is a world of difference from when I came here recently. The staff always look grumpy, once they sold me a cake that was expired, I noticed it later, when I went and told them, they said "it looks fresher, you can eat it". This is a station café, I go in every time, my train is leaving in 3-4 minutes and I wait for them to chat so I can buy something. I have been met with a very rude attitude lately, I will not choose this place again.

This morning, June 24, 2024, I was laughably surprised at what happened to me, I had to go to Eindhoven and came from Landgraaf, so change trains in Heerlen, let's see if I can quickly score another bottle of drink, yes, "the Living Room" a station shop with two entrances, one where a line of 15 people was waiting outside the shop and an open door where the restaurant is located, on that door it was indicated that bottled water can be purchased there for €1.75 so my choice was easy, once inside I saw the same queue where I just got off, but no bottled water, oh yes, in the display case at the side of the queue, so I got a bottle of my choice and walked back to the cash register where there was no queue and wanted to pay for that bottle there, but that was simply not possible, the employee said, "you have to stand in line first" huh, I just got out of there because I wanted to catch another train, I had decided to take the other door, but I couldn't pay for the bottle so I went on the train and bought a bottle in my own Eindhoven (where the economy is understandably better) at one of the chains where the bottles almost come to you, also good...

Really great staff. The trains had been canceled all morning and a woman, I think the owner, came to offer free tea or coffee to everyone who was waiting in the cold. Definitely worth 5 stars!

After I started drinking it, I started to taste a lot of milk. I thought maybe it wasn't mixed, so I shook it a little to get the chocolate taste. It still didn't change and the taste was the same. Because as someone who drinks HOT CHOCOLATE all the time, the corners of my mouth would be sticky even if I wiped it with a wet tissue, due to the excessive amount of chocolate in all the HOT CHOCOLATES I bought. And I always asked myself why they put so much chocolate in it. Going back to the beginning, when I opened the lid of the HOT CHOCOLATE I bought from HUIS KAMER at the HEERLEN station, I could not see any chocolate residue left at the bottom, the remaining liquid amount was as if WATER and MILK were mixed, and even when you shake it slightly, it looked like the WATER ratio was even higher. It was flowing left and right, as fast as WATER. I have never had such a tasteless HOT CHOCOLATE that ruined the taste of my mouth when drunk. Went inside yesterday, January 17, there was snow outside and no public transport was available. I wanted to warm up inside and go to the toilet. I spoke to the lady if I could use it, she looked at me from head to toe with a grumpy look and pointed to the door... She didn't even bother to say anything. Due to the failure of public transport, there were several people waiting inside who were allowed to use the facilities. It was clear to me why I was treated differently again....

Leuk soort van cafeetje dat ideaal is bij doortocht. Als je met de trein gaat of gewoon langs komt. Super vriendelijk personeel dat heel betrokken is en lekkere koffie maakt. Hebben ook een zegeltjes actie waarbij je bij 6 zegels een gratis koffie krijgt.

Vriendelijk personeel en de cappuccino extra sterk is lekker. Zeker één keer per week een gratis cappuccino dank zij de zegeltjes die je krijgt, een mooie klantenbinding.

Mooie rustige plek om te wachten, werken of af te spreken. Ik mis wel het aanbod van een vers gemaakt broodje.

De stationshuiskamer in Heerlen: vriendelijker kan je niet geholpen worden. Sandra's boys en girls weten hoe het moet. Hebben ook het beste voorbeeld!

Warme sfeer en service gericht medewerker

Ondanks dat het interieur er mooi uitziet en het personeel je een glimlach tovert, draagt geen van hen een gezichtsmasker op hun neus. Als ze deze eenvoudige maatregel niet kunnen schelen, kan ik me voorstellen hoe verrot hun keuken van binnen is.

Straalt "toegankelijkheid" uit, aldus ook erg klantvriendelijk! Verder is er de mogelijkheid om telefoon/tablet/laptop op te laden. Actuele reisadviezen staan duidelijk weergegeven op de NS-display, binnen "NS Stations Huiskamer" zélf.

Hier hangt altijd wel een gezellige sfeer, de werknemers zijn altijd aardig en slaan een gezellig gesprekje zeker niet af, prijzen zijn wel wat aan de dure kant maar dat is ook te verwachten van een winkeltje op het station. Verder is hier niks aan op te merken super!

Heel Heerlen was gesloten op 1 januari, maar in de huiskamer was het warm en gezellig en werden we goed verzorgd door twee dames die heerlijke en koffie en thee maakten. ❤️

Hele mooie ervaring gehad, een mooi open gesprek gehad met de vrouw achter de balie. <3

Friendly personnel and located in the new Heerlen Train station. Unfortunately, the selection of food and snacks is very limited here in my taste, and the opening hours are not that great either. The sitting Space is also limited, but the view is nice.
