NU Nautilus in Wijk 00 Centrum

We found the process quite chaotic; we were regularly ignored. They said they were busy even though only 60% was occupied. Some people were standing outside having drinks, but they could just get their own. We arrived at 6:45 PM, the starter came at 7:30 PM, which is fine. At 8:00 PM, they asked if the main course could come, which we agreed to. We had to wait until 9:30 PM for it, and that is too long. The starter was fine, the fish of the day was good, but my neighbor's steak was slightly less impressive; that quality could be better. The points for improvement are that they shouldn't ignore customers too often, and that the main course should take a maximum of 30 to 45 minutes to arrive, not 1.5 hours, even if it is busy.

Had a very nice and once again wonderful experience with the 2026 lantern parade of the boats, while enjoying delicious food and drinks and super hospitable service !!! You can be proud of this !!

Let me start by saying that we enjoyed ourselves this afternoon. It was a nice dinner with high-quality food! The atmosphere and location are truly top-notch. If I may mention a few points that could be improved: We had to submit our choices in advance. That was fine. However, at the table, we were no longer asked whether the burger and steak should be rare, medium, or well-done. It was all fine for us, but I can imagine that people have other preferences. The soup was not hot enough. The food was served simultaneously/consecutively, but there was a lot of space and time between the first and last plate. I received the fries myself when the steak was almost finished. I didn't want to wait because otherwise the steak would be cold. A small bowl for the waste was missing from the mussels. We had to ask for it. The salad contained no sauce/dressing. So it was less flavorful. The service was friendly and professional. Hopefully, you can do something with this feedback.

Lovely table for 2 with a view of the Maasplassen and a nice marina. It was busy, but despite that, we had a perfect evening with oysters, delicious Vadouvan mussels, and a lovely wine (Verdejo). The service was truly superb, with genuine attention. Compliments, we will definitely be back.

After our visit on August 2nd, which left a very good feeling, we came yesterday with two friends. Besides the delicious food, the hospitality is absolutely top-notch.

Great location, great food! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal of asparagus ravioli, tomato soup, and linguine with mussels in lobster sauce! I highly recommend the non-alcoholic cocktails and the homemade orange soda. By the way, the bread with dip was absolutely delicious – five generous slices! This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

The restaurant certainly has a certain charm, although the finish is poor and messy in some places. The service is good and friendly. However, good communication is lacking. If the kitchen is busy, it is better to let your guests know in advance. That way, guests can start with a small starter. In our case, it ultimately took well over an hour before we received our food. The portions are small; we had a "chicken ragout" which had little flavor, was bland, and contained exactly three pieces of chicken and three pieces of mushroom. For the price charged (€21.50), it was very disappointing. If you want a side dish with it, such as fries, you pay an additional €4.95 on top. The "summer garden ravioli" was fine, but here too, the flavor was lacking and the portion was small. A fairly simple dish with little taste. In short, pricey with little quality. Very unfortunate. The most positive aspects are the location and the view. I would not recommend the food. Just sitting and having a drink is fine. I gave the above feedback to the staff before paying the bill and indicated that I was disappointed. I wonder if anything happens with direct feedback at all, given all the other reviews I've read here.

Delicious lunch at the marina (Nautilus) in Roermond. You can park in a secure area. Very friendly staff and top quality when it comes to the food. Beautiful terrace at the mouth of the Roer into the Maas. Highly recommended!

Tasty food, also a vegan burger as an option. Too bad no vegan dessert. I would like that. My husband and my son eat meat. Their hamburger was fine too, though a bit rare. They just liked it, but I can imagine that someone else might want it well done. It would be nice if you were given that option. The service was good, friendly, everything was to our liking.

Very attentive staff, great value for money

The service was remarkably good. When making the reservation, we indicated that we wanted to sit on the terrace, needed a spot for the stroller, and wanted a low table. Everything was taken into account. Upon arrival, the waitress said that—because we were coming with children and a baby—she had set a spot in the shade for us. Truly excellent! Furthermore, she came to check whether we would prefer to have our food served before or after a large group. Very service-oriented. The food was also a success. We will be back soon.

Nice place, but do make sure the air conditioning works, because those are important things that need to work; you wouldn't want the heating to stop working later in the winter.

Went for Friday afternoon drinks and snacks with the group; it was well organized, good service, and delicious.

Of course, as always, the location is fantastic with a magnificent view over the Roermond Maasplassen lakes. The service was friendly. Unfortunately, we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. That's far too long. They did offer a discount and a free drink when we asked about it. That should have been offered automatically. The food was good, but not spectacular. My sea bass wasn't crispy; in some places, it was more like sushi.

The food is okay, the service could be improved, but the location above/at the harbor is fantastic.

You would think that by the water and the harbor it would be lively and cozy. Unfortunately not!! Upon entering, the glass doors are dirty, all tables are reserved, and the staff is unattentive. We are allowed to sit down anyway and want to order drinks. That takes a long time. Eventually, a lady comes over and we order two glasses of soda. It takes a long time for this to arrive and we are almost ready to leave. There was little friendliness when paying the bill either. This is not the place where we want to enjoy a drink and some bites. We are going to look for another place.

We had a delicious meal with 8 friends, enjoyed the sunny terrace outside, and later were able to move inside when it started to get cooler. Here too, we had a lovely spot with a beautiful view. And it was very special that a large part of the staff were former students of mine who came over for a friendly chat. We had a fantastic afternoon. Thank you!

Unique, atmospheric bistro by the water with delicious food.

We went out for dinner with 3 people; we all ordered starters and main courses, but only the burrata, mussels, and burger were actually well-seasoned. The tuna tataki, tom kha kai soup, and pasta aglio e olio were all bland and unremarkable. Unfortunately, the service did not compensate for this. Making videos was more important than serving the guests. As a result, we sat without drinks for at least 30 minutes. Sadly, after the main course was served, no one asked in between courses if everything was to our liking. Fortunately, they did act on the feedback regarding the food and service. After the feedback, a dessert or a round on the house was offered, and they also came by regularly to ask if everything was alright. Hopefully, this will eventually lead to more flavorful food.

I read previous reviews and was a bit hesitant to make a reservation; unfortunately, the bad reviews turned out to be confirmed. The seating is beautiful, the service is friendly, but the presentation of the food is truly bizarrely bad. A simple salad with some soggy fries on a plate, but relatively expensive prices. The atmosphere is very nice for drinks, but otherwise, unfortunately, it's not.

1st visit; food quality was reasonably good, a bit unimaginative in terms of presentation. The carrots 🥕 with the steak smelled like they had been on the grill, nothing more, just raw. You had to search for the scampi starter in the sauce. Tuna tataki was okay, but too simple in terms of seasoning as well. Service was polite, but lacked that little extra bit of interest that makes you decide to return for this. Otherwise, it was packed and quite noisy. We (2 people) were lucky enough to be seated on the outer edge. But most importantly; if I add up the individual prices of the dishes (without wine), I end up paying exactly as much as two 2-course menus at Kasteeltje Hattem.. So, taking this comparison of location, service, quality and presentation of the food, and the atmosphere/experience into account, we unfortunately spent our money in the wrong place, to my regret.

A venue with a maritime ambiance. Located directly on the marina: trust your boat and hop aboard for a meal or to relax. Very friendly and fast service. The food was appropriate for the location and presented with care. I'd gladly return.

Overall, a great restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere and a view of the harbor. The tuna appetizer could have used one more slice for the price. They skimped on the pasta in the seafood dish. The fennel and orange salad served with the fish consisted of raw, grated fennel and a slice of orange, completely without marinade or seasoning. Service was somewhat disorganized at times.

The scampi in oil were a real surprise! Perfectly cooked, with just that little bit of spice that made you want to keep dipping them with the fresh bread. The oil was so flavorful that we scooped up every last drop. A simple dish, but so well executed. Kudos to the kitchen!

We came for dinner with a group of 18 people. The starters consisted of 5 plates of carpaccio, 5 toasted mushrooms, and 5 small bowls, each containing 5 shrimp. The portions seemed like individual portions, and these were meant to be shared between 5 people. The main course consisted of 5 small pieces of salmon, 5 small dishes of pesto pasta, and 5 plates with 5 skewers on them. We were specifically told that each person could only take one skewer. We also received 5 small bowls of sauerkraut with fries. Again, these were individual portions that we had to share among 5 people. For dessert, we received 3 scoops of ice cream with 2 wafers and 3 chocolate profiteroles, which we again had to share among 5 people. Ridiculously small portions, in my opinion. We ordered drinks twice and didn't receive them. Everyone was afraid to take anything. We also enjoyed the beautiful view, which they emphasized again upon arrival. We were seated inside and had a view of the Roermond bridge and a small parking lot on the grass. I wouldn't return.

Beautiful harbor, just meters from Roermond's charming city center. The harbor master is incredibly kind and helpful. The harbor restaurant is also highly recommended. We had two delicious meals there, and it was simply superb, with very quick service, a beautiful view of the harbor, and a wonderful spot for admiring the beautiful sunsets. In short, a fantastic place.

We had a wonderful meal... The shrimp were truly amazing, as was the chicken satay. Even the satay sauce was delicious and spicy. The spare ribs were super tender... and the service was super friendly.

The restaurant has a great location, a very nice ambiance, and very friendly and helpful service. Unfortunately, the food we ordered at around 3:00 PM took a very long time to arrive, and unfortunately, the Wiener Schnitzel we ordered, which cost around €28, was very small and so overcooked that it was impossible to cut with a normal knife! Because we had two small children with us and had already waited so long, we didn't complain! It's a shame to serve such quality and such a price to a customer!

The food was subpar. I ordered a medium/rare steak and it was served overcooked. The Niçoise salad had a hair in it. I sent both dishes back. The waitress took care of it and did her best. When it was finally served, the dishes were still not good. The steak was not good quality, and very small. The salad was also too small and tasteless; the ingredients were wrong, for example, there was no egg in it.

Neither the service nor the food met expectations. The location, however, with its waterfront view, is beautiful.

Yesterday I went to this restaurant with my children for dinner. The location is great, but the food was very disappointing. Portions were (too) small. I had the worst Salade Niçoise I've ever had! The chef needs to look up the recipe again. There was no dressing, salt, or pepper. The anchovies, cherry tomatoes, carp, or olives were missing. The baby potatoes that came with it were undercooked, so RAW! I mentioned this to the waitress, and she went to the kitchen to report it. She came back saying that the chef had tested it and that the baby potatoes were undercooked! (In my opinion, the baby potatoes hadn't seen any cooking water.) "May I offer you something?" the waitress replied. Unfortunately, she didn't follow through. We paid for what we ate and drank (€206.75). We'll only go back there to have a drink and enjoy the beautiful view. There was a very large group there that preferred the food. We then had to wait about 20 to 30 minutes for our food to be prepared. The waitress asked if we wanted to order bread or something else to tide us over (for a fee). I would have appreciated it if they had simply put something on the table when we received our cocktails. The waitress was stressed and not very friendly.

Great food, nice atmosphere and attentive service. One point of attention; two of my friends had each ordered sour meat with salad and fries. The salad was brought in one bowl for both people. The fries and sour meat were served separately. When my friend made a comment to the waitress about why they had to share the salad from one bowl, the answer was "then we have less dishes". Sorry, but you can't mean that.

We ate here during our trip to Roermond. Overall, we were satisfied. The seating was pleasant, and everyone enjoyed the food. The prices were perhaps a bit too high.

So, I've been there three times in three months... Service is really slow... I thought it was just the beginning of the season. It's absolutely not working, and it's just too expensive! I've tried eating there twice more in 2025... with both the Wiener Schnitzel (which was small) and the burger, there were only a few fries... Poor value for money!
