We stopped by during a bike ride with the kids, and the weather was lovely. Tables and chairs were nicely set up outside. 🌞 Unfortunately, there was no seating inside (even when they didn't offer it to us later when there was seating), so we grabbed a piece of cake and coffee to go and sat outside in the sun. Everyone who passed by said, "Oh, how lovely in the sun!" Then the baker came out and told us we couldn't sit there because there was no service or cleaning. No problem for us, as we just wanted to take a break and then continue cycling. But no, we had to get up and leave the grounds! The people who saw us couldn't understand it, and an older Dutch gentleman came up to me: "Welcome to the Netherlands..." What a shame and sad that the people at the Oerse Molenbakker (Oerse Molenbakker) reacted to us like that!! They could have easily earned some extra money today - just with self-service 🤷🏽‍♀️ We didn't buy any more products and won't be back. Very disappointed - especially for the children!!

This place is absolutely beautiful and cosy. We only had a coffee with tart and it was fresh and delicious. We will definitely go back to try the food. The atmosphere is great and very relaxing with the lovely smell of the bakery hanging in the air.

As regulars, we love coming here for a delicious cup of coffee/cappuccino and a large apple turnover with two forks, which is our lunch. It's a shame the bread can't be sliced ​​thinly (Belgian style). A GREAT LOCATION FOR SENIORS and CYCLISTS.

An old mill where they still grind cereal and make bread. You can buy various types of bread or buy the flour to make your own at home, and they also have some pastries. I've been there several times for breakfast, and they have two very complete breakfast options: coffee, juice, croissant, bread, scrambled eggs, yogurt with granola, cold cuts, etc. The atmosphere is cozy, the waitress is attentive and pleasant, and the setting is very typical of a Dutch farmhouse. Definitely a good place to spend a pleasant time with a cup of coffee.

Unfriendly waitress. Apparently, they closed early today (this week?) due to the heat. It was made very clear to us that they would close at 3:00 PM instead of 5:00 PM when we arrived at 2:30 PM. Several people who came after us were also turned away. This wasn't on the website or Google. Apparently, they posted it on Facebook, but they don't realize that fewer and fewer people have social media. Why have a website if you don't update it there? Next time, we'll skip it, since they're just changing their opening hours and we have to cycle a 45-minute trip each way.

A great place to stop during a bike ride, and a windmill is always fun. The service was very friendly and helpful. The region is known for its giant apple turnovers (pavement tiles). Delicious coffee and cappuccino. A nice feature of this place is the bakery with very tasty bread varieties.

We have been coming to this charming bakery and breakfast/lunchroom in the Sint Jan mill here in Veldhoven for years, but we have noticed a negative change in hospitality in recent months (regularly quite blunt responses to questions - we even saw a family being asked after lunch how long it would take because other people were waiting :-o) and the portion size of, for example, breakfast contains fewer and fewer slices of bread. Hopefully a temporary thing, because the quality of the bread and lunch dishes is otherwise fine.

We visited on mother's day, even though the tables were reserved, they gave us a seat. Great food, good range of options.

Extremely expensive for what you get. 2 slice of bread, 1 tiny bread, 3 slice of cheese, 1 croissant, 1 tasteless egg, 1 package honey, 1 package butter, 1 not fresh juice, 10 gram jam 17 Euros. Never again. Especially the way the waitress is treated. Don't even want to start with asking for 1 extra croissant which they brought without asking with a bit of jam and tried to charge 4.3 Euros.

Very nice and typical and very good food, however my overall rating becomes 3 when I notice that everyone inside the place takes food with their hands, packages it for you and then also touches the money. This is the basis of cleanliness and of this profession. I cannot accept in 2025 that they will take my bread and money which are the dirtiest thing in the world. I hope this criticism will be constructive. Then for the rest really nice place.

How addictively delicious those incredibly large and well-filled apple turnovers are; we don't even get around to trying anything else. Nice, friendly Brabant atmosphere where the tables are not too close together. Nice host and hostess and correct service. The menu is full of Brabant names for dishes, such as a “geplet mikske” which stands for a toasted sandwich. The prices are also great. For people with allergies, there is a card showing what is included in the dishes. Too bad you're so far away from us 🥲, otherwise we would come to you much more often!

Kitchen dealt well with peanut and tree nut allergies. Nice service! Beautiful location. In/under a mill and you can look straight away into the greenery.

I love it and our kids do too. Such a nice place to be. Grandpa also joined us. Fun in combination with delicious snacks 👌 We went there by bike 🚲 And we ate those delicious mega Oerse apple turnovers. And some mini pastries of everything because we couldn't choose between all the goodies. The teenager ate everything in mini, toast, croissant, sausage roll and egg salad. In short, perfect! We took some sausage rolls and sesame bread home with us. Always nice here, especially with the sun on the terrace!

Great location. When the weather was good, we were able to enjoy breakfast in the sun. Some tables were reserved, but it was also possible to get a seat spontaneously. It was no problem to order more butter. The bread was super delicious!

Called in for breakfast at this beautiful bakery and cafe. We had the Breakfast Board which had freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly baked bread with cheese and ham, croissant with butter and jam. Great coffee and a very relaxing place to sit and enjoy the peaceful and beautiful setting. Staff were friendly and attentive. Lots of people coming to buy bread and baked goods to take home. Plenty of outdoor seating and a few indoor tables. Highly recommend.

We bought Christmas bread there. The price is absolutely out of proportion to the Christmas bread. Little spice, dry and no nuts in the dough. With all due respect, the Christmas bread from the supermarket is better and 3x cheaper.

I just want to say that I was very disappointed with your Christmas cake. Due to circumstances I have not been to your place to buy Christmas bread for a few years. But he has really deteriorated in quality. At first it still contained nuts and was well filled with almond paste. Which is no longer the case. A real shame!! The Oerse mill baker is located in the Sint-Jan flour mill in Oerle. At the bottom of the mill there is a restaurant where you can eat delicious sandwiches and salads. Every season there are new delicacies on the menu. Reservations are recommended.

Eten en service waren minder. Wat wel heel erg lekker was, was het brood. Wij hadden een plankje met vleeswaren en kaas. Ik denk een typisch geval van, schoenmaker blijf bij je leest. Het is een heel leuk plekje en vooral in de zomer denk ik dat ik nog een keer terug kom om andere brood producten te proberen

Wat een kostelijk brood wordt daar verkocht. Én banketstaaf én gevulde speculaas. We gingen er op een zondag naar toe om de molen te bekijken (ca. 15:00) en toen was de winkel al dicht. Toch mochten we nog even binnenkomen, en het eerste wat dan opvalt is de overheerlijke geur van vers gebakken brood. Daar kan je wel de hele dag in verblijven. Jammer dat ik zo ver weg woon. Met een absoluut top bakkerij. Prijzen zijn niet voor een klein beursje. Maar ze zijn eerlijk. 77 euro met 3 volwassenen en 1 kind. Prijzen liggen tussen de €7,50-€25 euro. Maar het helemaal waard! Heerlijke koffie latte en diverse non en alcoholische dranken. alleen de muntthee met verse munt net wat te weinig muntbladeren. “Doe maar wat “plankje echt van genoten! Met limoncello cake een heel apart chocolade en meer lekkers! Niet twijfelen Doen doen doen!!
